A/N Hello I'm back with another chapter. Sorry for the late upload, I was trying to upload Monday but work got in the way lol But on top of the late upload, I also had SO much to do between this update and the last update. I graduated college, celebrated the holiday, the new year, and my birthday :) I also had rlly long acrylic nails for graduation that I could NOT type in, so that slowed down the chapter as well lol But I am back with an update, hopefully the next update won't be as long.
Some things before reading, this chapter does have sexual content in it, just giving you a fair warning. I don't want it to startle anyone lol Besides that, standard chapter. I recently saw a post that said God is a Girl Dad and it made me hysteric. So in light of that post, since God is a Girl Dad I made sure that Dende is at least a girl's girl. Happy Reading :)
The world seemed to fall into silence after blurting out the news. Dende couldn't stop himself, and the words came out without warning. He just wanted to stop Gohan from kissing him, and telling him worked. Gohan pulled away from him, shocked at his words.
Dende continued to speak through Gohan's shock. "The day I tried to heal her. When I touched her—"
"You knew then? And didn't tell me? You just left?" Gohan asked angrily.
Dende recoiled at his reaction. "What else did you expect me to do? I was the only one that knew."
Gohan thought for a moment, wondering if Videl knew herself. He had to see for himself. Without another word, Gohan left the bathroom.
Dende sighed. That was more unexpected than he thought, but it explained why Gohan wouldn't stop staring at him. He shouldn't have been so curious, and enticed. Now, he just wanted to leave. Go back to his bed and sleep through a rather irritating ending to the night.
Chiaotzu pushed the stall door open after flushing the toilet. "I heard everything, including what was in your head." He said walking over to the sink.
Dende reached for his roommate, holding him up to the sink's height in order for him to wash his hands. "I didn't want to be the one to tell them."
"I know," Chiaotzu said, washing his hands. "Your thoughts about Gohan were disgusting, but you did the right thing. Let's get outta here. I'll have Tien walk with us."
"Dende? Chiaotzu?"
The roommates looked over at the bathroom door, finding Sahir in the doorway. They greeted him happily and he smiled at the warm greeting. "Hey, I was looking for Gohan. I saw him come in. Did you see him?"
Dende nodded, placing his roommate back down when he was done with his hands. "Yes, he came to look for me." Dende grabbed paper towels for Chiaotzu, and handed them to him. "You should take him back to his dorm Sahir, he's really drunk. We're leaving now, so have a good night."
Sahir nodded in understanding. "I'll find him and get him to bed. Sorry if he's caused a commotion. Be safe getting back."
Dende headed out the bathroom with Chiaotzu, stopping at Sahir. "Before I forget, here," He said and reached in his pockets, pulling out the Zeni and shoving it in his hands. "Keep this. I don't need it. Good night Sahir."
Sahir's eyes widened at the amount of money shoved in his hands. He never saw this much Zeni all at once, and Dende basically threw it at him. He almost didn't want to take it, but they were gone before he could return it.
…
It was not long before Gohan found Videl, grabbing her arm and turning her to him. "Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?"
Videl wasn't sure if she was more shocked by the question, or confused about how he knew. What she did know, was that she was angry about how he was handling her. "I was going to tell you." She said, snatching her arm away. "I could have told you over break, but you never called me back." This was the last place she wanted to talk about something so private, but she wasn't accepting malicious treatment from a drunken boyfriend.
Gohan was annoyed by her reply. "I told you I was busy, and I said I was sorry."
Videl folded her arms. "Not sorry enough apparently. How did you know I was pregnant?"
"Dende told me, in the bathroom."
Videl blinked. "So after staring at him all night, you follow him to the bathroom, and he tells you I'm pregnant?" She still didn't know how Dende knew about her pregnancy, but that wasn't important. She needed to know what happened before then. Videl shook her head. "That doesn't make sense, Gohan. Why did you follow him to the bathroom?"
"I just wanted to talk to him."
"About what?"
"Nothing important."
Videl grimaced. "Gohan, I'm not drunk, and I'm not stupid. Stop lying to me, and tell me the truth."
"I'm not lying!"
"Yes you are! Why can't you just admit to me that you like—"
"Dende!"
