In the town hall of Crystal Cave, there were many monsters patrolling the place. Not far from there, in a place where they could not be seen, were the Grimwood girls along with the gang and the resistance watching the place. They looked through binoculars.
-There are many monsters.- Amelia said.
-Are you sure it's here?.- Fred Jones asked.
-It's here, I'm sure. This is the hideout of the Master of the Monsters.- Sheriff Bronson Stone answered.
-This area is the one that is most inhabited by monsters. To think that he is sitting there in my chair, as if he were the mayor. I am the only mayor of Crystal Cave!.- Janet Nettles said.
-I know honey. We all know.- Sheriff Bronson said.
-What time do the master and Velma arrive?.- Sibella asked.

-Distract those monsters? Good luck finding someone dumb enough to do that.- Captain Shelton said.
-Yeah, can you imagine someone willing to distract those monsters, Scooby?- Shaggy Rogers asked.
-Only a suicidal lunatic would do that.- Scooby Doo answered.
Everyone looked at Scooby and Shaggy. You know they always act as bait.
-So, we always do this kind of thing.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-That's what we do.- Scooby Doo said.
-Someone has to distract those monsters so we can get in and no one runs as fast as you two.- Daphne Blake said.
-Couldn't someone else do it this time?.- Shaggy Rogers asked.
-Who else could do it? Daphne and I? Can you imagine Daphne and I as bait?.- Fred Jones asked.
-It wouldn't hurt them to risk their lives even once.- Scooby Doo answered.
Scooby and Shaggy were the ones who were always chased by the monsters.
-They won't do it. They're cowards.- Winnie said.
-Yes. They're scared of scary things.- Tanis said.
-We'd better go.- Elsa said.
-No girls, we need you to infiltrate inside.- Fred Jones said.
-I wouldn't mind if they distracted them.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-Of course, since they don't care.- Ghost said.
Shaggy and Scooby noticed that the girls were still mad at them. Amelia noticed something was up.
-Would you do it for some Scooby cookies?.- Daphne Blake asked.
Daphne pulled out a box of Scooby cookies, Shaggy and Scooby stuck their tongues out like dogs. Daphne tossed them a Scooby cookie each and they ate it.
-Count on us.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-For the sake of the mission we will do it.- Scooby Doo said.
Shaggy and Scooby went to distract those monsters.
-Do you always bribe them with Scooby cookies to do what you want?.- Amelia asked.
-It never fails.- Fred Jones answered.
-Of course. They would never go with a bunch of monsters willingly.- Sibella said.
-Something like this would have to happen for them to do it.- Winnie said.
Amelia, Fred, and Daphne noticed something was going on between the girls and Shaggy and Scooby.
-Is something wrong? They seem to be a little resentful towards Shaggy and Scooby?.- Amelia asked.
-Oh, nothing. We just found out that Shaggy and Scooby are afraid of us, and they didn't want to see us again.- Tanis answered.
-What!? Shaggy and Scooby adore them.- Daphne Blake said.
-They can be a little scared sometimes but I'm sure they care about them.- Fred Jones said.
-Then answer me. If this hadn't happened, would they have come back to Grimwood to see us?.- Elsa asked.
Fred and Daphne didn't know what to say, although they had grown fond of the girls, they always tried to avoid places with monsters.
-Yes, I thought so.- Elsa said.
-Don't worry, when we save their town they won't see us again.- Ghost said.
-Wait girls! I'm sure...- Fred couldn't finish his sentence.
-I hate to interrupt you but I think for now it would be better to concentrate on the plan.- Sheriff Bronson Stone said.
The sheriff was right, there will be time to clear things up. They continued to watch how the plan was going.
Near where the monsters were, Shaggy and Scooby were hiding behind a mailbox.
-Alright Scooby, let's do it as we planned.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-Okay, Shaggy.- Scooby Doo said.
The monsters continued to patrol the city hall.
-Strike! Strike!.- Shaggy Rogers and Scooby Doo said.
The monsters looked at the ones who had said that. They were Shaggy and Scooby who were dressed as monsters, Shaggy was dressed as a mummy and Scooby as a werewolf, they had signs that said "Pagans as you should" and "No more exploitation for monsters" (I have no idea where they always get that stuff). They pretended they were monsters on strike to get their attention.
-Fellow workers. The Master of the monsters makes us do all the work, while he lazes around in his mansion. Are we going to let him keep doing that to us?.- Shaggy Rogers asked.
-Of course not!.- Scooby Doo answered.
The monsters approached them to see them up close. While they were getting the monsters' attention, the Grimwood girls, Fred and Daphne sneaked off to the town hall.
-I can't believe that worked.- Winnie said.
-How do they do it?.- Ghost asked.
-Believe me, I've been wondering the same thing for years and the best thing is to take advantage of the miracles they do.- Daphne Blake answered.
They managed to get into the town hall, while the monsters were distracted.
-We work like slaves to be able to bring food to our families, and how do they pay us?.- Shaggy Rogers asked.

