Now on with the story.
This story is from the IDW Godzilla comics called 'Godzilla Legends' focusing on Anguirus. I enjoyed reading it, I thought it was a good way to introduce Anguirus to the Audience this way.

The Host suddenly gasps, clutching at his chest and losing his balance. The Force shook the theater and the massive screen cracked instantly.
"Whoa! Hey, are you okay?" Qrow asked as Darth Anarchus collapsed to his knees while holding his head.
"Lord Anarchus?" one of the Clones went to the Sith Lord's side. "Sir?"
The Sith Lord panted for air heavily. "I-" he cleared his throat and rose to his feet. He placed his wolf mask over his face. "I need to have a moment to myself." He turns to the exit. "Commander Raptor, you are in charge until I return." he said to the Clone Trooper with a black and red shoulder pad and two reptilian eyes painted on his helmet.
"Very well, my Lord." the Clone trooper nodded.
"What was that about?" Oscar asked the Clone troopers.
"I do not know for certain," Raptor replied to the former farm hand truthfully. "What I believe whatever that was was that he had sensed something with his power."
"Sensed what?" Ozpin asked. "What could give him such a response?"
". . . Death for one thing," Raptor replied after a moment. "For a response like that, either a lot of people died or someone very powerful died." Everyone felt some chills at that response.
The other Clones approached him.
"Commander?" one of them asked. "How was that possible? We're supposed to be disconnected from our home world, including the Force. How did he sense someone's death in this place?"
"Maybe the higher up let him feel it," theorized another Clone.
"Higher up? You mean his superior?" Amber asked, remembering what the Host had said during the second intermission.
"This person has a superior?" Ironwood asked. With what they had seen of their Host (Bringing Summer back from the dead and Amber out of her coma and Oscar from the future), the other members of the Audience were also surprised at the implication that he has to answer to someone.
"Force Users are powerful, but even they have limits, so to speak." Raptor replied. "We're all just workers in this theater. And every theater has a manager, an owner, or a creator."
"Oh." Ruby muttered.
"Wait, so this place isn't really your home?" Weiss asked.
"No, more like an afterlife in some cases. Most of us have died in battle and were brought here afterward." Raptor replied. "In other cases, we're just waiting to be born in our home world."
"And what of Darth Anarchus?" Salem asked. "Is he a deadman or someone yet to be born?"
"That's not for us to tell," the Clone Trooper Commander replied gruffly. "Now, let's get on with this viewing."
"Okayyy, what are we watching now?" Yang asked with a drawl at the sudden change in mood. She was actually interested to know more about their Host. But then the lights began to dim after the screen was repaired as if nothing happened to it.
"The underdog of the Godzilla Multiverse." Raptor answered.
Meanwhile, Darth Anarchus walked into his quarters. He took off his mask and placed it on a counter. He ran a hand through his hair while his prosthetic arm clenched so hard the robotic limb almost broke to pieces.
Objects like books, holocrons and relics around the Sith Lord began to shake and vibrate. The walls and ceiling began to crack and dust fell to the floor as it too cracked under the Force.
The Dark Side relished in Anarchus' barely contained grief and stoked the flames by giving him images of the death he had sensed.
Anarchus gritted his teeth and closed his eyes tightly as Force Lightning crackled in his hands. He tries to control his breathing as memories from a different life flashed before him. Memories of a boy he saw as a brother playing games children would play with their siblings. Gathering food together for their families. Fighting alongside in training, or against a common foe.
Darth Anarchus finally snapped, letting out a loud scream and everything not bolted down (Which was everything) was blasted against the walls and ceiling and then Force Lightning shot from his finger tips and shot everywhere randomly, including the Sith Lord himself, causing him to fall down in pain.
Let it be known that Force Lightning, the Dark Side especially, was dangerous when not focused on a target, especially for the user.
The city of Vale was shown to the Audience. All was quiet and peaceful, before a building was sliced in half down the middle. As the building fell apart, the Audience see who had attacked the building.
"It's a lovely day," Velvet said with a smile before jolting in surprise as did everyone else when one of the buildings was attacked, sliced down the middle.
"Holy! Give a woman a warning," May snapped.
The Kaiju stood over 150 meters tall with large wings, a thick red exoskeleton with three shoulder spikes, two rows of sharp teeth, three clawed hands and large feet with a long two pronged tail and a large glowing yellow horn in the middle of his forehead. He looked like a mix of a dragon, a scorpion and a crustacean.
This was Destroyah, one of the most powerful Kaiju on record. And he was here to bring chaos and destruction. He roars for all to hear.
