Title: Rematch! Percy VS. Spencer, Part 2

The duel between Percy and Spencer was going strong. However, Percy was stuck with monsters that have low ATK because of the 'Crush Card Virus' Trap Card Spencer used early on—although Percy used a combo to make his 'Swordsman of Landstar' more powerful than before… However, it wouldn't last for much longer.

"Hey, Spencer!" called Percy (LP: 2400), "I didn't get this far in Battle City for nothing, y'know?"

Spencer (LP: 2600) kept himself calm. The crowd, meanwhile, was happy that Percy managed a brief comeback.

"Good move, Percy!" praised Ryan.

"You can do it, man!" added James R..

"You've become a much better duelist, Percy," remarked Thomas, as, back on the field, Percy listened, "If only Marik hadn't set that duel in that semi-finals match as a Shadow Game… You'd be the one I would face in the finals instead."

"Thanks, Thomas," Percy smiled back, "I promise to mop the floor with this guy."

"It would seem you have gained some level of skill throughout this tournament," stated Spencer, unfazed, "But even if you did, it won't be enough to beat me!"

Percy scoffed, "Oh yeah? Care to tell me why, hotshot?"

"Because I'm one of the best duelists in the world!" gloated Spencer, "I will not lose to someone like you! Furthermore, all you have left in your Deck are weak monsters thanks to my 'Crush Card Virus' infecting the ones with 1500 or more ATK!" As he (Spencer) finished ranting, Percy listened carefully, "You can't rely on luck forever!"

Percy grimaced at being reminded of that detail and gazed down at his Duel Disk.

"It's true… I can't use my stronger monsters like 'Panther Warrior' and 'Rocket Warrior' thanks to his Trap Card," thought Percy, "But I can't give up. Spencer would never let me live it down," He looked up and spoke aloud, "No matter what, I'm going to defeat you and get the respect I deserve! Just you wait!"

"Go for it, Percy!" encouraged Michael.

"Teach that jerk some manners!" requested Carlie.

Percy nodded, while Spencer gave a light snort in amusement.

"Fine, I'll just have to show you that your strength is nowhere near mine" The silver-haired boy promised, "It's my turn!" He drew a card, "Draw!"

Turn Five: Spencer Gresley (LP: 2600)
Deck: 52
Current Hand (4): "Paladin of White Dragon", "Hidden Armory", "Ancient Lamp", and "Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands"

His drawn card was a Monster Card called 'Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands', causing him to smile with malicious intent.

"As a matter of fact, I'll show you your worst nightmare!" beamed Spencer.

"My worst nightmare?" repeated Percy.

"I Summon 'Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands' in Attack Position!" cried Spencer, placing his drawn card ('Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands') onto his Duel Disk.

Appearing on the field was a freaky green-skinned monster that consisted almost entirely of several large hands (Level: 4/ATK: 1400/DEF: 1000).

"Damn! That's support for Ritual Monsters!" wailed James.

"When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: I can…" explained Spencer, taking his Deck out of the Duel Disk to look over, "…add 1 Ritual Monster or 1 Ritual Spell from my Deck to my hand!"

"Say what? Any Ritual Spell or Ritual Monster?" gasped Percy.

Some of the cards shown while Spencer searched his Deck were 'Possessed Dark Soul', 'Burst Breath', 'White Dragon Ritual', 'Spear Dragon', 'Kaibaman', 'Absorb Spell', and 'Twin-Headed Behemoth'. Seeing what he wanted, he picked the third shown card ('White Dragon Ritual'), shuffled the Deck, and placed it back in the Duel Disk.

"Watch carefully," suggested Spencer, as he slotted the added card into his Duel Disk and pressed a button, "I activate the Ritual Spell!" The 'White Dragon Ritual' Spell Card flipped face-up and revealed itself, "'White Dragon Ritual'!"

"Not that one! 'White Dragon Ritual'?!" worried Percy.

In the stands…

"This card is used to Ritual Summon 'Paladin of White Dragon'. I must also…" The voice of Spencer revealed, as, back on the field, he started to show which monster he was going to give up, "…Tribute monsters from my hand or field whose total Levels equal 4 or more," He held up his 'Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands' Effect Monster Card, "I Tribute Level 4 'Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands'!" 'Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands' faded away in a blue streak, and appearing on the field was a human knight wielding a sword and riding a white dragon (Level: 4/ATK: 1900/DEF: 1200), "I Ritual Summon 'Paladin of White Dragon' in Attack Position!"

"That's not good! Spencer's monster has 1900 ATK!" panicked James, remembering Spencer's monster from before.

"Battle!" shouted Spencer, as 'Paladin of White Dragon' flew towards 'Swordsman of Landstar' and impaled the weaker monster with the sword, "'Paladin of White Dragon' attacks 'Swordsman of Landstar'! Darkout Sacred Spear!"

