A/N Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, and welcome to a special Christmas chapter of Pokemon Omega Loud! This takes place several months into the future, so Pokemon and events might not have been caught or occurred yet in the main story. That being said I also tried to give each Loud and Casagrande a gift from the Pokemon World that fits in with their interests, but as you'll see, some of them were hard to come up with gifts that would suit them like Ronnie Anne's parents and grandfather, so I did what I could.
Anyways, expect some romance, teenage angst, and some Holiday cheer! As always I hope you like this one as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Twas the night before Christmas and the Loud House was a veritable storm of activity. You see, not only was it Christmas but it was also the Loud family's turn to host the annual Loud/Casagrande Holiday meetup. If that wasn't all, Lincoln and Lana would be returning home for the first time during their travels.
What made everything even more hectic was the added fact that May would be joining them for the holiday as they had learned that May had never celebrated Christmas before, due to Christmas not existing in the other dimension, they immediately invited the girl so she could celebrate with them. So in essence the whole house was in a tizzy as the family of thirteen would also be hosting another thirteen people, plus pets and Pokemon.
Currently Rita, Leni, and Leavanny were busy putting up the last of the Holiday decorations, while Luna and Toxtricity were in the dining room writing a new song for Christmas. All of the younger sisters, sans Lana of course, were sitting on the couch with some hot cocoa watching a Christmas movie. Meanwhile Lynn Sr. was hard at work in the kitchen preparing his half of the massive Loud/Casagrande feast, aided in no small part by Luan, Rattata, and Rotom.
Soon a loud knock sounded from the front door, momentarily bringing a pause to family's celebrations.
"That must be Lori with the Casagrandes!" said Rita as she ran to answer the door. As soon as the door had opened, Rita was almost bowled over as the Casagrande's pets, Sergio and Lalo, ran through the door.
"It's freezing out there!" cried Sergio as he flew in. Soon the rest of the Casagrandes and Lori followed.
"Lalo! Sergio! Ay dios mio!" cried Rosa, who then noticed Rita standing by the door as the Mexican family filed through. "Oh it's good to see you again Rita! Is Lynn in the kitchen?"
Rita nodded, which prompted Rosa to head to the kitchen to lend a hand. Moments later there was a loud scream as Rosa came face to face with Rattata.
"Eek! Una rata!" cried the Casagrande matriarch. Lynn Sr. quickly de-escalated the situation and the two chefs continued with their task.
Soon the Loud mother was embraced by Mrs. Santiago who was glad to see her friend again. After putting away their luggage, the Casagrandes split off into their own groups, locating the Loud family member they were closest to, with Carlota joining Leni and Leavanny. CJ, Carl, and Carlitos joining the younger girls on the couch, Hector helping Luna write her song, Maria, Arturo, and Frida chatting with Rita, and Carlos eagerly reading Lisa's notes on Pokemon while also making his own notes as he studied a few of the Pokemon being kept at the Loud House.
Bobby and Lori stood nearby watching the two families merge together, when their eyes landed on Ronnie Anne who was looking around in an almost nervous manner.
"Hey," she began, "Where are Lincoln and Lana?"
Most of the conversation died down as several of the Casagrande's also noticed the absence of the sole son and mechanic daughter.
No sooner had they quieted down then a shimmering green portal appeared in the center of the room. Stepping out were Lana, Lincoln, and May, their arms loaded with gifts. Behind them came Lynn the Blaziken and Leni the Gardevoir, who were also carrying some gifts, though in the Gardevoir's case using her psychic abilities to levitate the gifts to where they were supposed to go.
Lincoln smiled at the assembled family's, a happy grin on his face. "Hey everyone! Merry Christmas!"
The sole Loud son was soon tackled to the ground as the Loud sisters, sans Lana and Luan (who was in the kitchen), embraced him with a tight hug.
"LINKY!" yelled Leni.
"LITTLE BRO!" cried Luna.
"Okay okay!" laughed Lincoln, "It's good to see you guys too but come on! It hasn't been that long since we've last seen each other!"
"Yeah but it's the first time you've been home in over a year!" Said Luan as she came from the kitchen and joined the hug.
Lynn Sr. entered the room and joined his wife in welcoming home their son and daughter and also extending a warm welcome to May. As they did so Rotom came zipping out of the Kitchen and began hovering around Lori, who simply held out her phone, which Rotom soon zapped into.
"Hey Rotom!" said Lori, "Have you been helping dad out in the kitchen like I asked?"
An electronic staticky voice came from the device as Rotom answered. "Yes master! Zzt- Although there is still more work to be done!-Zzt"
"Well go ahead and finish helping, then come join us later, okay?" said Lori. Rotom quickly zipped out of Lori's phone and headed back to the kitchen, just as Lynn Sr. did as well.
