It's been 5 weeks since Rory and Logan were back together. They were messaging eachother every day and were trying to phone call every 2 day. Rory was so surprised when she saw him 2 weeks ago in Minnesota, that action just screamed Logan, he always liked to do big gestures and to surprise her when he was able to. He just knocked on her motel room door and swept her away for a weekend. Well they were still in Minneapolis, but in expensive hotel, they had delicious dinner in restaurant and spend their whole time together. Logan's arm was still injured, but was supposed to be in cast till the beginning of October.
As Rory was walking through airport she noticed her blondie standing with a bouquet in his hands. She rushed and jumped on him and as his arm healed he was able to catch her without a problem. While Rory was on a road for all this time, Logan was back at work, he managed to still do all his stuff for closing previous deal and already started a new project.
And no matter the fact that they were busy with their jobs they were furnishing their house. Rory hesitated in the beginning, but now she is full head filled with all the decorations, at first they decided what to do with all the rooms, three guest room will still be for guests, but the fourth one infront of a den at second floor will be transformed in Rory's movies and relaxation room. Yeap, if Logan is going to have at first floor his game room or to be more specific his "man's cave", she is going to have her movies rome, and it's not a home theater, because of she is going to have fluffy coaches, chair bags and movie projector, which will show movies on a white wall. In room she will also have shelves for books and CD's, of course shelves full of junk food and one wall will be their little photo gallery, where she is planning to hang on the wall her and Logan's photos, photos of their friends and family. Rory already decided that in the middle is going to be photo of her and Logan from LDB evening, when they jumped from that seven storeys stunt.
Meanwhile they also decided what is going to be in Logans game room, huge TV to watch sports and play console games at comfy seatings around, pool table, poker table, foosball table, darts and e.t. and of course a mini bar full of alcohol. And the most important thing is that, Henry the armor suit, will finally placed not infront of their bed, but in place were he belongs.
And they made decisions about a den, that it will be their joint home office with two tables on a different sides and one huge table in the middle of the room for times when they'll need to have mini conferences with somebody at home, shelves will be from floor to ceiling and fulfilled with both of their books, Rory was happy that now she can truly have her whole book collection at one place beautifully arranged. Rory decided that guests rooms have to be in one style, but one of two bedrooms at first floor will have two separated bed, for times when maybe they'll have a lot of guests and for example boys can stay in it. And she was changing some decorations of master bedroom and living room, how you can see she was very excited about whole furnishing stuff at home and Logan was just happy that she is happy, he loved to see that Rory is so catched up with transformation of house about which he once thought is going to be a place where all his hopes about bright future were destroyed into their own safe, full of love and dreams home.
– « Oh my God, look at this woman who is going tomorrow to become a year older! You started to think about your retirement Ace?» Logan smirked.
– « Ha-ha,very funny to hear this from a man who is 2 years and 4 and half months older than me» Rory returned with a similar smirk.
– « You just needed to add about that half months, yeah?»
– « Absolutely right mister» they bargained while were going to get in the car. Both loved their little back-and-forths, they can go like this for all day long, but still have fun with it and don't fight.
– « Oh, wow, your car is already ready, like nothing happened»
– « Yeah, miracles of having money))»
– « What's our plans for the weekend Mr Huntzberger? »
– « Well Ms Gilmore, tonight we are going to have a cultural programme, at first we are going home, for you to see all the changes, next we are having a little lunch, after which I am sending you at spa for 3 hours, next you madame have to prepare yourself for a musical evening, at first I thought about going in theatre, but next I saw that today is going to be musical «Jersey Boys» in San Francisco, so that's our destination and after it dinner obviously.»
– « Jersey Boys, Logan are you serious? Jersey Boys?» Rory literally screamed excitedly.
– « Yeah, I remember that you said, that you like it and would like to see it, am I right?»
– « Ohhh, Yes! Of course you are right!» Rory said emotionally, but calmed in next season « Wait! Logan I don't have amnesia, I perfectly know that you are not a fan of theatres, musicals, operas and e.t, you are just going to fell asleep, AGAIN!»
– « At first I am not a fan of everything, but there are plays which I can perfectly watch and I promise to you Ace, that today I am going to watch whole performance with you, from the beginning till the end and will not fall asleep» Logan said confidently.
– « Okeydoke, I believe you sir and for your own sake, better keep this promise.»
And he actually kept it, Rory was so relaxed after spa time and so excited for this evening, yeap it wasn't her birthday yet, but it was the best ever preparation for it. Logan bought tickets in VIP box, so they were alone watching the show, without distractions, Rory was singing alone to every song and Logan accompanied her a few times. After they went in an amazing Italian restaurant and spend their evening in peaceful conversation. But when they were back at home, Rory noticed that Logan is a little bit nervous, she had no idea what's going on, but wanted to get answers.