The two pulled away from their argument to look at Erasa, who was pointing in the crowd. "He's right there. Why don't you ask?"
Immediately Videl went over to Dende, tapping his shoulder for his attention. "Hey Dende? Can you tell me what happened between you and Gohan in the bathroom?"
Dende looked back at her and then over to Gohan. Gohan was his friend, but he didn't approve of his actions in the bathroom. Videl deserved to know the truth, but it shouldn't come from him. He's already done enough damage for tonight. "Gohan should be able to tell you. It's not my place to tell you, it should stay between the two of you."
Videl frowned. First she couldn't get an answer from Gohan, and now Dende was covering for him. She balled her fists in anger. "So you're fine with intervening in our relationship when the problem isn't about you, but when you are the problem, you don't want to get involved?"
"Can't you see he's sparing your feelings—"
"Chiaotzu, it's okay." Dende spoke to his roommate, stopping him before he could go any further. He was already insulted enough by the comment, he could speak for himself. Dende turned back to Videl and leaned down to her ear to speak privately. "I want to make something clear, I'm not the problem. I kept my distance for a reason tonight. Gohan sought me out in the bathroom, and what I told him was more important than what he was telling me. Gohan is the problem, and if he won't tell you what happened, then you should break up with him."
Videl watched as he walked away with his roommate, surprised by his blunt but honest statements. She never thought that Dende would admit that Gohan was the problem. Dende might have had feelings for Gohan, but he wasn't biased, and she could respect that. Videl looked over at Gohan, who had been talking to Sahir. She didn't know where her relationship with him would go after this, but she at least hoped that she and Dende could still be friends.
Videl felt a comforting hand reach out to her. "You okay Videl? I hope Dende told you something you needed to hear."
Videl looked back at Erasa and nodded. "I'm fine. He told me enough. I'll talk to him later when I talk to Gohan again. Right now, I could use a drink."
Erasa smiled wryly. "How about a milkshake and some sleep?"
"That works too."
Dende stepped out of the Launchbox with Chiaotzu. He looked down the street and sighed. "As if the end of my night couldn't get any worse, the fruit stand is closed." He announced sadly.
Chiaotzu looked around as well, his hands cupped around his eyes as binoculars. "Sorry you couldn't get your fruit. You didn't get your water either."
"Don't remind me. I'm parched, starved, annoyed…I'm sure something else."
"Drunk."
"Thank you."
Chiaotzu continued to search the street. "Those chicken tenders I ate earlier were really good, but I could use something sweet. Fruit would have been good right now."
"I got enough for the both of you."
Dende and Chiaotzu turned around, finding Tien behind them with fruit cups and water bottles.
Dende sighed in relief. "Tien, you deserve the world. Thank you." He said taking the fruit and water bottle.
"I didn't think you were listening to my thoughts. Dende was cramming up a lot of my headspace." Chiaotzu said, grabbing his fruit cup from his bodyguard.
Tien carefully picked up Chiaotzu. "I always hear your thoughts Chiaotzu, though you sounded distracted when I heard them." He said and seated him on his shoulders to begin their journey back to campus. "How was your night out?"
"It was fun until Dende got a drunken love confession in the bathroom."
Tien looked over at his Emperor's roommate in surprise. "Really? I didn't expect you to be the intimate type Dende."
"I'm not." He muttered between his slices of fruit. "I had feelings for a friend, but he was in a relationship already. I was fine with the feelings being unrequited until he confessed to me."
Tien hummed in understanding. "Sounds like a love triangle then. Those can get messy. That's why I'd rather stay to myself than be distracted by relationships."
Dende continued to snack on his fruit. "Funny you mention that."
"What do you mean?"
"Dende stop talking—"
"Chiaotzu arranged a date for you with a bartender."
Chiaotzu was glad he was balancing a fruit cup on top of Tien's head, he couldn't imagine the disapproving look he had on his face, even though Chiaotzu was giving the same look of disapproval to Dende.
"Chiaotzu how many times have I told you—"
"I was just trying to be a good friend, Tien. I've been married before, and you haven't even had a girlfriend. I don't want you alone forever, you deserve someone too."
