A/N Dialogue is a bitch to write. I'm trying my best to make sure it feels natural but it still drives me insane. Anyways Welcome to the newest chapter of Pokemon Omega Loud. This chapter will primarily focus on the Louds and how they've been since Lincoln left. We'll also get to see Lincoln and May's first Pokemon battle and will also discover who the third member of their group will be. So sit back, relax, and I hope you enjoy this newest chapter.

The past year wasn't great for the Louds. The morning after Lincoln had left, the Louds had descended down the stairs in search of breakfast when they found Lincoln's note. At first, none of the Louds believed that the letter was true. In fact, many thought Lincoln was just hiding out at Clyde's house, and that he was just trying to make them feel bad so that they'd stop ignoring him.

That belief was almost immediately tarnished when Rita called Clyde's parents and they informed the Louds that Lincoln hadn't been by their house in weeks, after Clyde came home roughed up the day of the video contest.

The Louds immediately grew concerned and tried contacting any and all people that Lincoln could have bunked at and found nothing. Lisa ran upstairs to her lab and found her tracking device in order to find Lincoln but found no trace of his tracking chip's signal.

Scared out of their minds they began searching for clues to where Lincoln could have gone, before Lisa decided to check the house's security feed.

When they watched the tapes from the previous night it was then they discovered that Lincoln had heard his sister's calling him a loser and his parents expressing disappointment in his lack of talent. When they saw the recording from Lincoln's room which showed him crying for hours afterwards, they all felt great shame at the sight of their distraught sibling/son.

They grew more concerned however when footage of Lincoln sneaking into Lisa and Lily's room played before them. Lisa immediately ran to her drawer and noticed that her dimensional watch was missing. She ran back to her computer and tried to pinpoint where Lincoln could have gone when she noticed a notification on her screen stating that the device had malfunctioned and been destroyed.

When the family realized that they had no way of finding Lincoln and that it was all their fault that he was gone, the entire family fell into a deep depression. Hoping to find comfort in their friends and relatives the Louds told the few people they could trust.

This did not go over well at all.

Rita's father was absolutely furious over the treatment his grandson had experienced and berated his daughter and son-in-law over their blatant favoritism of their daughters. He almost disowned the entire family but restrained himself and told them to find his grandson no matter what.

Bobby distanced himself from Lori, stating that any person who could treat their sibling so horribly after a simple mistake was not someone he would normally associate himself with. After Lori begged him not to break up with her, he told her he wouldn't but that he could no longer trust her as a person and that they should spend some time apart.

Fiona and Miguel couldn't believe that someone as sweet and loving as Leni could be so callous. While they didn't end their friendship with her, mostly due to them knowing how naive Leni could be, they couldn't look at her the same way.

Luna was almost kicked out of her band after she told them that Lincoln had run away. However, after careful consideration, they decided not to do so but that until Lincoln was found Luna would have to do all roadie duties from then on.

Luan and Lynn became the most depressed of the sisters as they felt that they had the biggest part in causing Lincoln to run away. Luan felt none of this would have happened if she hadn't given Lincoln the idea to make and post a funny video, and Lynn felt just as bad since it was clearly her comment about being a loser that broke the camel's back.

For all outward appearances, Lucy seemed to be the least affected but inside she was a wreck. She was very close to Lincoln and knowing that she had a part in making him run away was eating her up inside. In a form of self punishment she refused to do anything related to vampires and even moved her bangs away from her eyes.

The twins both had different reactions to Lincoln's disappearance. Lola became a nervous wreck without her pageant coach and after losing a few pageants, decided to hang up her crown until Lincoln was located.

Lana on the other hand, distanced herself from the other sisters, as she had been the one who was most against shunning Lincoln. She was still depressed however, as she felt that if she had pushed back harder maybe Lincoln would still be there.

Lisa began to forgo sleep as well as food as she immediately threw herself into finding a way to locate her missing sibling. She had to rebuild a new dimensional watch from scrap as well as devise a method to locate her tracking chips across multiple dimensions. With an infinite amount of universes to scan this was a daunting task but she was determined to see it through.

Lily was the only one of the family to come out relatively ok, since being a baby, she was too young to really notice any change to her surroundings. Sure she noticed someone was missing but it didn't really register much with her.

With Lincoln gone and everyone depressed the family sort of shut down. Now after a whole year without seemingly any progress the family were no longer as enthusiastic about their hobbies and interests. Nothing mattered more than finding Lincoln and bringing him home.

