The sword from a different angle by kewes
Emiya had another dream. This time he found himself in a spacious room, 8 by 8 meters. It was painted white.
Despite the spaciousness of the room, it was quite empty. A large closet was visible, also in white tones. A desk with a chair. On the western side of the room was a window slightly larger than usual. Outside the window, one could see early morning. The sun had just begun to rise.
And near the corner stood a large European bed with blue bed linen, and in the bed lay a young man with blond hair, no older than 13-14 years old.
Just when Shirou finished examining the room, the alarm clock that he saw on the table rang.
The young man tossed and turned in bed for a few seconds, but opened his eyes and began to look at the ceiling, and after a few seconds he got out of bed in his yellow pajamas and went to the table to turn off the alarm.
Having done this, he turned to the closet and opened it to take his things. But a box immediately fell on him, clearly heavy, judging by the sound of the fall.
The young man only gasped, then rubbed the place where the box fell, and then put it back in place so that it would not fall again.
After that, Shirou's vision blurred, and when he opened them again, he found himself near the doors leading to the street. When he turned around, he realized that he was in some kind of hall. The tiles in it were laid in black and white. At the end of the hall, there was a large white staircase with a red carpet. The stairs forked, leading to two different doors.
Next to him, Shirou also found standing statues that were made, at first glance, of an incomprehensible material. They all stood in the same pose, as if welcoming guests. And only one of them stood out from the general background. Not only was it in a different pose, but it was also holding a brown bag in its hands, which was filled with something. This humanoid statue was looking at one of the doors where the stairs led.
At that moment, the door opened and the same young man came out, dressed in his usual clothes. Despite his simple appearance, he moved like a true aristocrat as he approached the mercury statue, then said, "Hello, Brilom, is everything ready?" To Shirou's surprise, the statue immediately responded, "Of course, Master. Your mother also conveyed that your father will be returning tonight." The previously uninterested young man suddenly stopped at those words and thought about something for a few seconds before smiling, picking up his bag, and walking out the door, bidding farewell to the servant along the way.
Shiro was led back into the long hallway where the same boy ran in with the same bag, entering the classroom and apologizing for being late to the tall, dark-haired teacher with long hair. The teacher muttered something unintelligible before continuing the lesson.
The fair-haired teenager himself sat down next to another teenager with dark hair and brown eyes, who silently asked why he was late.
To which the first one immediately replied: "My transport was delayed today, that's why I'm late." After which the lesson continued.
After which Shirou woke up, not understanding why he had this dream.
He looked at the clock next to him and saw that there was still half an hour left until his usual wake-up time, and decided to get up already, because there was no point in continuing to sleep.
Saber was nowhere to be seen, so he simply went about his morning business.
(Somewhere else)
We see the young blonde again, who once again fell asleep in her chair, she closed her eyes several times and then opened them. She looked tired, despite the fact that she had just slept. "And again some strange dream, and it was "brother"?" No one answered the girl's question and she again felt a little tired, like yesterday. She decided that if she had another such dream, she would turn to her "brother", and for now she went to look for her friend, maybe some interesting news appeared while she was sleeping.
(Again in Emiya's house)
When Shirou finished his morning routine, he met Saber who suggested practicing because his circuits were now activated, and when they went to Shirou's "workshop" and he started practicing enhancement magic, this time it was not only easier and more frequent for him, but also better, this time it was a 9/10 and the quality of the enhancement had increased, when Shirou asked Saber why. He replied, "This time you only need to focus on enhancing, and the previous times you also had to create an artificial circuit that caused you pain and suffering, so the enhancement was less frequent. If you practice, you can make it a 10/10." When Saber explained this, he also suggested learning how to use enhancement on body parts, strengthening them.
Shirou was happy to learn anything that would help him save people. So he immediately asked him to teach him. In the next 20 minutes, Shirou managed to listen to a lecture from Saber, and also learn how to strengthen his arms and legs. When he finally managed to do it almost perfectly, Shirou realized that Taiga and Sakura would be arriving soon, so he ran to the kitchen to cook, because Taiga without food = angry Taiga, and he didn't need that.
As Shirou started cooking, he heard the doorbell and went to answer it. Sakura and Taiga arrived.
After that, breakfast was normal, but when Taiga turned on the TV, the news said that recently many people were hospitalized for an unknown reason, although no one died. When Sakura left early for the archery club at Ayako's request and Taiga went to school, Shirou had a question that he asked Saber before leaving for school: "Could this be the work of a Servant", although he did not understand why a Servant would do this. To which Saber replied: "Yes, it could be, you see Shirou, we are spirits, not living people, and Gaia (the Will of the Earth) rejects us by trying to erase our existence, so we need mana to materialize because we are just familiars and cannot produce mana ourselves, so a Servant might start feeding on humans to get more mana." When Saber finished explaining, Shirou was dissatisfied because some servant was putting innocent people's lives in danger, and he couldn't allow that. But right now, he had to go to school.