Of course it was nice his Emperor would consider his happiness and willingly seek companionship for him, but Tien didn't need a partner. Chiaotzu was enough. He's been his friend for as long as he could remember, and his bodyguard even longer. Tien found his purpose in being Chiaotzu's appointed royal guard, his Emperor would always come first before anything. "I appreciate the effort, but I don't need help finding someone. Cancel the date, I can spend it taking you to an amusement park instead."
Chiaotzu scowled. "I'm not falling for that again. You're going on that date Tenshinhan, that's an order from your Emperor." He spoke firmly.
Tien sighed. Using an Emperor's Order was petty and a misuse of authority, but he should have expected it. "Yes Emperor Chiaotzu." He replied.
"Again? " Dende questioned in thought, wondering how Chiaotzu could be so naive to an amusement park.
"Shut up Dende."
Dende giggled. "I didn't think you heard me."
"So Chiaotzu can hear your thoughts as well? Seems like you two were meant to be roommates." Tien said.
Dende nodded as he opened his water bottle. "Chiaotzu spilled some tea, and burned his hand. When I healed his hand, I suppose he was able to hear my thoughts after that."
"Chiaotzu told me during his break. You're a gentle soul Dende, healing suits you."
Dende smiled. "Thank you Tien." Dende said before taking a drink of water. Instantly the smile turned into a look of disgust. "Ugh, what is this?" He asked, reading the water bottle label.
"I got them from the fruit stand. Just purified water sold anywhere else." Tien answered.
"It tastes weird, but I don't know why." He said before shaking his head. "I have water back in the dorm, I'll just wait for that."
Chiaotzu took a drink of his own water bottle, the water tasted fine to him. He should have known. Tien wouldn't have given it to him if it didn't. Then he gasped at the realization. "The water in the dorm is from Mifan. That's all you've been drinking."
Dende's eyes widened. Chiaotzu was right. The only water he drank at University was water from Mifan. Over the break the water was fine as well. Mount Paozu water tasted refreshing and water at home tasted familiar. However the bottle of purified water given to him was appalling, and left a bad taste in his mouth. "Water really does taste different." He muttered.
The walk back to campus was quiet until Gohan and Sahir continued their journey after walking Videl and Erasa to their dorm. The talk mainly consisted of Gohan drunkenly muttering to himself about tonight's outing.
"I can't believe she would keep something like this from me."
"She said she was going to tell you."
Gohan entered the dorm building. "I've been with Videl all week. She had plenty of opportunities to tell me instead of waiting."
Sahir followed after him. "You can't rush her into telling you. Give her the benefit of the doubt brother."
Gohan stopped in front of their room, fishing for his keys. "Well I'd like to, but I had to find out from Dende, of all people, that my girlfriend is pregnant. What was stopping her from telling me?"
"Maybe staring at Dende all night stopped her?"
Gohan stopped his search to look back at his roommate incredulously. "Whose side are you on?"
Sahir pulled out his key from his pocket, and unlocked the door. "I'm just stating facts, but you're leaving something out and it's obvious. If you're not going to be honest with anyone, you should at least be honest with yourself."
Gohan didn't reply. As much as he didn't want to consider his roommate's counseling in this state, it would surely stay in the back of his head throughout the night. He quietly bid Sahir a good night, and prepared himself for bed.
.
.
.
Gohan tossed and turned in his sleep. Trying to sleep while intoxicated left his body feeling unsettled, like he was floating in an endless sea. When his body finally settled, he fell into a deep sleep. Later, with last night's outing on his mind, he began to dream.
Gohan found himself pressed against the bed, and his back arched at the sudden surge of pleasure he felt between his legs. He looked down, his face flushing when he saw Dende between his legs with his hand wrapped around his hardened member.
Dende looked up at him, smirking. "I guess I was still on your mind."
"Dende—"
He cut him off with a firm squeeze to his member. "You're so handsome when your face is flushed." Dende told him quietly as he leaned in closer to Gohan. He placed his face in the crook of his neck. "I've been wanting to pleasure you for a long time now." He whispered against his skin. The hand on his member began to slowly stroke the length.