'Swordsman of Landstar' instantly shattered into shards of glass, and Percy grimaced from taking rather big damage from the attack (LP: 2400 → 1000).

"And now, I'll activate my monster's second effect!" boomed Spencer, "I can Tribute this card; I must Special Summon 1 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' from my hand or Deck," 'Paladin of White Dragon' faded away in a blue streak, "but 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' cannot attack for the rest of this turn!" He finally held up a card ('Blue-Eyes White Dragon') taken from his Deck, "Come forth, 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!"

Appearing on the field in a burst of light, was the destructive, white-scaled dragon (Level: 8/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500). Percy was now sweating bullets, and, nearby, so was the crowd.

"And so 'Blue-Eyes' shows itself," gulped Ben.

"But it's not too bad," reminded Edward, "Thanks to 'Paladin of White Dragon's' second effect, it can't attack this turn."

"Then he's safe," Toby sighed in relief.

"But for how long?" asked Molly.

Back on the field, Percy just watched on defiantly even as 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' roared at him.

"I'm not an ordinary duelist," he thought to himself, "I'm not!"

(elsewhere…)

Atop the Duel Tower, Dark Marik was there waiting for the rest of the group to arrive so the final duel of Thomas's life could begin. He had been to the blimp earlier for something, which was to likely threaten Emily… Right now, however, Dark Marik was more focused on his Millennium Rod.

"This Millennium Rod should not have responded to Thomas, Emily, and Spencer," grumbled Dark Marik, "It is mine, and mine alone!" He then looked directly at the Millennium Item in anger, "I demand to see for myself the same vision Thomas Billinton, Emily Stirling, Spencer Gresley each saw!"

The Millennium Rod did not obey the command. Growing highly infuriated, Dark Marik shook the Rod roughly for a response… but nothing happened. Swearing aloud in sheer frustration, he tossed the Millennium Item aside like it was useless.

"Stupid piece of garbage!" cursed Dark Marik.

The Millennium Rod slid across the platform—until it stopped by the feet of a familiar face. It was Mavis (possessed). Dark Marik noticed her and gave an almost flirting-like smile.

"Well, well, well," said Dark Marik with slight amusement, "And what would bring someone like you up here all alone without protection? Perhaps you're here just to see me?" He watched as Mavis (possessed) silently bent over and picked up the Millennium Rod, "Oh? I wouldn't pick that up if I were you. You don't know where it's been," Wanting what was rightfully his back, he started walking over, "Give it to me."

But Mavis did not listen. She then raised her head and showed her dull eyes.

"Hmm?" wondered Dark Marik, raising an eyebrow.

Suddenly, the Millennium Rod started glowing. Dark Marik gasped before a blast struck him and sent him soaring back until he hit the wall.

"H-How?!" grunted Dark Marik painfully, managing to recover, "Wait, you're-!"

Mavis (possessed) just glared in total silence.

(elsewhere…)

Back outside the Duel Tower, Thomas felt his Millennium Puzzle beginning to glow.

"What's going on?" Thomas wondered to himself.

Matt was the first to notice his younger friend looking surprised.

"What's the matter, Thomas?" pressed Matt.

"My puzzle is reacting to something nearby," answered Thomas, "I have to go check it out!"

With that said, the blue-haired boy raced off towards the Duel Tower before anyone could respond. Back on the field, Percy noticed Thomas leaving.

"H-Hey!" protested Percy, "Come back!"

"You don't need Billinton if you're a True Duelist like you say you are," cut in Spencer, and getting Percy's attention, "Finish this duel! That is, unless you're scared without your best friend being around."

Percy scowled, but decided to comply with a quick nod.

"Good. I end my turn!" concluded Spencer.

"Here I come!" announced Percy, drawing a card, "Draw!"

Turn Six: Percy Avonside (LP: 1000)
Deck: 34
Current Hand (3): "Polymerization", "Battle Warrior", and "Baby Dragon"

Yet again, he got a bad draw. With nothing left to lose, he took the center card and readied it.

"From my hand, I'll…" said Percy unhappily, before placing the card ('Battle Warrior') onto his Duel Disk (sideways), "…Summon 'Battle Warrior' in Defense Position!"

Appearing on the field was the monk-like fighter, getting into a defensive stance (Level: 3/ATK: 700/DEF: 1000). With the crowd…

"Not too good," groaned Henry.

"Darn it! Can't Percy do better than that?" complained Gordon.

"Unfortunately not," rebutted Zack, "Due to 'Crush Card Virus', Percy is stuck with monsters that have less than 1500 ATK—and he can't Summon any strong monsters from his GY."

Back on the field…

"Is that your best?" laughed Spencer, "If so, then this duel is as good as mine. It's to the point I almost regret bringing out 'Blue-Eyes'…" Percy scowled over his (Spencer) taunting, "…against an ordinary duelist like you!"

"Ordinary duelist…! Stop calling me that!" demanded Percy irritably.

