Sailorlyoko4lfie: So just a heads up in this chapter, I had to very slightly alter chapter one to fit the story line better. Nothing too major. Most of you might not even notice it. But I just wanted you to know so you don't think you are crazy if you do notice it. :)
Jade: Also just as an update on where the timeline is now at. Ch.1+2 are the span of two days. Ch.3 is two more days after. (Our parents orignally wanted it to just be a few days) Ch.4 is 3 more days after. So at that time it had been a week from when this started. Just incase some of you were lost. Ch. 4 -7 is all one day! Then ch.8 is two days after that. Ch.9 is another day and a half (so 1 full day and the middle of the second day) from that. And ch.10 and this chapter are also in the same day. So 9,10, 11 are all one day. So this is day 14, 2 weeks since the start of the story. Hope that clears it all up, I know I was confused lol.
Sailorlyoko4life: Sorry for the wait. I kept coming back to this thinking I was going to keep my promise of every month but I just kept adding more every time... soooo you guys are getting a very long chapter! There was just so much I needed to happen in this chapter, and I really didn't want to split it into two. So enjoy!
Zak: On with the show!
(WARNING! There is a rather ...Graphic... scene in this chapter! So brace yourself. Also I am sorry if it bothers you. I've never had to do a warning for this before because its not usually my style, but it felt right for this specific moment so I'm not changing it. You have been warned.)
Disclaimer: Still don't own either show. Sorry.
Demons with a side of Netflix
"Zak... ZAK!" He could here someone calling his name. He slowly opened his eyes and then was met with a blurry vision of a man in a blue shirt. He blinked a few times and groaned and finally recognized it was Jackie. "Thank goodness!" He heard Jackie release a breath of relief.
"Wha-what happened?" Zak asked, still not totally oriented yet from his vision. Instead his head was spinning trying to remember where he was and how he got here.
"We sat down to let you rest for a minute and you passed out instead. Its been about 30 minutes." Jackie said, letting Zak get his bearings together before he asked the obvious question.
"What?! 30 minutes? But …." He took a deep breath in and released it slowly to calm himself. Ok so he was dreaming. But he was here with Jackie now so everything was ok. Yes he has a million questions about this second vision but he would review it with Jade later. For now though they needed to get back to the ship.
"Are you alright?" Jackie finally asked. Zak nodded.
"I think so. I guess I really needed the nap." He replied. Zak was trying to hide the worry on his face from Jackie, but he wasn't sure he was succeeding due to how the adult still looked worried about him. Zak slowly got to his feet to show he was alright now. That seemed to ease Jackie's mind some.
"Alright lets check the last place and then head back to the ship before Mom and Dad start to worry about us." Zak stated and Jackie agreed.
Apparently they were too late for that though because when they got back they were met with the whole gang looking at them like they needed to explain what took so long. Before Jackie could explain Zak took the insinuative.
"I was tired so Jackie and I stopped for a bit to rest and I ended up taking nap instead hehe. Sorry about that." He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "But we checked all the locations and everything is the way it should be, so mission completed!" He tried to take the focus off of himself. To his relief, it worked.
"Good, now how about we get out of this heat and somewhere a little cooler huh?" Doc said. Everyone seemed to like that idea so Doc and Drew set a course to a small natural spring outside of the Amazon to relax in but stay hidden still.
When everyone separated to go their own ways until they got to the spring, Jackie stopped Zak and asked him to come to the training room. Zak knew why and followed him there.
"Soooo I'm guessing we aren't doing some training." He asked not looking Jackie in the eye. Jackie let out a sigh.
"No we aren't. But I do want to ask you why you didn't tell you parents what really happened. You passed out, after looking sick. That's not good signs Zak, your parents need to know about it." Jackie lectured, but it was obvious he was worried.
"I know I know. It's just... I know they are already worried about me and I don't want to worry them even more. And I'm fine now, so can we maybe just not say anything about it to them PLEASE." He tried to beg him to keep quite but Jackie wouldn't let it go that easily.
"Fine, but only if you tell me what really happened. It's best for at least one of us to know whats going on." Jackie proposed. Zak didn't want to, but he took the compromise.
