Chapter 4: Barbie the chef?
As Verkrosia continues to cook she is unaware that a certain imp was watching from a window up above "Man oh man! Look at this place! *Grins big and happy* a real gourmet kitchen and I get to watch *Looks at the imaginary Assago* thanks Assago!" Said Moxxie "So child…lets see what you really know about the kitchen" he said appearing with a pop surprising Moxxie who recovered and smiled "Who is the head chef?" Asked Assago as Moxxie looked down and hummed and pointed at Deerie "That short orangette down there" he said "Impressive right on the first try, now the sous-chef?" Asked Assago as Moxxie did a quick look and pointed at Mayberry looking at the pastry makers to make sure they are doing it right "She is the Sous chef, she is in charge of the kitchen when the chef is not around" said Moxxie pointing at Angel Dust "That is saucier in charge of the sauces to make it better important *Looks at Husk and Tex* Chef De party and demi Chef de party…important *sees more cooks* cook here and there all important working together to make the food" said Moxxie "My my you are smart aren't you?" Siad Moxxie as the imp beamed as Vassago looked down and saw Barbie passing by people as they worked "Now about her down there?" He asked as Moxxie just rolled his eyes "Forget her she isnt a cook I mean she is not important" said Moxxie "Important or not she is part of the kitchen" said Assago "But she is the person who washes and takes the dishes and takes out the garbage and clean" said Moxxie as he watches Barbie wire mop the floor as she grins sheepishly at Verkorisa who is passing by as she continues to watch not paying attention as she accidently bumped into a pot of soup that was being prepped.
"There are people who can cook…and she…well she is not one" said Moxxie "Perhaps they could child dear" said Assago giving a mysterious smile as Moxxie watched a concern Barbie picking up the bowl that is now half filled with soup as she is nervous knowing that she could get in trouble should anyone notice "Well…I dont think so" said Moxxie sighing "Child have you forgotten or dont know what I said 'anyone can cook' said Assago pointing out his phrase as Moxxie moaned "Anyone can cook true but that dosent mean anyone should" he said as he even though he believes what Assago is saying some people have the knack for it and some dont. Poor Barbie is trying her best to fix the soup as she quickly poured some water into the soup as it risen a bit, once done she then puts it back onto the burner and then worried takes out some random ingredients and poured them in "Well I guess that isnt stopping her huh?" Said Assago chuckling as he sees what Barbie is doing as Moxxie turned and saw what she was doing as she made a gahh face "Wait! Wait! Wait what is she doing!?" He yelled horrified as she continued to add ingredients "Crubs oh crumbs she is messing the soup up! She is ruining things!" He said as things got worst when Barbie dumped random items as she accidently turned up the flames as she yelped it didnt seem things are going well "Ahh how come no one is stopping them?!" Screamed Moxxie in disbelief as he looked at Assago "Do something! This is your restraunt!" Yelled Moxxie "I could but I cant I only exist in your imagination" said Assago shrugging.
"This is bad! This is bad she is messing up the soup I got to do something I got to!" Started Moxxie but yelped as the window he was leaning on turned casing him to fall into the restraunt as he fell into a sink filled with pots and water as he swam up and coughed as he climbed up on a can in the sink as he held on tight as he yelped seeing Husk come over with some dishes unaware that the imp was there as he quickly jumps into the water and swam down as he surfaced to get some air luckily Husk didnt see him or came to the sink as he quickly got up and ran to the edge of the sink and fell as he panted a bit as he quickly ran under the sink table panting recovering as he then hurried to where Verkrosia was cooking yelping as the area Verkrosia was working in was lit in a huge flame as he yelped as he ran off across the floor avoiding to be seen yelping as nearly one of the chefs stepped on him but managed to dodge.
Moxxie looked around and saw a open window where the soup was as he smiled seeing a way out if he can get there as he tried to run but was nearly stepped on as he hid but yelped as a fire appeared underneath him as he ran out as he saw a cart tray as he ran underneath it, but it turned the other direction from where the window was. Worried he would be seen he ran under the dishes near the area that the soup was at.
