A/N Hey All and welcome to the latest chapter of Pokemon Omega Loud! I want to start this chapter with a HUGE thank you to DragonEmperor999 who gave me the idea for this chapter! In this chapter Lincoln and LJ do some training in Granite Cave while Lana and May do some fishing.
Anyways I hope you like this one as much as I did writing it.
Daylight came bright and early for the residents of Dewford Town, and with it came a loud incessant banging on the door of Lincoln's room. The white haired boy groggily sat up, a look of confusion and frustration on his face. He unsteadily made his way to the door and opened it to find his athletic older sister jogging in place while waiting for him.
"LJ?" he asked, "What's going on?"
"Sup bro!" came her reply, "It's time for us to get some training in for your next battle!"
Lincoln quickly took a look at a nearby clock groaning when he noticed that the time was barely a quarter past five in the morning.
"LJ, it is way too early for this, come back in a couple hours."
Lincoln then made to shut the door but was knocked aside when LJ quickly pushed her way into the room, a firm look on her face.
"Nope. No can do little bro." she said as she stared at him with a look that brooked no argument. "You asked me to help you do some training before your match and the best way to do that is by getting an early start."
Lincoln groaned again. He knew that when LJ got like this there was no arguing with her. With a last lingering look at his bed, Lincoln turned back to his sister.
"Fine," he said, "Just give me a moment to get dressed and then we can go."
LJ grinned then left the room so that the boy could have some privacy. Lincoln quickly got out his bag and changed into a fresh pair of workout clothes, sighing the whole time.
At least Lana and May get to sleep in. he thought to himself.
Meanwhile in the room that Lana shared with LJ and May, the young girl was wide awake, staring at the Pokemon egg that sat in the makeshift nest she had made for it. When they had returned to their rooms after their day at the beach the little handywoman had immediately ran to check on her egg. Seeing that everything was fine, she had gotten ready for bed, but woke up every couple of hours to check that the egg was ok.
"Just you wait little guy," she said as she placed a hand on the egg, "You and I are gonna be the best of friends, I just know it."
The egg sat in silence, but Lana swore she could almost feel the faintest tapping coming from inside the egg.
-=o=-
This is torture! Lincoln thought to himself. I should never have agreed to this!
Currently the sole Loud boy was jogging along the beach north of Dewford Town with his Pokemon following close behind and LJ shouting out words of encouragement as she ran ahead of the group.
Out of all his Pokemon, Lynn and Passimian were the ones having the easiest time with the routine, while Kirlia, Lola II, and Joltik struggled to keep pace. The only one not jogging was Carvanha who was swimming along in the nearby surf, but was still keeping up with the group.
"C'mon slowpokes!" shouted LJ, "We're almost there!"
Indeed, when Lincoln looked past his sister in the direction they were running he could make out a small rocky hill, with a cave opening in the base.
Granite Cave. A place where trainers could battle against the various Pokemon within in preparation to take on the Dewford Gym. Heck, even Brawly occasionally did some training there whenever he had a slow day.
Soon the two siblings and team of Pokemon made it to the hill and stood before the entrance to Granite Cave. LJ took the time while Lincoln and his Pokemon caught their breaths to do some stretches. Once again the young girl's eyes drifted to the two fighting type Pokemon who looked satisfied with their warm up and wanted more.
Eventually Lincoln and his Pokemon managed to recover from their lack of breath and he and LJ made their way into the cave.
"So what's the deal with this cave anyways?" asked LJ
"There are some strong rock and steel type Pokemon living in this cave that would make good opponents for my Pokemon to train against." came his reply.
LJ thought for a bit, trying to remember what Lincoln had told her and their family about Pokemon types and their weaknesses.
"So what is your strategy for Brawly?" she asked.
Lincoln turned to look at her before smiling and continuing on their path through the cave.
"Well Brawly specializes in fighting type Pokemon which have a weakness to Psychic, Flying, and Fairy types so my primary mode of attack will be Kirlia, and then probably Lynn as she is my strongest Pokemon."
