Bonding Weirdly Together Inside a Tent
(Dreamscape)
"Dad, why exactly are we playing ball?" An eight-year-old Laphicet asked curious while wearing a baseball glove.
"I just thought we could play a little sport, and your mom wanted us to play outside too." Laphicet's dad answered tossing the baseball between his hand and the baseball glove.
"But I think it would also be a good time for the two of us." Laphicet's dad added with a smile.
"I like reading books more." Laphicet stated.
"Yes, but you should also think about how you want to spend the rest of your life besides reading books and being smart. You should also try making friends." Laphicet's father pointed out.
"But it's hard to make friends when the other kids are making fun of me for being annoying because of my smarts." Laphicet said looking sad.
Laphicet's dad look at his son for a moment before walking up to the boy, kneeling down close to his eye level and place his hand onto Laphicet's head with a gentle smile on his face.
"Then you need to keep trying." The father said.
"Keep trying?" Laphicet confused of what his dad just said.
"Keeping finding people who can be your true friends and ones you can trust the most, connecting them with your heart and always being there for each other to the very end." The father explained.
"Do you really think I'll find really friends?" Laphicet asked.
"Well, you're already skipping a few grades because of that smart of yours, I have been wondering about that." The father said with a slight chuckle.
"Because school feels boring and I wanted to get them done as fast as I can, but that just got me to being picked on by some of the older kids whenever I go up a grade and tried using me too." Laphicet explained.
"I figured as much, but I think you should slow down that big brain of yours." The father advised.
"Slow down, but why would I do that?" Laphicet asked.
"I think you would end up missing the wonderful things you could have done if you gone through the same grade one by one like anyone else, something I'm sure you would enjoy." The father pointed out.
"You really think so?" Laphicet asked surprise and the father nodded.
"That's right, so I believe you should stay in middle school a bit longer and when you got into high school, be strong in the heart and body while meeting new students as there you'll find your true friends." The father believed with strength in his voice.
"True friends." Laphicet amazed, he never thought about he could actually find friends he can hang out and play with.
Then his face change into a sad expression when a thought came into his head and makes him feel a little worry.
"But what if you're wrong, what if I can't find any friends at high school." Laphicet asked worry.
"You don't really know unless you try, go forward and see where that path takes. Faces it head on like a dragon." The father advised strongly.
"Like a dragon?" Laphicet puzzled a little.
"You'll see what I mean soon enough." The father nodded.
(Dreamscape)
Laphicet moans a little as his eyes are slowly opening up from his slumber and notice the light of a little lantern which tells him he's inside a tent though feeling a little confuse.
"Wasn't I… at the sunflower field?" Laphicet asked himself softly.
"Laphicet!" Velvet said in joyfully relief.
"Velvet, you're here too?" Laphicet asked surprise a little.
"Of course, where else would I be when something was happening to you." Velvet stated as she gently lifting Laphicet to be sitting up right.
"Hey everyone, Laphicet is awake." Velvet informed the group, and they are relief to see him up and about.
"Hey there, little buddy. You feeling okay?" Tsukune asked.
"I think so, but my left side and hurts like Hell for some reason." Laphicet answered touching his left shoulder.
"That's natural consider you were attack out of nowhere by those vines Ruby did earlier." Magilou shrugged.
That confuses Laphicet for a second of what could the held-back witch mean by that until he started to remember the incident with Ruby and the others, how he felt extreme from the vines that attacked him and Tsukune.
"Oh yean, Ruby made those vines because she only wanted Yukari and Magilou away." Laphicet shivered in fear a little.
"Yes, and to be quite frank, I would have just thought of leaving this girl here to thrown into the ocean for what she had done instead of bringing her here." Eleanor crossed her arms.
"Bringing her?" Laphicet confused.
Tsukune pointed at one extra sleeping bag which the sorcerer boy turns, and his eyes widen in shock of seeing that it's Ruby sleeping in that sleeping bag.
"What the… Why exactly is she here?" Laphicet asked shock.
"We've been asking ourselves that for a while now, but to answer that it was all Tsukune's idea." Kurumu pointed her thumb at Tsukune.
"I just didn't want to leave her behind alone in the forest and the sunflower when I saw her unconscious. Plus, I thought we should also get to know her story about that hill and how her life was like." Tsukune explained his reason.
Laphicet did some thinking on that reason as he can see that Ruby isn't exactly a bad person with any kind of evil feelings, she just wanted to have friends with witches that she hadn't seen in years besides having this Ladyship she kept mentioning about this woman. He can understand that Tsukune wants to be friends with this witch as he also wanted to do the same.
