It's Not Christmas Without You:
(Okay, I'm back with another one! Today, we'll be focusing on the other side of the Itos! I bet that'll be an adventure! I'm gonna base this off of my own experience with traveling on a vacation!)
Hiroshi was excited about this year. They were going to his parent's for Christmas this year! Evelyn had decided they left during this week so that it would be past a snowstorm over there.
"Do you think Grandad and Gran missed us?" His son Sunny had said. "I'm sure they have, sweetie. I bet they'd love to hear about how well you're doing in preschool, now. And that Mai knows how to use her Moves." Evelyn told her child. The young Froakie had sat up in his chair, while his baby brother had been playing with a small robot toy. "Kazuki, that's not how you're supposed to play with it. Here, you play with it like this." Sunny then grabbed the robot toy and squeezed its hand, and it played a nice little song. Kazuki reached out for it, but Sunny wouldn't give it to him. The baby Chespin had started to whine, he began sobbing a little. "Sunny." Hiroshi had sternly said his child's name. "Sorry, Kaz! Sorry, Dad." Sunny apologized, handing the toy back to Kazuki. "Mommy, why can't Kazuki play like I can?" Sunny asked.
"Because he's younger than you, Sunny. Kazuki still needs time to grow before he can even talk." Evelyn had said to her child. "He's just got a lot of growing up to do before he can play, son." Hiroshi told his son. "Oh, will he be able to play with me when he grows up, then?" Sunny asked, "Yeah, he will, raindrop." Hiroshi said, "You just gotta learn patience." Hiroshi, Evelyn and Sunny then heard the whining cries of their sleeping family member. "Why's it so loud?" A young Scorbunny had said, "Sorry, Mai. Kaz just got a little fussy cuz Sunny tried to show him his toy." Hiroshi said, handling the peace of it all.
"Tell Kaz to stop crying, then…" Mai said, clearly still annoyed from waking up.
(Later)
"Hotel! Hotel!" Mai and Sunny said excitedly. Evelyn held Kazuki in her hands, "Hold on, kids, Dad has to get the bags first. Stay with him whit I sign us in." Evelyn said to her older children. "All right, Kazzy. Let's go register." Evelyn had said, carrying Kazuki into the hotel building.
"Hi, Miss. Welcome in! What can I do for you?" The receptionist asked. "Hi, I booked an apartment-style room online. Evelyn Ito-Elliot, family of five." She introduced herself. "Evelyn Ito-Elliot. Oh! Your name's right here, ma'am!" The receptionist had said, handling the procedure with getting the key.
"Okay, Room 308 is your room." The receptionist said. "Thank you." Evelyn took the key from the receptionist and watched as her husband and children carried the bags into the hotel.
(Later)
Mai had been playing on the phone since she asked her Mom if she could. Mom had the baby in her hand and watched a movie with Sunny.
Dad was doing a nightly prayer before he went into the kitchen and got some berries to eat. "Dad, is Uncle Ahonui and Aunt Miyo gonna be there, too?" Mai asked. "They'll be there, kiddo. Yasuo will be there, too, Sunny. That sounds fun, right?" Hiroshi asked his son. "Uh-huh! Uh-huh!" Sunny had said. Evelyn felt a horrible whiff in her snout, it was a stinky one while Kazuki had soiled his diaper. "Oh, Kazzy!" Evelyn had said, "Come on, let's get your diaper changed…" She said, "Honey, can you help me get the diaper bag?" Evelyn had said. "Sure, dear." Hiroshi had said, looking for the diaper bag.
"Mommy, why don't we ever go see YOUR grandparents?" Sunny asked his mom. Evelyn didn't know what to say, if she could say anything at all.
"I-I…we…can't, sweetheart." Evelyn said, "Th-they're not…" she couldn't get a word in. All the memories she had, good and mostly bad. Regret began to sink in, "Mommy?" Sunny asked, "They're not…here anymore, sweetie." Evelyn had said. "They're…resting. And they'll be resting for a while now."
Sunny looked confused, "Why don't we just wake them up?" He asked. "They're very sound sleepers, raindrop." Hiroshi explained, giving the diaper bag to his wife."Thanks, baby." Evelyn said. "Anytime, my dear." Hiroshi had given his Delphox wife a kiss.
(Meanwhile)
Mai was on a FaceTime chat with some of her friends online. "Have you been playing any video games lately?" Mai asked the Mimikyu. "I got into that Five Nights at Freddy's game, but my sisters got mad at me for not finishing Zelda." Lorn had said to her.
"What about you, Mai? Have you had time to play games?" A Wattrel had asked her other friend, "Sorry, Ruthie, I haven't. My dad's been having me and my brother head on nature walks. Sunny seems to like them more than I do, though." Mai explained. "Makes me of when my Papa took me to the creek to go fishing." Lorn had said, his Pikachu disguise tilted a little.
"Oh, speaking of outside, honey. We have to head to the store for snacks. You wanna stay with Mom or head with me and your brother?" Hiroshi asked his daughter. "I'm okay, Dad. I'm talking to my friends." Mai had said.
Hiroshi nodded and picked up his son, "I'll take Kazzy, too, honey." the Greninja had taken the baby Chespin from the his wife. "You focus on resting with Mai, okay?" Hiroshi had said, giving his wife another smooch. "Ewww!" Sunny said, giggling. "Haha! You won't think kissing is gross in the future, raindrop." Hiroshi said. "Anyways, we'll be back. Here, Kazu." Hiroshi had then put Kazuki into a stroller and he and Sunny walked to go to the store.