"Heh! It's my turn!" proclaimed Spencer, drawing a card, "Draw!"

Turn Seven: Spencer Gresley (LP: 2600)
Deck: 49
Current Hand (3): "Hidden Armory", "Ancient Lamp", and "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"

Already with the advantage, Spencer had countless ways to make things worse for the opponent.

"I activate the Spell Card, 'Hidden Armory'!" said Spencer, slotting a card ('Hidden Armory') into his Duel Disk.

The mentioned Spell Card materialized face-up on the field and started glowing all white.

"'Hidden Armory'?" blinked Percy.

"I must send the top card of my Deck to the GY; I must…" While explaining the effect, Spencer had takem the top card of his Deck and revealed it ('Enemy Controller') before sending it to the GY and causing another card to eject from the center of the Deck for him to take and add to his hand—which contained 'Ancient Lamp' and 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', "…add 1 Equip Spell from my Deck or GY to my hand. I cannot Normal Summon/Set the turn I activate this card."

The card he added was an Equip Spell called 'Kaiser Lance'(!). From there, Spencer entered the Battle Phase and gave the battle command.

"'Blue-Eyes', wipe 'Battle Warrior' off the face of the Earth!" ordered Spencer, as 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' opened its mouth, "Burst Stream of Destruction!"

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' obeyed, firing its signature attack at Percy's vulnerable monster.

(elsewhere…)

Atop the Duel Tower, Mavis (possessed) was threatening Dark Marik with the Millennium Rod, while the latter let out a chuckle of a sort.

"So you're using this pretty young girl to do your bidding, my weaker self?" figured Dark Marik.

"Yes," Mavis (possessed) confirmed in Light Marik's voice, "I came here to put an end to you permanently. If I have to kill in order to do so, then I will!"

"You fool!" snapped Dark Marik, "If you destroy me, then in the process, you will destroy your own body."

"At this point, I don't care!" bellowed Light Marik, who appeared as an spirit beside Mavis (possessed) "Everything I've done has been unforgivable, so I'm willing to die to ensure you're gone forever!"

"Then let me ask you one thing… If you do destroy us both, what will happen to 'our' Honorable Big Sister?" smirked Dark Marik sadistically.

Mavis (possessed) halted, as Light Marik let out a small gasp. Oh, but Dark Marik didn't let up his verbal assault…

"You promised her that you would make a better future for you two and Odion," accused Dark Marik, "But how will you be able to keep that promise if you kill yourself?" When Light Marik made no effort to speak up, he (Dark Marik) went on, "And speaking of poor Odion? What about him?" He kept smiling while breaking his enemy, "If you're gone, what would he do if ever learned that he had failed to protect you?"

"O-Odion," uttered Light Marik.

While Mavis (possessed) was distracted, Dark Marik used this as a chance to take back his Millennium Rod. He seized her by the wrist with his left hand and gave a very tight squeeze which caused Mavis (possessed), while crying out in pain, to drop the Millennium Rod into the evil man's right hand. Quickly, with the item back in his possession, Dark Marik aimed the tip of the Millennium Rod at the face of Mavis (possessed).

"You're too soft," Dark Marik stated coldly, "It's no 'wonder' I'm so much better than you as a personality."

He then attempted to push Mavis (possessed) off the edge of the tower using the Millennium Rod to force her back. Dark Marik chuckled evilly, while Mavis (possessed) grimaced. All of a sudden, the Sudrian teenage girl grabbed the railing and leaped up until she was balancing herself on it. Dark Marik attempted to knock her off with a swipe from the Millennium Rod, but missed when Mavis (possessed), much like an athlete, managed to flip herself over the evil man's head and land on her feet skillfully.

"My, oh my, what an agile body you have!" commented Dark Marik. He then readied his Millennium Rod once more, "But still…!"

Dark Marik used the Millennium Rod's power to pin Mavis (possessed) to the middle of the floor with no escape as she grunted and exclaimed wordlessly.

"What…are you going to do with me?" stammered Mavis (possessed), talking in Light Marik's voice.

A sick, sinister snicker came from Dark Marik as his Millennium Rod began glowing once more.

"I'd like some alone time with this girl; you'd just get in the way," replied Dark Marik, turning up the power of the Millennium Rod, "For now, I'll just temporarily remove you from the action."

The image of Light Marik faded away as he cried out in pain and surprise, thus freeing Mavis from his control. Mavis's eyes began to open.

"W-Where…?" began Mavis, before her vision cleared up and, in her POV, she saw Dark Marik, "Y-You!"

Dark Marik was smirking lecherously at her, while Mavis struggled to get up but found herself unable to move a muscle due to the Millennium Rod's power.

"Surprise!" greeted Dark Marik in welcome, "I'm so glad you're awake, now."

