{Weiss' perspective}

A few hours into our flight I was resting my eyes, when I awoke we were in the floating islands. Achilles was not sitting on the crates he rearranged into a seat.

So I ventured to the flight deck to see Achilles and the pilot having a casual chatter.

"So are there black boxes on this craft?" He asked.

The pilot nodded "State of the art and shatter and impact proof."

"The word you're looking for is resistant. Nothing is "anything-proof." Achilles corrected.

The pilot snickered "Ok smartass."

Achilles then picked up a piece of paper that was clipped onto the control column. He took a glance over it then asked "So this is what you're carrying?"

"Officially."

"So there's unofficial stuff on this."

The pilot chuckled "Including you two? Just a few dozen crates of dust."

Achilles nodded, "Good, that'll come in handy."

The pilot looked confused, but before he could ask we heard the distress call again, I could see the Mystralian airship with a thick black smoke trailing behind. Lancers were surrounding it. Tearing it in half, making it explode.

I glanced down at the disaster in horror.

I glanced over at Achilles to see his face twisted with fear.

I've never seen him afraid of anything, but that look says he's been through something he doesn't want to tell.

The lancers then set their sites on us.

Achilles snapped out of whatever trance he was in and stated "Welp, that's our que." As he dropped the paper. "Captain, be a dear and open the cargo bay when we say. Weiss lock and load Myrtenaster."

The pilot yelled "What're you kids planning?"

Achilles shrugged "Something stupid and quite possibly dangerous. But better than nothing."

Instead of heading to the cargo hold. He heads to where we were stowing away. He then came out a moment later with a rifle in his hands. He looked natural holding it. Keeping the finger off the trigger, keeping the barrel pointed down and away from us.

He tossed my Myrtenaster to me before he jumped down into the cargo hold. While the pilot yelled "Hey kid! You can't just grab any weapon out of any of the crates! They have to be factory new!"

"Consider this a field test then! Besides, my pistols will only hit air from the distance they are." he retorted.

He sighed out of annoyance as I joined him in the cargo hold. I took the ladder down. Once I put my feet down, I cracked open one of the crates and started to load Myrtnaster as I told him "You know, I never understood the term "Lock and load" If you lock a weapon you can't load it."

Achilles sighed "It's an old expression used to remind soldiers how to reload a certain type of rifle."

"Still stupid…" I mumbled.

I then finished loading Myrtenaster. And locked it… Damn it! Now I'm doing it! His personality really is contagious.

Anyway… I made gravity glyphs for both of us as Achilles knelt and level the rifle at the door.

He then yelled "READY!"

And the door opened. I could feel the air being sucked out of the hold and my lungs for a moment.

It didn't seem to bother Achilles. Or if it did, he was better at not showing it.

The Lancers gathered around the back giving chase.

Achilles took aim as I prepared my glyphs to fire a volley of icicles.

They seemed to dodge my ice, but Achilles hit one of them dead center of the chest.

"Have you gone target shooting before?" I asked.

"Nope!" he answered as he took aim at another, "Well, technically I had some lessons with a BB gun, so I'm applying that to this gun!"

I fired a volley of fireballs which took out three of them. Out of the eight that there were, there were only 5 left to deal with.

The Lancers fired their stingers at us in an attempt to try to hook us.

Achilles took out one of the barbed stingers before it reached us.

The four remaining hooked into the hull. I glanced over at him and yelled "Are you going to take them out?!"

"Give me a minute, it's been a hot minute since I've shot a gun in case you needed a reminder!" He yelled back.

He took two more shots, one was dead on center, the other cut the lancer's line which sent it tumbling in the air. He then leveled his gun at a third as I prepared a glyph in front of the barrel to freeze the bullet.

It hit directly on the wing of the third.

One of the lancers regained its poseur and continued its chase, I hit it square in the face with my fireball.

"HAHA we did it kids!" The pilot cheered.

I celebrated overcoming our obstacles. Achilles simply stood up and scanned the sky.

I was about to ask when I heard the buzzing that sounded… familiar…

He then yelled "We ain't outta the isles yet!"

A queen lancer came out from behind one of the floating islands and gave chase.

Achilles tried to shoot at it but to no avail, the bullets seemed to have bounced off the Queen Lancer.

Achilles glanced down at his rifle and ejected a bullet. Catching it just in time before it was sucked out.

He glanced at it for a moment before yelling "Is this thing chambered in 5.56?!"

"I don't know!" The pilot yelled "I don't look at the cargo when I'm transporting it! And I certainly don't look at the ammo type!"

He sighed as he took out the magazine to put the bullet back in as he mumbled something.

He then turned to me and yelled "We need the Arma Gigis. And make sure that the Queen Lancer doesn't destroy anything vital to the ship!"

I gave a nod as I yelled to the pilot "When I say, pull up!"