GRRRAAAAAAASSHH!
"Holy shit." was the general reaction from the Audience.
"Holy shit." repeated Adrian. Much to the horror of his mothers and uncle. The three try to tell the toddler to not say that word again.
"Who and what the Hell is that?!" Vernal exclaimed.
"That is a Kaiju known as Destroyah." replied Commander Raptor. "In this universe, he is no one from your world. A Kaiju that was once a microscopic crustacean from a species that lived around since long before the Age of the Dinosaurs that was exposed to both nuclear radiation and the Oxygen Destroyer and turned him into what you see now. One of the most dangerous, powerful and deadliest Kaiju on record."
"The Oxygen Destroyer? But I thought that kills. . . everything!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Well, yes, it does, Ma'am." Raptor replied. "But Destroyah's kind lived in a time where there was little oxygen, so they were not all affected by the Oxygen Destroyer. Plus they were also dosed with a chemical known as Micro-Oxygen that makes creatures like fish grow far larger than they actually do. Combine that with radiation and the Oxygen Destroyer, you get this." he gestured to the screen. "A Living Oxygen Destroyer."
Civilians screamed in terror while two soldiers looked up in fear.
Destroyah's demonic face came the main focus, his yellow eyes seemed to stare into the Audience.
Many in the Audience, mainly the students, civilians were unnerved at looking at the face of Destroyah.
Most of the older Huntsmen and Huntresses did their best to steel themselves.
"And I thought Doomsday was ugly," Qrow and Robyn remarked in sync.
One of the Clone Troopers, Nines, snorted. They should wait until they see the actual Doomsday. Or some of the ugly beings in the Multiverse. Granted, Destroyah is in fact one of them.
The scene changed to a monitoring room with screens showcasing Destroyah's rampage in Zone 8 KDF (Kaiju Defense Force) Research Facility with Doctor Flynt Coal and Major Neon Katt with Colonel James Ironwood.
"Sweet, Flynt, we're part of this too!" Neon said in excitement to her partner.
"Nice," Flynt nodded, flicking his fedora hat with a grin.
"And from the looks of it, part of the military," Ironwood noted.
"The Kaiju Defense Force," Commander Raptor said. "A military branch formed from all of the Kingdoms to combat the Kaiju."
Ironwood hummed as he made a mental note look into the library to learn more.
"We need to evacuate this facility NOW!" Flynt said to Ironwood urgently.
"Dr. Coal, I can't think of a better time to field-test that "dog whistle" of yours," Ironwood replied, gesturing to a computer like device on the table between the two men and Neon.
"Dog whistle?" repeated Whitley in confusion.
"With all due respect, Colonel Ironwood, the odds of the G-Signaler working are stacked against us," Flynt retorted before he gained a haunted expression. "I stumbled upon that frequency by accident while trying to attract whales, not monsters. . ."
Penny, her father and Dr. Watts raised an intrigued eyebrow or tilted their head (Penny mainly.) like a curious puppy.
The screen loses color to show a flashback of Flynt in a room on a boat. The frequency is heard faintly from the device on his table. RMMP. RMMP. And suddenly, the room shakes, the shelves fall down as Flynt's eyes widen as he tries to remain upright.
". . . And all of my research was destroyed in that encounter." Outside of the boat he is on, the Audience see three rows of familiar looking bony white dorsal fins as well with a long black tail along with hearing a familiar roar.
SKKRRREEEOOOOONNKK!
"It could take me another six months-or six years-to recreate the exact dissonance wavelengths that might comple Kaiju Alpha to show up like he did that day," the flashback fades to the present as Flynt pinches the bridge of his nose. "I barely escaped with my life." he grits his teeth.
"That's rough, buddy." Neon remarked.
"So, the military came to him for this G-Signaler to summon Kaiju Alpha on purpose?" Glynda theorized.
"Yes." replied Commander Raptor."
"Right now, there are soldiers out there losing their lives so you can escape with yours, again." Ironwood replied sternly. "If Kaiju Alpha shows up, it will at least buy us some time until reinforcements arrive."
"But-" Flynt tries to protest but Ironwood cuts him off with a firm order. "You will activate it right now, no more excuses."
"Fine, Colonel," Flynt relents and presses a button on the small computer like machine with a near silent CLICK.
There is a steady rhythmic RMMP echoing through the air, almost like a heartbeat. RMMP. RMMP. RMMP.
Outside, the Audience see Destroyah decimating the KDF forces with his Oxygen Destroyer beam and held a tank within the pincer claws of his tail while being unaffected by the maser beams and missiles fired at his exoskeleton.