"How the hell did I get here?!" fretted Mavis, not knowing what happened, "All I remember was watching Percy's duel, but-"

"Ah, ah! That's my little secret," teased Dark Marik, while kneeling down until he was barely sitting atop of Mavis and they were seeing eye-to-eye. His voice was also growing more and more repulsive and sick sounding, "I have you now, my pretty—all for my personal amusement until the big duel."

Mavis, upon those very words, immediately realized what Dark Marik was planning on doing to her and grew incredibly terrified as a result.

"No!" she shrieked, beginning to struggle more, "Get away from me, you creep!"

Just then, her mouth started to glow all gold. It immediately closed itself to prevent her from screaming. Dark Marik started to laugh like a deranged rapist as he took off the handle from the Millennium Rod, unsheathing the hidden dagger feature. Once that was done, he slid the dagger under Mavis's shirt in an attempt to tear it open. But just before Dark Marik could even proceed to have his way with Mavis…

"Stop this at once!" The voice of Ishizu yelled.

No longer smiling, Dark Marik frowned, carefully pulled the dagger out of Mavis's shirt, and looked to the doorway leading to the staircase. It was Ishizu, and she was not looking happy in the slightest.

"Well, well, well…" commented Dark Marik, as he stood back up and faced Ishizu, "If it isn't my Honorable Big Sister… How nice to see you up here."

"I will not stand by while you threaten innocent people like this," frowned Ishizu, standing her ground.

"I don't think you realize you're messing with the wrong person here," corrected Dark Marik, while placing the handle back on the Millennium Rod, "Besides, what hope do you even have of stopping me? You have no Millennium Item, or did you already forget that detail?"

Ishizu scowled (a rare moment for her).

"You're no fun," pouted Dark Marik, before holding his still glowing Millennium Rod up and at Ishizu, "Forget 'this' girl. Perhaps I should dispose of 'you' as well!" He giggled, "After all, you have no way to protect yourself the way you are now!"

Ishizu, while glowing all gold, was suddenly thrown against the nearby wall.

"Ishizu!" cried Mavis, now able to speak once more.

Unfortunately, like Mavis seconds ago, Ishizu couldn't move an inch. She was truly stuck on the wall. Dark Marik cackled some more as he started to approach slowly while licking his lips repulsively.

"Once again, you're far too beautiful to just kill straight out," remarked Dark Marik grossly.

He moved closer and closer, but…

"Keep your filthy hands off them, Marik!" The voice of Thomas hollered in anger.

"Man, oh man! I keep getting interrupted today," joked Dark Marik, but was secretly annoyed, "Can't I ever have fun in peace?"

But, to his great delight, the voice belonged to Thomas. Thomas Billinton had just arrived, his Millennium Puzzle was glowing all gold, there was a glowing Millennium Eye symbol laced on his forehead, and he was looking 'seriously' pissed off! And… were Dark Marik's eyes playing tricks on him (Dark Marik), or was there a slight aura of darkness surrounding Thomas? And was there 'always' a red tint to his (Thomas) eyes? Dark Marik grew more excited with the sight.

"Oh, 'Your Highness'!" called Dark Marik sarcastically, "What brings you up here?"

Thomas gazed silently at the evil man with fiery anger burning in his blood.

"Are you here to challenge me so soon? The duel doesn't start for another hour," reminded Dark Marik.

"If it means wiping heartless slime like you off the face of the earth, then so be it!" growled Thomas, "Marik, I'm not going to allow you to cause any more problems!"

Both Millennium Items were glowing and a cloud of darkness began to form. Both duelists were gazing hatefully at each other, ready to settle things for good. Mavis, while still laying on the ground, managed to lift her head up and watch. Nearby on the wall, Ishizu managed to look in the direction of the impending Shadow Game—but then, the darkness faded as Dark Marik shook his head.

"No… not yet," Dark Marik refused with slight disinterest, closing his eyes with a small smile, "It would be far too boring to kill you 'this' way. I've already thought long and hard on the 'perfect' Shadow Game for when the time really comes to us to duel," He (Dark Marik) then walked passed Thomas with a quiet snicker while on his way to the exit, "We'll start the show in due time, so wait patiently while you still have your head!"

Dark Marik walked down the stairs while cackling psychotically. In addition, with the Millennium Rod no longer within sight, Mavis and Ishizu were both freed from the Millennium Item's binding power. Snapping out of his enraged look, the shadow around Thomas faded.

"Mavis! Ishizu!" exclaimed Thomas, beginning to run over to see if Ishizu was hurt, "Are you two alright?"

Ishizu slowly limped over. Thankfully, she wasn't badly hurt.

"Y-Yes," The young Egyptian woman answered, pained but okay, "Thank you."

But Mavis was shaking like a leaf, and looked like she wanted to cry after that absolutely horrifying moment she nearly experienced from that deranged psychopath (getting raped by him, that is).

"Mavis?" peeped Thomas quietly, walking over to Mavis, "Are you-?"

"N-No… Marik was 'this' close to violating me," shuddered Mavis, while finally letting her emotions out, "I was so scared… So scared… There was no one else here to help me before Ishizu arrived."