LJ turned around to look at the aforementioned Pokemon, noticing that Lynn was looking quite pumped up and excited for the match while Kirlia seemed to be distracted by the movement of Passimian's tail as they walked.
Kinda reminds me of Leni, thought LJ as they continued walking.
Eventually the two siblings came upon a fork in the path. One side led deeper into the cavern but the other side was blocked by a large group of people in explorers clothing. Curious, Lincoln walked to the edge of the group and asked one of the people what was going on.
"A new cavern was recently discovered with a major archeological discovery!" said the man, "All these people are waiting for a chance to see what's been unearthed!"
Looking back at the rest of the group the man continued.
"By the looks of things, it probably won't clear up until sometime tomorrow morning, so if you want to see it for yourself you'll probably have to wait until then."
Saying their goodbyes, Lincoln and LJ made their way down the remaining path, heading deeper into the cave.

While Lincoln and LJ were busy with Lincoln's training, Lana and May decided to spend their day doing some fishing by the shoreline. The two decided to park themselves at a part of the beach within sight of Granite Cave, just in case they needed to help Lincoln and LJ, and soon they were sitting quietly with their lines in the water.
While they waited for something to bite, Lana would routinely check on her egg, which she had brought with them in order to keep a close eye on it.
After a few minutes, the two girls began to discuss random topics, eventually landing on May's plans for her next contest.
"Unless I manage to find more Pokemon for my team, I'll probably just do something similar to my last contest," said May. "Although, I would like to try getting Skitty ready to perform before then but that might be…"
"Difficult?" said Lana.
"Exactly!" exclaimed May. "I love Skitty but she's definitely a handful.
Before they could continue their conversation, Lana felt a tug on her line. Quickly bracing herself, Lana began to reel in her catch, gritting her teeth as whatever was on the line fought back.
After a few moments of fighting to reel in whatever had gotten hooked, the two girls could make out a shape moving towards the shore when, with a great big splash, a large golden fish Pokemon with yellow fins and two long white whiskers on its cheeks, broke the water's surface and began flopping around on the beach.
"Oh, you caught a Magikarp!" said May. "And it looks like it's a Shiny one!"
Quickly taking out her PokeNav, Lana scanned the new Pokemon.
Magikarp, the Fish Pokemon, Female. Magikarp is a pathetic excuse for a Pokémon that is only capable of flopping and splashing. This behavior prompted scientists to undertake research into it.
Lana frowned after hearing Magikarp's Pokedex entry.
"Well that's not very nice." she said, "I'm sure if it's given enough love and training it'll become a very strong Pokemon."
Hearing what she said, the Magikarp stopped flopping around and fixed its watery eyes on the young girl. Doing its best to move around without water, Magikarp made its way towards Lana and began making some small hopping motions when it reached her.
Lana smiled, looking down at the goldfish Pokemon at her feet.
"Would you like to come with me and show everyone how wrong they are?" she asked.
Magikarp began hopping up and down excitedly and when Lana brought out a Pokeball and held it out, Magikarp allowed itself to be caught with zero issues. Once it had locked, the Pokeball vanished as it went to storage, with Lana making a mental note to retrieve it when she had a chance.
It was then that the two girls noticed that May's fishing rod had also caught something and as quick as she could, May grabbed onto her rod and began to reel in her catch, Lana cheering the whole time.
Unbeknownst to the two girls, a pair of black ringed eyes within a pale white face, watched from the nearby treeline appearing to be very interested in the red clad trainer.

"Lynn use Double Kick!" cried Lincoln.
The fire type quickly leapt into the air, delivering a devastating set of kicks to her rocky opponent. The Geodude went flying into a nearby wall, causing a small crater to form. As it struggled to rise and continue fighting it was suddenly struck by a Pokeball flung by the white haired trainer. The Pokeball wiggled a few times before locking in place and vanishing into storage.
"Phew." said Lincoln as he recalled his Pokemon. "That Geodude was pretty strong."