Bobby shook his head in amusement. "I don't think I'll ever get used to this Pokemon stuff."
It was then that he noticed that Ronnie Anne was being unusually quiet and turned to see her standing off to the side, watching Lincoln as he and May carefully put their gifts under the tree. Ronnie Anne was looking at Lincoln with an annoyed look on her face, her arms crossed as she tapped her foot.
Oooh Nie-nie's jealous! He thought with amusement.
When Lincoln finished putting the gifts under the tree, he gave a long stretch before turning and saying hello to the Casagrandes, introducing them to May in the process. The girl soon found herself to be very popular with the Mexican family, with Carlos asking to see her Pokemon, Frida asking her to pose for a Christmas portrait, Leni, and Carlota whisking her away to try on clothes and Carl doing his best to hit on the poor girl, much to everyone's amusement (and Lori's intense relief as he wasn't hitting on her for once.) While May was busy, Lana took it upon herself to feed and do check ups on all of the family's Pokemon, just to see if they were being properly cared for.
Meanwhile Ronnie Anne was moving closer and closer towards Lincoln as he was busy chatting with her family and his sisters about recent events, although she did hear him mention something about something called Team Magma, or was it Team Aqua? Maybe both. He also took the time to show off his Badges from that Gym Challenge thing as well.
"Hey Ronnie Anne!" said the white haired teen when he finally noticed her. "It's been a while! How are you doing?"
Ronnie Anne smiled. She had been worried that Lincoln had changed after being in the other dimension for so long, but with just a few words she could tell that he was still the same dork as he always had been.
"I'm fine Lame-O." she said as she lightly punched his arm, becoming slightly surprised to see how solid he felt. Clearly wandering around during his adventure was doing wonders for him. "I was hoping we could hang out while you're here if you are interested? Maybe hit Gus' Games and Grub?"
"That sounds great!" said Lincoln as he flashed a charming smile. A grin began to grow on Ronnie Anne's face as well, but it faltered somewhat when Lincoln continued speaking.
"We can totally add that to the list while I'm showing May around town!" said the oblivious boy. A loud slapping sound reverberated through the house, causing Lincoln and Ronnie Anne to look around. Each and every one of the Loud Sisters had collectively face-palmed due to their brother's denseness.
Before anything else could happen, Lynn Sr. and Rosa called everyone to the dining room for dinner. A veritable stampede of Casagrandes and Louds stormed to the dining room as both families crammed together to enjoy dinner. As they took in the sight of the massive amount of food, which contained everything from tamales and enchiladas courtesy of Rosa, to more traditional fare like Lynnsagna and Beef Wel-Lincoln, the gathered families' mouths began to water profusely. Scattered throughout the table were various desserts and side dishes made from the Berries commonly found in the other dimension.
"Wow dad, Mrs. Casagrande, if this is what we're eating for Christmas Eve, I can't wait to see what we're eating tomorrow!" said Lincoln as he took a seat. He looked around and immediately noticed that May, Leni, and Carlota were nowhere in sight.
"Hey…has anyone seen May?" he asked in a concerned manner. He had a feeling the girl was already feeling overwhelmed from dealing with the two massive families.
"She's right here Linky!" said Leni's voice from the living room doorway. Lincoln turned around and his jaw dropped in shock as a blush formed on his face. Leni and Carlota were standing in the doorway, smug looks on their faces as they saw the expression on the boy's face.
Standing between the two fashionistas was May, a slightly embarrassed look on her face. The two older girls had dressed May in a short pink dress with a black lace trim and a black lace top. Her makeup had been done beautifully (courtesy of Lola) and her hair had been braided and tied up with her usual ribbon.
"Buh…buh…buh…" said Lincoln (and Carl but that was quickly silenced with a swift kick to the shin from Lola).
Lincoln stood back up and approached his friend, while Ronnie Anne glared angrily from her seat at the table.
"Well…What do you think?" said May as soon as Lincoln stood in front of her.
"You look…amazing!" said Lincoln causing May to blush even harder. The two teens stood staring at each other for a few moments before Luan spoke up.
"Oooooh!" she said as she pointed above Lincoln's and May's heads. "Someone's standing under the mistletoe!"
Lincoln and May looked up, May in confusion and Lincoln in embarrassment.
"What's that mean?" asked May as the Loud sisters began to chant
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" chanted the Louds.
"Um…when two people stand under mistletoe…" explained Lincoln, "tradition dictates that they…um…kiss."
May blushed at the boy's explanation. Egged on by the Loud sisters chanting, the two teens began to get closer and closer leaning towards each other. Meanwhile, Ronnie Annes face grew redder and redder, not from embarrassment but from anger. Just as May and Lincoln's lips were about to touch, something hit the two trainers with a loud splat.