Thomas approached Mavis, knelt down to her level, and embraced her with a comforting hug as she sobbed softly.

"Shh, it's alright, Mavis," soothed Thomas comfortingly, "You're safe, now."

He then looked towards the doorway leading to the staircase, the same one Dark Marik went down. At this point, Thomas was never willing to forgive Dark Marik for everything he (Dark Marik) has done.

"Mark my words, Marik," Thomas thought only to himself, "I promise you, I'm going to make you pay for everything you have done!" Suddenly, he remembered something about his troubled friend, "Oh, right! How did you even get up here, Mavis?"

Mavis, after managing to calm down, braced a hand onto her forehead like a headache was coming on.

"I…don't know," replied Mavis, as faded clips to what she was describing were superimposed over her, "I remember watching the duel between Percy and Spencer… but then I suddenly blacked out," The clips soon stopped, as Thomas listened to her, "When I woke up, I was lying on the platform about to be sexually assaulted by Marik."

Thomas knew that something was fishy about the way Mavis mentioned what happened. Hoping Ishizu would have the answer, he then looked over to her.

"Ishizu, did you notice anything strange about her?" wondered Thomas.

Ishizu was looking rather quiet. It was like she knew the answer, but didn't want to tell Thomas without risking something.

"I can't really say to be honest," lied Ishizu.

Thomas was disappointed to say the least, suspecting that she was not telling him the full truth, but it was then Ishizu looked at him with the most pleading look in her eyes that he ever did see from someone as stoic as her.

"Thomas… I have a favor I'd like to ask of you," began Ishizu.

"What is it?" asked Thomas, raising an eyebrow.

"You must…find a way to save my brother from his dark half!" begged Ishizu, looking like she wanted to cry, "I can't bear the thought of losing another family member!"

(elsewhere…)

Below the Duel Tower, Burst Stream of Destruction from 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' finally struck and destroyed 'Battle Warrior'.

"'Battle Warrior' has been destroyed!" bragged Spencer.

"Ngh…" thought Percy in disappointment.

Everyone else in the audience watched in dismay.

"My turn is over," finished Spencer, "If you ask me, an ordinary duelist such as yourself has no chance of defeating someone like me."

"I'll beat you yet!" insisted Percy, "I swear it!" He drew a card, "It's my turn! Draw!"

Turn Eight: Percy Avonside (LP: 1000)
Deck: 33
Current Hand (3): "Polymerization", "Baby Dragon", and "Roll of Fate"

Upon seeing his drawn card…

"Yes!" thought Percy, "I can use this to help mount a counterattack—I hope," He slotted the card into an empty Spell & Trap Zone on his Duel Disk, "I activate the Spell Card," A Spell Card called 'Roll of Fate' materialized face-up on the field, "'Roll of Fate'!"

"Another worthless Gamble-like card…" grumbled Spencer.

Over with the audience…

"This could help him," realized Discord.

"With only weak monsters serving him, Percy will need to draw good Spells and Traps to turn things around," recalled James R..

Back on the field…

"I must roll a six-sided die. I must draw cards equal to the result, then banish an equal number of cards from the top of my Deck," explained Percy, as a small dice was created and thrown into the air from the face-up 'Roll of Fate' Spell Card, "Go!"

"It will never work!" thought Spencer.

Everyone watched the die start to fall to the ground. At long last, the die landed on the ground, rolled around, and stopped on a…

"I rolled six!" cheered Percy, drawing six cards, "Now I draw six cards and banish the top six cards of my Deck!"

Before looking at the cards he'd added to his hand, Percy looked over the six cards he now had to banish from the top of his Deck. Those cards were 'Marauding Captain' (Effect Monster Card), 'Shield & Sword' (Spell Card), 'Copycat' (Effect Monster Card), 'Mad Sword Beast' (Effect Monster Card), 'Trap Hole of Spikes' (Trap Card), and 'Giant Trunade' (Spell Card). Some of those were his best Spell and Trap Cards.

"By the pathetic expression on your face, I'd say you lost what few decent cards you had left," The voice of Spencer teased. He looked mighty pleased with the outcome, "That's what happens when you rely entirely on luck rather than actual skill!"

Unfortunately, with so many of his strongest monsters already gone thanks to the 'Crush Card Virus' Trap Card, losing those six cards as well was quite damning for Percy in his current situation, but he knew he had to hope that the six cards he had added to his hand would be just as helpful in mounting a comeback.

"Huh?" blinked Percy.

The cards he had drawn were 'Emergency Provisions' (Spell Card), 'Graverobber' (Trap Card), 'Scapegoat' (Spell Card), 'Little-Winguard' (Effect Monster Card), 'Nutrient Z' (Trap Card), and 'Monster Reborn' (Spell Card).

"So, did you draw anything you remotely needed?" called Spencer.