I then stabbed the floor which the Arma Gigis raised out of the glyph created.

"Now!"

The pilot pulled the cargo ship as high as it could go and upside down. Achilles and I dropped to the roof as I sent it to attack the Queen Lancer.

The pilot did an aileron roll as we dropped back onto the floor.

Achilles pointed "It's firing its barb!"

"I see that!" I yelled.

I had the Arma Gigis knock it off to the side.

"No, not that way!" Achilles yelled while clutching his head with his left robotic hand.

"Will you be quiet!?" I yelled back. I then realized what was happening. The barb that the Queen Lancer fired was now heading to a wing.

Everything felt like it was happening in slo motion.

Achilles tried to aim at it, but seeing as it was moving faster than he could track I suspected that he wouldn't be able to alter its trajectory.

Just as I thought it would damage the ship, it… disappeared in a lightshow of teal.

Before I could question what just happened, something flew quickly out of my peripheral that was vaguely teal colored.

The thing I saw was heading straight for my Arma Gigis and the Queen Lancer.

The grimm fired its barbs at the… person? I don't know anyone who has a flying semblance. Or a blade on their right side? She's left-handed? Interesting.

The queen lancer fired more barbs at her to no avail as she deflected all of them.

In the blink of an eye, the wings were suddenly separated from the grimm, rolling off to the side to let my Arma Gigis get the final blow.

I glanced back at Achilles. Achilles looked about as shocked as I was.

I glanced back at where the grimm was to see that the teal stranger had started to fly up to us. Achilles and I backed up, both of us leveling our weapons at her as she touched down in the cargo hold.

She took a deep breath before she exclaimed "Thank Gods, that gets tiring after a while!" She then stretched her back with a slight groan. She mumbled "I really should have stretched before flying that way."

She was wearing a pair of teal boots that I couldn't tell if they were past her legs or not because her white jeans covered the top part. She had a teal belt around her waist with a white tank top and a teal. Complemented by a teal trench coat with patterns of black spots down the back, and some parts mint green and the underside colored white.

Her mask was the same colors, teal and white. Which, much like that mysterious red stranger, covered her eyes.

Her hair was a beautiful transition between her blonde roots and teal hair at the bottom of her long and wavy hair.

She seemed to have noticed my staring "You know it's impolite to stare at someone right?"

"Right.. Sorry!" I replied rather awkwardly.

However Achilles kept studying her with his rifle level at her. As if he was familiar with this woman.

She crossed her arms at him "And no, I'm not into men."

He shook his head "Wasn't insinuating otherwise."

She scoffed, "Using big words to seem intelligent."

Achilles shrugged "Overconfidence, a fool's substitute for bravery."

"Oh ho ho!" She sarcastically laughed. "I guess we are in the presence of a genius. Lemme guess you have an iPhone too?"

He shook his head "Dunno what that is."

I have to intervene if I want answers "Hey so what is your name?"

She turned to me with her hands on her hips as she answered "Call me Io." (Pronounced EE-oh)

Achilles made a subtle reaction of his eyes widening for a moment before he relaxed them. Something from his world maybe?

When I looked back she was gone.

When I looked back to Achilles he was gone.

How can both of them move so silently despite their outfits? Achilles with the metal in his boots and that girl with the loosened belt around her trench coat.

I caught back up to them on the flight deck where the pilot shared his grievance "Great now I have a third stowaway… Hope you have a plan once we get to Mistral because I'm not willing to cover for you."

She shrugged "That's fine, I wasn't gonna stay on long anyway."

The pilot groaned.

I then turned to the girl "So… Io was it? What are you?"

She crossed her arms and replied with a serious tone "If I told you, I'd have to kill you."

Achilles and I glanced at each other. Achilles has kept his finger off the trigger, but has not fully relaxed as he is standing in a position that he can level his rifle at Io if needed.

She then started to laugh "Oh you should have seen the look on your faces."

The pilot glanced back at us with a grimace.

She regained her composure. "Anyway, I can't tell you because it'd melt your brains or some junk."

Achilles sighed "Really? You think we're that fragile?"

She shook her head "No, well maybe… but it'd melt your brains into mush. It's not pretty, trust me."

Achilles gave an annoyed sigh "Sure. Anyway Io, why are you here?"

She shrugged "I was summoned. I was given a mission to watch and only interfere if necessary. That's all I'm going to say."

She then turned to the pilot "How long until you get to your destination?"

"Including that little detour? About an hour, which with the amount of fuel we have we will barely get there." He answered.

"And if we were in a jetstream?" She asked.

She shrugged, "It might help, but we'd lose what remaining fuel we have left due to the altitude limits."

She chuckled, "Don't worry about it."

Achilles glanced over at the flight controls and noticed something "Is it just me, or is airspeed increasing?"

The pilot finally noticed and lowered the thrust.

