Chapter 6: she drives me batty
Knuckles pov
After watching Sonic run off and the girls leave i decided it would be best if i went on a walk and enjoy the nature of the nearby forest. As I walk I pull out my phone checking to see if rouge had texted back she was on a solo mission when i got on the mainland and had't texted back since then but i had confidence she was fine. "Darn bat making me worry for no reason." But as I say that i have to smirk she may act cold and calculating or just materialistic but on our dates ,when not an extravagant dinner, when we are on my island she shows how much she cares or how much she wants a family. She just was raised by a very materialistic mom so to prove herself she makes sure to have as much as possible.
"What are you thinking about knucky?" I roll my eyes as a very familiar and yet teasing voice reaches my ears. "Thinking about a very lovely bat?"
"I don't know what you mean. Sides she must not be thinking about me." I quip as suddenly a pair of wings surround me.
"Awww is the proud warrior upset i didn't text back?" She whispers tenderly in my ear making me shiver.
"N no I'm used to being ignored especially but stuck up little bats." Grins as I hear a mock gasp.
"I'm so hurt here I thought you loved this stuck up bat?" She let go as she was about to go into a mock rant until I turn around pulling her down from the tree and kissing her passionately. "Mm heh well don't you know how to treat a lady?"
"I would hope so but if push comes to shove I could go primal and just take you for myself." Giggles as she playfully swoons.
"Oh please do mister knuckles." She quickly pecks my lips. "It's good to see you knuckles."
"It's good to see you too rouge I've missed you." I smile as I sit. "How long were you following me?"
"Not long I was listening to Amy and Blaze before I followed you." Rouge smirked as she sat in my lap refusing to get her rear dirty.
"Oh? What was so interesting to stop you from your normal pattern?" I look at her surprised.
"Not much other than Blaze has a crush on Sonic." Rouge smiled sweetly.
"Hmm strange I thought she liked Silver?" I giggled.
"Heh well as a brother. They apparently only see each other as siblings heh kinda strange since they were from different places but that's how they see it. But they would have been a cute couple." She smiled as she nuzzled into my chest.
"Hmm agreed but I see where they are coming from. That's how me, Sonic, and Tails feel." I smile as Rouge and I slowly fall asleep.
