The two doctors were shuffling through a stack of folders when Coulson and Barnes walked into the cafeteria. The camp director had simply moved to a different table to give them room and was studying a couple of papers but looked up when they walked into the room and gestured for them to join him there.

"You're the SHIELD guys?"

"I'm the SHIELD guy," Coulson said. "Barnes isn't SHIELD. And we'd prefer that no one knows who I work for."

The younger of the doctors looked over at them, but then turned his attention back to the paper he was putting into a folder.

Nor nodded.

"Sorry about that." He looked at Barnes. "You're going to be counseling Peter?"

"Correct."

"Did they tell you we need you to be a real counselor? Someone who will work the other boys in the cabin to ensure their safety as well – and to make sure they have a good time, too…"

Barnes nodded.

"Yeah. I'm ready."

Kind of.

"We have ten cabins. All of them are named after the states. Five for the boys and five for the girls. Peter will be in Alaska. It's the first one on the right when you go up the hill. You'll be with Ross Kindle. He's a returning counselor and experienced with this age group, so feel free to ask him any questions you might have. The others will be arriving in the next hour or so, so you should get settled in and if you haven't already had a chance to look around, feel free to do so. We'll have dinner together at six and discuss the schedule and any concerns anyone may have before turning you loose to get to know the other staff. It's important that we're all familiar with each other so we can concentrate on the kids when they get here."

He looked at Phil.

"You're maintenance so you'll be staying in the staff lodging. It's the building across from the parking lot. Feel free to take any vacant room. The key for the lock will be in the desk drawer."

"Who stays in those rooms?" Coulson asked, curiously.

Obviously wanting to know who would be around him.

"The lifeguards, the cook helpers and groundskeepers. Basically anyone who isn't a counselor. The horse wranglers have a cabin up by the barn and corral to make it more convenient and the doctor has a small cabin that has a little lobby to use as his infirmary if someone needs to be watched."

Coulson looked over at the other table.

"And the nurse…?"

"Will be staying in the staff lodgings, also – unless we need him at the cabin to keep an eye on someone overnight."

Phil nodded.

"Thank you."

He turned and left with Barnes behind him, ready to look around the place, further.

Strange waited until the door closed behind them and then frowned.

"Why would a summer camp have a SHIELD agent?"

Before the camp director could reply, Dr. Brown gestured to the folders on the table.

"You'll understand when you've read these."

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

"The doctor broke his leg and the con is going to be handling emergencies at the camp."

Tony frowned at Romanoff's image.

"You're alright with that?"

She nodded.

"No reason not to be. The guy isn't throwing up any red flags with his background. He had a bit of a blank spot after the accident that ruined his hands, but no indication that he's working for anyone we wouldn't approve of – and he really is a doctor, so if something happens, he'll be handy."

Stark didn't look too sure about that, but he trusted Natasha. Not only to make sure things were as they should be, but also to be just as interested in Peter's safety as he and Pepper were.

"Are you guys there?" he asked, looking at his watch.

"We are. Katie came up this morning and the others are trickling in to keep from letting the other staff know who is – and isn't – SHIELD. They'll all know about Barnes and Coulson, but the rest should blend in fairly well and we're not going to bandy it about."

"JARVIS is monitoring the camp network," Tony said. "I'll have him allow you access to the feed and all cell and network data, but he'll determine what gets wiped if anything goes on any social media that shouldn't."

"Sounds good. The staff is having a meeting and some ice breakers tonight…" she rolled her eyes, glad that she didn't have to do any of that. "That's where they're going to find out about Peter coming, and that's when we'll start really paying attention to what's coming in and out."

"And who," Steve added.

"A lot of work to let one little kid go to summer camp," Tony heard Barton say from somewhere behind Rogers.

"He's worth it," she said before Tony could. She smiled, then, in anticipation. "Is he getting excited?"

The billionaire smirked.

"What do you think?"

"I think I'd like to be there to see him like that."

Peter was excited about everything, really, but this was a big one, and they were all looking forward to seeing him have a good time.

"Me, too."

Tony and Pepper weren't going to hover in the area of the camp – as much as Tony really wanted to do just that. They would be at home and if for some reason Tony was needed, he could go Ironman and be there in a matter of minutes. The idea was to make sure he wasn't needed, though, and SHIELD was now in place to make sure that happened.

"When are you guys coming, tomorrow?"

"The schedule allows the campers to arrive any time between noon and four. Peter wants to leave here at 8 am."

"Of course he does."

Tony smiled.

"We'll probably leave sometime around 8am," he added. "But then we'll stop somewhere for a snack or something to make sure we arrive before the other kids, but not too much earlier. Long enough for us to take him around the camp perimeters and go over ground rules without me making any kind of spectacle of things. They're already busy on the first day; they don't need me to make things busier."

Pepper had explained that to him and Peter, both.

"How mature of you…"

Which made him smirk.

"Right? Besides, I imagine it'll be even better once Pepper and I come and pick him up after camp is over."

By then, everyone would know (presumably) that Peter was Tony's son and would almost certainly be hoping for a chance to see Ironman.

She rolled her eyes at that but saw the truth in it.

"Any last-minute concerns?"

"You know all of them, already."

"And we've addressed them," Steve told him. "Let us know if you get delayed for some reason."

"We won't get delayed."

Peter wouldn't let that happen, right?

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

"It's not too late to change your mind, you know?"

Peter grinned and reached for a roll, but didn't just shove it in his mouth like he might have when he and Tony were first getting to know each other.

"I'm not going to change my mind. I can't wait."

"We could go to Disney, instead…"

"This will be more fun than Disney," Peter assured him. "Ned's going to be there."

"We could take Ned to Disney, too."

Maybe before he might have worried that Tony was serious, but Peter was pretty sure that he wasn't. Not when Pepper was trying to hide a smile behind the glass of wine she was holding.

"I'm already packed for camp."

"I know, buddy." He gave up but hadn't been trying that hard, really. "Eat your dinner and we'll watch a movie before bedtime."

"I don't think I'll be able to sleep…" Peter picked up a fork; his excitement not interfering with his appetite and he did like casserole. "I'll be up all night."

"You don't want to be tired and grumpy at camp, do you?" Pepper asked, sensibly.

"I won't be."
