A/N Hey everyone and welcome to the newest chapter of Pokemon Omega Loud! Lincoln and Co. have finally made it to Dewford Town where Lincoln will challenge Brawly for his second badge while trying to mend his relationship with Lynn Jr.
Contrary to what I said at the end of the last chapter I have decided to put off Lincoln's battle with Brawly for a couple more chapters as I felt that him challenging Brawly now after just making it to Dewford was a bit too soon, so in the meantime the next couple chapters will focus on Lincoln and LJ's relationship, as well as LJ helping Lincoln to train for his battle so a repeat of Rustboro won't happen.
Anways I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed writing it!
The sun was shining brightly as the S.S. Wingull pulled into Dewford harbor. As the ship docked, Lincoln and Co. made their way down the ramp onto the docks, pausing to take a deep breath of the seaside air.
The trio then began to make their way into Dewford Town proper, taking in the scenery as they went.
For being a relatively large island, Dewford Town itself was actually quite small and peaceful. Even from the docks, they had a decent few of the town and could easily make out the Dewford Gym as well as the Pokemon Center.
"So what's the plan for today?" asked Lana.
"Well, after the whole Sharpedo thing, I think for today we should get our Pokemon checked out at the Pokemon Center and then spend the rest of the day relaxing." suggested May.
Lana nodded in agreement before glancing at her brother who looked deep in thought.
"Lincoln?" she asked, "What do you want to do?"
Lincoln started, brought out of his thoughts by his little sister's question. After taking a moment to consider their options he spoke.
"I agree with May." he said, "As much as I want to head to the Gym right away, our Pokemon are exhausted from the past few days."
He grinned as he looked out towards the sea, seeing large waves and loads of people surfing.
"Besides, I think it's time I reconciled with a certain Sporty sister."

The three trainers walked into the Pokemon Center, making their way to the front counter where they had their Pokemon checked in. While they waited, Lincoln took the opportunity to swap out Dratini for his new Carvanha and then swapped out Wrath for his extra Whismur.
With that the three trainers went into one of the back rooms where the Wonder Trade machine sat.
"You're doing another Wonder Trade?" asked Lana.
"Yeah, that's why I caught a second Whismur. I had wanted to get it done in Rustboro but after rescuing Peeko and talking to Mr. Stone, I kinda forgot about it."
Lincoln then placed the Pokeball containing Whismur onto the transfer pad, and after pressing the start button, stood back and watched.
On the screen an image of Whismur flew through a sea of stars before passing by another image that was in silhouette, hiding the incoming Pokemon from view.
Soon the transfer pad lit up as a blue pokeball with yellow markings materialized. Lincoln stepped forward and took the ball from the device.
"Okay, let's head outside and see what I got before calling LJ," he said.
Outside the center, the trio found a wide open space where Lincoln then tossed the ball into the air releasing his new Pokemon. As the light faded what came into view was a tall, black and white coloured, lemur looking Pokemon that was wearing half of a coconut on its head like a helmet. In its hands was another coconut that it was tossing between its hands like a ball.
Taking out his Pokedex Lincoln quickly scanned the new Pokemon.
Passimian, the Teamwork Pokemon, Female. This Pokémon battles by throwing hard berries. It won't obey a Trainer who throws Poké Balls without skill. Berries are its weapons as well as the staple of its diet. The one that can throw a berry the farthest is the boss of the troop.
Passimian looked around at its surroundings before its gaze fell upon her new trainer. Looking the white haired boy up and down, Passimian made a dismissive sound as it turned away from the boy.
Lincoln walked up to Passimian to introduce himself, but no matter what he tried the monkey Pokemon would turn away and ignore him.
After a few more minutes of this, Lincoln sighed in defeat before calling the Pokemon back to its ball.
I can already tell that training this Pokemon is going to be exhausting. He thought to himself.
Placing Passimian's ball on his belt, Lincoln and Co returned to the Pokemon Center to retrieve their Pokemon and to call their family back in Royal Woods.

In Royal Woods, the Loud family was busy, going about their usual activities when they suddenly heard a loud chiming sound coming from upstairs, confusing most of the residents before they realized what it meant.
The family rushed upstairs and headed towards Lisa's room where the young girl sat in wait, before she turned and answered the call from Lincoln.