Gohan moaned as he felt his length twitch at the stroking. "Dende—"
"Even the sounds of your moans are like music." His hand moved faster against his length. "I would expect nothing less from you, Son Gohan." Dende said as he began to press butterfly kisses against his neck. "Are you finally happy? Now that you have me all to yourself again? Just as you wanted?" He asked between kisses.
Gohan couldn't reply, just nodded at his words. The pleasure was building inside of him, and the desire of being satisfied by Dende was too great. He needed this more than he thought.
Dende's hand stroked faster. "If only you admitted your attraction sooner, this wouldn't be a dream of yours, but a reality. I would be yours, and only yours, ready and willing to please you any time you desire it."
Gohan's head fell back in pleasure. His breathing was starting to labor, and his hands were grabbing at the bed covers, he just needed to last a bit longer. "Dende—"
Dende again cut off his moaning when he tightened his grip on his length, continuing to stroke his member even faster, into a rhythmic pace. "My beloved warrior, the protection you give me arouses me so. I only want to pleasure you in return for my protection." Gohan shifted under his hand and he smirked again. "I can feel how close you are. Care to give me the pleasure of watching your sweet release?" He asked before turning his attention back to the pulsating member.
Gohan couldn't control it anymore. Dende's sweet voice and wanted attention was enough to make his cock burst with seamen. Gohan groaned as his twitching cock spurted thick warm seed down Dende's now slow stroking hand.
Dende pulled away after his release. "It seems you've made a mess." He commented observing his soiled hand. Dende looked back at Gohan, and brought his hand up to his lips with Gohan watching him intently.
Gohan groaned quietly as he sat up. He didn't think his dream was real until he felt a wet sensation in his pants. He pulled back his covers, finding his pajama pants beginning to seep. With a sigh, Gohan climbed out of bed and went to his wardrobe. It was still early, seven o'clock according to the clock on the wall. He still had time before classes started, and he was in need of a cold shower.
…
Sahir sat up and yawned. He slept well but he could have used more sleep. He slipped on his glasses from under his pillow and looked over at his roommate, who was sitting at his desk quietly with a steaming cup beside him. "Good morning." He greeted.
Gohan looked back at his roommate. "Morning." He said quietly before turning back to his desk.
Sahir climbed out of his bed. "You sleep okay? I heard you get up pretty early."
"I slept fine, just had a weird dream."
Sahir hesitated. "Was it about Dende?"
Gohan looked back at him again, expecting an explanation.
"I heard you saying his name in your sleep."
Gohan sighed, picking up the steaming cup beside him. The cold shower didn't help with the hangover, so he hoped a cup of coffee would. "Yes, I had a dream about Dende. It woke me up out of my sleep."
Sahir hummed as he sat down at his own desk. "Must have been some dream. A nightmare?"
"Far from it."
"I see," he said with a nod. "Well from the way you were saying his name in your sleep, and how you got up right after to take a shower, I have to assume you either wet the bed, or you wet the bed." Sahir emphasized, looking at Gohan over his glasses.
"I'm sure you can guess which one." Gohan muttered as he took a sip of his coffee. Being drunk last night wasn't a good enough excuse for his actions, it just gave him an excuse. He wanted to at least tell Dende how he felt while he had the courage to do it, but learning about Videl's pregnancy in return was beyond unexpected. "As much as I tried to ignore and push away the feelings I had for Dende, my dream made me realize that I just can't do that anymore."
"Dende told me that you went to the bathroom to look for him…You told Dende how you felt in the bathroom?"
Gohan nodded. "And I don't think it came out the way I wanted. I remember telling him that I wanted him to myself, but it wasn't all I wanted to say. I just wanted to get my point across as quickly and as bluntly as possible."
Sahir sat back in his chair. "I'm glad you're finally admitting it, but I'm sorry it took you getting drunk to do it. I could tell that you liked Dende from the way you used to talk about him, but you kinda changed when you met Videl. Like she swept you off your feet."
Gohan hummed in thought. "In a way she did. Videl is amazing, but she didn't deserve what I did to her."
"You also didn't make it better by lying, Gohan. I know you were trying to fight your feelings about Dende, but you really hurt Videl in the process."
"I know, and I feel like an idiot for doing something so reckless." Gohan shook his head. "I probably can't salvage our relationship, but I don't want to lose Videl forever. She's pregnant, and I need them both in my life."
