i just want to scream and cry but i wanna dream and fly. my wings have been clipped though they have only just sprouted. the sirens get closer and i realise this is what its like to give up. no what it feels like to be given up on, when everyone leaves friends family, brothers, sisters. when it came to final moments its when everything finally left him alone. Poor dick Grayson, Bruce Wayne's adoptive ward was dying alone.

Alone that's what he's been this entire time, only now was the precious boy deemed sunshine knew what he was. No one wanted to save him, he tried to swim up and stop it but the ice was too thick to break through. The only thing that stops him from once again returning to the darkness is it no longer felt welcoming. It felt oppressive, he couldn't do much more then lay on the brink of light and darkness. His fate lied in anyone who cares hands.

(Flash back to 5 hours before this)

"Look I'm sorry scream and yell at me all you want I know you hate me." Dick says he let some guilt in his voice but not merely as much as the raven haired boy was feeling. His best friend screamed at him and punched him, Wally west the one nightwing trusted with his life was leaving and didn't want nightwing following.

"It was such a stupid mission! What if artimus didn't return! What if k'aller was a triple agent! Hell you probably didn't care! We were all just pawns in your little game!" Dicks best friend yelled voicing his anger. "Look Wally-" dick tried speaking only to be cut off by the copper hair boy who he considered a brother yell. "No don't look Wally me! They almost died and you sat back and watched! It should've been you that 'died' for the team! Not artimas not k'alder, you!"

Dick swears he could feel his heart rip in two as the final blow landed. "Don't come near the team again, if you do I'll make sure you won't return. Nightwing, we don't need or want you around here ever again, got it?" His best friend of 8 years didn't want him, but somehow he ended up speaking despite not trusting his voice properly. "Got it, sorry Wally."

As Dick walked out, a word that he didn't need super hearing to hear was muttered. "Classic Nightwing, the team's man whore..." A thought sprang up in his head: it was Dick's fault, wasn't it? All of it was. He should have tried harder. Stopping the thought train, Dick walked out and headed towards the zeta tubes. He set the location to Bloodhävën. But not before leaving a note in his old room. The note was a suicide letter. He was apologising one more time, though he knew it wouldn't be enough to cleanse him of his so-called 'sins'.

that brings us back to present moment where dick was laying in his bathroom his arms slit deep cuts covering his arms and a empty bottle of pills sat on his counter. Almost as if taunting him that he couldn't do anything right he couldnt save jason, tim, damian, wally, his mămă, his tătă no one. He couldn't even save himself from the hole he dug with the help of everyone around him. He couldn't climb out of the hole only to be dumped in a deep darker colder ocean as the battle for consciousness started. The world was bright but so full of dark, the dark was so dark and lonely. He wished he could've saved his brothers his family his friends.

--(p.o.v switch to roy)--

As roy entered the once warm and welcoming halls he feels something off, something cahnging that warm feeling into a cold distant one. As if on que tim ran out from nightwings room, wait somethings wrong. WAS HE CRYING?

As roy yelled for red robin it was like red robin was in his own world as he hyperventilates. His breaths ragged and shallow, he was pale as a ghost and tears streamed down his mask. Roy jogged over placing a hand on the boys shoulder trying hard to calm the boy down to no avail.

Roy's never been good at comforting people buf it wouldn't stop him from trying. "Hey, kid look at me. Breath with me. Breath in breath out." Roy said softly, as he listened to RR's breathing and it slowly evens out he asks what's wrong? Thats when Roy's whole world stops,as red robin chocks out.

"N-nightwing left a 'final' letter..."

Roy almost didnt want to know. But if his best friend was in trouble he would be damned not to help."what do you mean a final letter?" Roy asked curiosity taking the better of him.

"h-he left a suicide note... Roy he left a note..."

It felt like a train hit him, his best friend is trying to kill himself. Breathing was hard but Roy knew who he needed to call. Jason , he needed to know. But they cant get there fast enough, "fuck" as the archer realised

his best bet was wally the kid who everyone heard him yelling and disowning nightwing as a friend earlier today. He better help or Roys going to have to call Jason to hide a body instead.

"wheres wally Tim?" Roy asked urgency filling his voice. When red robin responded Roy didint hesitate to sprint off in the durection wally was. Roy didnt care what looks he got, didn't care what questions he was asked all he needs is his best friend, teamleader, the sunshine to keep on living. To not fall into the darkness..