The rest of the day went by as usual. Shirou felt like someone was watching him all day, but he didn't know who it was each time.
When classes ended and Shirou was about to go home, he heard footsteps on the stairs.
Tohsaka Rin, the master archer, came down the stairs with a smirk that said nothing good would happen.
"Emiya Shirou, to think you came to school during the Holy Grail War," she said in a completely calm voice.
"Oh, hello, Tohsaka. Well, it's daytime now, and the servants can't fight. And thank you for helping us during Berserker's attack," Shirou said, recalling the night before last.
"Ah, so you remember Emiya. But don't think I did it because I wanted to help you. It's just that Berserker is a more dangerous opponent than Saber," the young heiress explained her actions.
"What? So you're saying that if Saber encounters someone weaker than him, you'll help the weaker one?" Shirou was surprised.
"That's right, Emiya. We should eliminate the strong servants first, because the weak ones can be dealt with at any time." "Archer," Tohsaka said, and then her servant materialized next to her.
At the same time, Saber materialized next to Shirou.
Sensing where this was going, Shirou began to speak, "Wait, Tohsaka, there are people here at the school."
Tohsaka just chuckled at that, "Emiya, look around. The lesson is over, the students have left. It's just us here. And no one will bother us."
Looking back at the hallway, Shirou realized that it was true when he turned to Tohsaka and she said, "Archer, you know what to do." The servant nodded, then blades materialized in his hands and he attacked Saber, knocking her out of the window and following her, leaving Shirou and Rin alone.
"Tohsaka, do we really need to fight?"
Seeing that, Shirou said.
"Emiya, we are at war, and this is a completely normal action. Our servants are fighting now, and you are all alone. I am confident in my victory. I think Gandr will be enough for you."
"Gandr? It's just a curse." Shirou said, remembering Kiritsugu's words.
"That's right. It couldn't be simpler. Shirou, prepare to die," the young heiress said.
But before she could use Gandr, Shirou tensed his legs and rushed towards Tohsaka, intending to incapacitate her.
However, she was trained in hand-to-hand combat, while Emiya was not. So she easily intercepted Shirou's blow, then kicked him in the knee and pushed Shirou, causing him to fall down the stairs. After that, while he was still standing, she tried to shoot Gandr at him.
But Shirou had already managed to get up and, seeing what a "simple curse" did, realized that he would not win without a weapon, and rushed to the far end of the corridor, tensing his legs.
When Shirou almost reached the stairs, he heard spells from Rin flying at him. He quickly jumped down the stairs. And then on the 2nd floor, he ran into the classroom, closing all the doors along the way so that she would not understand what classroom he was in, and giving him time to find an improvised weapon.
However, when the young heiress went down to the floor below, she realized that her opponent was hiding, she used detection spells, and then went to the classroom where Shirou was.
However, he realized that she had somehow found him. He managed to close the doors, but by this time he had not managed to find a weapon.
At that moment, he heard his opponent chanting some kind of spell.
Rushing to the window, he realized what that spell was. A closed barrier.
Realizing that an attack was coming, Shirou turned the nearest table away from the window and said "Trace On", the reinforcements worked.
And just in time, Gundras began firing from the circle on the wall, but Shirou, hiding behind the reinforced table, was able to survive the attack.
When the gunfire stopped, Shirou thought that Rin had run out of mana.
Taking the table leg and immediately reinforcing it, he rose to his feet, and at that moment, a white stone flew out of the glass through the top of the wall and began to glow.
Shirou, realizing what was happening, ran out of the classroom through the second door and confronted the attacker.
"So that's how you finally got Emiya out," Rin said as Shirou ran out of the classroom.
As he pointed the table leg at her, she said, "Drop that pathetic weapon. You have no chance of winning."
Shirou's answer came immediately, "You'll never know until you try."
To which she only sighed, and then said, "Really? Last warning! Throw away your weapon and use a Command Spell. At worst, there will be no nerve endings left in your hand. But that's better than death."
"There's no way I can give them up. You're asking me to betray Saber!" Shirou replied.
"That's it? I'll give you 3 seconds. Your life. So it's up to you." Then a goose appeared on her finger, pointing at Shirou, and she said, "Well, Emiya, what have you decided?"
A woman's scream rang out, and they realized that they weren't alone on the school grounds.