"Alright. But remember, don't say anything to them." He waited until Jackie nodded in agreement.
"So half of the time I kept thinking I was seeing things..." He went on to explain when his not feeling well had started and manifested as and then he ended with waking up, conveniently leaving out the part about the vision and substituting it with one of the other dreams he has been having at night. Jackie seemed worried but satisfied with the answer he got. Zak reminded him to not mention it to his parents and went off to find Jade.
-With Jade-
She knew the moment she saw him look at her on the ship that he was lying. She just knew it. The look in his eyes was the "we need to talk but not here" kinda look. When she had gotten so good at recognizing that look she didn't know but when they all split up after Doc and Drew set the course she went to their special place to wait for him.
"He's hiding something, what do you think it is? He attacked Jackie? Or maybe he had another vision? Or maybe he killed-" "SHUT UP!" Jade angrily yelled as she threw the glass cup in her hand at the wall where her shadow resided and heard it shatter followed by a haunting laugh before it faded away. She tried to steady her hands by laying them flat on that table and breathing in through her nose and breathing out slowly through her mouth. It was something Drew had taught her one night after supper when she asked if she knew any relaxation tricks. Drew was happy to teach her.
It helped her stop shaking thankfully. She knew Zak would eventually make his way over here, but she didn't want him to see her loose her cool again so soon. It was nerve wrecking as it was already, no need to make him more worried then he already is about her.
She has started to hate looking in the mirror due to thinking she see's fangs or red eyes for a split second every now and again. When it first started happening she thought it was just because she was tired from the 'dreams' but when it kept happening she finally turned the mirrors around or covered them when she brushed her teeth. Her hair has been a guessing game the past two weeks.
Then that time here with Zak happened... that's when the voice first came. And now with Doc she actually summoned wind. This was bad. She looked down at her now calm hands, wondering when they were gonna start turning blue. If any physical traits start to show then it was over. At least that's how she saw it. Jackie and Uncle would freak out and she could only hope she wouldn't get the same reaction from the Saturdays. She has really gotten close with Zak's parents, they were really cool. And she enjoyed learning from them. But if the adults find out she has been lying to them...
"Hey! Need a soda?" Zak came in baring gifts of 4 Faygo orange sodas, popcorn in a bowl, tied to his back were blankets, pillows, Christmas lights, and something else she couldn't see in a bag on his arm. It effectively snapped Jade out of her derailing thoughts.
"What is all of that for, to run away and live in the forest or something?" She asked, completely at a loss for words otherwise. But if she were being honest, it was a very tempting idea. He smiled.
"Something like that." He set everything down and started moving the chairs and table around and she became even more confused. He didn't fail to notice the broken glass on the floor, he raised his eyebrow at her for a second, not saying anything. She meekly looked away, clearly not wanting to talk about it. So he stayed silent and continued to build the fort until Jade finally voiced her confusion.
"Ok seriously I have no idea what you are doing." She gave up trying to figure it out. Then he laughed.
"You really don't know what this is do you?" He laughed but he also couldn't believe it. Surely she had done this before. She just looked at him unamused though, like it wasn't funny to her. "Its a pillow fort. Haven't you ever made a pillow fort before?" The only change in her look was an eyebrow raise. He was baffled.
"Wait you're serious?! How could you have never done this before?" He grabbed her arm and showed her to tie the corner of the blanket to the inside of the chair that was pointing outwards in the circle of chairs. She didn't get what they were really doing until she had the third one tied and he had started to put all of the pillows around on the inside and the lights too. Her eyes suddenly matched the Christmas lights. That was the reaction he was looking for when he walked in. It made him smile to see her excitement.
"This is so cool!" She crawled inside and he turned on the Christmas lights to make it colorful. He grabbed the other stuff from the bag that he had left just outside of the fort entrance. He pulled out a tablet called a Nook and brought up Netflix. They decided to watch the new She-Ra reboot. It only had one season and the episodes were 20 minutes each.