RMMP. RMMP. RMMP. RMMP.
The Faunus either twitched or their animal ears (Velvet, Blake, Sienna, Kali) flickered upon hearing the frequency.
Back inside the control room, Flynt, Neon and Ironwood look around, waiting to see if the device is calling out to Kaiju Alpha. After a moment, save for Destroyah's rampage outside, nothing happened.
"Well, that was a bit of a let down," Scarlet said after a moment of silence.
"Welp," Sun remarked. "We're doomed."
"Hmmph," Ironwood hummed, sounding a bit disappointed.
"Told you it wouldn't work," said a defeated Flynt.
"We don't know that yet," Neon said optimistically. "It's likely miles away." The Cat Faunus sees her friend still looking defeated. She placed a hand on his shoulder. "You'll figure it out. You just need more time."
"We don't have any more time-" Ironwood spoke up and then the duo and the Audience see Destroyah's chest and claws filling up the window and his demonic draconic face fills the screen of every monitor in the room, staring at the humans in the room and the Audience with deranged malice. I see you.
Neo stared at the screen before holding up a sign. They're dead. D-E-A-D. Dead.
"Gah! It's like he's looking at us!" Ruby cried.
"Thank goodness he doesn't know that we're watching him," Amber said, trying to calm herself down.
"It's here," Ironwood said, speaking for the three of them. Flynt and Neon's expressions become one of fear.
BRA-GOOM!
Three of Destroyah's claws crashed through the wall of the room with a roar. REEARRRRGGRGRG! And the room is filled with dust.
Neon coughs, her silhouette barely visible through the dust. "Coal? Ironwood?" she called out before coughing again. "Anyone?"
"Over here!" Flynt answered from her left. The Cat Faunus ran out of the dust cloud and found the scientist. The two then see Ironwood who was pinned down by a large piece of debris on his chest and missing his right eye.
Ironwood wasn't all that affected at seeing himself missing an eye. He had lost his arm, a majority of his torso, and part of his skull in the past. His friends did grimace at the condition of his counterpart though.
"Colonel!" Neon exclaimed as she ran over and kneels down. "We're going to get you out of there."
"No. You won't." Ironwood said through gritted teeth.
"We will, Sir. Just gotta-" Neon growled as she tried to lift the debris.
THOMP. THOMP. Thomp. . . . Thomp. . . Thomp.
Flynt listened to the footsteps and noted that they were decreasing in intensity. Meaning, "It's turned away from us." He said to Neon and Ironwood.
"Thank Oum," Glynda muttered
RUMMMBLE
"That doesn't sound good," Qrow snarked.
The room shook, this time for another reason. "Doesn't matter. This place is coming down," Ironwood replied.
"He's right. We gotta go," Flynt said, raising a arm over his head when he felt some pebbls and dust fall on his head.
"Not without the Colonel," Neon said, grabbing Ironwood's forearm and tried pull him out. But the debris had him pinned.
"Negative, Neon." Jame said sternly. "You will get the doctor and his device to safety."
"But, Sir-"
"THAT IS AN ORDER, MAJOR!" Ironwood declared at the Cat Faunus.
Many of the Good Side of the Audience, the students especially Ruby were thinking that they would stay and try to help Ironwood's counterpart and get him to safety. The older good guys were not as conflicted and remained silent including Ironwood.
Neon froze, conflicted before she saluted.
Neon and Flynt ran out of the KDF building just as it collapsed behind them. The Cat Faunus, once they were far enough away, stopped and closed her eyes, bowing her head.
"Katt. . . Neon," Flynt said, reaching out to her hesitantly. "I'm sorry. I-"
"You'll figure out how to make it work, Flynt." Neon said, opening her blue eyes with a determined glare. "I know you will."
Just then a Kaiju roar was faintly heard.
GAAAAAAOOOO!
"Is that good or bad?" Maria asked.
"Good." was the response from Commander Raptor.
"It's not Godzilla," Weiss mused. "Unless he has a different vocalization in this universe."
"Most variants we've seen have sounded the same though," Whitley pointed out.
"Friend Whitley is correct." Penny spoke up. "Though there are different tones, most Godzilla variants have the same vocalizations."
"So, who's the Kaiju then?" Tai asked.
"What's that?" Neon asked as she and Flynt turned to the direction the roar had come from. "Is it Alpha? Did it work?"
"No. I recognize that vocalization." Flynt said as the Audience see that Destroyah turned out towards the harbor as the newcomer Kaiju sent a great splash of water into the air. "It's-"
GAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Roared the quadrepedal Kaiju with a crest of curver spikes on his head, a curved nasal horn on his long snout and a shell of white spikes. A sailboat was tossed into the air and another boat was pushed forward before being capsized by the tidal wave.