The monsters were distracted, while the others infiltrated.
Inside the town hall, the Grimwood girls, Daphne and Fred moved carefully so as not to be detected.
-Well, it seems the coast is clear. Let's move on.- Fred Jones said.
The group continued to move cautiously.
-Don't you think it's strange? We haven't encountered any monsters since we entered.- Amelia said.
-Amelia is right. Fred, don't you think this is strange?.- Daphne Blake asked.
-Maybe he put everyone on guard outside.- Fred Jones answered.
-Without leaving any guards inside to keep watch? This is very strange.- Sibella said.
-What if it's a trap?.- Elsa asked.

The Grimwood girls looked at Daphne.

Daphne and the rest of the girls continued following Fred, until they reached the door where the mayor's office is.
-Alright girls, this should be it. If I were the Master of the monsters, this is where I would be.- Fred Jones said.
-What are we going to do when we enter?.- Daphne Blake asked.
-Isn't it obvious? We have to kick his ass!.- Winnie replied.
-That quick and easy.- Tanis said.
-No, no, no girls. For this, what we need to do first is a trap.- Fred Jones said.

They thought the place was empty until they heard a voice.
-I was waiting for you.- The voice said.
The group looked around to see who had said that, the mayor's desk chair turned around and there sat the Master of Monsters. They didn't see him because he was sitting sideways.
-You are the master of monsters?.- Sibella asked.
-Indeed, that's me. And who do I have the pleasure of speaking to?.- The Master of Monsters asked.
-We are the Grimwood Ghoul Squad and we have come to stop you.- Winnie answered.
-"The Grimwood Ghoul Squad"?. Yes, I had heard of you before. You are that group of monster heroines who help people. Personally, I prefer monsters who spread terror in people's hearts.- The Master of Monsters said.
-Give up, we have him trapped.- Fred Jones said.
-Yes, he has nowhere to run.- Daphne Blake said.
-I know them. The hippie boy and the talking dog couldn't come?.- The Monster Master asked.
-You mean Shaggy and Scooby?.- Fred Jones asked.
-Now that I remember, a monster told us that the Monster Master wanted revenge on Shaggy and Scooby.- Tanis said.
-That's right. My revenge on those two will be terrible.- The Monster Master said.
-You did all this just to get revenge on Shaggy and Scooby?.- Fred Jones asked.

