Crying of a Tree Monster Child
Laphicet is seen wearing his pajamas walking out of the bathroom right next to the boy's dorm after taking a leek, he let out a yawn feeling tired and walk back to his room going back to dream land.
Then just as he was about to reach for the doorknob of his room, Laphicet heard a strange noise coming from the trees though he thought it was some animals running around the woods, but the noise got louder and seem to be getting closer.
"Huh, hello!" Laphicet called out, but no respond.
"Hmm, must be my imagination." Laphicet shrugged.
Suddenly a loud eerie scream erupted from the forest and saw a glowing green figure scaring Laphicet and quickly made his way back into his room and hide under the futon trying to sleep and hopefully whatever is out there would go away, a few minutes everything became silent again though Laphicet struggle to sleep that night.
(Morning)
Laphicet groans as he is having a hard time keeping his eyes awake still thinking about the horrible scream from last night while trying to pay attention to today's lesson.
"Are you okay, Phi?" Velvet asked.
"Y-Yeah, I'm alright, just didn't had trouble sleeping that's all." Laphicet said yawing a bit.
"Wait, what did you called me?" Laphicet asked.
"Phi, I thought it would be nice to give you a nickname." Velvet explained.
"Oh, that's a very good name, thank you." Laphicet smiled as his innocent light nearly blinds Velvet.
"Sh-Shut up, it's not like I'm good at naming anyway." Velvet looked away hiding her blush.
(Lunchtime, Newspaper Club)
Laphicet and friends are sitting together in the newspaper clubroom because Gin had asked them to come over for something he needs to talk to them about, and from the sound of it he might be serious about it.
"Okay, Gin, what is it you want to talk to us about?" Magilou asked.
"Well, I'm pretty some of you might have heard a strange noise last night, a loud scream you could say." Gin mentioned.
"I definitely heard something like that last night, I was walking back to my room after a bathroom trip and it was so scary that I quickly in my futon." Laphicet explained.
"Yeah, now that you mentioned it, I did heard a scream that woke me up in the middle of the night." Tsukune said.
"Me too!" Moka gasped.
"I'm pretty sure most of the students have heard consider the whispers I've been hearing." Kurumu pointed out.
"This actually happened a few days ago and sometime after that." Gin informed.
"Do you think it could be one of the students?" Yukari wondered.
"But who would be up all-night making noises to disturb the students' sleep?" Velvet asked.
"I thought I heard coming from the woods and" Laphicet yawned and seem tiring.
"I think you're more worried about the scream than most of us, your eyes are looking a little red." Tsukune concerned for his little friend's health.
"I recommend going to the nurse's office, we can't have our little silver hero get all sluggish like this." Magilou suggested.
"I agree with Big Sis. We'll need you in tiptop shape in case something big happens." Yukari nodded.
"This nurse isn't going to try anything on him, is she?" Velvet asked glaring at the witch sisters.
"Don't worry, Nurse Medissa is a very nice woman who really cares about the students' health. I should know, I've been to her office when Big Sis took me to see her after the incident with the Lizardmen." Yukari assured with confident.
"Oh yeah, I went there to have my back treated too." Tsukune remembered.
"Then me and Kurumu gave you a smack on your injured as punishment for being so reckless." Moka mentioned puffing her cheeks making Tsukune chuckle.
"Okay, I'll go see her then." Laphicet said finishing his lunch.
"See you guys later." Laphicet said before leaving.
"Do you think she also met the students we fought before?" Tsukune asked.
"Where else do you think they would go after getting a fucking beaten from Velvet and Moka?" Magilou shrugged.
"Good point." Tsukune said.
(Nurse Medissa's Office)
Laphicet is in front of the door of Nurse Medissa's Office ready to meet the school nurse and hopefully have some eyedrops for his eyes.
"We need to think of something fast, the students are getting concern of the screaming last night and the school could be in danger."
"Eleanor?" Laphicet recognized the voice from inside the room.
"I'm really sorry, I didn't know if she went berserk at the time." A woman's voice apologized.
"It's okay, nobody seen her so we're in the clear despite what happened" Eleanor said.
"(I wonder what they could be talking about?)" Laphicet thought and decided to think about it later as he knocks on the door.
"Oh, huh… come in." The woman said.
Laphicet slides the door open seeing Eleanor is here with a woman.
"Laphicet, I wasn't expecting to see you here today." Eleanor surprised a little nervous.
"I was hoping to see the nurse about my eyes." Laphicet explained rubbing one eye with his hand.
"Well, young man, let see what's the problem is. I'm Medissa Mazā Sunēku, the school nurse." Medissa introduced herself.
Medissa is a beautiful woman with long blond hair that appears to be scaly and her eyes are different colors: the right eye is red while the left is black on the outside and yellow on the inside with black sharp dagger-shape pupil. She wears little revealing clothes of light-purple, violet, and black almost like a woman from church in a sexy way, her hands appear be to black with scales and purple fingernails, black shows with purple outward design as well, and a necklace of purple diamonds with black outline. Breasts sizes: H-cup.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Laphicet Collbrande." Laphicet introduced himself.
"Say, you didn't hear anything, did you?" Eleanor asked.