Percy quietly gave a snicker—before erupting into full-blown laughter.

"Oh, don't worry! I've gotten 'exactly' what I need to win!" confirmed Percy, slotting three of his cards into separate Spell & Trap Zones on his Duel Disk, "First, I'll Set three cards face-down," Three face-down cards materialized on the field. Not being done, he took and placed another card ('Little-Winguard') onto his Duel Disk (sideways) "Next, I'll Summon 'Little-Winguard' in Defense Position."

Appearing on the field was the tiny warrior-like monster (Level: 4/ATK: 1400/DEF: 1800). At that point, a Spell Card called 'Emergency Provisions' materialized face-up on the field.

"Finally, I'll activate the Quick-Play Spell, 'Emergency Provisions'!" The voice of Percy went on, as the last of the above scenario played out. He was shown with two fingers pressed on another Spell & Trap Zone, "I must send any number of other Spells/Traps I control to the GY; I must gain 1000 LP for each card sent to the GY this way!" One Set card ('Polymerization') faded away in a blue streak, "I send the middle card to the GY!"

Percy confidently gained his LP (LP: 1000 → 2000), knowing that his ultimate plan was prepared and ready to be sprung.

"I end my turn," finished Percy.

"Hmph! Having more LP won't protect you from my onslaught!" countered Spencer, "In fact, I'll have you beaten on this turn!" He drew a card, "It's my turn!"

Turn Nine: Spencer Gresley (LP: 2600)
Deck: 46
Current Hand (4): "Ancient Lamp", "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "Kaiser Lance", and "Kaiser Sea Horse"

His drawn card was the 'Kaiser Sea Horse' Effect Monster Card, which was another strong monster he (Spencer) could use to destroy Percy.

"I Summon 'Kaiser Sea Horse' in Attack Position!" cried Spencer, placing his card ('Kaiser Sea Horse') onto his Duel Disk.

Appearing on the field was the purplish seahorse-like warrior (Level: 4/ATK: 1700/DEF: 1650).

"Now, I'm well aware your 'Little-Winguard' has more DEF than 'Kaiser Sea Horse's' ATK," remembered Spencer, taking another card ('Kaiser Lance') from his hand and holding it out, "From my hand, I'll activate the Equip Spell, 'Kaiser Lance'!"

The mentioned Spell Card materialized face-up on the field behind 'Kaiser Sea Horse'.

"I must equip only to 'Kaiser Sea Horse'. It gains 200 ATK!" exclaimed Spencer.

The lance in 'Kaiser Sea Horse's' hands started glowing and beoming a more powerful weapon of destruction, giving it a brief power boost (ATK: 1700 → 1900).

"If 'Kaiser Sea Horse' attacks first…" began Ryan.

"Percy will be attacked by 'Blue-Eyes'…" put in James.

"…and he'll be defeated!" finished Ben.

Back on the field…

"Battle! 'Kaiser Sea Horse'," commanded Spencer, entering the Battle Phase, "attack 'Little-Winguard' with your Kaiser Lance!"

'Kaiser Sea Horse' obeyed the command and lunged forward. 'Little-Winguard' was impaled by the weapon and shattered into shards of glass. Suddenly, the brand new lance the seahorse-like monster was wielding vanished away (ATK: 1900 → 1700).

"Hey, why's your monster's weapon gone?" quizzed Percy.

"That's easy… I activate the second effect of 'Kaiser Lance'," replied Spencer, sending his 'Kaiser Lance' Spell Card to the GY, "If the equipped monster destroys an opponent's monster and sends it to the GY: I can send this face-up card to the GY; I must…" He drew another card, "…draw 1 card."

Percy grimaced from hearing that. Spencer added his drawn card to his hand and grinned at his impending victory.

"Not like it matters all that much…" Spencer dismissed arrogantly, "This duel is already mine! 'Blue-Eyes', attack Percy directly!" Once again, as he announced the attack name, 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' opened its mouth to attack, "Burst Stream of Destruction!"

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' obeyed, charging and firing a blast towards Percy.

"Oh no!" wailed Percy, obviously sounding sarcastic, "What am I gonna do? It's all over…!" He then laughed aloud and pressed a button on his Duel Disk, "Just kidding! Face-down card, open!" His first Set card (the right one) flipped face-up and revealed itself, "'Scapegoat'!"

Four 'Sheep Tokens' emerged from the face-up card to block the direct attack (Level: 1/ATK: 0/DEF: 0) x4.

"What?!" exclaimed Spencer.

Burst Stream of Destruction struck and vaporized one of the four 'Sheep Tokens', saving Percy from certain defeat.

"Tada!" said Percy cheekily, "I had this baby all Set in case you tried something like that! I must Special Summon 4 'Sheep Tokens' in Defense Position. They cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon."

The audience sighed in relief.

"Why does he have to go and pull stuff like that?" Gordon muttered unhappily.

"Yeah…" agreed Henry.