"Ok before we start... I want to talk to you about something." Zak stated. Jade turned to him, seemingly already ready for this conversation. After two weeks of these dreams and 'visions' it seemed they really have gotten good at reading the other person. He recounted what happened in the forest with Jackie. And he recounted the second half (hopefully last) of the vision he had had the time before. When he was expecting her response he didn't get any. Instead she sat there looking like she had ice running through her veins. When she finally spoke, she still seemed in shock.
"So... some really bad things happened with the secret scientists and my family and we turned to Tarakudo and became the new king and queen of the world." She said, still staring in shock at the floor.
"Yeah, basically. At least that's what I got out of it too." He was watching for any and all emotions to cross her face. She finally took a deep breath in and let it out.
"I'm just glad these are only dreams and not real." She said as she looked at him with an expression that said 'please agree with me'. He nodded.
"Yeah, so am I." They then turned their attention to the screen in front of them and started to binge She-ra.
It was about 4 hours until they finished and felt tired enough to actually sleep. They had finished the popcorn and Faygo a good 2 hours ago.
"Do you think Shadow Weaver will be in charge anymore?" Jade asked.
"I'm not sure but it looks like Catra destroyed her main way of absorbing power. So she won't be nearly as terrifying as she has been."
"True. What about Catra? Do you think she will stay second in command for long after this? Especially after they lost the battle of Bright Moon." Jade asked.
"Hmmmmmmm... maybe. Honestly I think they succeeded in getting rid of the whispering woods so it sounds like they are gonna have an easier time launching attacks now that it's gone. So she will have a few more shots at proving herself. As long as 'the worst mother ever' doesn't come back into the picture. I think she has a pretty good chance at staying at the top." Zak responded, using their nickname for the witch.
"I don't think she will get back into good graces with him anytime soon. She lost to her own 'daughter' and she hasn't been helping expand their reaches like she was told to this whole time. If anything, she's been loosing ground, which I'm sure he's not very happy with. Plus (yawns)Shadow Weaver was more... focused on Adora so she was already ticking Hodack off multiple times at this point (yawns) by constantly focusing primarily on getting her back, even when she knew it was... against Hordack's orders. So I think Catra doesn't have to worry about loosing her new position for a good while, (yawns) at least not to her." Jade mused "It's amazing how ...close those two were growing up. They were basically sisters, but now Catra is choosing to ...rip that apart. I mean I understand why she's ... doing it, heck honestly I wouldn't want to be a princess either, but it still sucks to throw away something like that." As she talked she was slowly wadding her head down to the pillow while her talking had slowed down.
Zak yawned and stretched his arms as best he could in the fort.
"Man I'm tired. Want to at least try to get sleep or do you want to watch some Danny Phantom still?" Zak said. Though he wasn't too keen on re-visiting Kurs memories, he knew he still needed to rest his eyes and body. Jade looked like she wasn't even hearing him anymore. She had been nodding off during their talk about the show and now it seemed she was out completely. He scooted around to try to get comfortable and finally closed his eyes and tried to sleep. He waits for the memories of enslaving humans and bloody battles to come to him as he feels himself drifting off.
-With the villains-
"What an honor to be summoned by such a deity." Argost said as he bowed to Tarakudo. "And it is always a pleasure doing business with you my dear queen." He bowed again to the Naga queen.
"We hope you will be compliant in our newessst plansss." She hissed out with a frown. She new this creature well enough to know he didn't play well with others. She is very worried about how this meeting would proceed.
"Yes I was informed of your interest of these children, and I do say that the Saturday's have been pleasantly held up and out of my way for the time being due to it. But I honestly don't see why I can't be of any help." He said innocently. He needed to know something. And he was going to get it one way or another.
"You have no true loyalty to the shadows or the cryptids. We will leave you be if you let us and the children be. Is that too difficult for you to handle?" The demon head asked. Argost narrowed his eyes slightly, that wasn't the answer he wanted.
"True, that would be easy enough... but how can I stay out of the way if I don't know what you are planning? What if my interests interfere by mere accident?" He asked with a waving gesture. But alas the king would not give into such foolishness.
