It's was already 11 a.m and it was unusual for both of them to still asleep. While they actually went on with only sleeping together, they were not able to just fall asleep, after Rory found in her luggage her pajamas with coffee cups (Logan's present) and helped to Logan with changing, they settled down in bed and just started talking about everything and nothing at the same time, they told eachother about everything what happened this summer.
Rory told him about Stars Hollow's graduation party, that she felt honoured that they decided to do it, but at the same time awkward, because of, well she wasn't first citizen to graduate from college, from Yale? Maybe, but definitely other kids from town also are graduating every year and only celebrating her is a little bit unfair to others. She told him that her mom and Luke are back together, but are taking it slow this time, that Christopher and Gigi are fine in Boston and that she actually misses to have her little sister around, that grandma and grandpa are doing well and that Richard's health is in better state right now, next she started telling him that Paris's and Doyle's move to Boston was pain is ass «No seriously, if Colin and Finn are thinking that I am controlling them too much during moves, they have to spent even one day with Miss control freak and they'll regret that ever whined about helping me» she told him with bad attempts to hide her laugh. And after she told him stories about her job,about states she visited and facts about them «You knew that first public library in USA was opened in New Hampshire? And you know that, they don't have a McDonald's in Montpelier, Vermont?» she was just going on with all of that and of course told him about her coworkers and especially about Lena and that they both helped eachother this summer with going through their break ups with boyfriends.
Logan listened her and was amazed, he never thought that he can miss somebody so much, that after not seeing her for 3 months, that after being no contact for 3 months, it would still feel like nothing happened. He liked all of her stories and told her what happened to him. After 10 days of drinking marathon, he had just 4 days to move and settle down in California. His belongings were scattered across different places, Honor took everything from Rory's place and his things from New York apartment were already at her place and also he had his things at Colin's and Finn's apartments. His trip with boys from Hartford to Palo Alto was very funny, they took Finn's SUV and drived whole way here, with some stops, his brilliant friend, the most responsible from all of them, Colin!, bought an Inn in Nebraska! And he thought that his Porsche is going to stay in Connecticut, but boys transferred his car to him a week later as a housewarming gift. He told her about his job, what he is doing in new company and that they want him to become one of co-owner of this company, because of well maybe he is no longer working for HPG, he still has a lot of connections, friendships, acquaintances and well also with his birth charm and communication skills he can easily work with people. Also he added a few stories about his neighbours.
Logan was first one to wake up, during period of time when they lived together, part of their routine was that, Ror was first one to wake up on weekdays and he was getting up first at weekends. At the moment, when he opened his eyes and saw her cuddled at his right side, he thought that he is dreaming, because of, well he actually dreamed about that during this months, but now it was his reality. He decided not to disturb her and got up to make her coffee. Number one rule in Gilmore girls book is that, coffee is in priority in their lives and well, while he hoped that this amount of coffee in her life will still be healthy for her, he knew that in future will come times when she'll have to subtract quantity of her coffee cups, but now he was ready again to bring her coffee every morning, afternoon and evening.
When Rory woke up in bed alone she panicked, she worried that maybe Logan changed his mind while she was asleep and before her mind started to reanalyze everything he walked into bedroom.
– «Good morning beautiful»
– «Good morning» she said relieved. «But this morning would be better, if I'd woke up in this bed with somebody»
– «I'd like that too, but knowing you, you right now need a cup of coffee»
– «Thank you, I love you»
– «I love you too, Ace»
They decided to order in some food today and to spent some time together watching TV and to talk again. A few hours later Rory said that she needs some time for writing, so she occupied his den, or to be more specific room which is supposed to be a den, but right now is full of empty shelves and of full boxes, but with gorgeous wooden table in the middle, whole table was in Logan's papers. She told him that she needs time for writing and while it was true, it was half true, she needs this time to made a Pro/Con list and to made one of the most important decision in her life.
Con's of moving in California
• she will have to quit her job
• to live in a new state where she has no friends or family and she has to live far away from all of them
• she will have to find a new job
• fully move out from Stars Hollow
• she has to tell about it to her mom
Pro's of moving in California
• she loves Logan and wants to be with him
• she was already tired spending her whole time in a bus and she at least has another 3 months there, so she still has time to experience there everything what's possible
• she can make new friends and practically all of their friends and family members has an opportunity to take a flight here and she and Logan can fly back to East Coast anytime
• in San Francisco exists a lot of different newspapers and magazines, she can find a new job here
• this was coming, she actually isn't living full-time in Stars Hollow since she was 18, but no matter what it's always going to be her hometown and she'll visit it often
• at least her grandparents will be happy that they are back together
• an avocado tree
• she loves Logan and wants to spend her life with him
Actually it was an easy decision, 3 months ago she would freak out, panic and run, but maybe they needed this months apart, SHE needed them to figure everything out, to understand what she wants from this life.
When she went downstairs, she found Logan at a backyard, he was sitting and watching at an avocado trees.
– «You were writing a Pro/Con list, right?» he asked nervously.
– «Yeap»
– «You have a decision?»
– «Yeas»
– «And?» and she just handled him her paper. While he was reading it she patiently waited for his reaction.
– «Rory, is this what I think?» he said with a smile
– «And what are you thinking?»
– «That you are considering to move here in 3 months?»
– «Considering? Oh noo MAC, I already decided to move here. But are YOU okay with that?»
– «Am I okay with that? Ace I dreamed about this, that was in my thoughts since first time I saw this house!» they stood up and hugged eachother tightly.
– «Well, I have to notify Hugo that I am thankful for everything, but that I have to agree on a 6 month terms, so I still have to work till the beginning of January, but I am already thinking about making Palo Alto as my homebase and come here on my free days and to transfer my belongings here through this months.»
– «Yes, yes and again yes, but I have one condition» he noticed her puzzled look and continued «during this 3 months you have to help me with furnishing, I don't think that we will finish with it so quickly,but we have to start. Ace I want this house to become our home, I want it to be comfortable for you, your safe place, so I want you to decorate it like you want»
– «Okay, but I also want to have one condition» he nodded and she continued «You bought this house right?» he nodded again «I want to contribute, I want to pay for utilities, food, I would also add furniture, but knowing us and including sizes of this house, I will not be able to buy so much, but I still want to pay for something, I don't want to feel uncomfortable because of the fact, that you are paying for everything»
– «I knew that this was coming, Ror let's do it like this, yes furniture is on me and please don't argue and don't worry about that, I am going to give you all the accesses to my bank accounts and again don't argue, most of the orders for house will be online, you need to have my bank information, about food let's make it like before, restaurants and cafes are obviously on me, you are taking fridge and shelves and orders will be shared by system "who will be first at a door" and about utilities let's do it 50/50? Because of, well I am not going to allow you to pay for everything, no way, especially with this Californian taxes. Deal?» he asked hopefully.
– «Deal» she said and kissed him, knowing that there is no point to argue with Logan and while he said that whole furniture is on him, she still can by some decorations with her money.
