Be-boop here's more and loving this series but this chapter was supposed to be a Valentine's one but then later last night, I inagined how Nebula would react if she met the Rocket variants so that's what I went with plus my friend said that Rock-e and Rocket get alomg and like brothers
When Nebula checks in on Rocket, she ends up meeting Rocke his J-pop variant who is the one that inspired Rocket to start knitting for the sake of his mental health and he and Rocket are knitting their patches onto a family tapestry they and the other Rocket variants are making but Nebula is very impressed by her furboy's skills and even gets in on it.
Who's he talking to, and why do they sound funny, what the heck, anotherhim with pink shades, okay I must be spacey right now.
It was just a typical night and Nebula was still awake but was making hot cocoa so had wanted to ask Rocket if he wanted some but had heard him talking to somebody so her curiousity and protective instincts were activating entering his room seeing another male of his species wearing pink shades, dressed like Lennon wearing fingerless-gloves seeing Rocket smirk at her reaction.
When he huhg out in the multiverse, he hung out with the other Rockets but kept this a secret knowing it would blow the others's minds but he could trust Nebula, they were best friends but also like brotherand sister seeing Rocke curious about her.
"Oh hey Nebs, this is Rocke, Rocke this is Nebula who I've told you about." Rocket told him.
"H-Hi, N-Nebula you're the one Rocket told us about, and see he's done more knitting." Rocke replied shyly.
"What do you mean by he told the others about me, and how do you know about his stress-relieving hobby." Nebula asked.
She noticed the pink-shade wearing male-tenuki had knitting needles in his paws which Had fingerless-gloves like Rocket also holding knitting needles but they looked like they were stitching a patch together seeing Rocke stitching the peace-sign making Nebula curious making Rocket smirk, knowing they needed to explain to her.
"What we're doijg here is adding our patches to a special project we and our inter-dimensional brothers are doijg makijg a family tapestry and the other Rockets added theirs, but Rocke and I wanted to make ours together let us show you." Rocket explained to her seeing her staring at the needles Rocke were using, they looked like porcupine quills making him grin.
"They're made from some of Piper's old quills and Piper's my soulmate like Lylla is Rocket's but it makes knitting specual plus what I stitched was the peace sign which symbolises pdace." he explained to her surprising her.
"Awwww that's actually very sweet, oh my Groot, Rocket did you addme in yours." she asked surprised.
She saw on Rocket's patch an image of him with her hugging,alomg with Groot and Lylla feeling choked-up feeling Rocket squeeze her hand explaining that like Groot and Lylla, she meant a lot to him, making her sniffle which Rocke found sweet getting an idea whispering ijto Rocket's ear seeing him nodding making Nebula curious.
"Would you like to learn how to knit, love." Rocke asked her, feeling more comfortable around her seeing her nodding.
She was sitting beside Rocket, as Rocke was helping her learn and she was good at it, seeing she wanted to make a patch giving Rocket an idea, they could start their own one seeing Rocke love that.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." they heard singing from outside making Rocke chuckle as he knew his Groot and Rocket's Groot were friends impressing Nebula knowing the others had questions about this.
"Why was there another Groot here, that was furry, and why were you guys smiling about." Starlord asked both Nebula and Rocket a while later after Rocke and his Groot had left but keeping what happened a secret but Mantis sensed happiness which surprised them but RJ knew his dad and Nebs had been knitting seeing Rocket nodding in reply liking that alibi as he hadn't told him about the other Rockets because that might be too much for his growing brain plus he'd ask questions or try to find one of him and he didn't want tomsee this.
"Pleading the fifth, as Shocket says, Casey too." Rocket told him seeing Nebula hiding the patch she'd started making for the idea she and Rocket were making because she didn't want Quill to make fun of her which Rocket understood giving Quill a scowl hearing Nebula giggle softly heading to her room putting the patch she'd started making while hanging out with Rocke and Rocket which had been nice and calming.
"I hope they got back to their home okay." she said meaning Rocke and his Groot.
She heard knockijg on her door knowing it was RJ and almost his bedtime going out to help Rocket calm the lil cub down so he wouldn't tire him out of energy noticing he seemed calm surprising her, guessing Rocke was very calming seeing RJ hugging them but holding onto their hands walking out of his bedroom, to have a bedtime snack.
"Can Nebs tell me a story, about younas a cub." RJ asked yawning.
"Yeah, sure honey, but you look sleepy, really sleepy." Rocket said.
"Uh-huh I was playing with Groot and his new friend." RJ replied.