-I'm a villain, I don't answer to heroines.- Said the Monster Master.
-We already beat you anyway.- Said Amelia.
-Yes, you lose.- Said Sibella.
The Monster Master laughed.
-What's the joke?.- Asked Winnie.
-You beat me? I just beat you.
The Monster Master pressed a button on his prosthesis that he had on his left arm.
Outside the city hall, the resistance was still waiting.
-You took too long.- Said Sheriff Bronson Stone.
Suddenly, from the sky the Monster Master's blimp could be seen, ghosts descended from it, they went straight to the resistance.
-Ambush!.- Shouted Sheriff Bronson Stone.
The resistance began to flee, while the ghosts chased them. The monsters that were watching the town hall saw what was happening.
-What's all the fuss about?.- A werewolf asked.
Shaggy and Scooby saw that the resistance was being attacked.
-This is bad, Scooby.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-Very bad, Shaggy.- Scooby Doo said.
Shaggy and Scooby had to tell the girls about what was happening.
-Well, our shift is over. It's time to go.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-Bye.- Scooby Doo said.
As they left, Scooby accidentally stepped on a bandage that was hanging from Shaggy, revealing his identity.
-Hey! You're not monsters.- A vampire said.
Shaggy and Scooby had been discovered, they only had one thing left to do.
-Run Scooby!.- Shaggy Rogers shouted.
Shaggy and Scooby ran away while the monsters chased them.
Inside the town hall, the Grimwood girls, Daphne and Fred heard something happening outside.
-What's going on?.- Daphne Blake asked.
-Did you think I didn't know what you were up to? Right now, my ghosts are taking care of your pathetic resistance.- Said the Master of the Monsters.
-You won't get away with this!.- Winnie said.
-I think you will.- Said the Master of the Monsters.
The Master of the Monsters presses a button on his desk to call his minions. Agent 1, Agent 2 and Franace enter the office.
-Take care of them.- The Master of the Monsters ordered.
-Fred, Daphne, back off.- Sibella said.
Fred and Daphne moved aside so the girls could take care of them.
-TRANSFORMATION!.- The girls shouted.
A light of energy surrounded their bodies turning them into their heroine forms. The girls began to fight with the minions of the Master of the Monsters.
Outside everything was chaos, the monsters chased and captured those of the resistance. They had already captured many, Shaggy and Scooby continued running for their lives. They hid behind the statue to lose the monsters, while they saw everything that was happening.
-What a disaster, right Scooby?.- Shaggy Rogers asked.
-What are we going to do now?.- Scooby Doo asked.
At that moment the Grimwood girls are thrown out of the town hall by the minions of the Master of the Monsters.
-That copy of my father is very strong.- Elsa said.
Shaggy and Scooby saw that the girls were in trouble.
-It's the girls.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-It seems that they are in trouble.- Scooby Doo said.
Shaggy and Scooby went with the girls. They remained in a guard position in front of the Monster Master's henchmen, while they saw Shaggy and Scooby approaching them.
-Are you okay?.- Scooby Doo asked.
-We are fine. We do not need your help.- Winnie answered.
-Can we help with something?.- Shaggy Rogers asked.
-You can help by staying away from us and not getting in the way.- Elsa answered.
-Those guys are too much for you.- Amelia said.
The girls did not want the help of the two of them, they resumed their fight with the Monster Master's henchmen. Shaggy and Scooby watched them fight.
-Looks like the girls don't like us anymore, Scooby.- Shaggy Rogers said.

Shaggy and Scooby could see that all the love the girls had for them had disappeared. They could see Fred and Daphne leaving the town hall. The two went to side with Scooby and Shaggy.
-Shaggy, Scooby. Did you know that the Master of the Monsters has a vendetta against you?.- Fred Jones asked.
-I know, a monster didn't tell us.- Shaggy Rogers answered.
-Do you have any idea what he has against you?.- Daphne Blake asked.