"Anguirus. (Cardin Winchester.)"
"Ha! I'm a Kaiju!" Cardin pumped his fist. "This is going to be awesome!"
"Oh hey, I remember seeing a glimpse of him in the last viewing," Amber said. "I think he was fighting Jaune Godzilla."
"Your device works!" Neon exclaimed. "And this Anguirus, he can fight that thing, right?"
"Fight, yes." Flynt replied. "Win, no."
The screen then split into three different panels with the silhouette of Anguirus in the middle. "In fact, ever since his first recorded appearance, when he was defeated by Kaiju Alpha-" Flynt's voice narrated as Anguirus was shown to the Audience being blasted in the chest by a familiar Atomic Breath with a BLOOM! in the far left panel.
"-Anguirus has lost-" The Kaiju was then shown being carried high into the air by the tail by the talons of Queen Salem.
"-Every single fight with another monster that we have on record." Anguirus was then SLASHED in the face by the sickle/scythe blades of Gigan (Tyrian Callows). He roars in pain as the blade cuts his face. SQUUEEEAARRR!
"Oh, well then." was all Cardin could say.
"Good luck, Cardin." Jaune said.
Cardin rose his eyebrows. "I'm going to need it." he remarked.
"That thing out there? They call it Destroyah." Flynt explained. "It's one of the most powerful Kaiju ever recorded, second only to Alpha himself. Anguirus is no match." He looks out to the distance with a dreaded and resigned expression. "He's doomed and we're done."
Neon didn't have his sentiment. "Not yet, we're not." she declared before dragging the scientist with her cat tail. "Come with me."
Anguirus stood before Destroyah, ready for the battle while the Red Devil Kaiju looked mildly confused that the Kaiju was challenging him to combat. And the size difference was VERY noticeable by the Audience.
"Yikes, it's like seeing a dog face off against a Grizzly," Oscar said with a grimace.
Utterly fearless, Anguirus let out a grunt before charging forth like a rhino towards his much larger opponent.
WHAM!
He was kicked in the face when he got into striking distance. The spiky Kaiju flew back through the air before he crashed down on one of the buildings of the city.
"Ooh! That's gotta hurt!" Velvet winced.
"He'd defintely feel that in the morning." Yang said.
As Cardin rose back to his feet, shaking his head with blood running down his chin from his nose, Destroyah approached him, charging up his beam. Then Cardin's spiked tail swung out like a bat and sent three chuncks of concrete from the ground and hit Destroyah right in the face.
This did little to stop the Red Devil Kaiju from firing his beam at Anguirus's back. Cardin closed his eyes and braced himself as the beam hit his armored back.
Meanwhile, Flynt and Neon jogged through the airfield runway near the KDF building. "The air field? You have pilot training?" the scientist asked the Cat Faunus.
"It's required of all officers in the KDF," Neon replied and then she saw what was in front of her. "And we're in luck! One jet left."
"Thank God. The chopper's too slow and I'd rather not be anywhere near here after Destroyah massacres Anguirus." Flynt replied in relief.
Despite the situation with the Kaiju, Nora couldn't help but snicker a little. "Chopper," she repeated in amusement.
Ironwood had Dr. Polendina and Clover make notes of the 'jet's' design for the Atlesian air fleet.
The two get into the jet's pilot and co-pilot seats, the reflection of Destroyah and Cardin's tail was on the windshield. "If that thing's so tough and Anguirus has lost every fight," Neon spoke up, looking out to the two Kaiju. "Why's he even bothering?"
"Anguirus is known for his unique brand of tenacity," Flynt replied as he put on his helmet. "Always charging blindly into battle with much more powerful Kaiju. It's moronic, and this could be his last mistake."
"So, he's like a bulldog?" Coco asked.
"More or less," Raptor replied with a shrug. "Give him a good reason to fight, Anguirus would rarely find a reason to back down from the fight."
"That's kind of admirable, actually," Winter stated.
"Yeah, not really moronic as the other me has said it to be," Flynt said.
"I don't know if I should take it as a compliment since it's my counterpart," Cardin muttered, "Or not if it's not me-me."
Destroyah turned around and reached his tail towards Anguirus with his pincer claws opened up.
"That looks dangerous," Neptune said.
"You think?" Cardin retorted.
Tyrian grinned while looking at his Scorpion tail. He should ask for an upgrade like that. More blood to spill.