"Are you saying you are dumb enough to not stay out of a war zone when you see one?" He asked with a smirk.
"Of course not." Argost nodded, not wanting to loose his cool but getting aggravated at the kings deflection.
"Then ssssimply agree to the contract and let ussss be done with thisss." The Naga queen said in her own aggravation. She knew he wanted information, and in this beasts hands information was like a double edged sword.
"Very well, if you insist that I cannot help you. But I do not intend to just sit on my hands. My work involves the Saturdays weather you like it or not. So as you can see I am not able to simply 'stay out of the way'." The madman stated. The queen could be seen grinding her teeth. This pest was not easy to deal with. Just when she was going to yell at him he continued.
"BUT I might agree to lay low and wait it out on just one circumstance." Argost finally answered. He had everyone's attention now. "I will stay out of this entire ordeal... so long as I get to kill the girl afterwords." The room was filled with a chilling silence.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Tarakudo roared. The Nagas all visibly shrank back at the sound and the earth all around them shook with rocks and dust coming from the ceiling. Argost merely smirked.
"My my my, do we have a favorite?" He chuckled. " One could only wonder why she is so important to a being like you." He prodded.
"You are a mere Yeti, if you so much as ruffle her hair, I will end you." The king growled, every word dripping with disdain and barley hidden malice. Even the Naga queen was shaking at this point. She hoped the stupid cryptid would stop taunting the demon, before they all suffered for it. After all she knew what importance Jade has in all of this. And it seems Agrost has noticed it too. The entire cave had dropped significantly in temperature and every living being was waiting with bated breathe for the next move to be made.
Argost must be a true psychopath to have even come down here to begin with. He knew his ideals would not line up with the kings. But he needed to confirm his suspicions about the girl. And now he had his answer.
"Then I suppose I will be on my way, seeing as we have come to an impasse." Argost turned to go back to his ship but the Snake people knew better then to let him leave. Hissing Nagas blocked his way and wrapped him up in tight coils until he started coughing for air. This seemed to calm the king down some. Lord Tarakudo calmly floated over to the current prisoner. Despite his calm demeanor raw power rolled of of him in waves. Argost could only breathe in a quarter of dried air and could only see a blob of red approach him through his own breathe as he coughed, vision getting blurrier by the second. Tarakudo's telekinesis held a katana just at the back of the pathetic gray creatures neck as it struggled to breathe.
"Listen carefully, You will either vow to never harm her and never let her be harmed, or you will take your last breathe. Is that understood?" The king lifted his eyes to the snake people and they took it as their cue to stop cracking the yeti's ribs and let him breathe again. Tarakudo waited patiently as Argost tried to catch his breathe again despite the blood seeping out of his mouth.
"I. *ackkk* will not harm the girl *ackk ackk ackk* nor let her be *wheez* harmed." Argost managed to breathe out. He could feel the blade at the top of his spinal cord, begging to be used. The king let it set there for another moment before he finally gave the order to release the hacking gray creature. Munya had to help Argost get back to his feet again and helped him back to the ship. The tension in the room was finally lifted and the temperature finally started to rise back from freezing to just cool.
Argost now knew he was correct on his assumption about Jade and her standing with the king. Now all he had to do was put his own plan into motion. He would have hummed to himself as he walked into his ship and flew back out of the caverns if he did not have 5 broken ribs. This would be fun.
-Back with Jade-
Jade feels the cold first. It's all too familiar presence. Then she opens her eyes to find herself in the shadow realm again. This is normal by now, basically a routine for her. She knows when she looks to her right she is going to see Hsi Wya and he was going to remind her of all the things she would rather forget. But to her surprise it wasn't Hsi Wya this time. It was none other then Zak. He looked rather confused at seeing her too.
"Jade, what is going on?" He asked.
"I'm, I'm not really sure. Usually I have the Hsi Wya here, not you."
"You mean that sky demon? So that means... we are in one of your dreams?"
"More like nightmares, but yeah I think so. I guess since your here I should say-" She was suddenly interrupted by the wind she usually felt at the end of her dreams.