Sahir pushed up his glasses. "Well I can't say for sure how it will work out for you and Videl, but I think the least you can do is tell her how you feel about Dende. You at least owe her that."
Gohan nodded. "You're right. We were going on a date tomorrow, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen still." He wasn't even sure if Videl wanted to talk to him. He wouldn't blame her if she was still angry.
Sahir crossed his legs. "I would feel her out for you, but she's going to be on to me too fast."
"Can't you have Erasa update you?"
"No way. That girl is loyal to Videl. Erasa can't keep secrets, and she kept Videl's biggest one from me. " Sahir shook his head. "There's no way you're getting information out of her."
Gohan sat back in his chair, sipping his coffee. Erasa was definitely biased when it came to Videl. That was her roommate, and her best friend. It was likely that she knew or found out about the pregnancy with Videl. "Erasa may not be the one I need for information, but there's someone I think will help."
"Man, am I glad I didn't fifth wheel last night." Sharpner said, pouring tea into three cups.
"Well we had fun last night until it all kinda unraveled. I didn't think Gohan was that drunk."
"You all were pretty drunk last night. It was weird seeing you guys that drunk while I was sober, but in a way kinda fun."
Sharpner offered Videl and Erasa cups of tea. "Congratulations by the way Videl. Are you having a boy or a girl?"
Videl rolled her eyes. "I don't know Sharpner, I just found out I was six weeks last Friday."
"So you're seven weeks now."
Videl glared at him and he quickly continued his train of thought. "So, ah, what are you going to do about Gohan? I'm guessing you're gonna break up with him since he's like, in love with Dende or something?"
Videl sipped her tea. "I don't know yet. Dende told me that if he doesn't tell me the truth about what happened between the two of them, then I should break up with him. Which, I mean, is pretty sound and unbiased advice."
Erasa sipped at her tea as well. "So when are you going to talk to him? On your date?"
Videl's grip tightened on her teacup. "I'm not going on that damn date." She sneered. "I don't know when I should talk to him, because I don't want to talk to him. I'm angry enough to fight Gohan and I'm not in the condition to do that."
"Why not talk to Dende first then? Are you mad at him?" Sharpner offered.
She shook her head. "I'm not angry with Dende, but I was hoping to talk with Gohan before Dende. I don't want to keep using him to mediate my relationship with Gohan, I have to at least try and communicate with Gohan before going to Dende."
"But Dende doesn't have a reason to lie to you, and there's a chance that Gohan could lie to you again." Erasa replied. "It's like you said, Dende told you to break up with him if he didn't tell you the truth. If you talk to Dende first, you'll have the truth."
Videl hummed in response. Erasa was right, she wouldn't have to gamble for the truth if she talked to Dende first. Dende would give her the truth and clarity she needed to talk to Gohan. She could make a more logical decision rather than an emotional decision on their relationship.
"I'll look for Dende after class today."
After their class day ended Gohan and Sahir headed to Martial Arts Club. After today's session, they would go to Sharpner's dorm to speak with him. Before going into the room, Gohan looked through the slim window on the door.
"What are you doing?" Sahir asked.
"Checking to see if Videl's here."
"Why would she be? She's—"
"I know, but if she's not here then we shouldn't waste time. We should go find Sharpner."
Sahir folded his arms in protest. "You only wanted to see if Videl was here?"
Gohan turned back to his roommate. "I don't need you to be mad at me right now too."
"You've been taunting me all week about your new moves and now you want to skip? You don't want to stay at least for warm ups?"
"Of course I do, but fixing my relationship with Videl is more important right now. Can we rain check for today?"
Sahir sighed. "Fine, but I want you to teach me a technique you learned."
Gohan smiled. "Deal."
…
Sharpner opened the window in his room. He didn't have classes on Friday, which meant more than enough time to stay in and relax. He used to spend his Fridays with Mai, but since she was a paparazzi-exploiting outlaw, they didn't hang out anymore. Before Mai it was Videl and Erasa, eating lunch with Gohan after Videl was done with Martial Arts Club. But now, he had been alone with his pre-rolled joint. No one to share it with, nor talk to after it was extinguished. Sharpner sat down at his desk, picking up the joint. "I either need a girlfriend, or more friends." He mumbled to himself, tucking the paper between his lips.