"Yeah but not strong enough for Lynn!" said LJ. "After all, there's a reason she's named after me, right?"
Lincoln froze in place, not quite meeting his sister's eyes.
"Umm..yeah right." he said hesitantly.
Before LJ could respond, Lincoln quickly changed the subject.
"So alongside that Geodude, I've also caught a Sableye (That'll make Lucy happy) and a Mawile."
"Are they any good?" asked LJ. "Can you use them against Brawly?"
"Well all Pokemon can be good based on their training but against Brawly the best ones would be Sableye and Mawile." said Lincoln, "But since I just caught them I'll stick with the ones I already have."
LJ nodded before going and inspecting the crater that Geodude made.
"I know Pokemon are pretty strong, but I didn't realize how easy it is for them to cause so much damage to their surroundings."
"Yeah, that's why you always have to be careful around any Pokemon." said Lincoln as he joined his sister.
"Even the weakest Pokemon can cause some serious harm if you aren't carefu-" Lincoln's sentence was cut off by a loud cracking sound coming from around his and LJ's feet. Looking down in alarm, both siblings went pale when they saw that the very ground they were standing on was beginning to crack and crumble away.
Before they could react, the floor finally broke beneath them, dropping the two into the darkness below.
They fell for what felt like hours but was actually only a couple minutes when their fall was suddenly cushioned by them falling into a body of water. Kicking their feet, the two siblings swam to the surface gasping for air.
Looking around they found that they had fallen into a small underground pond. Swimming to the nearby shore. Collapsing onto the rocky shore, the two siblings began to recollect what had just happened.
The tunnel they were in collapsed.
They fell into a lower level.
They had no idea how to get back up to a higher level
After taking a few moments to recover, Lincoln got to his feet and began to look around. The cavern they were in wasn't too big with the pond they had fallen into taking up the majority of the space. As he looked around Lincoln saw that there was a single tunnel leading away from the cavern.
Going back to his sister, Lincoln helped LJ to her feet. The sporty Loud looked up at the hole in the ceiling from where they fell.
"Well we're definitely not getting out that way." she said, "Not unless you have a Pokemon that can get us out?"
Lincoln thought for a moment before shaking his head.
"No. None of the Pokemon I have can get us up there." he pointed towards the nearby tunnel. "I think the only way out is if we go that way."
"You sure we won't get lost?" asked LJ
"Not really, but this cave system is used by a lot of people, so even if we do get lost someone should find us eventually."
"Then let's hurry and get out of here, I'm starting to get hungry." said LJ
The two siblings then began making their way down the tunnel, eager to get out of the cave and get something to eat.
-=o=-
After about an hour of walking Lincoln and LJ began to talk about various things to distract themselves with when they heard a small whimpering sound coming from up ahead.
Concerned, the two looked at each other before running towards where they heard the sound coming from.
After turning around a bend in the path the two siblings found what looked like a small, gray dinosaur-like Pokemon with red eyes that had become trapped under a bunch of boulders. With zero hesitation the two siblings began digging the Pokemon out from its rocky prison.
When they had finally managed to free the small Pokemon, it looked up at the two, before walking towards them and rubbing itself against their legs.
Lincoln took out his Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon while LJ kneeled down and began petting its head.
Aron, the Iron Armor Pokemon, Male. This Pokémon has a body of steel. To make its body, Aron feeds on iron ore that it digs from mountains. Occasionally, it causes major trouble by eating bridges and rails.
Looking over Lincoln's shoulder LJ noticed that the Aron in the picture had different colored eyes than the one before them.
"Hey, how come their eyes are different?" she asked.
"It's probably shiny," said Lincoln. When LJ just looked at him with a confused expression, Lincoln then proceeded to explain what shiny Pokemon are.
While they spoke the Aron continued to rub against their legs in affection. After Lincoln finished his explanation, LJ looked down at the Aron. Turning back to Lincoln she motioned with her hand towards the Pokemon.