Io hummed as she walked to the back compartment where me and Achilles stowed ourselves. We joined her after we exchanged looks of confusion.

I think the same question rolled through our heads. Was she causing it?

{Aaron's perspective}

On the road again, it's been quite a while since I've heard from Justin so I texted him.

Hey man, you good?

He replied a minute later Um… yeah… something happened that you won't believe.

Try me.

He took an entire hour before he responded with The only thing I can say for certain is she isn't a maiden.

… what? Ok… then what is she?

He took a much shorter time to respond. I'm still trying to determine that. She keeps talking in circles. Like she knows to not give a direct answer. Or like she's hiding something.

So a female Ozpin, great. Wait, I just remembered Oscar is going to be in the story at some point. So this can't be… unless. You don't think he reincarnated into someone else right?

Nope. tested that.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN "TESTED THAT"?

Don't worry about it. She doesn't know anything about Remnant

WHY WOULD YOU ASK HER ABOUT REMNANT? THAT COULD MAKE US SUSPICIOUS!

Calm yourself. I made sure they were vague enough that anyone from Remnant would know.

This idiot… Fine… If you're sure…

Positive. Gtg, getting close to Mistral.

Wait, you didn't crash?

Nope :P saved by this woman

He then sent a picture of a woman with teal hair on the bottom of her hair with the same colored jacket.

Looks like a palette and gender swapped version of that guy in red at Beacon

He didn't respond after that. I guess he was busy.

{Weiss' perspective}

"Woah woah woah. What do you mean we're going to jump?" Achilles asked.

The woman who called herself Io shrugged. "I thought that was obvious. You two jump down to the ground while this pilot goes in for a standard approach. Don't look too suspicious and radar won't pick you two up since they're probably using secondary radar so there's very little possibility of you two being picked up."

The pilot nodded, "As much as I'd love to have you two come along, I can't risk my job. I got mouths to feed at home."

I nodded "I understand." I then grabbed Achilles' hand and made our way back down into the cargo bay as the pilot communicated with the ATC.

Io joined us a moment later and told us "He's been cleared to land, told to maintain 1,000 feet. Which means…"

The cargo bay doors opened. Achilles looked down at the ground below. Once again he had that look on his face. I do wonder what happened before he came to Remnant… Something had to happen in order for him to have that look on his face.

Well aside from Adam Taurus I don't think he told me if he had a fear of heights. Or if he did, he's good at hiding it.

"That's pretty high…" Achilles noted.

"Aww… is the badass man afraid of heights?" Io taunted.

"It's not the height that worries me. It's the sudden stop that does." Achilles retorted while pointing a finger at Io.

And I think I've had enough of this. I prepared a gravity glyph right next to him.

Achilles noticed immediately with his eyes focused on the gravity glyph he then barked "Weiss I swear to the gods if you dare I swear I will-"

I then used my gravity glyph to push him out the cargo bay.

He screamed on his descent.

Io glanced down at where Achilles was, then at me "Wasn't that a bit… harsh?" she asked.

I shrugged, "He'll forgive me later." I then jumped after him.

{Meanwhile on the ground}

It was a beautiful day in the park. There was a man selling cabbages, kids were playing, and a couple one blonde haired and blue eyed man linking his hands with a raven haired male cat faunus with amber eyes.

The faunus was shorter than the 6ft muscular man. But the faunus liked that.

"Such a beautiful day." The blond haired man remarked.

"Yeah…" The raven haired faunus replied.

The blonde haired man smiled at his companion. "Only one thing would make it better."

The blonde man got down on one knee and pulled a small box out from his leather jacket.

The raven haired faunus gasped with surprise "Akipiziri Onyx. Will you make me the happiest man on Remnant, and be my husband?"

Akipiziri nodded "Yes Tristan, I will!"

Everyone around them cheered as they embraced each other.

Which was interrupted by the sound of someone screaming above them.

Which eventually led to a loud crashing sound.

Everyone looked in the direction the sound came from.

A man dressed in crimson with a metal arm had fallen back first onto the cabbage cart.

The vendor yelled "MY CABBAGES!"

Just a moment after the Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company descended right next to him, using her glyphs as steps. She glanced down at the crimson cart smasher and said "Elegant as always Achilles."

The man apparently named Achilles raised his robot arm and strained to say "I will fucking kill you later." while at her.

The heiress replied "No you won't" as she helped him up.

Achilles then glanced at the people who were staring at them.

He noticed the couple in the center of the crowd who Tristan held Akipiziri close to protect him from the shrapnel of the cart.

Achilles then said "I'm interrupting something aren't I?" As he noticed the box that was in Tristan's hand.

He cleared his throat as he knocked the cabbage remains off his coat. "Well, congratulations to both of you. May your relationship strengthen through your union." And then grabbed the heiress' wrist and ran.