"N-No, I just got here!" Laphicet answered quickly.
"Oh, okay then I'll be going. Thank you for your time, Nurse Medissa." Eleanor bowed at the nurse and walk to the door.
"I'll be seeing you later, Laphicet." Eleanor smiled and left into the hallway.
"Make sure to go easy on those fish chips, they'll go right to your hips." Medissa teased.
"M-Medissa! Not to loud!" Eleanor embarrassed and powerwalk away as the nurse giggles.
Laphicet walk up to Medissa sitting on a chair.
"So, what seems to be the problem?" Medissa asked.
"Just my eyes, I've having trouble sleeping because of the screaming last night." Laphicet answered.
"I see, it doesn't too bad. I'll give you some eyedrop and make sure to get plenty of rest then your eyes should be fine." Medissa advised as she goes to the medicine shelf to get the eyedrop.
"…I… I think I saw someone in the forest last night." Laphicet said, Medissa stop herself.
"Oh, you did?" She wondered.
"I'm not sure, I was too scared to get a clear look, but I remember the figure being glowing green and I think it was a kid like me." Laphicet mentioned.
"I-It must've been some sort of illusion, from the exhaustion of waking up in the middle of the night." Medissa stated nervous though kept up her composure.
"You think so?" Laphicet asked.
"I'm sure of that, now look up at the ceiling so I can give you the eyedrop." Medissa instructed.
Laphicet did as she said and put felt the eyedrop splashing on his eyes stinging a bit, but it didn't hurt much and closes his eyes waiting for a few minutes until he can open them again.
"So, how long have been a nurse at this academy?" Laphicet asked curious.
"Oh, not that long I believe about two or three years when Eleanor started attending this school." Medissa answered while looking over a chart on Laphicet.
"Sounds like you two know each other a lot." Laphicet noticed of how Medissa teased Eleanor earlier.
"More than you know." Medissa sighed.
ACHOO!
"Uh, was that a sneeze?" Laphicet asked.
"Oh, that… that was me, just thought someone was talking about me." Medissa said. Laphicet didn't think she was telling the truth, but she sound scared about something, so he decided not to ask her about it.
Meanwhile, Medissa look toward on the curtains covering the nurse bed behind it with a worrisome look on her face hoping no one would find out.
(Later)
Laphicet is seen sitting on a bench with a soda can on his hands though haven't open it yet as his mind is still on the weird behavior between Eleanor and Nurse Medissa, it was almost like they're hiding something that they don't want anyone to find out but what.
"Phi, are you okay?" Velvet asked, snapping the young boy out of his thoughts.
"Oh, yeah, I'm okay. Just thinking." Laphicet said opening the soda can.
"Your mind is on whatever it was that made the scream last night, is it?" Velvet figured out as Laphicet is shock.
"How'd you know?" Laphicet asked.
"Rumors about it are spreading like wildfire, in fact three students got hurt from that night as well." Velvet informed.
"Really? Then it must be really dangerous!" Laphicet worried then a thought pops into his head.
"Come to think of it, when arrive at the nurse office, I overheard Eleanor talking to Nurse Medissa about something." Laphicet recalled.
"What were they talking about?" Velvet asked.
"I think… it has some kind of connection to the screaming last night and Eleanor mentioned about a "she" meaning it was someone probably the same one who attacked the three students. Sounds those two are keeping it quiet." Laphicet explained.
"Sounds like they definitely know something." Velvet said.
"Yeah, and I heard a sneeze there too, Miss Medissa said she was the one who sneezed, but it sounded more like a young girl." Laphicet added.
"Then I think we need to have a talk with Student President Eleanor." Velvet decided and march to the Student Council office.
"Hey, wait for me!" Laphicet said, running up to her side.
(With Tsukune and Moka)
Tsukune and Moka are seen walking together through the woods because the pink hair vampire girl suggested this in hopes of clearing their minds from the rumors about the screams, Tsukune seems to be cheered up spending time with Moka like they're on a romantic walk.
"Say Moka, do you… I don't know." Tsukune paused becoming nervous to ask.
"Hmm, what is it?" Moka asked.
"Well, do you like picnics?" Tsukune asked.
"Yeah, I like picnics though I never actually been to one." Moka mentioned.
"Really, then maybe we can go toge-huh?" Tsukune stopped as he just saw someone several feet away from them wearing a black cloak.
"Huh? Something wrong?" Moka wondered what Tsukune was about to ask her.
"I think I see something over there." Tsukune pointed at the figure.
"Oh, you're right." Moka sees the person too and notice how the person is walking.
"Hey, are you okay!" Moka called out.
The person didn't respond as she suddenly felt a painful headache clutching it with her hands and growling viciously, her body starts to glow dark-green and brown aura scaring Tsukune and Moka a bit as they back away a foot.
Then the mysterious cloaked person let out a scream, the same eerie scream that the students heard last night getting the attention of certain people.
"Oh no…" Eleanor gasped as she is outside knowing the scream. "Kamoana!" She ran quickly to where the scream came from.
(Nurse Medissa)
Medissa heard the scream and quickly pull the curtains apart seeing the nurse bed is empty with the bedsheet in a messy state and the window next to it open.