Seeing a opening Moxxie ran and was close but with a yelp he fell through a loose lid of a pot as he moaned as the pot begins to move as he takes a peek and saw that Tex had grabbed the pot unaware of the imp inside it as he places the dishes on the stove and left. Once gone as he got out and seeing Barbie wasnt there took advantage and ran into a trap holding veggies and a roast in it…the imp couldn't resist as he took a carrot and sniffed enjoying the smell. It was short lived as he saw Angel dust coming as he ducked as the trap got shoved into a stove as quickly Moxxie hopped out before it was turned on and got into another tray cart and saw he was close to the window and was ready to jump…but the tray then the tray turned and entered the restraunt where the customers were enjoying there food or waiting for it as he moaned annoyed as the cart stopped where another waiter was talking to the customers as Moxxie yelped as Duddly reaches under the cart for the cups surprising him as Moxxie quickly hid in another cart going back into the kitchen as Dudly looks under the cart and was puzzled on what he grabbed.
Soon Moxxie was in the kitchen as he quickly hid a gain relived he was safe so far as he hid close to where the soup was as he saw to his dismay a chef named Tucker (Danny phantom) closed the window as the others were complaining about the cold trapping the poor imp in the kitchen as he exasparated sighed at being trapped as Barbbie came back to see how the soup was doing as she took a taste…needless to say with what she did was…bad as she gagged and covered her mouth as she quickly opened the window throwing up outside as she coughed a bit after she threw up and walked away to wash up as she was still sick as Moxxie saw a chance as he ran to the window passing the soup as he did so…but as he passed by he stopped sniffing the soup as he made a gagging noise as if he was about to throw up as he threw a few herbs into the soup as he started to run…but had second thoughts as he threw in some pepper as he then wagged a finger changing his mind seeing the soup needed something else as he got some garlic "Ok come on Mox I need to go" he said as he was about to leave but stopped as he looked at the soup…feeling he can do something to the soup…improve it…make it better.
"Child!" Said Assago appearing before Moxxie as he yelped "Gahh dont do that! Honestly you scared me!" Said Moxxie "Are you going to stand there? You have your opportunity" said Assago gesturing to the soup as Moxxie studied it "But are you sure? Can a imp like me do this?" Asked Moxxie "Moxxie….you know what must be fixed this is your chance" explained Assago as Moxxie took another look and nodded, Assago is right, if he wants to fix the soup and save the reputation of Assagos restraunt from being destroyed further he needs to fix the soup. "Alright time to show people I am more then just a imp" he said grinning as he goes over to the stove turner and uses his tail to lower the flames as he head to the sink and took some water as he washed his hands to get ready to cook "Ok now its time to cook" he said as he started pouring a bit of oil into the soup as he sniffed some cream as he nodded "Good perfect and fresh" he said carefully pouring the quart of the cream into the soup and got some white herbs and mild it in sniffing it as he smiled. Good good to him its getting better.
Using his sensitive senses he grabs some peppers, grass like herbs and threw them into the soup and more and more ingredients improving the soup as he stirs in the peppers with a spoon holding onto some herbs as he sniffed it, smelling great now just needs a finishing touch as he grounded up the herbs to a fine powder to pour it in. But paused as he felt he was being watched and turned it was Barbie wire who was stunned, watching a tiny imp cooking…as Moxxie blinks and puts in the last of the ingredients. "Wha what?" Stumbled Barbie in shock "The soup" everyone turned and saw a annoyed Deerie coming over "Where is the soup?!" She demanded as she pushes someone (Amazing for her small size) snapping "Out of my way!" She demanded and seeing Barbie distracted its time for moxxie to make a run for it but Barbie saw this and quickly grabbed a Coleder strainer and watched Moxxie underneath it "out of my way garbage girl!" Barked Deerie as she came closer, she is not in the mood for anyone to be in her way at the moment!