Opening their eyes in shock, Lincoln and May found their heads covered in pieces of Lynnsagna and Ronnie Anne storming out of the room, though the kitchen, and out the backdoor, Bobby close on her heels. With the mood ruined, May and Lincoln went to quickly clean themselves up, while the rest of the two families began to mutter amongst themselves as they began eating.
Lincoln found himself in the kitchen doing his best to get red tomato sauce out of his hair.
I hope this doesn't stain. He thought to himself. I don't think I can pull off red hair.
When he finished, he headed to the fridge to get himself some water when he heard hushed yelling from outside the backdoor.
"Who does that floozy think she is, trying to kiss Lincoln like that!" said a voice that he recognized as Ronnie Anne.
"Ronnie Anne!" came Bobby's voice. "Don't call her that! May has done nothing wrong!"
Curious, Lincoln pressed his ear to the door in order to hear more.
"Oh come on Bobby!" cried Ronnie Anne, "You've seen her! She's clearly just sucking up to everyone to get closer to Lincoln!"
"How? By being nice? By interacting with Lincoln's family? News Flash sis, she's been close to Lincoln for over a year now. She doesn't have to get any closer to him."
Ronnie Anne remained silent as Bobby continued.
"Listen, for the entire year Lincoln was over in that other dimension he had ZERO contact with anyone from home, so of course he would get close with the first friend he made over there and honestly I can't blame him."
"Bobby?"
"I know you like him. You've liked him since the first time you shoved a sloppy joe down his pants. I watched as you two became closer and closer. But then we moved, and let's face it, you drifted apart."
"But I still like him Bobby!" muttered Ronnie Anne. Lincoln gulped at that statement. He had to admit that he did have a thing for Ronnie Anne, but her moving away and then him going to the other dimension, burned that feeling away and now he only saw Ronnie Anne as a good friend.
"I'm sure you do." came Bobby's voice. "But that's no excuse to be rude to someone who has only been nice to you. Give May a chance and I'm sure you'll become friends. Ok?"
Ronnie Anne grumbled out a reply that was too low for Lincoln to hear, but he began walking away from the door, his thoughts racing.
I think Ronnie Anne and I need to have a chat, thought Lincoln.

Early the next morning, Ronnie Anne found herself being woken up by someone shaking her lightly. Lifting her head from her pillow, she found herself in Lori and Leni's old room where she and Carlota bunked with the two oldest Loud siblings. Rolling over on her side she saw that Lincoln was the one disturbing her sleep. Before she could say anything, the white haired Loud held a finger to his lips, then motioned with his head for her to follow.
Curious, Ronnie Anne followed Lincoln out of the room and down the stairs where her parents, Grandparents, and Tio and Tia were sleeping on air mattresses. Lincoln quietly handed the girl her coat and snow boots then silently put on his own. Moving carefully the two teens quietly opened the front door and gently closed it behind them as they stepped outside.
The two then found themselves walking in the dark pre-dawn quiet. After a few moments of silence Ronnie Anne finally spoke up.
"Okay Lame-O" she began annoyed, "What's so important that you had us walking around in the freezing cold at five in the morning?"
Lincoln remained silent as they continued walking. The silence began to grate on Ronnie Anne's nerves and just as she was about to voice her anger, Lincoln finally spoke.
"Ronnie Anne." he began, "Do you hate May?"
Ronnie Anne stopped in shock as Lincoln turned to his longtime friend.
"What? No I don't hate her…she..just…um…" the girl stuttered.
Lincoln sighed before looking Ronnie Anne in the eyes.
"Look. I know you like me." he said, causing Ronnie Anne to blush in embarrassment. "I also know that that's the reason you've been standoffish and angry for most of the last few hours."
"It's..I'm...it's not fair." said Ronnie Anne. "I've been struggling with my feelings for you for a while now, especially after I moved to Great Lakes City. When I finally found the nerve to tell you how I truly felt, you had already disappeared."
Tears began to well up in the girl's eyes as she continued, "When Lisa finally found you, I was so excited. Finally, Finally I could tell you after so long and when we spoke after you won your gym battle, I could tell that there was something going on between you and May."
Lincoln embraced the girl as she finally began crying. "At first I thought that maybe I was just seeing things, that maybe I still had a chance. But then last night when you two were under the mistletoe, I realised that I had missed my shot."
Lincoln began doing his best to calm his friend down. Just like with his sisters he began rubbing Ronnie Anne's back as she cried.
"Listen, Ronnie Anne," he whispered, "While there isn't anything officially going on between us, I do like May. Probably even love her." Ronnie Anne cried harder at that. "But that doesn't mean that you aren't important to me too."
He pulled back a bit, looking Ronnie Anne in the eyes once more.
