The Plan was working perfectly so far the earth Dinosaur summons used mole attack to get into Caesar's castle. However Those dam gorilla horse things were everywhere. Now it was a mammal it had fur and armor, and fire powers meaning one thing, It was better at battling against the cold then them. Meaning while they had a horde of dinosaurs the problem was the dinosaurs weren't holding up well enough. The Armor shield them from cold yes, but they were still tropical birds for the most part. Right now Max had to summon out a random Lighting dinosaur on his activator. The reason Chomp couldn't take the cold anymore inside this ice castle. Zoe commented one thing while using metal wing, "this doesn't make since Ice buildings can hold heat in amazingly. Igloo need openings because of this, So why is it so cold in here!" She shivered next to her boyfriend.
Max said one thing, "This isn't an Igloo Zoe. An Igloo is a perfect dome with two openings this is a castle a mess of random shapes with many openings for heat to escape!" Zoe shivered beside him as he added one thing, " plus it's ice and stone. The rock doesn't have the same stats as ice. Cold Stone after all." Zoe nodded saying, "Why do you have to know this tropes?" She asked using nature's blessing through a random grass Dinosaur.
Angel held out her hand holding the gun form the hunting shop to take aim and fire on the guard summoning the beasts, "Loot the activators and their cards," She called out holding the hand gun as she fired on them, Shocking the d-team as they watched this. It was the end of the world and they saw Goma die, but this was different, This was human on human. This really hit it home the world is over, and is now a mess, sent back to the dark ages with all the rules their of.
Zoe looked away into Max's arms she buried her face, Max held her close. Rex did the same for Amy. Barbie was cradling Dexter to her chest as he cried. Ken was crying, "I Don't have emotional support boyfriend right now." Ken said as his Eoraptor card morphed form it's fire mode to it's water mode to use ocean panic. This wasn't willing each of Eoraptor's forms acted as a life, And the cold had taken the secret down to his final form.
Arco opened his mouth to Spit fire at a wall. Barbie watched her Iry use the water bullet now ice to smash it, "They have the right idea get outside and attack the walls and cave it in!" they said as they all ran together. Zoe said this as she did it, " I just want to save my family form this mad man, same as my boyfriend" She looked to Max, When Zoe got here her family was fine and dandy in hiding, unlike Aki, She saw what Max went through and knew she didn't want to go through it. "Come on!" they headed out every dinosaur using one random move to smash at the walls bring the castle down and the ash for black dinosaur or well prehsitoric animal cards turning to dust filled the air with screams of the people under it. The victory was short lived as the dinosaur cards all became cards, with Reese's limited production the D-team had to share the other cards. They were all out of cards now. They all collected. Some of the guys that did loot spare prehistoric beast cards tried to activate them on the enemy's actuators but nothing.
Our blonde boy rubbed his hair and panted seeing his breath, " The activators most be DNA locked. Only the owner of that thing can use it to summon one of their cards. ...they are worthless to us." Angel growled as she said, "Now he tells us!" She throw the worthless thing away and declared this, "Caesar is at the Pit now come on!" She said leading them through the villages street to a massive hole in the ground, a massive one, people in chains being forced to dig as they where whipped. Angel and some of the other adults Took aim and Fired down into the whole Shooting at the slave masters, Others running to pick the locks as they kids hanged back and waited for their cards to recharge.
They looked away hiding as Dexter said it, "All I wanted to do in life was wear a maid outfit and marry Barbie." his girlfriend said this, " I wanted us to wear matching wedding dresses." She held his hands as they nuzzled. Rex held Amy, "All I wanted was to belong...I am a changeling I didn't belong here, or Their, but I felt it here in Sanjo...now that's gone." he sighed saying, "My dad and Amy are the only things I have left that I feel like I belong." Amy held him and cuddled him sadly.
Max sighed kissing Zoe's head, "I just wanted to work up the courage to ask Zoe out without acting like a nervous Clown, Now I am here." Zoe snuggled holding him and said, "If it makes you feel better I wished I would have grown up and stopped getting star struck and would have asked you out. After all no matter how much we fought or argued we always came together we always had eachother's back, We were basically acting married already."
Ken crossed arms and signed, " And I wish I had someone to cuddle with while we are hiding from slave owners getting a cap busted in them, as we wag a rebellion war against the guy who wants to kill the Rainbow while digging for one of those spectral star things. I wanted that too. I also want to go back to Minmi's place and bath in her hotspring so I can get the feeling back in my body. Yet no one is here to cuddle wuddle snuggle me." he crossed arms, "Seventh wheel , I am the seventh wheel, This is worst then third wheeling. " Ken then heard a beep, "Oh they recharged come on boss battle time." he said leading the charge as they went down the stairs to the bottom of the pit, where they saw Foolscap holding the spectral yellow star. Caesar was beside him. Foolscap held it, " Now I bet you think I am going to summon some kind of prehistoric monster to fight you by giving it the power of this gem stone right?"