GAA-OK, Cardin choked as the pincer claws closed around his neck in a vice like grip. He grabbed onto the tail with his hands, but before he tried to pull the pincer claws off his neck, Destroyah spread his wings than took off, dragging Anguirus face first through the buildings of Vale.
KRAASH! KRAASH! KRAASH!
The pincer claws dug into Anguirus' skin, causing him to bleed from his neck.
Most of the Audience grimaced or flinched, Oscar making the same facial expressions his Dragon Rider counterpart had made when the giant torch rolled through the village.
Destroyah then stopped on a dime and swings his tail around before releasing his grip on Cardin and sending the smaller Kaiju flying through air and crashing on the ground on his back. BRA-KOOM!
"Okay, shouldn't he be doing something?" Yang asked. "Shouldn't Cardin be breathing some radioactive fire or something at Destroyah."
"Anguirus doesn't really do that," explained Nines. "Some variants can possess the ability to roar tornadoes, for the lack of a better metaphor, most of the time, Anguirus can just dig through solid rock or curl into a ball like a hedgehog. He is only armed with his teeth, claws and spiky tail and shell."
Neon stared out to the downed Kaiju as she set the jet for take off before it flew up and then she turned it to fly towards the Kaiju.
"What are you doing?!" Flynt exclaimed, noticing where she was flying them. "We're supposed to fly away from the monsters, not towards!"
"I can't just run away while an underdog is getting bullied." Neon replied heatedly. "You might call what Anguirus does moronic, Coal, I call it courageous!"
"Yeah, fight with the underdog!" Cheered Fiona. The Sheep Faunus chuckled nervously when most of the Audience turned to look at her.
Then she fired missiles at Destroyah, hitting him on his shoulder, ribs and the back of his knee and hip. The Red Devil Kaiju grimaced but there was no pain in his expression nor in his roar. He sounded more annoyed, like a gorilla being pelted with hot pebbles.
REEEEEEAAAAARR!
"Yes! Direct hit!" Neon cheered as she turned the jet away.
"And just like every weapon we have, completely ineffective!" Flynt deadpanned.
"Well, at least I tried," Neon said, crossing her arms.
"It's the thought that counts," Ruby said supportively.
Destroyah turned around and fired his Oxygen Destroyer Beam at the jet that veered to the side to avoid being hit. "All you've done is turned its wrath from Anguirus to us!" Flynt shouted.
"I had to try! Maybe now we can just lure the damn thing out to sea!" Neon retorted.
"It'll blow us out of the sky first!" Flynt replied. "Where the Hell are those reinforcements?!" He pulled out a radio. "Mayday, Maday! This is the last remaining aircraft of the Zone 8 KDF Research facility!" He said frantically. "We're under heavy fire! Hello? Anybody?!"
Static was all he got. "Nothing," he muttered.
"There's got to be something that hurts that thing," Neon said, referring to Destroyah.
"Well, it has been documented that extreme cold can have a detrimental effect on Destroyah. . . " Dr. Coal mused to himself, ". . . We could lure it to those big freon tanks at the chemical plant-"
"-And detonate them with artillery fire and freeze that ugly bastard!" Major Katt finished before grinning slightly. "You're a genius, Coal!"
Destroyah was now flying after the small jet and firing after them with his beam attack.
"For the life of me, I do not understand how something that big can fly!" Roman exclaimed.
"Ooh, I have a possible explanation for a creature of Destroyah's size possessing the ability of flight!" Penny exclaimed. "I've made the thesis after seeing the Red Death from the How To Train Your Dragon universe and I believe that-"
"I wasn't looking for an actual answer," Roman cut her off rudely.
"Oh," Penny said, lowering her head down like a sad puppy. Whitley and Ruby patted her on the shoulder before the latter glared at the master thief who shrugged in response.
"It's working, but I don't know how much longer I can dodge those blasts!" The Cat Faunus admitted.
"You know, if we'd taken the chopper," Dr. Coal mused out loud as the jet came closer to the freon tank. "We could have just used its hydraulic towing clamp to pick up the tank and tow it-"
"Not helping, Flynt!" The KDF Major snapped.
The Audience sees Anguirus rising to his feet with a weak roar. REEEOORRR
"Okay, he's getting back up!" Nora cheered before admitting, "Wow, I'm actually glad Cardin is okay in this universe."
"Gee, thanks," Cardin rolled his eyes.
KRRRR? Destroyah turned his head back to Cardin. Oh, you're still alive? Let's fix that.
"Oh come on!" Cardin cried out the next. "Give a guy a breather!"
"Destroyah doesn't work like that." Doc said. "The bastard's sadistic devil that likes to toy with his victims."