"Uh madam I should tell you…" started Barbie but Deerie didnt listen as she sees a sight that surprised and angered her: Barbie was holding a dipping spoon "What do you think you're doing?!" She barked grabbing Barbie (Again amazing for her small size) "Were you cooking?! You aren't supposed to be cooking!" She yelled narrating at Barbie as Moxxie watches from underneath the strainer knowing the poor girl was in big trouble as he saw the open window as he went back to try to get to it but Barbie sees the strainer moving as she stopped it before Moxxie could get to far as Deerie yelled at Barbie "What makes you think you can do something so stupid!? I will have you all drawn and quartered! Trust me I got the law on my side!" As she continued to yell as Angel Dust came with a empty bowl and dips a spoon into something as Barbie sputtered gasped it was the same soup that Moxxie was making! As Deerie looked at Mayberry "May get this idiot out of here!" Yelled Deerie "Wait! Stop!" Yelled at Angel dust in horror as Deerire just got more pissed "I will squeeze whatever you got out of your head for this!" She said as Barbie sputtered watching helplessly as Angel dust was about to give the soup to Dudly "Wait! Stop hold!" She sputtered in horror "What are you doing?! What are you yelling about?" Demanded Deerie wishing to say something rude but there are some colored chefs and didnt need a rumor law suit spreading
"The soup!" Yelled barbie pointing "What do you mean the soup?" Asked Deerie turning as she sees the soup that Duddly just picked up and was about to take out of the kitchen as she turns and realized it was the same soup from the same pot that Barbie wire was nearby! As he was horrified! As Angel dust was gonna serve soup made by amature! "No stop!" Screamed Deerie as she let Barbie go and shoved Tex as she chases after Duddly who is out the doors by now as she screamed loudly "NOOOOOOOO!" She yelled but it was too late as Dudly is now out of the kitchen…and so is Deerie as she noticed that the customers had stopped eating and waiting and looked at her funny. "Hehe, sorry my mistake, that sometimes happened" said Deerie embarrassed as she went back into the kitchen mumbling "So many customers" she said panicking as one of them was about to get the soup as she sees everyone in the kitchen giving her a look as she was panicked about the soup…so much that she got a step ladder and peeked through the door windows as to her horror a gentlemen and his wife were tasting the soup right now.
One was a pale skinned man with a unibrow and a mustache and dirty blonde hair styled in a Comb over with a cut in the back and a tuff poking out and a pair of sharp looking glasses with yellow lenses, the other was a beauty with light tanned skin, red eyes dressed in a blue ball gown and long pink hair as the male tasted the soup as he was surprised as he stopped Dudly "Waiter? Sir" he asked as his wife took taste as she and her husband talked to Dudly as that pissed Deerie off as she turned to Barbie "Barbie wire!" She said pissed as Barbie backed up nervous at the short women "Just for this…you are terminated! YOU HEAR ME?! FIRED! FIERED!" Screamed Deerie scaring the poor women as suddenly Cuddly peeked in "Hay, he wants to see the chef" said Duddly as Deerie calmed down "Well…uh" she groans, he knew the husband and his wife didnt like the soup and now she is gonna be held responsible as she took a breath to look like she isnt gonna panic as she followed Duddly out the doors to speak to the couple.
Barbie decides this is her chance to run before Deerie gets back…well she tried to but Mayday grabs her arm to keep her from leaving…this is it she is done for! Verkrosia decided to taste the soup for herself as she took a spoon and took a taste as her eyes widened in surprise. The soup dosent taste bad at all! Just then Deerie and Duddly came back in, however instead of angery looks however Deerie got a dumbstruck look on her face as Duddly had a look of pure amazement "Did the customer say anything…positive?" Asked Husk "Customer my foot" Laughed duly in amusement, that was a Critic!" Said Duddly "Sera?" Asked Verkrosia that women hasn't been back in the restraunt since she gave it that horrible review.
"No its Rolondo Walters" said Deerie in pure dumbstruck shock "Rolondo Walters?!" Said Verkrosia in shock, Rolondo is one of the best food critics in all of America! If anyone wants to stay in buisness they have to make sure he is satisfied "What does he say? Does he like the soup?" Asked Verkrosia "Like it? Heck he and his wife Jewel Goitia-Walters love it!" Said Duddly happily. He and his wife must had came to Paris for a visit group and decided to come to restraunt to see if it had changed or was still the same.