(At the store)
The store was crowded. Such is the war zone that was Christmas shopping. Thankfully, most of the snack food was left unchecked. "Okay, how about we get some mochi?" Hiroshi asked. "Okay! Wait, I thought Mommy said you eat those too much." Sunny said, innocently. Hiroshi was then nervous at the idea of his wife getting angry with him. "O-Oh yeah, she did say that, huh…?" Hiroshi always had a sweet-tooth growing up, he loved everything he and his dad had baked, especially conchas and mochi.
"Anyways, let's get you kids some graham crackers. What do you want for your dinner tonight, Kazu?" Hiroshi asked his baby boy, "Babababpllllthhhh!" The baby Chespin babbled on, "Let's get you some sour berries." Hiroshi said to him, tickling the baby a little to make him laugh.
"Daddy, can we look at Christmas stuff here?" Sunny asked, "Yeah, we can. But we'll need to hurry to Mom and Mai with the snacks." Hiroshi said. "Okay, I wanna look at the cool lights they have!" Sunny then said to him.
(Meanwhile)
Mai had finished been playing on the tablet while her mom had laid down on the bed. "Oh, dye her hair purple next." Evelyn had said to her daughter. The young Scorbunny then dyed the character's hair purple and then she cut the hair to where it was more short.
"Here. I'll add pink to it, too." Mai had said, "So, are you excited to see your Gran and Grandad?" Evelyn asked. "Yeah, I like when we play outside their house." Mai said, excited to play in the snow. "Haha, well just remember to spend time with them, sweetie." She said to her daughter. "Okay…Did your mom like spending a lot of time with you, Mom?" Mai asked. Evelyn didn't know how to respond and brushed her ear.
"I can't say that she did, honey. I usually spent the holidays with my dad." Evelyn explained, "Well, how come we don't visit him, then?" Her daughter asked.
"I…I'm not sure where he is right now, dear." Evelyn said. "Does Uncle Vincy know?" Mai asked, "He said he's looking into it, but that might be a while, he's…balancing after taking in Felix." Evelyn was now worried for her brother, "Well, I hope you can go see him someday, Momma." Mai had said.
(A few more minutes later)
"We're back!" Hiroshi had said, with his wife and daughter then looking at the food they had brought home. "Okay, what do you buy this time, Hiro?" Evelyn had said. "I bought your favorite snack. Bitter-Berry yogurt!" Hiroshi held up a few cups of yogurts and desserts. "Oh my gosh, tell me you got us food, honey?" Evelyn said. "I did, I got us a regular cheese pizza!" Hiroshi explained, with Sunny putting the box on the table. "Come on, let's make your dinner, Kaz." Kazuki was put into his sitting chair and tried to reach for dad to hold him again.
Kazuki started crying when his desires weren't being fulfilled, "Daddy's arms are tired, Kaz. And YOU'VE gotta eat your dinner." Hiroshi said to his son.
"Go ahead and grab a plate, you two. Grab a slice of pizza." Evelyn said to her older children, before looking into the grocery bag filled with the mochi. "H-Honey, don't get mad…" Hiroshi had said, pleading for his wife to go easy on him. "O-Ohoho, I'm not going easy on you. You told me you'd cut back on the sweets, babe." Evelyn said, smirking happily.
(That night...I ran outta time cards.)
Evelyn and Hiroshi had a few things of mochi ice cream while the kids slept peacefully in their beds. "You know I'm still mad that you bought these, right?" Evelyn said to her husband. "I'm sorry, babe. You know my dad raised me to love sweets and baked goods." Hiroshi apologized, folding his arms reluctantly.
"I know…Haha, you really take after him." Evelyn said, "Yeah, and Ahonui took after Mom a lot. Minus the shapeshifting." Hiroshi said. Evelyn looked a little sad, and her husband realized what he had accidentally done. He put a hand on his wife's cheek, "I'm sorry, 'Lynnie. I didn't mean to—" Hiroshi had apologized. "I know you didn't, honey." Evelyn said, smiling sadly. "I know I always had a connection to Dad, but…still, my mom just…" Evelyn couldn't get a word in and Hiroshi had kissed his wife. "You can't change the past, my love." Hiroshi said, "It's okay to feel so much hate, but it's the matter of later letting it go that makes it okay." Evelyn had embraced her husband. "I'm sure Vin will find your father. But remember you're not alone, my love." Hiroshi said, happily. "I love you, Evelyn." Hiroshi said, "I love you, too. Hiroshi." Evelyn said to her husband. "Like Mom says, it's not an Ito Family Christmas without you or Miyo. But to me, mostly you." Hiroshi said, Evelyn giggled. "Thanks, dear." Evelyn began to smile again. What was she thinking? She had a family that she loved, and she spent the night glossing over what she didn't have. Hiroshi was right, she was an Ito now as well. It's wouldn't be Christmas without God or her family.
(Okay, this is a part 1. I hope u guys will like this. I know Klonoa Waddle Dee expected me to make more and it's thanks to him that I could come up with something. I didn't wanna focus on Hiroshi or his family next, but I didn't have an alternative. BT-Dubs, I already have an idea on who Hiroshi and Ahonui's parents are. Anyways, look forward. Stay strong and awesome! Hope you'll have a Merry Christmas!)
Isaiah 1:15-20 KJV:
15. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17. learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20. but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it./bible/1/isa.1.16.KJV
