"Now then the next step of your training is conquering what you fear." Knuckles said
He and Eri had been training for about two days now
Right now they were in the attic
"Focus your mind." Knuckles said as Eri shut her eyes
"Hey knuckles-Woah is that her?" Sonic asked
"Yes, this is my pupil, Eri." Knuckles said, "Now quiet hedgehog she is focusing."
Just then a massive ring opened under Eri causing her to fall through it
Sonic and Knuckles quickly jumped after her
when they got to their new location they saw a bunch of people fighting
"Where is Eri?!" A green haired boy asked
"I DON'T KNOW YOU LITTLE SHIT!" A bird-masked man said as he grabbed him by the throat
Eri opened her eyes and saw the fight going on
(This must been my training) Eri thought to herself (I have to save mr. Deku from Chisaki)
She lifted up a boulder and threw it overhaul
The boulder hit Overhaul causing him to be embedded in the wall
"Who fucking dares?!" Overhaul yelled before noticing eri
"I'm Not afraid!" Eri said thinking it wasn't real
"That voice!" Midoriya said
"Look at you Eri more cursed than before." Overhaul said, "I'll fix that!"
He then lunged at Eri
Eri shut her eyes and took a deep breath
When she opened them she was back in the white void
"Have you made your choice?" The echidna woman asked
"I want this new power I don't want my quirk to hurt any more people." Eri said
The echidna woman smiled
"Truthfully there was no right or wrong answer you just needed to have the right reason." The echidna woman said "The full potential of your abilities have been unlocked train with the last echidna and his allies to further them. Good luck Eri."
"Wait!" Eri said, "What's your name?"
"My name is Tikal I have long since passed but my friend should still be around." Tikal said
"Who's your friend?" Eri asked
"His name is Chaos." Tikal said "You'll meet him soon enough. Farewell."
And then Eri snapped back to reality
She stomped on the ground and sent a pillar at overhaul sending him flying
"It's time to conquer my fears." Eri said as the nearby rocks began to hover
She felt her horn disappear
After recovering from the previous attack overhaul noticed that Eri didn't have her horn
"What did you do little brat!?" Overhaul asked
"I don't have my quirk anymore just all hedgehog!" Eri taunted again not realizing this wasn't a dream
"THEN YOU OUTLIVED YOUR USEFULNESS!" Overhaul yelled causing pillars to be launched at Eri
Eri simply redirected them back to overhaul
Midoriya and Mirio were about to step in but they were stopped by Sonic and Knuckles
"Stand down. This is my pupil's fight." Knuckles said
"Are you insane?! One touch and she's dead!" Mirio said about to use his quirk to phase through knuckles
"Yeah, but they looked like they have some history so I think she knows what to avoid." Sonic said, "Plus I'm the fastest creature in the universe if she's in danger I'll just grab her in an instant."
"You don't get to decide that." Sir Nighteye said as he approached
"You're right. She does." Sonic said pointing at Eri
Eri jumped from wall to wall using her powers of the earth to launch herself
"Stand still!" Overhaul yelled
"Hey, Eri!" Sonic said "Curl into a ball!"
Eri curled into a ball before slamming into Overhaul knocking him to the ground
eri then pulled a bunch of rubble to her and made a massive ball
"Max Meteor!" Eri said throwing the ball at Overhaul flatting him into a fine red paste
"I think he's down for the count!" Sonic said, "Let's go!"
"Hold it!" Sir nighteye said as he grabbed Sonic's arm "We need to take you in for questioning."
And then he realized he couldn't see Sonic's future
Sonic pulled away from him
"Sorry, we really got to get going!" Sonic said
"Come on my pupil! We are leaving this battleground!" Knuckles said
Midoriya tried to kick knuckles only for the hit to be caught
"If we meet again Fight me with a power that is your own." Knuckles said before launching Midoriya into a wall
Another Ring opened up
"Gotta go!" Sonic grabbed Eri as he and knuckles ran through
The ring closed shortly after
"What the fuck just happened?" Sir nighteye asked
(How did he-) midoriya began to question
When they returned to the attic Eri had a smile on her face
"I passed!" Eri said, "When do I wake up?"
"Uhhh you've been awake this whole time." Sonic said
Eri blinked in confusion
"Yes, my pupil that was all real. Not a vision." Knuckles said
"Oh...I just murdered someone." Eri said
"Oh right... how about we just watch all of the toph fights for training instead." Sonic said
"Okay..." Eri said
"Such an incredible warrior." Knuckles said, "Despite her condition."
"I wonder if you can use seismic sense." Sonic said to Eri
Eri just looked amazed at the blind girl's abilities
Then there was a knock at the door
"I'll get it!" Sonic said
Somic opened the door and Omega was there
"Are you omega?" Sonic asked
"I AM." Omega said
"You here to pick up Eri?" Sonic asked
"AFFIRMATIVE." Omega said
"Alright then!" Sonic said "Eri Omega's here!"
eri ran out and jumped on Omega
"YOU ARE SMILING." Omega said
"I'm not sure why... I killed someone." Eri said
"WHO?" Omega asked
"Someone who hurt me constantly." Eri said
"WE MUST GO CELEBRATE!" Omega said
"Bye!" Eri said as they left
"What a nice kid." Sonic said, "Now I Wonder when Tom and Maddie are going to be back with that camping stuff."
Back at the Mean Bean Stone and Shadow were talking while closing up shop
"Any updates on G.U.N?" Shadow asked
"Yeah, the metal sonics should be done by tomorrow evening." Stone said
"Good." Shadow said, "What's the plan?"
"You and Eri will defend the mean bean. with the training Eri's been getting from that red idiot she should be capable." Stone said, "I'll send Omega and Mecha Sonic out to defend the others while having Mecha take out the source."
"Good plan." Shadow said popping some coffee beans in his mouth
Just then Omega and Eri walked
"ERI HAS MURDERED HER ABUSER!" Omega cheered
"I told you that in shame!" Eri said
This caused a chain reaction of:
Mecha Sonic dropping the cup he was cleaning causing it to shatter on the ground
Shadow choking on his beans
and stone fainting
Yup, what a good day!
"Commander, what should we do with the doctor?" A G.U.N agent asked
"Move him to the building facility." Commander Rockwell said
Man I love giving Eri justice