Moxxie tried again to make a run for it in his prison but Assago appeared and interrupted him "Wait child" said Assago grinning bit "Why?! It was thanks to you I got into this mess!" Snapped Moxxie angery this was the last time he trusted someone who got killed due to a bad review "On the contrary someone is talking positive about your soup" said Assago leaning Moxxie to look through the hole as Deereie grabs the spoon from Verkrosia and tastes the soup herself, to her amazement the soup is the most delicious thing she has ever tasted! However she just looked angery as she turned to Barbie wire "Ok now what are you trying to pull here?!" She demand confusing her "Pulled what?" Asked Barbie "First you gave me the expression that this soup was very terrible but now it turns out its the best thing ever!" She said annoyed but Barbie was confused "Does this mean I am fired?" She asked puzzled as she didnt get what was going on. "Fired? Said Verkrosia alarmed "hold on you cant fire her" said Vortex "And why shouldn't I? This is my restraunt after all!" Said Deerie "Actually madam its Assago and he got a point" added Husk "Look Rolondo likes the soup along with his wife enough to tell you so himself right? So what will happen if he writes the review about it and finds out you fired the cook who made it possible?" Said Verkrosia nodding. "Why should I care? She is a garbage girl" said Desire not caring at all.
"Remember what we are supposed to represent here, how can we represent the name of Assago if we dont applaud his most cherished belief?" said Verkrosia as Deerie gave a look "And what Belief is that?" Asked Deerie frowning "Anyone can cook!" Said Verkrosia as Moxxie looked surprised as the other kitchen staff who was looking at Barbie wire, amazing how a garbage girl became a good chef in a few moments or so as Deerie had a annoyed face as she had to agree to this, plus if word got out that she fired the one who made the soup the restraunt maybe forced to close down and he got future plans for this restraunt as she darkly chuckled "You know what? Maybe I was…too hard on them, you know" she said cruely chuckling looking at barbie as the others were confused as Deerie pinches Barbie.
"She did something crazy and we should reward them like Assago would" she said as Moxxie was amazed…but worried as he knew that the girl didnt make the soup "If she wants to swim in dangerous waters who are we to keep her from doing so eh?" She said as Moxie continues to watch Assago decides that its now time for him to get moving as he cleared his throat "Uh Moxxie? You were about to leave?" He asked 'Oh crumbs right" he said as he worked to escape. "Say Verkrosia since you were so interested in what she is doing *Pushes her to Barbie* you will be responsible for her" said Deerie as Barbie yelps as she landed on Verkrosia as she looked at her and chuckled nervously. "Anyone else?" She said in a sickly tone as she looked at the others as they saw they are scaring as she frowned "Then get back to work" she barked as everyone got back to work as Barbie tried to walk off but was grabbed by Deerie glaring "Consider yourself very lucky! If haven't defended you, you would have been gone! But to make sure this is no mistake, you will make the soup again and I will pay attention close that is all one you!" She said as Moxxie carefully managed to get out of the strainer with Deerie unaware of her as he started to sneak off "You may have everybody believing you are a cook but I have another opinion of you" she said just as Moxie was almost there to the window.
"I think you are nothing more then a sneaky, over-achieving little *Sees Moxxie as she gasped and screamed* IMP!" She yelled as Moxxie screamed in surprise as he slipped and caused some of the dishes to fall as Deerie grabs a broom and swung at Moxxie as he dodged as the kitchen staff sees what is going on near the pot as they yelled Imp and for him to be killed as Deerie yells at them to do something as she whipped with the broom until Barbie managed to put Moxxie in a bottle "So what are we gonna do with it?" Asked Barbie glancing at the imp seeing the little guy in cute clothing as the poor fella was scared worried "What else? Kill it!" Said Deerie "Kill him here?" Asked Barbie puzzled "No not here! Are you stupid girl!? Do you know what would happen if anyone knew we got a Imp running about in our kitchen" said Deerie furious since tiny demons are considered pests "They will close use down! *cue the others putting down there instruments* its bad enough our reputation is falling after what happened to Assago, the last thing we want as the final nail in the coffin is this! *Looks at Barbie* take that thing away from here far away! I dont know how just kill it!" Yelled Deerie as Barbigh sighed as she left as she looked at Deerie as the poor girl was holding moxxie.
"Well? Get going!" Yelled Deerie making Barbie yelp as she ran out of the kitchen making sure she didnt drop the imp "And dont you dare come back until its done!" Yelled Deerie as once outside she got her bike and left the restraunt.
Not knowing that Moxxie maybe the big help she needs now…

Next chapter Moxxie reveals he can cook and talk to Barbie and they come to a agreement to figure out a way to work together to help Barbie cook delicate dishes.