They nodded summoning their dinosaurs but Foolscap instead out the star in Caesar's back and fly off flapping his wings. The D-team blinked as Caesar's eyes glow and he held out his hands throwing around blasts of lighting that shocked all seven Dinosaurs, Note Eoraptor was in lighting mode and the dinosaurs where knocked back. The leader laughed as he held his hand up throwing lighting up making Foolscap fall out the sky and crash, where he went splat. The emperor held out his hands as our heroes recalled their dinosaurs and ran into the snow tunnels. he charged shooting lighting, "COME HERE NOW CHILDREN!"
Ken spoke up turning back. said one thing, " Look metal holding up the tunnel it's drawing the lighting, If the last star is anything to go buy It's a double edged blade, let's run for our lives while we wait for him to hurt himself!" the enemy growled in pain roaring. His body was glowing Veins lighting up form lighting burning them as he fired more and more blasts.
The D-team ran behind snow banks in the tunnels Zoe panting as she said, " We have been doing a lot of running and screaming so how the hell am I gaining weight?" everyone blinked, "What the scale says I gained five pounds." Max said, " That's just because I am not letting you do that stupid crash diet be a stick thing I love you too much to see you waste away." Note Zoe thought it was rude to refuse her boyfriend's cooking so Max did all the cooking. Barbie said one thing, "Now That's how you know it's true love if he tells you to eat something you are too skinny woman." they jumped to avoid the next blast running. Amy commented, "And we talk about this while running form the guy throwing lighting bolts?"
Rex turned and said, "I think we are desensitized at this point I mean worlds ending, super chicken fighting, the butler did it, Now we here. At this point I think we are too messed up to care about danger anymore... Dam we are really broken?" The reply from the red headed drag queen was to say, " I know right? Too bad therapist are the first ones to go in dooms day or anything happens." Caesar roared in pain firing more lighting as it sparkled off him. They Kept running and running till they heard the scream and turned back, he fell over looking like he was dead. but they sat down and waited to make sure.
the boys even pulled out a deck of playing cards to play Go fish, While the girls took turns brushing eachother's hairs till Angel came in and looked, "You waiting to see?" They nodded as the trans-woman ripped the spectral star out of the villains back, "well It's ours now, Reese will move the D-lab stuff to Minmi's by dog sled, after that we are melting down and removing this snow and the ice villages and getting the city below it running again, on steam punk." The kid's smiled happily as they left the tunnels.
Once out Zoe hugged Big Sugar and little Sugar. Zoe smiled in their arms. Big Sugar cried holding her, and said, "I have dreamed of holding my daughter for so long, now look at you, All grown up." he said with a bitter sweet smile, he missed everything, and now there was nothing left, their was no teenage years in days end. Their was no mall for her to go hang out with friends at, no places to go on dates with her boyfriend, no school to go to and dances to worry about, Their was none of that anymore. Zoe's childhood had ended as she needs to survive. Big Sugar looked to Max smiling at them. That boy maybe boyfriend but with out church's and court houses to rule marriage or governments to enforce anything, he was more or less her husband right now. he knew Zoe would come to this and start calling him that soon.
Big Sugar smiled and kissed her cheek, "Now you Take little Sugar with you, Daddy will come see you by Dog sled team soon, Trust me I want to go with you, I want to hear about all the things I missed, I want to know my daughter , but I have a job to do here, I have to help Sanjo rebuild, I have to do the right thing and it sucks." He kissed her forehead, "but remember this Zoe, Now that I found you, I won't let go again till I have too." Zoe smiled crying in the hug, now she had hugs form the Drakes but this felt different it felt better. She smiled into it hugging her dad and younger brother.
A few days later in the Earth ship Zoe was waking up in her room in it. She was still getting use to being warm again, Earthships thanks to how they where built they stay the temperature all year long. Minmi had many rooms made, but While Zoe thought her room she knew she had room mates. She was in a bunk bed, this room had She Amy, Lily And Barbie had to share. The boys shared the room across the halls. The room across the hall had a roll out bed for Little Sugar. Zoe got up her hair a mess like her sister's in the morning as she rubbed her eyes, in her Pajamas she slept with socks on now like all of them because instinct for cold. She stretched and said, "Oh fucking God what hour is it?" she looked around no one around.
However she got up and opened the door and jumped red faced as their was Max, Who looked at her. Zoe was red, he was looking her up and down. She was in her Pajamas and she had bed head, not how you want your boyfriend to see you but Zoe said one thing, "So fucking cute!" he then pulled her into his strong warm arms, kissed her head and started brushing her hair down. Zoe was red and shaking her head a bit as this was sweet and embracing.
Down below Amy said one thing, "I should grow my hair out to have Rex brush mine." Barbie said one thing, "yeah Good thinking I love brushing Dexter's hair." Ken rolled his eyes, "I thought Max how to brush hair..." Ken had a cup of coffee, "It's Seven in the morning and I can already hear their cuteness. Anyhow While Max snuggles and cuddles Zoe for awhile we have extra time to set up, After all birthdays aren't going to be the way they use to be, And Big Sugar can finally show up." Little Sugar who was in a copy of his big sisters outfit said one thing, " yeah."
Minmi came in talking with Doctor Owen. Rex said one thing watching this, " Should I start calling Max Cousin now?" Lily in a thick artic coat that covered her feet up mittens ear muffs and scarf said, "I don't know but I do know Big Sugar is coming by Dog sled so I had doggies to pet beside Little, Bye bye maybe cousin Rex."