Currently, Lisa was sitting in front of her computer as streams of data representing different universes flashed across the screen.

"The odds may be against me," she thought "But I won't rest until you are found brother."

Heading downstairs in search of something to drink, she was met with the now normal sight of her family spread out on the couch and nearby chairs just sitting and doing nothing. The tv was on a random channel with no one paying any attention to it.

Each sister and parent perked up a bit when they noticed Lisa enter the room, but with a small shake of her head, they all fell back into depression.

Heading to the fridge, Lisa took a soda from within and took a long sip of her drink. As she relished the feeling of the cold drink going down her dry throat, she felt a small vibration from her phone. Thinking it was a message from a colleague, Lisa barely glanced at the screen, when her eyes widened and she started choking on her drink.

On her screen was a notification.

SUBJECT: LINCOLN LOUD LOCATED

Gasping for breath Lisa stumbled into the living room, coughing the entire way.

Upon seeing the girl in such a state, the family grew concerned until Lisa managed to stop coughing long enough to speak.

"I've *cough* *cough* found *cough* him!" she gasped.

Excitement swept through the family as they all ran to Lisa's room. There on the screen was the same notification that had appeared on Lisa's phone. Immediately everyone began talking at once, each vying for attention before Lisa took an air horn out of her drawer and pressed the button. Everyone screamed in shock before falling silent as Lisa sat on her chair.

"Let me see…" she said, "It looks like Lincoln was located in dimension PKMN-ORAS."

"Is he okay?" Rita asked.

"I'm not sure but all data on the dimension he's in indicates a very low threat level as well as the presence of other homo sapiens sapiens, street name: humans."

"Well, how soon can you bring him back?" questioned Lori.

"Unfortunately without the original dimensional watch I can't bring Lincoln back on his own."

Before anyone could express their disappointment Lisa continued.

"However, after building an all new watch, we can send someone to the other dimension to find Lincoln and then bring him back."

The family grew quiet. Who could they send to find Lincoln? They all had various obligations that they needed to attend to, and Lisa needed to stay behind in case something went wrong. Then a new thought entered their minds.

What if Lincoln was still upset with them? He had written in his letter that he was angry with how he had been treated and various reasons as to why he was angry with each individual family member.

As the Louds continued to deliberate on who to send, a raspy feminine voice spoke up.

"I'll go get him."

The family turned around. Standing by the doorway was the family handywoman.

"Sweety, you can't go, you're only 8 years old!" exclaimed Rita

"I HAVE to go," said Lana. "You read Lincoln's letter, he's least angry at me because I stood up for him when everyone else was calling him a loser."

Tears began to fill Lana's eyes as she continued. "If I had just fought harder, Lincoln probably wouldn't have left."

Rita was still doubtful. "Honey I get that, but you're too young."

"Now hold on hon, maybe Lana has a point." said Lynn Sr.

"WHAT?!"

"Think about it. If Lincoln is still angry with us he'll be less likely to listen to us and want to return home. However if we send the one person he's least angry at he'll be more likely to cooperate."

Rita frowned in apprehension. "I still don't know…"

Lana walked up to her mother and looked into her eyes.

"Please mom."

Rita could feel her resistance failing. With a sign and a shake of her head she relented.

"Okay. But I want you to be careful and stay out of trouble, do you hear me?"

With a grin on her face, and a loud cheer Lana ran to go pack her bag. The rest of the family left in order to help gather supplies. Lisa, however, stayed behind. As she looked at her computer screen, her thoughts went back to her missing sibling.

"I hope you are safe, dear brother." she said.

"Torchic, dodge and use scratch!" yelled Lincoln.

The Poochyena ran at full force at Torchic, but at the last second, the Chick Pokemon, dashed to the left and using one of its feet, slashed at the Poochyena's face. The Bite Pokemon, yelped in pain, now sporting three red claw scratch marks on its face.

Just a short distance away, May and Mudkip were busy dealing with the second Poochyena.

"Mudkip use growl, then hit it with tackle!" she cried.

Mudkip opened its mouth and gave out a low pitched growling noise, intimidating the Poochyena and lowering its attack. Before the Poochyena could regain its senses, Mudkip ran full force at the dog pokemon and hit it with a full body tackle.

Both Poochyena were breathing heavily now, clearly weakened by the trainer's attacks. But they still wouldn't back down. Both Pokemon gave out long piercing howls, psyching themselves up and raising their attack strength.

Lincoln and May looked at each other and each gave a nod at the other. It was time to finish this!