Before he could grab his lighter, there was a knock at the door. Sharpner tossed the joint on his desk and stood to answer the door. He blinked at his unexpected guests. "Uh, hey guys. What brings you over?" He asked.
Gohan and Sahir smiled awkwardly at the other. "Hey Sharpner. Do you mind if we come in to talk?"
Sharpner nodded. "Sure, c'mon in." He beckoned, closing the door after them. Gohan and Sahir were definitely a startling answer to his problems, but they were the boyfriends of his best friends. Perhaps he should be thankful the universe has given him the opportunity to bond with them more. Besides, beggars couldn't be choosers. "Make yourselves comfy. I've got plenty of space."
Sahir looked around Sharpner's room. There was a futon under his lofted bed, and a television with a game console set across from it. A stereo sat on top of his dresser with various CD albums, and on his desk was a lava lamp. "You don't have a roommate Sharpner?" He asked, sitting on the futon.
Sharpner sat at his desk, shaking his head. "No, but it's out of preference." He said and picked up the joint and lighter. "I missed my wake and bake on account of Videl's…condition this morning, but I'm not missing my afternoon toke. You two don't mind, do you?"
"It's fine, Sharpner." Gohan said, sitting down next to Sahir on the futon.
With a nod Sharpner lit the joint, inhaling before exhaling slowly. "So, what did you guys want to talk about?" He asked, leaning over to turn on his electric kettle.
"You said Videl was here this morning, I'm sure she told you about last night." Gohan started.
"Oh yeah. I heard you had a hell of a night man. Something happened with you and Dende?" He asked before taking another inhale of his joint.
Gohan scratched his head in embarrassment. "I, ah…kinda, told him I liked him in a bar bathroom last night. It was sudden, I was drunk, and it made me realize how much I screwed up with Videl. So I'm trying to fix what I can with her before there's nothing left to fix."
Sharpner nodded as he ashed the joint. "Well that's pretty bad Gohan. Like, saying the wrong name at the wedding altar, bad. Still, it's not as bad as what Videl thought you did."
"What did she think happened?"
"She thought you kissed him." He said after exhaling again. "Like, make out session in the stall kinda deal. She seemed kinda dismissive about you liking Dende, and stumped at the fact that Dende knew she was pregnant."
Gohan looked at Sharpner strangely. "What do you mean dismissive? She doesn't care that I like Dende?"
Sharpner inhaled the joint sharply. "I wouldn't say that," He said before exhaling. "It's like, she more so cares about the actions, rather the situation behind the actions, if that makes sense."
Sahir shrugged. "Maybe she's not as mad as you thought, brother."
"Oh no, Vi's pissed. She would absolutely kill you if she didn't have a bun in the oven. I don't want you to make the mistake of trying to get on her good side so fast. I'd still give her some time."
Gohan sighed, sitting back on the futon. "So much for your date tomorrow."
"Yeah you had a better chance at hell freezing over before going on that date, man." Sharpner ashed his joint again. "But, maybe your future is still bright. Videl would rather have some clarity than to talk to you with a hot head. She said talking to Dende would help with that."
That made Gohan sit up again. "She's going to talk to Dende?"
Sharpner nodded. "Yeah, she was going to look for him after her classes. She's probably looking for him now."
Gohan's fingers pressed against his temple, shaking his head. "This is bad." He said quietly.
Sahir raised an eyebrow. "Bad how?"
"I'm not sure, but the last time she talked to Dende before talking to me, she started believing in a higher power again. I couldn't imagine the kind of clarity she'd have after talking to him today." He said and fell back on the futon in defeat. "Any chance I had of still being in a relationship with Videl is absolutely gone."
"So you thought you still had a chance if she was still stupid to your shortcomings?" Sahir scolded.
Sharpner shook his head as he extinguished the joint. "Good to know you're no different from the next man Gohan."
A/N We will see if Gohan will make it out to the other side of this catastrophe (spoilers, he won't) in the next chapter. In the meantime, thank you for reading! Reviews are always appreciated. Until the next chapter!