Back on the field, Spencer quickly recovered and closed his eyes while chuckling to himself.

"Heh! Figures that a weakling would hide behind other weaklings," mocked Spencer, closing his eyes for a few seconds. He then opened his eyes fiercely, "Either way, they won't be of any help to you! I'll get through those remaining 'Sheep Tokens' soon enough! Once I do…"

"No, you won't!" Percy interrupted, as Spencer listened with disinterest, "Thanks to 'Scapegoat' buying me some time, I can finally perform my big move!"

"What?"

"This is the turn where I turn things around!" The green-haired boy vowed, "It's my turn!" He was shown drawing a card, "Draw!"

Turn Ten: Percy Avonside (LP: 2000)
Deck: 20
Current Hand (4): "Baby Dragon", "Nutrient Z", "Monster Reborn", and "Knight of Landstar"

His hand contained 'Baby Dragon', 'Nutrient Z', 'Monster Reborn', and the drawn 'Knight of Landstar'.

"Okay, Richie Rich, I will show you! The ultimate resurrection combo!" began Percy, as he pressed a button on his Duel Disk, "For the first half of my move, I'll activate a Trap Card!" His final face-down card flipped up and revealed itself, "'Graverobber'!"

Out of the face-up Trap Card and onto the field, came the little man with grave-robbing equipment.

"I must choose 1 card from my opponent's GY; depending on the type of card taken, the following effect can be applied," said Percy.

These were the following effects on the Trap Card:
-"Monster: I must Special Summon the monster to my field, ignoring its Summoning Conditions."
-"Spell/Trap: I must activate the Spell/Trap effect as if it were my own."

Spencer gasped, watching as the little robber cackled, took out a card ('Enemy Controller'), and turned it over.

"My 'Enemy Controller'!" objected Spencer, "How did you-?"

"Hey, hey, hey! You know a skilled thief never reveals his secrets," cracked Percy, obviously referring to the thief from the 'Graverobber' Trap Card, "Okay, not really. You revealed your card as the cost for activating 'Hidden Armory' earlier on."

Spencer, looking at his GY, growled in response. Just as the controller from (what else?) the 'Enemy Controller' Spell Card appeared on the field in-front of Percy.

"I must pay 1000 LP; I must activate 1 of these effects," continued Percy.

These were the effects written on the Spell Card in-question:
-"I must target 1 face-up monster my opponent controls; I must destroy that target!"
-"I must target 1 face-up monster my opponent controls; I must take control of that target until the End Phase!"

"Percy can-!" Henry started to say.

"Hold on there, Henry!" rebutted Percy, "I don't plan on taking control of Spencer's 'Blue-Eyes' that easily," He faced his opponent, "No, I've a far better idea," It was then he gave the controller a command, "Up, Left, Down, Right, A!"

The controller put in the commands—just before sending out a long cable to plug into the chest of 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'.

"With that command put in, one of your monsters is destroyed!" grinned Percy (LP: 2000 → 1000), making a throat slashing gesture, "Like your beloved 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', Spencer!"

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' roared in pain as it got electrocuted by the controller, and exploded into nothingness before too long.

"My 'Blue-Eyes'!" cried Spencer in horror, before scowling at Percy in frustration, "How dare you!"

"I also activate 'Monster Reborn'!" continued Percy, holding up his 'Monster Reborn' Spell Card, "The monster I obviously want…" As he (Percy) spoke on, a card ('Blue-Eyes White Dragon') emerged from Spencer's GY, "…is from your GY!"

"WHAT?!" freaked out Spencer.

"Come forth, 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!" yelled Percy triumphantly.

The destroyed 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' appeared on Percy's field in a burst of light, roaring loudly to signal its arrival (Level: 8/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500). It was a move that NO ONE, not even Spencer, had expected to see happen, at all.

"Did…Percy just Summon one of my cousin's 'Blue-Eyes White Dragons'?" Gordon gawked.

"He did," confirmed Toby.

"That was a seriously good move," nodded Matt, "Since Percy can't use his 'own' powerful monsters because of 'Crush Card Virus', he'll use 'Spencer's' monsters instead!"

"Awesome play, Percy!" cheered Liz.

Nearby, Skiff, Mr. Gresley (Boxford), and Mrs. Gresley (Boxford) were likewise surprised.

"Big Brother," muttered Skiff, "I didn't see this coming."

Back on the field, Percy was overjoyed with getting control of such a powerful monster.

"Do you see? This is the ultimate combo with 'Graverobber' and 'Monster Reborn'!" beamed Percy, before entering the Battle Phase, "I use 'Blue-Eyes' to attack your 'Kaiser Sea Horse'!" As he announced the attack name, 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' opened its mouth and charged an attack, "Burst Stream of Destruction!"

