Recap

Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: At long last it was the final day of the first round as the finals fights were about to begins. First up it was Kiriha Blue flare as they took on the burst linker Graphite edge. Blue flare held their ground but in the end they were no match for Graphite edge sheer power. Next up it Henry and Terriermon as they face Scarlet of Team SSSN. It was tough going but Henry was able to out think Scarlet as he and Terriermon were able to take him down. Lastly it was time for the final mask as the mask fighter Ryuhoshi took on the second Arrancar Barrigan. The match was strange as Ryuhoshi was immune to Barrigan aspect of death as she was able to cut down the arrancar as Tamers grew concern about who this girl was. With the first round finally over it was now time to begin the second round.

Chapter 70

Round 2 part 1

Clash of Spirits

Takato Pov: At long last it was time to start off the second round of the smash brothers tournament. It been a month as we saw many intense matches. We hit some rough spots as we lost a few crest to the Hazardous one. We to make sure to nag onto them for as long as possible. I was with my team and sisters as I was getting ready for my match. " Man it about time for the second round to start. It went on for too long." Rika said annoy. " What you expect there are at least over 200 people fighting in this." Kenji said. " What more it allow us to see what all the fighters are capable of so far. This way we can plan out carefully how to defeat them." Renamon said. "True, many of the newcomers look to be strong." Mythra said. "We got this in the bag Mythra." Pyra said pump. I grin. "Same here I'm really eager to take on Joker again." I said. " But you will need to get pass that Sorey person first." Elize said. " She right, Sorey and his group are no joke. Most of all when they fuse together." Rika said. " Don't worry, I have this cover." I said as I got up. " Good luck Papa." Hikari said. I pat her on the head. " Thanks kiddo." I said as me and Guilmon make our way out of the stands to get to the ring. Along the way I saw Ryuhoshi in the hallway. " So we meet again Takato." She said. " Same, tell me just how did you beat Barrigan? It one thing to beat the 2nd Espada, but to counter his aging power is another. What I should ask is just who are you?" I ask. She chuckles as she cross her arms. Her bandage arms look to twitch a bit. "Did my research on the winter war. It better to be prepare then face the unknow." She said. That phrase, it something I tend to say at times. "I see, so what you want? I assume there a reason why you here." I said. "Simply to you wish you luck and to assure you that I am a friend." She said as she walk next to me. "And to give you some advice. Do not trust Master hand. You think he is on your side but you are mistaken." She said as she walk away.

"What is she on about?" I ask. "Focus on it later, you have a match to fight." Moeru Ryu said. He right I need to stay on task. We hurry to the ring to start our match. Once there I saw Sorey was waiting for us. " Alright everyone it time to begin the first match of the second round. We have the Tamer of the Hazard Takato Outway and his partner Guilmon vs the Shepard Sorey." Milton said. "I hope your ready Sorey because me and Guilmon are not holding back." I said as we got ready. " Same here Takato show me what you got." Sorey said. 'Alright both fighters look to be set, so let ready the Field." Miltons aid as the ar field activate around us as we were outside Zhuchaomon palace. " Well this bring back memoires." I said. 'Somewhere from your world?" Sorey ask. 'Sort of, but that can wait let go." I said. 'Alright the field is Zhuchaomon domain let get to the action Smashers Clash!" Meyer shout as the match begins.

Takato and Guilmon vs Sorey

Me and Sorey charges at each others as we clash and lock blades. Guilmon use this to jump over me. "Rock breaker!" He shout as he brought down his claw to force Sorey back. "Burn them a2way Moeru Ryu!" I shout as I unleash my shikai. "Nensho Surasshu!" I shout as I shot the flame slash at the young Shepard. "frigid moon!" Sorey shout as he swung his sword to send out a blade of ice to counter my attack. As the steam block my view of him. I saw Sorey rush through it as he thrust his sword at me as I move to parry him. We swung at each other as we counter the other moves. "Sword rain!" He shout as he rapidly thrust his sword at me. "Dragon fangs!" I shout as I move to counter all of his strikes.

"Guilmon!" I call out to my partner. "Pyro sphere!" He shout as he shot his energy ball as it slam into Soprey making him slide back. " You guys are good." He said as he rub his cheek. " So are you let keep going." I said as I flash step in front of him as he was surprise. "Beast!" I shout as I send the dragon head at him. "Lion howl!" He shout as he punch his left fist at me as a it form a blue lion head. The two heads clash and cancel each other out as the impact made us slide back from each other. "Shit that was wild, I'm starting to enjoy myself. How about we stop holding back Bankai! Shinku Moeru Ryu-o no kiba!" I shout as I went all out. "So this is your true power?" Sorey ask. "That right I show you mine so let see yours." I said as I point my sword at him. He nods. " Alright Mikleo!" Sorey call out as the white hair boy appear next to him." With you Sorey." He said as he turn into a ball of light and enter Sorey. "Luzrou Rulay!" He shout as he gave out a blue light. When it clears he was in the outfit from before. Only the yellow details were now blue as were his eyes as he was holding a large well crafted bow. "So it true, you can use different elements when you fuse with your friends. This one water it won't enough to beat me." I said as I got ready for him. "We'll about that Azure assault!" He shout as he shot water arrows at me. I ignite my wings to move avoiding them. "Moeru Talho!" I shout as I send the fire blast at him. "Binding vortex!" He shout as he fire a blast of compress water to counter the flames. "This is getting us nowhere. How about we end this." I said. 'With pleasures. This bow is the heavens The vortex swallow you!" He shout as he launch more arrows at me. I rush forward to dodge them and got ready to end this. "Behold this is the sword of the dragon king!" I shout as I switch to a revers grip and closes in on him.