"Welcome to she Shadowrelm Kur." An all to familiar deep voice boomed from the wind as it finished her sentence. When it died down it was none other then the floating red head that started all of this mess for them.
"Tarakudo." Jade said under her breath. Her whole body froze up, she couldn't believe he was here again. The only other time he had been here with her directly was when she had accidentally released her other self. All these other times it had only ever been Hsi Wya and his antics of trying to get her to come back to the demons. But now the king was here himself again, and that scared her. She has managed to fight off the persuasion of the sky demon due to her experience with his family, and the book of time incident gave her a pretty good idea of what he was aiming for, and it wasn't what she wanted. But Tarakudo...
"Jade, Jade! What are you doing to her?!" Zak tried to shake Jade out of her trance but nothing was getting her attention. The symbol of Tarakudo was in her eyes, and in the demon kings eyes too. So he decided the next best thing was to get rid of the source of the problem. He got his staff out and extended it to hit the head in the face. It worked, but not in Zak's favor. He got his attention, but still not Jades.
"Kur!" The king yelled. Then he took a calming breath in and let it out to retain his composure. "I see you still don't like being ignored. My apologies." He bowed as he floated, which looked kinda funny to Zak.
"LET HER GO." He all but growled. The demon just chuckled, he knew the boy couldn't do anything to really hurt him in this place. But he complied regardless. He already established the mind link much more clearly now so there was no reason to keep her in the trance any longer. Zak heard a gasp beside him and he knew that Jade had come to. He glanced back at Tarakudo with a questioning look.
"I have no wish to quarrel with you my friend. Only to talk." Tarakudo said.
Jade rubbed her head a little and finally came to understand what was going on. But she remained silent.
"Then why did you hypnotize Jade?! That doesn't scream 'just here to talk' to me." He replied.
"I only wanted to strengthened our connection. Nothing more. It's harder to communicate from such a distance when she is closing herself off from her end. The line must be clear in order to be heard. That is why she feels a lash of wind every time I try to connect to her. I simply calmed her down so that we won't get that interference." After hearing that Zak looked to his friend again and did notice she looked remarkably calmer then he had seen her in a while. No fear, no tiny grimace he always noticed, no hidden pain. She just had a curious look on her face, like she was just listening to the conversation as a third party.
"Jade are you ok?" He reached out to touch her, but she wasn't really there. He gasped as her arm turned to vapor before it reformed again. She didn't respond.
"She is fine. In fact, after this she should sleep better now that the connection is no longer broken. Now back to the matter I need to discuss with you my friend." He started, while bowing his head to Zak again. Zak didn't like that he was basically on his own with Tarakudo while Jade was only being used as a phone essentially, but he really didn't seem to have a choice at the moment but to hear the stupid head out. He turned fully to him with his staff put back into its holster. Tarkudo knew he finally had Zak's undivided attention.
"Alright, talk." Zak said.
"Do you know about the birth of Kur?" Zak blinked a couple times, not expecting the question.
"NO." He said sternly. He wasn't going to let him get under his skin.
"Well I won't bore you with statistics but Kur was named king of the cryptids when he was able to persuade his brethren in fighting back against the humans who sought to cage them and hurt them. Now before you make some witty retort; I ask you, why does your family help keep the crytpids a secret from human society?" Zak wasn't expecting that question either. The king let him have some time to think about what he was implying.
"Ok, say I understand what you're getting at, what does that have to do with now? What does it have to do with me and Jade and you messing with our heads?" Zak asked unamused. He wanted this to be done.
"All will be clear in time my friend." Tarakudo stated. Zak wasn't having that though. He had a pretty good idea of what the demon lord wanted.
"We aren't going to hurt anyone or overthrow the humans just because of …." He suddenly trailed off, getting lost in the memory of the visions he has been having. Tarakudo perked up his eyebrow, intrigued by the sudden silence.
"Is there something you would like to share with the class my boy? ...Zak?" Upon hearing his name Zak snapped out of his thoughts. He looked like he had seen a ghost for the first time. Then he took a deep breath and calmed himself, just like Tarakudo had done earlier.