As Roy partically threw the door off its hinges he spotted him. The copper haired boy, the one that will help. Roy panted as he spoke "wally, i need your help. You need to get to dicks appartment. Now."

wallys eye were full of anger in mere seconds even for a speedster it was fast. His tone was bitter as he spoke "why would i go to nightwings appartment? He screwed me over."

Roy was prepered to murder, hide and torture a speedster. "Because he needs your help-" Roy was cut off. "I dont care what in tye hell he needs i needed my life, i needed to be safe. He didnt care so why should i?"

Roy was ready to stab the speedster tgw only thing holding him back was the fact they needed him. "Dicks planning to kill himself wally" he stated fuming as he countinued"if yiy dont get your ass over there help him and put your past behind you right now u swear to fucking god not even bat man will be able to stomach your murder case." Roys tone gave the feeling the tension that he wasnt bluffing, and Wally knew that well. But the thing that made walky stop in his tracks was 'he planning to kill himself.'

Wally hated dick with all his heart but thats still his best friend, Wally didnt think twice before speeding off to dicks apartment so fast that almost every speedster could feel tye speedforce shift.

-over in the justice league meeting with barry-

Barry could feel the shift in speed force and sat up in his seat gaining both supermans and batmans attention almost immediately. "Do you have something to add flash?" Batman says hus voice gruff as he raises an eyebrow. "Nah i dont, just stretching." Barry says trying To feign nonchalantness. Batman picked up immediately but decided to drop it for now in favour of investigating him later and the meeting.

Little did he know or anyone know what was about to unfold.

--back with Roy, Wally and dick--

As wally busts down dicks apartment door he is greeted with silence. Nothing more then the hum of traffic creating a dangerous tranquility. Like tye tides retreating before the tsunami crahes down.

The apartment was clean all dicks stuff was put away for once. As wally moved around the house trying to find dick he noticed another note and before reading it he stuffed it in hus pocket. "Dick?!" Wally shouts "where are you?! Dick?!" Wally sped around tye house finally approaching the bathroom to find it locked, the last thing he wanted was his best friend- wait no his ex-best friend to die, to kill himself.

"Dick! Open the door! Now!" Wally waited and hus heart dropped once heard nothing moving, not even breathing. Maybe hus heart beat was covering it but wally didnt care at this time.

Wally grabbed the doors handle twisted again before bargaining inside and what he saw made his heart drop once agian.

Dick was on the floor his arms with deep cuts and a deep red painting them. His breathing was ragged he was barely awake let alone alive.

Wally swear death was at the door waiting watching, prepering to take the final grayson. Wally wouldnt allow it. Even if he lost a year with hus girlfriend and his life he couldnt loss his best friend.

Dick was fading out of consciousness as the cuts kept bleeding wally had to tear out of his position. "Dick.." was all he could muster out as he rushed to his best friends side.

Wally kneled before dick as he started fading "d-dick just.. just hold on for a little longer.." wally said pleadingly "please.."

Death was at the door watching and waiting to claim the final grayson.

wally cafefully took dick into his arms trying not to aggravate the wounds anymore the. They already were.

Dicks eyes were hazy and he had a hard tome distinguishing noises, textures, feelings but the second he heard wally he knew his-... his ex-best friend was here much to dicks confusion.

"w-wally?" He trued to muster out but it came out as a small gasp. When wally took dick in hus arms he felt.. safe. Something he hasnt felt in years, by the person who hated his guts. But when wallys pleading tone broke dicks thoughts dick was on a mission to not let the darkness, to not let this oppresion be the end of the graysons.

The speedster sped to the hospital that was already full of patiants. everyone turned heads when the lovable kid flash and dick grayson entered.

Gasps were heard mumbling started as people saw the state he was in. Nurses rushed in and time became a blur for both the speedster and the grayson.

A couple hours later and wally was sitting down tapping his leg faster then anytime before. Until of course jason, Tim and Roy bust in. "Where is he?" Jason demanded. "I- hes still being treated.." wally said.

"when will he be out?" Roy spoke anger leaking into his tone enough to make jason turn hus head and wally ashamed. "Any minute now.." wally said his emotions almost fully on show.

Tim was quite, jason was worried, Roy was ready to grab jasons gun and shoot whoever made dick do this.

News started spreading that bruce waynes eldest adoptive ward is in emergency through someone tipping off a news station. And pf course this news gets to alfred,damain brabra and the rest of the bat family includding bruce.

(As said earlier Bruce/ batman was in a justice league meeting how will this play out no one knows)