The screen lit up to show Lincoln, Lana, and May with smiles on their faces.
"Hey guys!" said Lincoln, "We're just calling to let you know we made it to Dewford Town."
"We would have called sooner but we had a bit of a delay," said Lana.
The family looked confused before Rita asked the big question.
"What kind of delay?"
With that the two Loud siblings and May recounted their adventures from the past few days, such as their encounter with Team Aqua, as well as their run-in with the group of Sharpedo. Lincoln even showed his family Ralts' new form as Kirlia, which had Leni and Lola squealing in delight.
As they continued speaking Lincoln noticed LJ and Lola looking a bit apprehensive and they seemed to be avoiding making eye contact with their brother. After a few more minutes of talking, Lincoln finally addressed the two sisters.
"Lola, LJ, did something happen?" he asked, "You both look a little worried."
Before anything else could happen, Lola burst into tears and began apologizing profusely to her brother.
"I'm SORRY! I'm so SORRY!" she cried, "I didn't mean for it to happen! I just looked away for a second and-"
"Woah woah woah!" said Lincon, "What are you sorry about Lols? What happened?"
Lola was too distraught to answer so LJ ended up being the one to tell their brother what had happened with Skitty. As she spoke Lincoln looked on with a blank expression, worrying everyone and having them think that they had made a disastrous mistake by losing (however temporarily) one of his Pokemon.
"And that's when Clyde showed up carrying Skitty," said LJ as she finished speaking. Lincoln's eyes widened at the mention of his former friend.
"Wait Clyde found Skitty?" he asked, "So he knows about Pokemon now?"
LJ nodded, and the rest of the family became nervous as to what their brother/son would do next.
Lincoln sighed, "Look, I'm not happy that you guys lost Skitty, but I know it was an accident and that you guys took the initiative and went out looking for him, so I'm not mad."
The family both in Royal Woods and Dewford Town sighed in relief. Even May let out her own sigh as she had been worried her friend would do something he might later regret.
Luan stepped forward, "There's something else we have to mention."
Lincoln nodded, motioning for his sister to continue speaking.
Taking a deep breath, Luan quickly spoke.
"Clydewantstotalktoyou!" she said rapidly. Lincoln blinked in confusion as she had spoken so fast that he couldn't make out a single word she had said.
"Come again?" he asked. Luan hesitated then repeated what she had said in a slower, clearer, tone.
"Clyde wants to talk to you." she repeated. Lincoln's face went blank as he processed what his sister had told him, but after a moment he gave a resigned sigh before responding.
"Okay. Let him know that we can talk after I have my Gym Battle, alright?" he said. Then almost as an afterthought he continued, "In fact, tell him to let the rest of the gang know as well. Might as well get it all done in one go."
The family nodded and made a note to contact Clyde. Before long they got ready to end the call before Lincoln stopped and spoke again.
"Wait before we hang up I was wondering if LJ could come over for a couple days so we can try to reconnect."
LJ grinned, remembering what she had been told about Dewford Town before, how it was a major surf spot and how the Gym was built to model a fitness gym. Looking towards her parents for permission, LJ was practically bouncing with excitement. The two parents looked at each before smiling and giving their sport loving daughter a nod.
With a whoop of excitement, LJ quickly ran and packed a duffel bag with whatever she needed for the next two days. When she got back to Lisa's room the portal was already open and Lincoln was giving the family possession of Dratini and Whismur's Pokeballs while also taking back Skitty's much to Lola's disappointment. With a quick wave to her family, LJ stepped through the portal before it closed.
Rita and Lynn Sr. gave each other a quick look before leaving the room. Hopefully LJ wouldn't go too far overboard while trying to patch things up with her brother.

The first thing that LJ did when she stepped through the portal was drop her duffel bag and wrap her siblings in a great big hug. She was so glad to finally see her brother in person that she forgot to hold back her strength as she did so, causing both Lincoln and Lana to turn blue as they struggled to breath.
Thinking quickly, May addressed the sporty sister.
"If you keep squeezing them like that then this is going to be a short trip."
It wasn't until May got her attention that she realized what was happening and quickly let her siblings go with an embarrassed look.
"Sorry guys. It's just..I haven't seen you in person in so long." she muttered. Lincoln and Lana looked at each other before smiling and quickly wrapping their sister in a tight (but not too tight) embrace.