-We have no idea.- Scooby Doo said.
The Grimwood girls were thrown in front of them by Franace. The resistance had been captured and the gang and the Grimwood girls were surrounded by monsters. At that moment the Monster Master of the mayor's office comes out.
-Hah, hippie boy and talking dog. It's been a long time.- said the Monster Master.
Shaggy and Scooby didn't know who the guy was talking to them.
-Who are you?.- asked Shaggy Rogers.
-Do we know you?.- asked Scooby Doo.
-It's normal that they don't recognize me in this outfit. Now I call myself the Monster Master.- said the Monster Master.
The Grimwood girls stand up.
-Your fight is with us Monster Master!.- said Elsa.
Elsa clashed her gauntlets together generating an electric sound. That scared the Monster Master.
-Oops, Mom!.- said the Monster Master.
The Grimwood girls and the gang were surprised to see his reaction.
-Huh? Are you afraid of lightning?.- Elsa asked.
-What, are you a boy?.- Tanis asked.
Shaggy and Scooby had a feeling that they already knew someone who is afraid of lightning. The Monster Master cleared his throat.
-Bring them to me.- The Monster Master ordered.
The monsters began to approach them, the Grimwood girls stood on guard to protect them. Shaggy and Scooby knew that they could not do much in that situation. Against their nature they did something incredibly brave, the two of them stepped forward.
-Stop! It's Scooby and I that you want, take them and let them go. They are our precious friends.- Shaggy Rogers said.
-Do whatever you want but do not touch our friends.- Scooby Doo said.
The Grimwood girls were surprised to see Shaggy and Scooby, even more surprised were Fred and Daphne who had never seen them do something so brave.
-Very brave of you. However, that can't happen. I want to destroy everything you love, that includes your friends.- Said the Master of the monsters.
The monsters approached them again, it seemed like they had no way out. Suddenly in the distance, The Mystery Machine was seen heading towards them.
-Look! It's The Mystery Machine.- Said Daphne Blake.
-Huh? Who's driving my truck!?.- Asked Fred Jones.
The Mystery Machine was being driven by Marcus.
-Master Marcus?.- Asked Ghost.
-What are you doing driving my truck?.- Asked Fred Jones.
The monsters moved aside when they saw the truck approaching them. Marcus stops next to the gang and their students, the back door of the van opens and Velma gets out.
-Get in!.- Velma said.
The gang and the Grimwood girls got into the van. Marcus accelerated to the max.
-Stop them! They're escaping!.- The Master of the monsters said.
The monsters started chasing them.
-How do I lose them!?.- Marcus asked.
-Go through that tunnel!.- Velma Dinkley answered.
Marcus drove into a tunnel, the monsters were following them from behind.
-Now what do I do?.- Marcus asked.
-Press that button there.- Velma Dinkley answered.
Marcus pressed the button that Velma indicated to him. The back of the van fired several nets, trapping the monsters. The group manages to escape from the monsters.
-Nets?.- Marcus asked.
-They never fail.- Fred Jones said.
The group reached the other side of the tunnel, out of reach of the monsters.
-Well, what did I miss?.- Marcus asked.
-They defeated us.- Sibella answered.
-The resistance was captured.- Shaggy Rogers said.
The Grimwood girls felt frustrated for not being able to save the people.
-They were counting on us and we failed them.- Winnie said.
-Don't be so hard on yourself. In our absence we discovered something about those monsters.- Velma Dinkley said.
-What did they discover?.- Daphne Blake asked.
-When analyzing the hair sample from that vampire I discovered mutated DNA.- Velma Dinkley answered.
-Does anyone know what he's talking about?.- Marcus asked.
The group remained silent.
-If you don't know, we don't know either.- Tanis answered.
-What I'm trying to say is that they're not monsters. Their appearances are due to a mutation in their DNA. They're actually humans.- Velma Dinkley said.
-Humans?.- Elsa asked.
-How is that possible?.- Fred Jones asked.
-My theory is that the Monster Master turned them using some kind of chemical. I knew it, it all makes sense now. How did I not think of it before? All those supposed monsters are products of a mutation. There's always a scientific explanation.- Velma said.
-So science turned him into that?.- Shaggy Rogers asked.
-That's right. It's the same with you.- Velma said.
-We're not mutations! We already told you, we're real monsters! We were born like that.- Phantom said.
-Were you born like that? Poor things, I'm sure that one day science will find the cure.- Velma Dinkley said.
The Grimwood girls were already getting tired of explaining it to Velma.
-Let's forget about that. What are we going to do now?.- Amelia asked.
-Now I'll design a cure to return them to normal.- Velma Dinkley answered.
-Can you do that, Velma?.- Fred Jones asked.

The gang knew what it would mean to go to that place, they knew who they were going to meet.
-Good. I don't know where that place is so I'm going to need to change the wheel with some of you.- Marcus said.
-I'll do it.- Fred Jones said.
Marcus stopped the truck, got out and exchanged places with Fred. Then they headed towards Reationex Industries.