"Oh, so like Callows?" Hazel grunted.
"Yes."
"I'm not offended by that, if that was your intention," the mentioned Scorpion Faunus declared.
"Just stating facts."
"No! It's turning back to Anguirus!" Neon exclaimed angrily. "Come back here, you f-!"
"Language around the baby!" both Saphron and Terra shouted, covering Adrian's ears.
"Neon! We tried!" Flynt cuts off the Cat Faunus's angry hiss. "It'll kill us before we can ever lure it close enough!"
"Dammit, it's not fair!" Neon cries out in frustration. "We just try to live and these things stomp all over us just because they're bigger."
Flynt gained a guilt ridden expression. "There's something else I have to tell you." He confessed.
The screen turns black and white and the Audience sees the flashback of Flynt's encounter with Kaiju Alpha.
"When I accidentally summoned Kaiju Alpha, my research ship was destroyed and I was the only one of my crew that made it out alive," Flynt narrated as his ship was shown being sunk by Kaiju Alpha. Then the Audience sees Flynt being pulled out of the ocean and he sees the Kaiju attacking Vale in the distance. The city was a sea of fire and the silhouette of the Kaiju was seen. "When they pulled me out the ocean, I was witness to what my accidental discovery had wrought. In that awful moment I vowed to dedicate my life to the study of these monsters in the hopes of developing the means to prevent what I've caused from ever happening again."
Flynt was then shown working on the G-Signaler, Colonel Ironwood and Neon standing behind him. "When you and Ironwood recruited me to develope the G-Signaler, I accepted." Flynt said. "But rather than trying to recreate the frequency that attracted Kaiju Alpha, I've actually been working on the antithesis of that."
"Well, it is understandable for him to do that," Ozpin said, understanding Flynt's counterpart and many of his inner circle, plus the Ace-Ops agreed with him.
In the present, Dr. Coal lowers his head. "I'm sorry I deceived you. . . but I just couldn't bear to be responsible for luring a monster to a city again," he said. "The signal I sent out today was just an approximation of what I had stumbled upon originally. I was certain it wouldn't work."
"Apparently I can't even fabricate the wrong frequency without accidentally attracting a monster," he mutters more to himself than to Neon. "Even if it is just Ang-YAAAAH!" he cried out in surprise when Neon interrupted him by suddenly flipping the jet around.
"Stop feeling sorry for yourself, Flynt!" Neon said as they flew towards Destroyah who held the struggling Anguirus-Cardin by the throat. "I've watched you working in that lab, I've read your reports. I know you can figure out something to help us. You just need to believe in yourself. Like I believe in you."
Flynt grinned to the Cat Faunus next to him who smiled back, sharing her counterpart's sentiment.
Flynt looked at the back of the Cat Faunus in surprise before furrowing his brow in determination. "You're right, Neon. It's a long shot, but maybe I can make some adjustments to the Alpha-repelling signal I've been working on and use it to repel Destroyah instead." he said as he adjusted the G-Signaler/Repeller. "You'll need to fly us in as close to it as you can."
"You got it!" Neon replied.
SQUUUEEEEEAARRRR! Cardin roared in pain as Destroyah began to pull his jaws apart with what looked like a sadistic smile.
"Wow, you weren't kidding," Mercury stated to the Clone Trooper as he rubbed his own jaw.
"Sadistic bastard," Emerald whispered, grimacing at the sight of Anguirus's jaws being pulled apart by Destroyah.
"Let him go, you jerk!" Ruby shouted with a glare at the screen.
"It's killing Anguirus!" Neon exclaimed. "You ready with that thing?!"
"Here goes nothing!" Dr. Coal replied and CLICKED on the button.
VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT!
Upon hearing the frequency near his ears, Destroyah dropped Anguirus-Cardin. REEEAAAAAAAAARRRGGGGRAAAAA! he screeched.
VRRT! VRRT! VRRT!
"That's different," Sun declared, the Monkey Faunus rubbing at his ear as was Adam.
"Is it working?" Amber asked.
"Flynt! It's working!" Katt exclaimed before faltering as she and the Audience see Destroyah squinting one eye. "Uh. . . Sort of?" she corrected herself in uncertainty.
VRRT! VRRT! VRRT! VRRT!
Destroyah began to shake his head side to side.
"I guess not," Raven said.
"Dammit! The signal only disoriented it. . . " Flynt cried out. "And it's already wearing off!"
"You did your best, Flynt." Neon replied. "At least you bought Anguirus a few more moments of life. We're getting out of here, I can't watch him be finished off."
"You two can't give up just yet." declared a familiar voice on the radio.