"It's fine LJ," said Lincoln.
"We missed you too." said Lana.
May smiled at the touching scene, glad that her friend was finally reconciling with his family.
Soon the three siblings finished their hug and brought LJ to the Pokemon Center so she could drop off her bags. While there the group changed into their swimsuits before taking a walk around town to show her the sights.
At one point they stopped at the Dewford Gym, where they learned that the Gym Leader had stepped out for the day to do some surfing but the fitness portion of the Gym was still open, prompting LJ to begin a workout routine with the Gym equipment. She said she wanted to get a quick workout in before heading to the beach. Of course, she also dragged Lincoln and his Pokemon into the routine citing that the exercise will make them stronger.
After about an hour, Lincoln and his Pokemon (except for Lynn and Passimian) were wiped out from the workout and sprawled out on the ground, gasping for air.
"Come on bro!" said LJ, "I thought after all this time you'd have built up more stamina than this."
Even though he was exhausted, Lincoln gave his sister a grin. "Even if I worked out for a decade, I don't think I'd ever be as strong as you."
LJ returned the grin as she reached down and helped her brother to his feet. "You know it."
As Lincoln began checking on his Pokemon, LJ looked at the two fighting types, giving them a once over as she evaluated how well they had done. Passimian in particular caught her eye, as it had followed her directions without issue and was even now looking the girl up and down and seemingly waiting for her next command.
After Lincoln checked on his Pokemon and found that aside from being tired from the workout, they all seemed fine, we recalled all of them to their Pokeballs.
Or he tried to at least.
For some reason whenever he tried to recall Passimian it would either dodge out of the way of the Pokeball's beam or it would just refuse to go into the ball.
After a few minutes of trying this Lincoln sighed in frustration as he gave up.
"Ugh why are you being so difficult!" He scolded the Pokemon.
"Here, let me try!" said LJ. Lincoln tossed the Pokeball in Lynn's direction but it fell far short of its goal. Passimian began howling with laughter as Lincoln looked at LJ with embarrassment.
Without saying a word LJ kicked the Pokeball into the air and began juggling it as if it were a soccer ball. Passimian stopped laughing and watched the sporty Loud sibling with rapt attention. The more tricks LJ did with the ball, the more Passimian watched and when she finally grabbed the ball in mid air and recalled the Teamwork Pokemon, it offered no resistance and went willingly into the ball.
Lynn then tossed the ball to a dumbstruck Lincoln, who just stared in amazement.
"That wasn't difficult at all," LJ said as she looked around the gym noticing that Lana and May were nowhere in sight.
"Hey where did the others go?" she asked. Lincoln looked around, also just realizing that the girls were gone.
"I think they went to the beach ahead of us. Probably didn't want to wait around doing nothing while we were exercising."
"Well let's go find them!" said LJ as she headed towards the Gym's entrance. Lincoln followed behind his sister looking between her and the Pokeball in his hands, an idea forming in his head.
A few minutes later the two siblings finally reached the beach, looking around for the other two girls. Soon they spotted May's distinctive headband and Lana's trademark hat near the shoreline and walked towards them.
As they walked they began to notice that May and Lana were having a fierce discussion about something that Lana was carrying in her arms. Soon they began to hear snippets of conversation.
"I don't think you should just take that, Lana!" said May, "Someone might be looking for it!"
"But it was just left all alone by the water!" said Lana, "If someone was looking after it it would have been in a nest or hidden somewhere not just out in the open!"
Lana and May's conversation ended when they noticed the rest of the group approaching. Lana quickly broke into a run towards her siblings, an excited look on her face.
"Guys! Look what I found!" she cried.
As she got closer both siblings noticed that she was carrying a large blue egg with red triangles shapes speckled all over it. While Lynn just looked confused, Lincoln was amazed at his sister's find.
Lana had found a Pokemon Egg!

A/N so Lincoln and LJ are repairing their relationship and Lana has found a Pokemon Egg! I'm also certain a lot of you will figure out what Pokemon the egg contains and what I'm planning between Lincoln, LJ, and Passimian but I couldn't resist. The next chapter will have our heroes enter a surfing competition where they meet Brawly for the first time. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I can't wait to see ya'll in the next one.