"No, please no, let it not be too late!" Medissa begged as she runs.
(With Tsukune and Moka)
Tsukune and Moka are now running away and dodging attacks from what appears to be a big tree monster with a green jewel-like child in the mouth as it knocks down some trees.
"What the heck is that thing?" Tsukune panicked.
"I don't know, I never even heard of a tree monster!" Moka said.
The tree monster picked up a broken-down tree and threw it at them, Tsukune looks back seeing it coming toward them knowing they are not going to dodge that.
"Move!" Velvet shouted jumping in and chop the tree in half with her left hand.
"Guys, are you okay!" Laphicet worried as he and the others ran to them.
"Couldn't be more glad to see you guys." Tsukune smiled.
Velvet slash at the tree monster twice making it scream in pain more and smack her away, but she regains her balance and land near Laphicet.
"That thing is tougher than it looks." Velvet said.
The tree monster charge at the gang and they quickly split up to dodge its arms slamming into the ground making a crater, Tsukune was grabbing onto Moka when they did and took her Rosario off which made Moka transform into her true vampire form.
"I wonder if this tree can be knocked down like the others?" Inner Moka asked rhetorically.
Inner Moka high for a dive kick right in the head.
"No, don't you dare hurt her!" Medissa transformed in her monster form that is a blue demon-like Lamia with four snakes as her hair. She jumps at Inner Moka knocking her away with a tackle.
"Nurse Medissa!" Laphicet shocked.
"Alright, start talking Nurse, what the hell is that thing and what's doing near the school?" Kurumu demanded.
"Everyone, calm down!" Eleanor said running into the scene.
"Looks like you knew about this and I didn't, color me impress for keeping this hidden." Magilou commented.
"Guess you were right about them hiding something big." Velvet said to Laphicet.
"So, you really did eavesdrop on us." Eleanor figured.
"Not everything, I just kinda pieces it together of what I could think of." Laphicet said.
"Of course, Magilou said you have a bright mind." Eleanor nodded.
"Hey, is anyone going to explain what the heck is going on around here?!" Yukari yelled.
The tree tries to attack Yukari, but Velvet got in the way slashing it and sent it flying crashing into a tree.
"Stop it, don't hurt my daughter!" Medissa begged as she whip one of her snakes to attack Velvet, but she dodges it.
"Daughter?" Velvet shocked as everyone else is.
"Yes, her name is Kamoana. She's a sweet girl who would never harm anyone." Medissa revealed and the tree monster now reveal as Kamoana smack Medissa and Kurumu was able to catch her.
"Well, it looks like she's having a bad temper tantrum." Kurumu pointed out.
"She's only acting like this because of the fever she got, whenever she gets sick her Therion power starts to lose control." Medissa explained.
"Wait, she's a Therion like Velvet?" Tsukune shocked.
"Therions don't always look the same like most races, we come in different shape and sizes but we're all Therion none the less." Velvet explained.
"And right now, we need to calm down Kamoana with her medicine." Eleanor took out a small medicine bottle.
"It should help calm down the fever, but we'll need her stop moving for a moment." Eleanor planned.
"Velvet and I can hold down her arms, that should give you the opening." Inner Moka suggested.
"I wrap my tail around to help." Medissa volunteered.
"Then let's go!" Velvet said.
Velvet grab on tree arm with her left-monster arm while Inner Moka grabs hold of the other one, Medissa quickly got behind and wrap her snake tail around the body, Eleanor ran straight toward Kamoana to give her the medicine. But in her rage, Kamoana screams loud and suddenly roosts began popping out Eleanor as she quickly dodges and slice them though got push back and knock down.
"Unbelievable! She has nature controlling powers!" Magilou gasped.
The roosts also spurt under Velvet, Inner Moka, and Medissa knocking them away and letting go of her tree arms. Kamoana charges at Eleanor as she didn't have time to grab her spear to block her and got pin down by her.
"Don't worry, sweetie, I won't be mad at you." Eleanor smiled as Kamoana reels back a free tree-arm to strike down.
"No!" Laphicet latched onto the arm trying to get it off Eleanor in vain.
"Laphicet, get out of here!" Eleanor said.
"Laphicet!" Velvet worried as she tries to free herself from the roots.
"I'm not going to let my friends get hurt, I'm going to become stronger to protect with my life!" Laphicet declared and his suddenly burst into silver-colored flames that is spreading and engulfing Kamoana.
"What are you doing?" Medissa panicked.
"No, wait, I don't think he's hurting her." Magilou pointed out as Kamoana seems to be calmer and relax instead of panicking and scream in pain.
Soon, the flames disappeared, and the tree monster form vanish leaving a little girl falling on her back sound asleep.
Everyone gathers seeing the little girl and look at Laphicet shock.
"How… how did you do that?" Eleanor asked.
"…I have no idea." Laphicet said.

Laphicet and the gang have dealt with another monster problem though this time is helping a little girl going on a rampage all because of a fever, and Laphicet seem to have unlocked a new power of silver flames that cured Kamoana from her fever. He'll have to figure out how to control this new power for future needs against threats in thie school.