"Do you think it might know a way out?" she asked.
"Only one way to find out," said Lincoln. Kneeling down to address the Aron, Lincoln got the small Pokemon's attention.
"Hey little guy," he began, "We're a bit lost. Do you know of any way we can get out of here?"
The Aron looked at him for a moment before nodding its head. Turning to run down the tunnel, the Aron ran a little ways down the tunnel before turning its head to look back at the two and motioning for them to follow.
The two siblings looked at each other before shrugging and following after the steel type Pokemon.
-=o=-
After another hour of walking the Aron led the two into a large spacious cavern. The two could see another tunnel leading upwards on the other side of the cavern, as well as some signs that humans were nearby such as discarded tools and the occasional piece of electrical wiring.
Smiling broadly the siblings thanked the Aron and began making their way through the cavern. They had only gone two steps when a low rumbling sound came from all around them. Freezing in place Lincoln and LJ looked around in alarm as dozens of Aron began making their way into the cavern from various holes around the area.
Soon the two humans were absolutely surrounded by the horde of Aron. The siblings gulped in unison and stood back to back when they noticed that each and every one of the steel type Pokemon surrounding them looked absolutely pissed.
"Umm hey guys…" said Lincoln nervously, "We're just passing through…we're not going to harm you or anything."
"I don't think they're listening bro…" whispered LJ
As one, the horde of Aron began to cause the surrounding area to break apart into hundreds of boulders of various sizes as they began to use a group rockslide attack.
The two siblings braced themselves as they waited for the boulders to fly towards them, when the red-eyed Aron that had helped them pushed its way into the group, barking at the other Aron.
Lincoln opened an eye that he hadn't realized that he had shut and watched as the red-eyed Aron began to communicate with the horde. Soon, a much larger Aron whose body showed the marks of numerous battles fought and won, stepped forward and began making aggressive noises while motioning to the two humans.
Lincoln and LJ watched as the two Aron argued back and forth for a few more minutes until the larger Aron begrudgingly moved to the side, barking at the remaining Aron who slowly moved aside, all while looking at the trainers with suspicion.
As the two siblings slowly moved forward, keeping a close eye on the Aron as they did so, LJ leaned towards her brother.
"What do you think has made them so ticked off?" she asked.
Lincoln looked around, immediately noticing that a lot of the cavern seemed to have suffered some form of damage such as several craters and broken stalagmites.
"I don't know but I think it has something to do with the damage done to their home." said Lincoln.
LJ nodded and made to say something else, when for the second time in less than ten minutes, another low rumbling noise echoed around the cavern. Looking towards the tunnel entrance they were making for, they were shocked to see a horde of Makuhita barreling into the cavern.
Immediately the Makuhita began destroying anything they came across. As Lincoln and LJ watched, the horde of Aron rushed forwards to protect their home as best they could.
So that's it! Thought Lincoln, The Makuhita have been attacking their home!
As they watched it was clear that the Aron stood no chance against the fighting type Pokemon. Several had already been knocked out, while those few that were still standing clearly wouldn't be standing for much longer.
And there in the center of the melee, stood the large Aron as it used its body to shield some of the smaller Aron.
LJ grit her teeth in rage. She had gotten used to the fact that Pokemon battled to gain territory or for fun, but it was as clear as day to her that this wasn't about territory or for fun.
This was outright bullying.
And she HATED bullies.
Quick as she could, LJ whirled around and grabbed a random Pokeball from Lincoln's belt and tossed it towards the battle.
Lincoln made to argue, but as soon as he saw the look in his sister's eyes, he knew that LJ was in no mood to argue. Deciding instead to help her quell the fighting Lincoln took out a pokeball of his own and tossed it towards the battle as well.
The two bright flashes emanating from the opening Pokeballs momentarily distracted the combatants, just in time for several of the Makuhita to begin levitating while enveloped in a deep purple glow. At the same time, several more Makuhita were sent flying by a rapidly thrown coconut that hit multiple targets at once.