"I guess that's okay." Laphicet nodded.
But then suddenly a thought came up into Laphicet about something that didn't seem right.
"Wait a minute, I thought you were injured like really bad like I was when Ruby attacked us with those vines, and we almost died too!" Laphicet pointed out a little loud.
"That's because you healed her with your silver flame." Mizore answered.
"I did?" Laphicet asked confused.
(Moments Ago)
After the huge explosion that was caused by all the other girls combining their powers together against Ruby after attacking and being enrage upon seeing the two boys' certain girls' lover representative for them and hurry to their side trying to see if they can help with the wounds.
Magilou: I was about to suggest me and Yukari to use our magic together to heal the boys though we were debating on who should we heal first which almost led to an argument if something interesting didn't mind.
The silver flames started to appear from Laphicet's body while the boy himself was still unconscious and spreads throughout his body, the deep wounds on him started heal within three seconds much to everyone's shock then the silver flame moved to Tsukune doing the same to him.
Moka: Your silver flames acted like it was alive or something and it senses you were in serious danger to heal you, and it was a surprised that it also healed Tsukune from his wounds too.
The silver flames dyed down after finally healing the two boys and Tsukune woke up surprise that he wasn't hurt anymore.
(Present)
"You wouldn't wake up after your wounds were healed, probably because your body was too exhausted." Velvet mentioned.
"Wow, so my flame was able to save me and Tsukune!" Laphicet amazed, looking down at his hands getting him to think that maybe there is more to his flame than he thought.
"Well, look who's finally waking up." Velvet said getting everyone's attention to Ruby.
Ruby moans a little as she starts to wake up with a slight feeling of a headache before she opens her eyes to see the group.
"Umm, hi?" Laphicet greeted nervously.
Ruby was confused at first until the memories the encounter with the friends of the witch sisters as how she attacked the two boys, and the girls came to attack her together as they shouted in rage.
Ruby was about to attack again and brought out her wings, but Tsukune suddenly held out a can tea, confusing the girl as her wings retreated into her back.
"You want some tea?" Tsukune asked.
"Don't worry, everyone has their own tea." Tsukune gestured, showing everyone are drinking their own tea can.
"Here you go, thought you might be thirsty." Eleanor offered the soda tea to the little boy.
"Thank you!" Laphicet smiled and started drinking.
Ruby wasn't sure what to make of this exactly and believe this could be a trick of some kind to make her let her guard down.
"If you think you can buy me off with tea, you've got another thing coming." Ruby said in a rude tone.
"That's not what we're doing! We just wanna hear your story." Tsukune assured as they don't want to hurt her, maybe Velvet would but she is restraining herself for Laphicet's sake.
"You do?" Ruby asked surprise.
"Yeah, we want to know more about that hill you live in." Laphiet nodded.
Ruby stare at the group into their eyes seeing the boy spoke truth as they want to hear more about her and her life on that hill with the mansion, she decided to tell them about her life hoping they could get a better understanding.
"That hill is a place where witches have lived for a very long time. And we lived there in peace together, never bothering nor hurting anybody, just minding our own business." Ruby started the story of the hill.
"Well, at least until they came barging in on us. They destroyed everything in sight. They ripped the place to shreds treating our home like it was nothing." Ruby said as her voice gotten angry.
"I see, the humans tried kicking your people because they want the land for something like a new attraction spot." Magilou sighed.
"Exactly, it's so stupid!" Ruby yelled a little in rage.
"Explain this to me! The human scum! Why should we trust them! What possible good could that do us now? We will never trust the humans ever again!" Ruby yelled as everyone can sense the intense emotions from her words.
"Yukari, Magilou, you two of all people should understand what I'm saying." Ruby looked towards the two witch sisters.
"We witches called this place home. In order to keep that place safe, our only option is to destroy every last one of them!" Ruby tried to get the sisters to join her cause.
"Hell no!" Magilou instantly rejected Ruby's invite making her feel her heart breaking.
"Like I told you before, the Sendo sisters are not going to be part of something that is idiotic and crazy like killing humans all just for a silly old hill." Magilou stated.
"B-But we have no other choice." Ruby proclaimed.
"What about all the killing that you do, is that really okay?" Eleanor asked.
"Only on the humans." Ruby said.
"Whether you're a human or a monster, there's no difference in the value of someone's life." Mizore pointed out strongly.