Sorey bow retract into a sharp blade as he came at me. "Ryugonken/Aqua Limit!" We shout as we slash at each other as we passes the other. We stood a foot away from each other with our backs turns. My bankai armor shatters as I fell to my knee. But Sorey fell onto his chest as he spilt from Mikleo. 'And it over folks, with an epic clash the winner is Takato!" Meyer shout as the crowd cheers. I went over to Sorey to help him and Mikleo to their feet. " Good match Takato." Sorey said as he offer his hand to me. I shook and nod. " Same here, hell of a fight, come on I'll help you to the infirmary." I said as me and Guilmon help them out of the ring. My thoughts went back to what Ryuhoshi said. What did she mean. Kadame Pov: Were all in awe by the event of the second round first match as the epic clash between Takato and Sorey came to a end. Both fighters were incredible and fierce. "Woah dudes did you see that it was fucking amazing." Ryuji said amaze. "Indeed, both fighters were highly skill and well train. But it appears that Takato is the better warrior. I'm quite eager to have a go at him." Xuelan said eager to fight. "According to my data Takato Outway is one of the strongest fighters we seen so far. Odds of defeating him are low." Rein said. 'Please I'm sure if he face my Kadame he will lose." Shuuka said as she hug me from behind. " Maybe Shuuka. Now that I have seen more of what he can do I might be able to come up with a plan. But I would need to learn more about Guilmon to be fully ready." I said. " True we have yet to see him transform like the other Digimon. Not knowing what he could turn into will be a problem." Ouji said. " For now we should focus on the next match. Sui your up." I said . The blue hair girl nods. " I know were ready to take on Greninja." She said as her face grins.

'Yeah we'll kick frog boy ass." Shota said. "Good luck guys." Ryuji said as Sui head off for her match. "They should be alright we came up with a plan to defeat Greninja durning the first round." Rein said. "Let hope so, about half of us were taken out in the first round." Man I still can't believe I lost to that cat girl." Oboro said with a pout. "At least you didn't go up against that nut job Strea, man I got nightmares about her. I still blame Xuelan for beating up her friend." Ryuji said as he glare at Xuelan who smirk. " It was a battle like I hold back." She said. " Ok guys enough, let focus on Sui match it about to start." I said as we turn our attention to the ring. We saw Sui and Greninja enter. 'Alright it time for the next match. We have the water maiden of the Sunset ravens Sui vs the frog ninja Greninja." Milton said. "Let have a good match Greninja." Sui said with a bow. Greninja bow back. " Indeed young one." He said. "Alright look like both sides are ready, so let set the field." Meyer said as the ring ar field activate. We saw they were on a beach with strange curve spike rocks sticking out of the water. " And it the Kijara seafalls, alright time to get wet. Smashers clash!" Meyer shout as the match begins.

Sui vs Greninja

Sui swung her hands as she made the water shot up as it went for Greninja. The ninja jump to avoid it as he head for Sui. "Water shuriken!" He shout as he threw the water shurikens at Sui. But Sui held up her hand as the stars stop in front of her. "I think these are yours!" She shout as she thrust her hands forward sending them flying back at Greninja who back flip to dodge them. Sui then use the water to ride forward to get close to Greninja.

An ice sword form in her hand. "Get some!" Shota shout as he took control as he slash at the ninja. "Cut!" Greninja shout as he form a white blade in his hand as he cut Shota blade in half. He switch back with Sui as she sank into the water to get back. She pop out by the beach. "Pollux light!" She shout as she send a wave of water at him. "Hydro pump!" Greninja shout as he shot a water blast from his mouth to bust through the wave as it went for use her arm to make the attack bend around her. "Man this is getting intense." Ryuji said as we watch the match. " Both sides mostly use water attacks. What more Sui know Greninja have close range attacks as she is keeping him at a distance or switch with Shota." Rein said. " Either way it going to be close." I said. "Night slash!" Greninja shout as he form a pair of black energy kunai in his hands as he rushes at Sui. "Oh that how you want to play frogger then let go." Shota said as he form a pair of ice swords as the two slashes at each others. They counter each other as Shota kick Greninja in the chest to force him back. "Your skill child, but it time to end this. Water pulse!" Greninja shout as he shot the ball of compress water at her. Sui cup her hands together to stop the water as she slide back a bit. "I won't give up!" She shout as she send the attack back as it slam into Greninja and explodes. Sui cry out as a pillar of water burst up to grabbing the pokemon. "Castor light!" Shota shout as the water freeze trapping Greninja. "Game over." Shota said with a grin. But it was short live as Greninja look to be growing in the ice. It soon crack and shatters as Greninja look to change. The fins on the sides of his head were black with a red star on his forehead. His eyes were red as his body was now a darker shade of blue. What more their was a large water shuriken on his back.