The Aron turned to see who had come to their aid, to see the two humans standing with their Pokemon, a blue Kirlia in front of the white-haired male, and a Passimian in front of the red-clad female.
With renewed energy the Aron began to push back their attackers, aided in no small part by the trainers and their Pokemon. The Makuhita began to fall, one after the other, and soon the Aron began to feel hope blossom as they slowly began to reclaim their home.
That hope began to fade once more, when a loud crash sounded from above them and a large shape fell onto the battlefield, shaking the ground from its impact and kicking up a cloud of dust in the process.
Everything went quiet as everyone waited for the dust to settle. As the air began to clear, the Makuhita began to snicker and laugh with glee as an exceptionally large Pokemon was revealed. The Pokemon's upper body was beige, with a blue v-shaped crest on its head over angry looking eyes. Its lower body was blue with a yellow skirt like growth around the waist and tiny orange feet.
But the most striking feature of the new Pokemon was the large orange hands that it held at its sides.
As everyone looked in awe at the new arrival, Lincoln quickly took out his Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon.
Hariyama, The Arm Thrust Pokemon, Male. The evolved form of Makuhita, Hariyama practices its straight-arm slaps in any number of locations. One hit of this Pokémon's powerful, openhanded, straight-arm punches could snap a telephone pole in two.
Before anyone could react, the Hariyama gave a loud roar and swept its massive hands forward, creating a strong gust of air to fill the chamber. The Aron could do nothing against the attack and several of them went flying through the air.
"Kirlia! Quick catch them with Psychic!" shouted Lincoln. Kirlia's eyes began glowing with the telltale purple of her Psychic attack, causing all the airborne Aron to glow with a similar light as they were gently lowered to the ground.
Hariyama glared at the Psychic Type Pokemon, identifying it as the biggest threat. With speed that wasn't indicative of its size, the Hariyama bolted forwards raising its hand to swat away the Emotion Pokemon.
Just as it looked like the attack would go through, Hariyama was brought to a halt as a large coconut slammed into its face.
Standing between it and the Kirlia was a Passimian with a very angry look on its face. But the look on Passimians face paled in comparison to the face of the red-clad human female nearby.
All of the Makuhita began to shiver in fear at the rage across the human's face. Even Hariyama took two nervous steps back in trepidation.
Lincoln looked at his sister and immediately noticed how angry she was. He was positive that if she could pull it off she would have attacked Hariyama herself with how angry she was.
LJ looked at her brother.
"Linc, leave this chucklehead to me and Passimian. You go and get rid of the Makuhita."
Lincoln gulped and nodded before quickly informing LJ of what moves Passimian knew. He then went with Kirlia and began to battle the few Makuhita that remained.
Meanwhile LJ and Passimian stared down the Hariyama as rage blossomed through the sporty Loud girl. For long moments no one made a move before Hariyama once again bolted towards its opponent trying to take it out as quickly as possible.
"Passimian! Use Scary Face!" shouted LJ. Passimian immediately glared at the approaching Hariyama, causing it to slow its charge as terror rose like bile in its gut. But still it charged and just as it got within range, LJ shouted once more.
"Passimian! Use Focus Energy then go into Acrobatics!" shouted the Loud girl.
Passimian closed its eyes and took a deep breath focusing its mind. Just as Hariyama swung its hand, Passimian opened its eyes, its body glowing with a white light. Passimian then leapt high into the air, dodging Hariyama's attack, before falling at high speed and striking Hariyama repeatedly.
Before Hariyama could recover, LJ called out another attack.
"Use Take Down!" she cried. Passimian then ran at full force towards Hariyama, hitting it with a full body tackle. At first it looked like Hariyama's large size would withstand the attack, but to everyone's shock (especially Hariyama's) the small monkey Pokemon managed to lift Hariyama into the air, carrying it at full speed, until it was slammed into the wall of the cavern.
A large shockwave swept through the area, clearing away the debris and causing all combatants to look in the direction it came from.