"What are you up to?" Zak asked with a determined look on his face. "Other then the obvious reasons, why are you making us miserable by giving me visions of a miserable future and trying to tear us apart from our families?!" Zak ended up asking it with more aggravation then he had intended to. Tarakudo simply looked lost though.
"My friend I have only ever connected with you once, back in the forest." The king stated, trying to get at what Zak was talking about.
"No, you've connected with me three times already, all of them just happened to be in forests." Zak pointed out. Tarakudo must have been a great actor in his day because he still didn't seem to understand what Zak was talking about.
"I have no idea what your talking about my boy. I have only ever connected to you back in Siberia, only to have your mother throw a bag of onions at me, which wasn't very nice by the way. Other then right now that is the only time me and you have connected since the old days." Tarakudo reaffirmed. Zak was perplexed. Was the floating head lying to him or not. He couldn't tell.
"Then how do you explain the dreams I keep having and the visions ever since the mirror and rock indecent huh?!" He exasperated. He didn't want to play this game, it had to be the kings doing.
"I do admit that I might have triggered your conscious to connect fully with Kurs the day we met. That would most likely be due to us having a past together. But what are these visions you speak of Zak?" Tarakudo was trying to understand what the young man was experiencing.
"Look you can stop pretending that you don't know. They have to be coming from you. First the memories start, then Jade gets kidnapped by the Nagas and they have me do this freaky mirror trick, then the rock that happened to have your face on it gave me that vision and ever since things have only been getting worse for me and Jade. Not to mention the second vision not to long ago today. It has to be you and the Nagas!" Zak yelled. He didn't want to consider the only other option, that it was all in their heads, that it wasn't some evil scheme and was just their own doubts messing with them. It couldn't be, it just couldn't! Tarakudo could see that Zak was in a state of complete disarray.
"Kur, are you accusing me of lying to you?" Tarakudo asked in a low dark tone. Almost like he was angry at the accusation. Zak stumbled back from the demon lord a little. Was he serious? Did he really not know about any of it? That would mean...
"No... Yes!... Aurgh!" He grabbed his head like he was trying to shake away the line of thought that scared him. "It can't just be us! You had to of known the Naga's in the past, especially since you were so close with Kur. Why wouldn't you be working together to try to make me and Jade turn dark? It's literately what you're even doing here right now!" Zak couldn't help the tears that ran down his face while screaming. All of the stress him and Jade have been under for the past two weeks was coming to a horrible peek. It all started with Tarakudo messing with them, he had to be behind everything else. Him and Jade couldn't be going crazy. The visions can't be real. He just wants some peace of mind for them both, was that so much to ask! He looked to Jade's corporeal self and she had her eyes shut tight with tears. She felt the same. If it wasn't all Tarakudo...
"Hmmmm... I see now." Tarakudo hummed with a sad expression, almost soft even. He waited for both of the kids to calm down a little before he continued. "I am sorry about what you two have been experiencing due to my powers. I ask that you do believe that I do not wish to harm either of you. When I had initially purged you in my shadows it was to establish a connection with Jade, and you just happen to be there with her. I was honestly thinking it wouldn't effect you much my friend. But I see now that that was not the case. These so called 'visions' must be a side effect you are experiencing due to your troubled mind. May I ask if they are consistent to what you believe could happen in the future?" The king asked his old friend. Zak and Jade looked at each other for a few moments, and even though she didn't want that be the answer, she also knew Tarakudo was no liar. It all made sense in the end. Even though she knew she couldn't talk anymore she gave him a nod to reassure she was on the same page. Zak answered with the truth.
"Yes." He answered to the ground, but Tarakudo heard him. Both kids seemed so defeated; Tarakduo felt awful for them. They were such incredible beings with amazing gifts, both his queen and his old friend. Neither deserved any of this self doubt or pain they were experiencing because of these insufferable humans.
