Chapter 4 a peaceful yet crazy week

Well after the first day i was going stir crazy unable to run and the stale white walls were starting to feel like a prison cell and of course the one locked up was one who wasn't used to staying in one spot longer then 10 minutes. Second day was more interesting since my legs wouldn't stop bouncing which then lead to them strapping my legs down. which I understood didn't want the patient to hurt himself but it was annoying since I only saw my friends 3 hours a day. My dreams were nice for once I had a couple dreams where blaze said she loved me. Finally one more day until I can leave.

I stare at a wall as i bounce a rubber ball Tails brought me but I still wanted to move so as I bounce it I grit my teeth 6 days in one spot is the most boring and frustrating thing in the world. Needless to say I was ready to tear my quills out at least until i heard a knock on my door. "Come in." I look up to see silver come in. "Oh hey bud been too busy to visit?" I smirk as he sighs.

"Yeah sorry sonic." He giggles nervously rubbing the back of his head.

"Silver its fine I'm glad to see you." I giggle knowing how nervous he can be. Even though he's an optimist he hasn't had a lot of social interactions so most of the time he's uncomfortable with talking. 'Still strange that they put blaze in his future. Then again sonic 06 was a mistake in more ways than one.'

"Yeah well sadly I can't stay long but you have an impatient guest." He laughs as he leaves, causing me confusion as to who until I heard a very angry mother's voice.

"Oh no why is mom upset." My question was answered immediately when Sonia and Manic came jumping onto my bed jarring me. "Ow shit. Guys settle down."

Aleena walks in. "Sonia don't hurt your brother. Manic return the fentanyl." Manic runs back to the desk. "Sorry Sonic."

I groan and give a reassuring smile. "It's ok mom just the hazards of being Sonic the hedgehog."

Mom rolls her eyes. "Ok Maurice." I wince slightly as she uses my middle name. As soon as I got to the human world I changed my first name but i kept my middle name since I didn't mind it but Ogilvie didn't feel like me. Sonic became my name after everyone started calling it because of my speed, makes more sense since I wasn't very talkative when I started as a hero.

"Well what do I owe the honor of being in the presence of a queen?" The statement almost earned me a smack since she has told me to stop referring to her as a queen since I'm her son. "Manic leave my meds alone."

She rolls her eyes. "I can't take you two anywhere. Sorry sonic you know if I left they would have invited their friends."

"It's ok I understand and I definitely wouldn't want to clean up after that. I'm glad to see you. And I'm sorry for scaring you."

"It's ok I wish you'd be like your friend Blaze and be more willing to be a king. Hehe though from what I've heard from Tails you two may become a king and queen." She smiled teasing.

I look at her confused. "What do you mean we're just friends?"

"Oh so saying things like blaze noooo, or i love you too blaze in your sleep isn't a sign of feelings?" She grinned as I blushed and stuttered.

"No I mean maybe but she doesn't like me back. Sides i don't know how to approach a princess."

Aleena smiles as I try to come up with excuses. "Says the one who has challenged kings just because they thought Knuckles was lost? Or how about Sally?"

"That's different sides I'm faster than them and blaze has a bit of a temper if she so wished she could burn me plus she is almost as fast as me. Sally was my first girlfriend and I made many mistakes." I ramble for 5 more minutes while my mom giggles about my obvious nervousness. Besides I've not been very good with feelings."

"It's ok sonic but remember don't let life pass you by. Blaze and you may have different personalities but you have much In common and with how much chaos energy you have encountered you may live forever like Shadow and Blaze may be like the last sol protector and live until outside forces end her."

I look down remembering how I was told about how the last sol protector was ended by Nega after they became close friends. "I know and I'd like to be with her but what if i don't i don't want her to be alone. Besides I don't want to make the same mistakes as I did with Sally."

"Think about it Sonic. Those mistakes will helped you know what not to do." She pats my shoulder as the nurses tell her that visiting hours are over.

"Ok mom I'll see you after I take care of the titan." As she leaves I do I think about it. "Heh well she probably is more used to reporters and attacks than most but would she like me back. Hmm maybe I'll ask for her help have her be burning Blaze distract the Titan long enough for me to get the emerald and from there we can take it together." Nods as my plan comes together and drifts off into sleep.

Too bad it was going to be another nightmare.