To the Makuhita's horror, Hariyama lay on the ground, unmoving. Staring down at its opponent, Passimian began slamming its hands on its chest as it let out a loud battlecry. With screams of terror, the remaining Makuhita grabbed as many of their downed allies as possible, including Hariyama, and then bolted out of the cavern.
As they left the Aron let out a loud cheer of victory as Lincoln took the time to catch a Makuhita of his own. He then ran and tackled his sister in a large hug as Aron surrounded the two, cheering for their heroes.
"LJ you were amazing!" said Lincoln as he looked at his sister in a new light.
LJ just stood in awe for a moment before embracing her brother.
"That was AWESOME!" she cheered, "I get why you like being a trainer so much bro!"
A few minutes later, after Lincoln had used some potions to heal the Aron that were injured, the Aron then led the two humans through the tunnels until they reached the entrance to Granite Cave.
The Two siblings began to say their goodbyes to the Aron before the large lead Aron stepped forward with three younger Aron by its sides. It then made some barking noises towards the two.
Confused, the two siblings looked at each other, not sure of what the Aron wanted. But before they could think about it much longer a low raspy voice spoke from behind them.
"He wants you to take them with you so they can see the world." the voice rasped.
Turning around, Lincoln and LJ were shocked to see Lana and May walking towards them.
"What are you guys doing here?" asked LJ.
"Well you guys were taking a loooong time, so we came to see what was holding you up." said May while Lana nodded along.
Turning back to the Aron, Lincoln took out three Pokeballs and tossed them towards the Aron who wanted to go with them. As he did so another Pokeball fell from his bag and rolled towards the Aron. Before he could pick it up the red-eyed Aron that they had helped before ran forwards and jumped towards the Pokeball allowing itself to be captured as well.
Lincoln and Co. looked at the Pokeball for a moment before LJ looked at her brother.
"I think he wanted to go with you as well." Lincoln picked up the Pokeball with a smile on his face before turning to the lead Aron.
"I promise, that I'll take good care of them ok?" he said. The lead Aron nodded before turning and leading its pack back into Granite Cave.
About an hour later as the group was eating lunch, LJ told the two other girls what she and her brother had been through and the fight with the Makuhita. Lincoln still looked at his sister with pride.
"LJ was amazing," he said, "I wish you could have seen it."
Soon a thought came to Lincoln's head and he turned to Lana and May.
"By the way, did you guys catch anything while you were fishing?" he asked.
Lana and May both nodded.
"I caught a shiny Magikarp!" said Lana. "But you should see what May caught!"
May blushed before tossing out her Pokeball. After the light faded Lincoln smiled when he saw what May had caught. Sitting before the group was a brown, shabby-looking, fish Pokemon with blue fins.
"I caught a Feebas!" she said with a small smile. "I'm hoping to evolve it into a Milotic soon."
Lincoln smiled at his best friend, glad that she had found a new teammate. He then took out his Pokedex to look up Feebas's data.
Feebas, the Fish Pokemon, Female. Feeba's fins are ragged and tattered from the start of its life. Because of its shoddy appearance, this Pokémon is largely ignored. It is capable of living in both the sea and in rivers.
Soon the discussion drifted towards Lincoln's plans for his battle with Brawly while May spoke about what routines she could do with her new Feebas.
Eventually they finished their meals, cleaned up their mess, and began making their way back to Dewford Town. While they walked they were unaware of the small black and white form following behind them, doing its best to avoid being seen, all the while keeping it's eyes locked onto May as it followed them.

A/N So with that this chapter of Pokemon Omega Loud comes to an end. In the next chapter Lincoln will finally have his match with Brawly while the Louds introduce Lincoln's old friends to the Pokemon World. Meanwhile a mysterious Pokemon is keeping a close eye on May while they cheer on Lincoln. Who could it be?
Also I want to know, what Pokemon do you guys think the egg will hatch into? I already have a Pokemon planned but I really want to know what you guys think it will be.