"Torchic!/Mudkip!" they cried.

"Finish it with another scratch/tackle attack!"

Both Pokemon charged at the opposing Poochyena and leapt forward hitting them with as much strength as they could. Both attacks hit their marks, knocking the Poochyena backwards and sending them into unconsciousness.

With a cheer, Lincoln and May ran and hugged each other, congratulating one another for a successful battle. They turned back to their new Pokemon and were surprised to see that Mudkip had immediately gone to sleep while Torchic was shaking its little rear end in what was clearly a victory dance.

When Torchic saw the two trainers watching it in stunned silence, it gave several chirps of victory before running to Lincoln and jumping into his arms.

"Friendly little guy ain't ya?" he said.

"Actually, that Torchic is a girl," said a voice. " and that Mudkip is a boy."

Both trainers jumped in surprise. They had completely forgotten about Professor Birch!

The older man was making his way to the two, giving the unconscious Poochyena a wide berth.

"Thank Arceus, you two found me when you did. Another minute and I would have been Poochyena chow!"

"It's no problem, Professor," said Lincoln.

"We're happy to help," said May.

At that moment, one of the Poochyena made a small yipping noise, indicating that it was waking up.

Looking nervous, Professor Birch looked at Lincoln and May.

"Maybe we should finish this back at the Lab."

Birch Research Laboratory

When the group made it back to the Professor's lab they made their way inside and headed towards the back of the Professor's research station.

"Now then, now that we're not in any immediate danger, you two are supposed to pick your starter Pokemon but considering how close you seem to be with the ones you battled with, would you like to keep them? Or would you rather pick a different one."

Both Lincoln and May looked at each other, then at the two Pokemon by their sides.

"You know what? I'm happy with my choice." said Lincoln.

"Me too," said May. "Mudkip seems like a great Pokemon to work with."

"In that case," said the Professor as he walked to his desk and took to devices from within one of the drawers. "Allow me to give you two, your Pokedexes."

He then handed the duo a small device that, to Lincoln, looked like a handheld gaming system.

Each taking one of the devices, Lincoln pointed his towards Torchic while May pointed hers at Mudkip.

Torchic, the Chick Pokemon, female. Torchic sticks with its Trainer, following behind with unsteady steps. This Pokémon breathes fire of over 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, including fireballs that leave the foe scorched black. Said Lincoln's Pokedex.

Mudkip, the Mudfish Pokemon, male. The fin on Mudkip's head acts as highly sensitive radar. Using this fin to sense movements of water and air, this Pokémon can determine what is taking place around it without using its eyes. Said May's Pokedex.

Both trainers grinned at their new Pokemon, already excited for their future journey. Before too long the Professor regained their attention.

"Now then, would you like to give your Pokemon a nickname before you leave?"

May declined, saying that Mudkip was fine for now but she may change it later. As for Lincoln he sat and gave it some thought, what would the perfect name be for his new Torchic.

As he thought, he briefly remembered how Torchic seemed ready for battle and how it danced her little heart out when she won. This caused Lincoln to have flashbacks to when he and his family would have family game night. Every single time his sister, Lynn, would decimate her siblings and claim victory for herself.

"Lynner, Lynner, chicken dinner!" she would cheer, greatly annoying her siblings.

This caused Lincoln to snicker as he realized that Torchic acted just like Lynn AND was a chicken Pokemon.

The choice was obvious. Looking down at Torchic, Lincoln knelt down and stuck out his hand, giving it a small pat on the head.

"Lynn," he said. "Your name is Lynn."

With a smirk on her face, the newly named Lynn chirped her approval.

"Welcome to the team."

A/N So Lincoln has named his Torchic after his sister Lynn, and Lana has been revealed as the third member of their group. I had thought of having Wally be the third member but since he has his own story and development within the series and the primary focus of this one is Lincoln, I ultimately decided on one of Lincoln's sisters. Lana was of course, the perfect choice as she was the least upset with Lincoln and is an animal nut who would bond to Pokemon the easiest. She will fill the role of Max in the series but will have her own Pokemon. She won't compete in the league since she's too young nor will she do contests since their too much like pageants. She will however take part in any non-league sanctioned battles and competitions that appear during the story.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the latest chapter and I can't wait to continue this story. That being said, the next chapter won't be available for at least another two weeks or more as I am leaving for a family trip soon and won't have access to my computer while away. This will however allow me to properly flesh out the next chapter and get some ideas for later chapters as well.
