Chapter 5: freedom

I woke up in a sweat and checked my chest. "Stupid nightmares maybe a side effect of interacting with the end." After an hour my doctor came in and we took some x-rays and found I was in perfect shape and i walked out to the waiting room. There was Amy,Tails,knuckles, robotnic, and blaze.

"Sonic!" They all said.

"Hey guys good to see you." I smiled as Amy and tails hug me. Knuckles fist bumps me and robotnic shakes my hand. "Alright doc how did the search for the emeralds go?"

"Good we have 5 out of 6 the last one is being elusive." As Robotnic says this I nod.

"Sounds like a normal day. I came up with a plan for when we face this titan im going to need Blaze's help." She got an intrigued facial expression. "I'll need you to distract it as burning Blaze as Tails gets me close enough to jump onto it and from there I get the last chaos emerald and as super sonic I'll help you fight it and we should be able to easily defeat it."

Blaze nods. "And here i thought you rushed in without thinking."

"Normally but hey sometimes you can't relay on speed." I say as I wink to Robotnic.

"Sounds like a good plan Sonic. But in the meantime as Tails and I look for the last emerald shadow and queen aleena want to talk to you." The doctor said as he gave me a tracker for Shadow.

"Wonder what that faker wants. Hey Blaze after that mind meeting me at my house maybe go for another run?" Smiles remembering when we explored.

She smiles and nods. "Of course just no more scenic routes." She smirked but wasn't against it.

"Aww but they are the best." I wave as I start running to my mom's house.

Blazes' pov

"Silly hedgehog." I couldn't help but whisper. As I watch him go I feel a hand on my shoulder and looks behind me to see Amy. Part of me doesn't like her since I've heard how much she tries to get Sonic to marry her but I know she's calmed down but it still bugs me. I don't know why especially when i started liking Sonic after she calmed. "Can i help you Amy?"

Amy smiled and motioned for me to follow her and heads outside as we go she hugs me. "I'm happy to see that you are taking a liking to someone."

"W what do you mean?" I was surprised.

"I saw how you looked at sonic it's obvious even under your mask. Heh i think the only one who wouldn't realize is Sonic he can be oblivious especially since he's used to me and Sally being upfront." Amy said as she did little hops.

"Oh I it is? I thought you would be mad." I asked a little confused.

Amy nodded. "Yeah hehe and don't worry other than still looking up to him, my feelings have passed. Besides the more I've gotten to know Shadow the more I realize I like him. We actually went on a date not long before Sonic got attacked."

"Ah well congratulations. Is that all?" I wasn't sure what I should say, I've been so focused on being a princess and a protector that I've never had or talked about relationships before.

"Well no i wanted to give some advice I got from Sally. The best thing to do is be a little forward but obviously not as much as I was. But the reason there relationship failed was stress on both sides and Sally wanted to slow him down but you and him love to run so use your time with him tonight as a way to show how you would handle the relationship. Maybe ask what he is looking for in a relationship." I nod realizing how useful that advice is. "Also lower the mask let him see your emotions be vulnerable around him and let him do the same."

"Hmm i don't normally put it down but i will I guess especially if I want him to open up so must i. Thank you Amy, um also where's his house?"