"I can assure you that I will not try to make this harder for either of you." The Oni king turns to Jade. "I will lay low for a bit so you can get some rest my dear. Now that I have fully established our link from your end your mind shouldn't drift to the shadowrealm without your permission anymore. Though you might see some other developments due to this. My apologies in advance for any inconvenience this might cause you. As for you Zak," He turned to the young Saturday. Zak wasn't used to hearing him say his actual name. "I came here to give you a word of warning as well."
"What is it?" Zak asked, still reeling from this entire conversation.
"I have noticed you are associating with some questionable parties." The king thought back to his 'conversation' with the psychopath earlier. Zak's eye widened. How did he notice that when even his parents haven't yet.
"I-I don't know-" He tried to deny it, becoming extremely uneasy about where this was going.
"I ask that you don't lie to me when I don't lie to you my friend. I know already that he is teaching you more about your powers. Tell me, how are his methods working our for you?" Tarakudo asked, knowing Zak doesn't agree with how the madman has been teaching him. Zak wouldn't look at him or Jade, he suddenly found a floating rock nearby to stare at instead.
"I'm taking your silence as it hasn't been very 'conventional'. He knows nothing compared to what I know about your essence and abilities. Take my word when I say he is not who you need. You know he cannot be trusted, I can see it all over your face. But he is worse then you fear, that I can assure you." The demon lord looked at Jade for a moment with concern. He couldn't help but think of the madman's request to kill her for his cooperation. He doesn't want him anywhere near his dear little queen. He needs to make sure Zak protects her.
"Discontinue your association with him if you wish to truly protect those you love." He made no attempt to hide who he was referring to, making Jade's face turn a little red. A glance at Zak showed that he was blushing too. Their connection was undeniable, though neither really wanted to put a label on it. They preferred to leave it unsaid. Tarakudo smiled to himself despite the heaviness of his warning. Just because he wanted to rule the world with shadows doesn't mean he doesn't want to see his little one happy with someone who is worthy of her. The moment passed when Jade started diapering and Zak start to fade too. The Oni king knew what this meant.
"Proceed with caution my friend." He reminded him as Tarakudo too started to vanish. The next thing the two knew they were both waking up to Jade's cell phone ringing. Groggily she answered it. Apparently Zak had left a note for his parents saying that they were at their hang out and going to stay there all night so they wouldn't worry.
'Smart thinking' Jade thought silently. She finally answered the phone and it ended up being Jackie letting her know that they are getting ready for lunch and that they were going to video chat with Toruh and Fisk afterwords due to something happening back in California that they wanted to talk about. She said they would be there shortly. Her and Zak started to stretch out once they crawled outside of the fort they had fell asleep in. They talked about what the 'conversation' with the Oni king had entailed; both knowing it changed a few things in their own agenda. By the time they were almost to the kitchen they had come to the conclusion that they needed to bring someone else into this. Or at least get their opinion. It was time they made a call of their own.
Alright wow! We are done with this chapter! This turned out WAYYYYY longer then it was supposed to be. I kept sitting down with it to do one scene and then would end up putting another one in or making it longer then I intended it to be. All of my fellow writers know how it is when your scenes take a life of their own lol.
Zak: Anyways, there wasn't really a good place to put this but yes we are at the spring area already, the ship landed at some point but we already planned on going out the next afternoon. Me and Jade slept most of the morning.
Sailorlyoko4life: And we finally have Argost officially in the mix now! If you thought it was bad enough with two villains, then get ready to prepare yourself for this wild card lol. That scene got wayyyy darker then I had planned it to be, but honestly people really underestimate how brutal and viscous both Tarkaudo and the Naga's can be.
And now we finally have a real conversation with Zak and Tarakudo! Man this chapter had way to much in it lol.
Also She-ra season 4 realesed like this month and I have been going crazy over it! Funny thing is that I already had the She-ra reference (conversation) in here before I knew the new season was coming out so soon lol. Fun surprised are always great!
Jade: So what she means to say go watch She-ra!
Sailorlyoko4life: Yes. And finally before I bid you all adu until next time, please let me know your thoughts on the new material! Thanks!
Jade: You are going to clean up that glass you had me throw right? Cause I am so not getting in trouble for that.
Zak: What was that about anyways?
(Jade leaves the room in order to not answer)