– « Honey, is everything alright?» she asked carefully.
– « Yeah, yeah, why you are asking?»
– « I don't know, you seemed to be a little distracted for last 30 minutes»
– « Ror, actually I wanted to talk to you about something» Rory thought at this statement were that "well, he called me by my name, that's must be a serious conversation".
– « Logan, you know that you can speak to me about anything, right?»
– « Yeah, I know, I am just anxious about this conversation, but I know that we can't delay it anymore» Logan said whiled kept his breath and Rory just nodded.
– « Ace, what are you thinking about marriage?» he said and looked in his most favourite eyes in the world.
– « What do you mean?»
– « What are you thinking about whole marriage system and why do people get married?»
– « Okey, I am understanding what do you mean, Logan before my 16th I have never seen how a good marriage works, both of my parents where running from commitment like this for their whole life and either they were running away a day before wedding or their fiance or wife were running away before wedding or after marriage and a child. And one time when they tried to act like committed adults, they eloped in France while we had our Christmas in London and a few months later they decided to divorce and their divorce is still in the process. And honestly I am still a little bit offended because of the fact they I may missed my mom's first and last marriage and my dads last one, because of I am going to listen them to rant about their fears of marriage till the end of my days. And when you proposed to me, my panic came from my thoughts about their disaster and next instead of remembering all the good things about my grandparents marriage, I remembered the fact that grandpa was secretly meeting wit his ex girlfriend for a dinner for last 40 years and grandma had no idea about that! And next I remembered that Jackson lied to Sookie about his vasectomy and got her pregnant for third time and while yes she now is happy with her new baby, it was an awful selfish move! And Lane and Zack? She actually got pregnant at her first time and after that was afraid as hell of sex and Zack just went on with it, like it was okey to not to try help to your wife with her mental health problems and don't even make me to start about your parents marriage or your grandparents. I, I just, just one of the reasons of me saying no, one of the biggest reason, was that I was afraid that we can loose what we have, because of we had rough times in our relationship, whole fall out because of dinner with Jess, next bridesmaids story at Honor wedding and I just thought that maybe staying as girlfriend and boyfriend would be easier for us» Rory rambled while was trying to keep her tears.
– « Oh my Goodness, Ace we need to stop hiding our emotions from each other. Youn know why I proposed? Because I was so damn fucking afraid to loose you, that one day you'll think that I am not ready for commitment and that I am not worth of waiting. I wanted and still want to spend my whole life with you, to have kids and grandkids with you, I can't imagine all of this with somebody else. And yes you are right I also had never seen a good example of marriage, my dad and mom are both cheating to eachother and are having a new affair every two months, my grandparents were in arranged marriage, they never loved eachother, respected? Yeah maybe and maybe even became friends, but still without love, I think that's why grandma tried to transfer all her love on her grandkids, to feel love back from us. And Honor? Well they are married for only year and half and by far are going without huge problems and I actually pray for their marriage to work. And Ace, I can assume you that problems like that are not going happen with us, I am not going to meet with my ex, because of I don't have one, remember? You are my first and only girlfriend, I am not going to force you into having children, it's your body and we are going to have that amount of kids, with which you will be comfortable and well we are definitely never are going to have Lanes and Zacks problem.» he chuckled and next seriously added « And I am definitely not going to bail from you before wedding day, therefore you can be the one to do so.» Logan finished quietly.
– « Why are you thinking like that?»
– « Ror, you are the one who said no once, I don't want you to feel forced to say yes next time and lately to understand that all of this is a huge mistake.»
– « Why are you thinking that I will feel forced?»
– « Well, you won't think like that?»
– « No.»
– « No?»
– « Nope, Logan you are the love of my life, 3 months without you made me to understand that I am ready to commit to you, ironically, in the beginning of our relationship, you were the one who was afraid of the commitment and how everybody though in the end of it I was the afraid one. But now, Logan, believe me, I know what I want and how I am going to act.»
– « So you are telling me, that next time when I'll propose to you, you are not going to take a day for thinking and that Pro/Con list for the decision is already made?» Logan asked hopefully
– « Yeah» she confirmed with a huge smile.
– « Ace, is this also a greenlight for a proposal?» she just nodded at this and kissed him. He lifted her up in his hands and walked towards their bedroom in their home. While they were undressing eachother, Rory was thinking that she'll finally be less stressful about their future and Logan was already thinking about proposals details.
It was 4 a.m when Rory got a traditional birthday talk from her mother, she actually was touched by the fact that her mother called, for last month they were slowly felling apart,but her mom still manage to keep up with their traditions. Of course Rory wasn't a fan of this story is actually scared her,but it was moms favourite tradition.
At her birthday Rory got a breakfast in bed and a few rare editions of her favourite books. They went in San Francisco and had a day full of amazing activities.