"Not to mention the rest of the humans shouldn't be punish for some humans trying to destroy your home that years ago, none of the others had anything to do with that yet you're saying they deserve to die because they're the same race is stupid." Velvet added.
Ruby could not believe what she is hearing that these monsters and fellow witches don't care about how bad the humans are and just leave them be, this causes her anger to raise from and she stands up clutching on the can tea and grinding her teeth a little.
"What's so wrong about killing humans? So, what if I kill them off!" Ruby screamed as she threw the can away.
"Who cares about stupid humans?!" Ruby screamed again.
"Ruby, please. You must see this way of life is not how one should be pouring their energy on." Laphicet said.
"He's right. Isn't there something else, some other way to go about it? A peaceful solution." Moka asked, agreeing with Laphicet on this.
"No way, there's no other alternative for us. Her Ladyship will bring retribution." Ruby believed with the serious in her eyes.
"Wait, her Ladyship?" Tsukune confused.
"There you go saying that again. You know, it's pretty pathetic that you're doing this because someone told you it's okay or as long as it serves your own purpose or not which makes you more pathetic." Magilou mocked.
"What was that?" Ruby offended from that.
"She's right, it's also pretty arrogant of you to go through that." Kurumu stated.
"No kidding, that's very selfish." Mizore nodded.
"Not the mention this method of "protecting" your home is making you no better than the selfish and bad humans you claim to fight again." Eleanor pointed out.
"Yeah, no one likes a meanie!" Kamoana agreed as she and her mother enter the tent.
"Sorry for barging in, we wanted to see how everyone is doing after hearing what happened." Medissa apologized.
"Kaomana, you should be asleep by now." Eleanor scolded her little sister a little.
"I know, but I want to stay up with you just a bit longer." Kamoana exclaimed as she hugs Eleanor.
"So, Ruby, was it?" Medissa said getting Ruby's attention.
"Are you really going to keep walking down this dark path? You have so much to offer and do some real good with your magic." Medissa asked.
"Yeah, that "witch way" is pretty stupid if you ask me." Kurumu shrugged her shoulders.
"And scary too." Mizore commented.
"Hey, we're not scary." Yukari renounced that remark.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, sure, you little "kiddie witches' aren't and whatever." Kurumu teased.
"There you go again!" Yukari said looking mad.
"Do I need to give you reminder of not to mess with us?" Magilou smirked, holding up some of her cards.
This side talking has got Ruby mad as they think her goal is nothing to go for.
"All of you shut up! If they take that hill away from me, I'll be left without anywhere else to go!" Ruby shouted in rage which got everyone's attention.
"Then that's no problem, you can come with us back to Yokai Academy." Laphicet suggested a good idea.
"I rather not, this chick is too wincing like a little kid." Velvet shared her opinion on this matter.
"But it could get very lonely for her if she stays in the place she is uprooted, so the school can offer her a lot." Moka believed.
"Will that be okay with you, Eleanor?" Medissa asked her first adopted daughter.
"I will have to talk with the headmaster about this matter first and she does seem like more than a third-year student, but I'm sure the principal wouldn't mind offering her a job." Eleanor decided to head straight for the headmaster's office when they get home.
"Hey, let's get her to join the Newspaper Club too!" Moka suggested.
"Good call, Moka!" Yukari agreed, totally on board with this.
"Eh? So, now we'll have three witches?" Kurumu exclaimed, feeling uncomfortable with this.
"That's right, we will!" Yukari said smug and rubbing off on Kurumu's big breasts.
"Better get use to the idea otherwise I may have to make you see things my way." Magilou chuckled while rubbing her butt on the succubus girl's head from behind.
"Hey come on, you two, please be nice." Laphicet concerned of this.
"We are, just reminding her who can do the scary damage here." Magilou smirked.
Everyone started to have some fun and laughs together in the tent as time passes while Ruby just watches them being so happy despite everything that just happened to them, and when everyone finally went to sleep, Ruby picked up the tea can Tsukune offered her and leaves the tent.
She looks up at the stars recalling everything through those moments with them, getting to know them a little more and even actually thought of living a more peaceful life with them at this school.
However, she knew that she could never go on the same path as everyone else, not with all the damage and blood spilling she had done over the years living on this hill.
"I can't…" Ruby whispered to herself and summon a crow bringing her wand.
"(There's no way. It's too late for me, I can never change back.)" Ruby thought sadden and flew away from the group.
There is only one place she can go to right now.