"Incredible Greninja was push to use his infamous battle bond form!" Milton shout in awe. "You battle well Sui, but the battle end now Super water shuriken!" Greninja shout as he threw the giant Shurkien at her. Sui was able to stop it as Greninja was in front of her as she didn't see him move. " Areial ace!" He shout as he slam into her and strike with a white energy blade. Sui cry out as she was sent out of the ring. "And it over folks, Sui put up a good fight. But was no match for Greninja." Meyer said. " Dude." Ryuji said. "We didn't consider that Greninja could have a transformation."" Rein said as she work on her computer. 'Appear so, so at least Sui did her best." I said. " I'll go see if she alright." Shuuka said as she went to get Sui. " That frog was tough." Oboro said. " Yeah let hope were able to face him if one of us get the chance. For now let watch the next match." I said as we waited for the next match to start. Kirito Pov: Man the last match was sure something as Greninja surprise us with his new form. That Sui girl was good, but was no match for the Pokemon. "Dude that freaking frog was badass." Klein said in shock by the match outcome. " Agreed Greninja was skill and powerful and that transformation of his will be a force to be reckon with." Alice said. " Wonder how Takato will deal with froggy?" Yuuki ask. " Knowing Takato, he would had fought against Greninja before since he been to this tournament before." I said. " Chances are he have a plan to beat most of them here." Sinon said. " Let hope we won't have to to fight him yet." Lisbeth said worry. " Anyway isn't your match next sis?" Seven ask her sister. Rain smirk. " Darn right, Kirito what you got on this Nene girl?" She ask. " Well she pretty good, she mostly relay on her Mervamon in battle. But treads to call Sparrowmon for support. Either way watch yourself Rain." I said. The redhead nod. " Got it wish me luck." She said as she head off to get ready for her match. "Think she can win?" Eugeo ask. 'Rain good, but Digimon are tough to fight." I said recalling some battles when I first became a tamer. "Please Kirito my big sis got this." Seven said having faith in her sister. " That she is let see how this play out, here they come." Asuna said as we look to see the fighters were coming. Rain and Nene stare at each other as they enter the ring. " Alright it time for the next match everyone. It a clash of idols as it Rain vs Nene." Milton said. " So you're an idol too huh, want to do a show after this?" Rain said as she draw her swords. " We'll see let settle this." Nene said as she call out Mervamon. " Alright both fighters are ready to go, let choose the field." Milton said as the ring turn into a raceway. "And it the port town aero way. Alright ladies have at it Smashers clash!" Meyer shout as the match begins.

Rain vs Nene and Mervamon

"Medulla punch!" Mervamon shout as she started things off by throwing her snake arm at Rain. Rain jump over it to land and run along the arm, "Howling octave!" Rain shout as she thrust her swords at Mervamon who use her large sword to block it. "Olympia kai!" Mervamon shout as she swung her great sword at Rain waist. Rain smirk as she duck down to slide under the blade and strike at Mervamon side to push her back. " You ok Mervamon?" Nene ask in concern for her partner. " I'll be fine, she better then I thought." Mervamon said as she charges at Rain and begun to swing at her. Rain move quickly to stay on the move. " Rain is just toying with her." Sumeragi said. " True, but it how she fights. Hoping they will make a mistake." Philia said. 'Let see if it works." I said. "Double circular!" Rain shout as she rushes forward swinging her swords in a circle pushing the Digimon back. But suddenly another blade nearly got her as she saw Nene holding a killing edge item like a true swordsman. "Didn't expect you know how to use a sword." Rain said with a smirk. " Had a part in a samurai drama once it was quite fun now let go." Nene said as she attack Rain forcing the redhead to block. Rain held her ground as she held Nene back. "Random lasers!" A voice shout out as Rain look up to see Sparrowmon swoop down as she shot her lasers at Rain. Rain form her wings to take to the air to dodge Sparrowmon attack. " Ok girl the kids gloves are off. Thousand sword rain!" Rain shout as she form dozens of swords and shot them at her foes. Mervamon move to cover Nene as the swords pelted her. "Ok time to end the show." Nene said as she took out her Xros loader. " Mervamon/Sparrowmon Digi-Xros!" She shout. "Digi-Xros Jetmervamon!" They shout as they combine. Jetmervamon shot into the air to charge at Rain. Rain couldn't react in time as the Digimon tackle her. "Let go for a ride! Madness merry go round DX!" Jetmervamon shout as she spun Rain around until she let go as Rain was sent flying out of the ring. "And it over the winners by ring out are Nene and Jetmervamon!" Milton shout. " Dude what the heck was that!" Lisbeth shout. 'Aw sis." Seven said feeling bad for her sister lost. " There always next time." I said. " True but still your friends are nuts." Leafa said with a shake of her head. "That they are, let see what happen next." I said as we waited for the next match to start.