"Ironwood?!" Katt cried out in surprise. "You're alive!"
"He's allliiiive!" Tai shouted dramatically with Summer.
"Affirmative, Major." Ironwood replied. "Managed to get myself free and out of the facility as it came down. Found the last chopper, just in time to hear the doctor's mayday. . . And everything afterwards since he left the radio on."
"Under a different circumstance, I'd be a bit embarrassed about something like that," Flynt said. "But since he's our backup, I'm glad my counterpart left the radio on."
The now one eyed Colonel was shown piloting the helicopter. "And it's a good thing you did, Dr. Coal." he siad. "I got to hear all about your little scheme. . . And I thought I'd lend you a hand with that genius plan of yours!"
He then pushes the throttle at full speed and flies towards the back of Destroyah, the giant freon tank in tow.
"IRONWOOD!" both Dr. Coal and Major Katt shouted as the helicopter and tank slammed into Destroyah and exploded. BADOOM!
Many in the Audience saluted the screen, Qrow raised his flask before taking a swig, others bowed their heads. Ironwood himself just nodded his head, agreeing with his counterpart's actions.
SKRREEEEEEE! screeched the Red Devil Kaiju as his entire left side, face and wing was covered in ice.
"Ha! That's what you get, you crab-dragon bully!" Nora declared.
"Have an ice day!" Yang punned. Everyone around her groaned in annoyance and exasperation. "Oh come on, guys that was funny."
"Don't worry, sweetie, I thought it was cool," Tai made a pun himself. His wives and brother-in-law facepalmed in perfect sync. "All chill."
"They'd be singing a different tune if they saw what Destroyah did to the Kaiju Prince," Commander Raptor said to the Clone Troopers next to him.
Most of the Clones simply nodded their heads in silent agreement or said, "Affirmative" or "Yes sir."
Cardin lifted his head up and saw his enemy now open for his most powerful attack. GAAAOOOOO! He roared before leaping forward and curled up into a ball like a hedgehog or an armadillo and bounced towards Destroyah.
"Whoa! You didn't say he could do that!" Ilia exclaimed in surprise and shock that was shared with the Audience.
"I said he could curl into a ball," replied Nines with a shrug. "Why are you surprised?"
"He's becoming a massive rolling boulder of spiky crushing death!"
"Oh yeah."
KRRASH!
REEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK! Destroyah screeched in agony as Anguirus slammed into his left side and the left side of his torso, the underside of his left arm, a good chunck of his left thigh and hip shattered like glass.
"WHOO-HOO! Go Cardin!" cheered the students.
"I actually won? I mean, he actually won?" Cardin said in surprise before grinning. "Ha! The underdog won! With help, but still!" He then tossed his money into the air. "Pizza's on me, guys! Cardin! Cardin! Oi! Oi! Oi!"
Both Raptor and Nines shared a surprised expression. Huh. Cardin just did a Snotlout victory cry. Who saw that coming?
"Woo-Hoo! That got 'em!" Dr. Coal whooped in victory.
"And Ironwood sacrificed himself. . . again." Major Katt lowered her head with a sad smile.
"Come on now, Major," Ironwood's voice said on the radio before the Audience saw him descending on a parachute. ". . . You forget your parachute training?" he asked smugly while Destroyah was retreating.
"You crazy bastard! You can't keep doing that to me!" Katt shouted in joy.
Scowling, Glynda whacked the Ironwood next to her. The man looked at her in surprise and confusion. What did he do?
Ozpin smirked and shook his head as did Oscar and the Ozpin in his head.
"Sorry, Major. But you should know that you made me proud today," Ironwood replied in a proud tone. "And Dr. Coal, you will make me proud once you figure out how to make the G-Signaler repel Kaiju Alpha."
"Sir?" Dr. Coal questioned.
"Son, did it never enter that genius head of yours that the military would have been just as interested in a device that would keep monsters away from cities?" Ironwood asked.
"I'd be concerned if they weren't okay with that," Robyn remarked.
"Honestly, why didn't they try to go with that first?" Qrow asked. "With his experience, the doc would have been more on board."
"Um, No, Sir." Flynt replied with a grimace at his own naivety.
Later, both Dr. Coal and Major Katt stood at the deck of a Navy ship shortly after reinforcements arrived. "The cleanup teams are reporting that Destroyah has fled back into the sea." The Cat Faunus reported.
"That's a relief," Dr. Coal sighed. "And thanks, Neon. . . for believing in me. I'm sorry for deceiving you about the G-Signaler."
"It's okay, I knew all along," Neon replied and she gives Flynt a shy smile. "You talk in your sleep."