"You are one of my closest friends. Possibly even closer than Clyde after he abandoned me before I left, and I hate seeing you so upset. While I might not share your feelings, I still want you to be a part of my life. So please, please for my sake, could you please try to be nicer to May? I'm sure once you try to get to know her you'll find that she's a really great person."
Lincoln smiled at his friend. Ronnie Anne looked down for a bit as if weighing each piece of information the boy had given her. Eventually she looked up with a small smile on her face as she nodded.
"Fine. I'll give her a chance." said Ronnie Anne. "But if things don't work out between you two, then I want to be the first person you call okay?"
Lincoln grinned as he responded, "We'll see. Now let's get back to the house before anyone notices we're gone. Maybe we can get in a couple more hours of sleep before Lily and Carlitos wake everyone up."
The two friends laughed as they headed back toward the Loud House. Glad that things were okay between them.
-=o=-
The two made it home before anyone had woken up and quickly made their way to their respective beds. Both managed to get a bit more sleep before the usual Loud/Casagrande ruckus woke them up a couple hours later.
The combined Casagrande and Loud families congregated around the Loud House's living room where Lynn Sr, and Hector began handing out presents. When they had finished giving each other their presents from each family member, Lincoln and May stood up and began handing out presents from the other dimension.
For Lynn Sr. and Rosa they gave some cookbooks full of recipes utilizing the berries grown in the Pokemon World, including some berry pots so they could grow berries in their own kitchens. Rita and Lucy were given books about the various legends from the Pokemon World to use as references for their stories. LJ was given a pair of resistance braces (Macho Braces) so her and Passimian could do some strength training, while Luna was given some merch from the band Koffing and the Toxics.
Leni and Carlota were both given bolts of cloth made from Eldegoss cotton. Carlos and Lisa were both given books with the most up to date information about every Pokemon that had been discovered so far. Lola was given a custom made contest outfit designed by Lisia which she immediately ran and put on. CJ was given a replica of a famous Pirate ship from the other dimension while Carl was given a scale model of the Battle Subway from Unova.
Carlitos was given a stuffed Charizard which he loved, while Frida was given some paint harvested from a Pokemon known as Smeargle, and Luan was given some Pokemon themed pranking materials which got Lincoln some glares from the rest of the family. Bobby and Lori were given some Luvdisc inspired necklaces with the names of their significant others engraved on them. Hector, Maria, and Arturo were a bit harder to find gifts for but they were each given Pokemon themed items based off of their personal interests.
Soon the only people who hadn't received a gift were Lily and Ronnie Anne.
"Now we have some special presents for Lily and Ronnie Anne." said Lincoln as everyone began to wonder what they were going to get. Lincoln quickly handed each girl a small wrapped box, which Ronnie Anne looked at with confusion while Lily immediately tore into the package revealing a Pokeball with a heart-shaped design. The little girl squealed in excitement as she tossed the Pokeball revealing a small brown bear Pokemon with a crescent moon shaped pattern on its forehead.
Lily ran and hugged the new Pokemon which Lincoln said was called a Teddiursa, causing everyone in the room to gush at how adorable the two were.
Ronnie Anne looked at her box with slight suspicion when she saw that it was addressed to her from May. Quickly opening the box revealed a blue Pokeball with a yellow lightning bolt design that reminded her of her favorite wrestler La Tormenta.
Taking the Pokeball in her hand, Ronnie Anne tossed it out revealing a small red, white, and green bird-like Pokemon that immediately began switching between various heroic poses.
May walked up to the bewildered girl. "Lincoln told me that you like masked wrestling so I helped him search for a Pokemon that you would like that fit that description."
"What is it?" asked Ronnie Anne as she observed her new Pokemon.
"It's called a Hawlucha," said Lincoln as he joined the two girls. "We know how much you've been wanting a Pokemon since you saw me win my first badge."
Ronnie Anne continued to look at her new Hawlucha before turning and pulling Lincoln and May into a hug.
"Thank you both so much!" she said, before releasing the two and turning to address May.
"I also want to apologize for how I've been acting, May." she said, "I've been a jerk to you and you don't deserve that, especially since you've been keeping Lame-O here safe in my absence."
"It's no problem at all Ronnie Anne," said May. "Any friend of Lincoln's is a friend of mine."
The gathered family members smiled at the sight of the two girls patching things up. Soon all the presents had been handed out so everyone pitched in to get rid of all of the rubbish that had built up before Lynn Sr. and Rosa headed into the kitchen to get started on Christmas Dinner. While they worked, Lincoln proposed a Casagrandes vs. Louds snowball fight, which everyone agreed to.
A few minutes later, everyone was outside, laughing as they pelted each other with snowballs, glad to be spending the Holiday with their loved ones and friends.
Both new and old.
Merry Christmas!