"She's not wrong," Neon said to Flynt next to her. "You kind of do, sometimes."
Flynt slumped in embarrassment.
GAAAOOOOO! roared a Kaiju that was swimming not too far away from the ship. It was Anguirus-Cardin.
"Well, look who it is, fresh from his very first victory!" Flynt remarked.
"What, what's that out there?" Neon asked, pointing to three rows of large white bony dorsal fins that were swimming towards the smaller Kaiju. "Destroyah again?!"
Many gasped upon seeing the dorsal fins. Even with a different shape, they understood who that meant.
"No. . . not Destroyah." Flynt replied with growing dread. "It-It can't be. I'd recognize those dorsal spikes anywhere. . . It's Kaiju Alpha. . . It's-"
The Kaiju rose out of the water, standing a hundred meters in height in a human-like stance. A thick muscular chest and arms with a thick ribbed neck, a wolf-like face with fangs and ears and electric blue eyes.
SKRREEEOOOONNKK! roared "GODZILLA! (Jaune Arc)" swinging his long tail behind him.
"And it's Jaune Godzilla," Ren pointed out.
"Not the one from what is known as the Showa Era, but yes, this variant is Jaune Arc," explained Commander Raptor.
"Sweet," Nora grinned.
"Well, he looks cool." Pyrrha said.
"Anguirus can't survive another fight. . . can he?" Neon asked hesitantly.
"Even if he wasn't weakened from Destroyah," Flynt replied. "He couldn't survive this."
Cardin sighed heavily. "Okay then." he said. "Let's get this over with.
However both Jaune and Cardin stared at one another. So, you sent Destroyah flying for retreat?
Yes. I did.
Not bad, Stubby Spike-ball. Not bad at all. grumbled Godzilla before the Kaiju Alpha turned his head away. RRR?
"Wow, Godzilla's not engaging him." Flynt said in shock. "That's a first."
"Ha! Maybe Anguirus has finally earned some respect!" Neon laughed. The Audience then see the Cat Faunus smiling at her human partner. "Y'know, the fact that Alpha did show up proves that you were able to recreate the signal." she said. "Just goes to show, never underestimate the underdogs."
"What is the reason for that?" Ironwood asked.
"Well, in almost every universe save for the Singular universe, Godzilla and Anguirus are close allies in battle after fighting each other once." Commander Raptor replied.
"Really?" Ozpin asked, intrigued.
"They respect one another's fighting spirit." the Clone Commander added. "It can be ironic considering their species originally stood on different sides of the Predator-Prey table before becoming Kaiju."
"Always respect the underdogs!" cheered Nora, Neon, Ruby and Penny.
Flynt wasn't smiling. In fact, he looked like he was about book it. "Uh, yeah. . ." he said hesitantly. "I think I know why Godzilla didn't attack Anguirus."
"Huh?"
Just then, missiles fired from the Air Force Jets bombard Godzilla-Jaune's chest and shoulders. He roars in anger. SKRREEEEOOOONNK!
"He's going after the bigger threat!" Dr. Coal shouts as he and Major Katt run away from the edge of the deck.
Despite the fact that the Kaiju was going to attack the humans at the end, most of the Audience couldn't help but chuckle at what Flynt's counterpart had said.
"Why did they shoot him?" Ruby asked. "It was like, close to a happy ending for everyone."
"Well, except for Destroyah," Oscar said in agreement.
"The soldiers are just doing their jobs," Commander Raptor replied. "Now, onto the next one."
For those that are curious about Darth Anarchus, I used him as an outlet.
Almost three weeks ago from now, while I was writing this, I found out that one of my cousins had committed suicide. He and I were close when we were younger. There was a funeral planned but it was cancelled because his father is reacting in ways I'm not comfortable saying.
And yet, I didn't feel anything but shock. A part of me was like I should be crying now. I wanted to cry. He and I were close. But instead, I was just numb from it all.
So I just used my OC as an outlet for what I want to feel.
So, yeah, there was that.
But other than that. . . I hope you all enjoyed reading the chapter.
Now originally, I wanted to use an AMV from YouTube about Anguirus but ultimately decided to use this IDW comic I've been reading and thought it was a good way to introduce Anguirus, the underdog of the Kaiju that doesn't back down from a fight.
Whether it's a fight with Godzilla himself, King Ghidorah, Gigan, MechaGodzilla or even Destroyah.
And I casted Cardin as Anguirus because I felt like it would fit for a redeemed Cardin and I am a bit tired of writing Cardin as a one dimensional bully like most of the fandom I've seen write him as.