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' fired off another burst of white electrical energy, this time at Spencer's field. 'Kaiser Sea Horse' was destroyed by the attack. Spencer, while taking a large amount of damage, did not look happy at all in seeing Percy in control of one of his (Spencer) precious 'Blue-Eyes White Dragons'. In fact, scratch him not being happy, he (Spencer) was beyond furious that Percy, whom he (Spencer) always saw as nothing but a weak, deadbeat duelist, had gone and taken one of them. A feeling of rage began to fill his heart.

"How dare you…" whispered Spencer (LP: 2600 → 1300), shaking hard and barely concealing the anger in his tone as he raised his voice, "How dare you use my own 'Blue-Eyes' against me?! I will not forgive this humiliation!"

"Hehehe! One more attack like that, and you're finished," assured Percy proudly, giggling, just before the 'Knight of Landstar' Normal Monster Card materialized on the field (sideways), "I Summon 'Knight of Landstar' in Defense Position!"

Appearing on the field in a defensive stance was a cartoon-like warrior that wore medieval armor (Level: 3/ATK: 1000/DEF: 1200).

"The last move! I Set one card face-down!" concluded Percy, slotting a card into his Duel Disk. A face-down card appeared on the field, "I end my turn! How's that? We don't know what's gonna happen till the very end of the duel! That's why we fight until the end without giving up!"

"You will pay for this, Avonside!" seethed Spencer, continuing to tremble with fury, "Do you hear me?!" Percy appeared to flinch from his (Spencer) rage, hate-filled words, "YOU'LL PAY!"

The crowd was completely surprised at Spencer's anger over the situation.

"Whoa, someone's a little cranky," remarked James.

"I've never seen Spencer look so furious before," admitted Molly.

"Even under the effects of 'Crush Card Virus', Percy is doing well against Spencer," praised Michael.

Back on the field, Spencer was still seething—his (Spencer) eyes were full of malice towards Percy.

"You will not get away with this, you ordinary duelist," threatened Spencer, before drawing a card, "Draw!"

Turn Eleven: Spencer Gresley (LP: 1300)
Deck: 44
Current Hand (4): "Ancient Lamp", "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "Command Silencer", and "La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp"

His hand currently contained 'Ancient Lamp', 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', 'Command Silencer', and the drawn 'La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp'.

"I Set one card face-down!" started Spencer, taking and slotting a card into his Duel Disk. Then he placed another card ('Ancient Lamp') onto a Monster Zone (sideways), "Also, I'll Summon 'Ancient Lamp' in Defense Position!"

A face-down card appeared on the field, while also appearing on the field was a large genie lamp of sorts (Level: 3/ATK: 900/DEF: 1400).

"'Ancient Lamp'? That's so boring!" yawned Percy, "Let me show you a far better move!" He drew a card, "Draw!"

Turn Twelve: Percy Avonside (LP: 1000)
Deck: 19
Current Hand (2): "Baby Dragon" and "Sasuke Samurai"

The Battle Phase began.

"As long as I control your 'Blue-Eyes', I'm totally in the zone!" boasted Percy, before issuing the command, "'Blue-Eyes', attack that 'Ancient Lamp'!"

'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' obeyed by opening its mouth and starting to charge up… Unfortunately for Percy, Spencer was ready for the attack.

"What's that?" asked Spencer mockingly, "I didn't seem to quite hear you!" The silver-haired boy's face-down card flipped face-up and revealed itself, "Face-down card, open! 'Command Silencer', activate!"

The large totem pole emerged from the face-up Spell Card onto the field, and let out a mighty shriek from the two speakers.

"AUGH! My ears!" wailed Percy, covering his ears from the noise.

Everyone else, including Skiff, Mr. Gresley (Boxford), and Mrs. Gresley (Boxford), grimaced and covered their ears from the screeching sound, too.

"What…is…that?!" Gordon yelled through the noise.

"My ears! I think they're gonna bleed from the sound!" screeched James.

Back on the field…

"When an opponent's monster declares an attack: I must end the Battle Phase, then draw 1 card," stated Spencer.

Percy's 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' stopped charging up its attack before it could be completed and launched. The totem pole then shattered apart and allowed Spencer to draw a card.

"Augh! My attack failed… I'll just have to get him next turn," Percy grumbled, displeased by his failed attack, "My turn is over."

Turn Thirteen: Spencer Gresley (LP: 1300)
Deck: 42
Current Hand (4): "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp", "Monster Reborn", and "Thunder Dragon"

Spencer looked at his drawn card for a moment before looking over to the 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' on his opponent's field.

"'Blue-Eyes'… I can't stand to see you remain on Percy's field," thought Spencer, "If he plans to try and control you, I'll just destroy you with my very own hands!" When Percy braced himself (Percy) for what was coming, he (Spencer) added the drawn card into the hand and took a different one, "I activate 'Ancient Lamp's' first effect!" It was then he held up the new card for a few seconds before turning it ('La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp') over, "During my Main Phase: I can Special Summon 'La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp' from my hand! Emerge, and serve your master!"

In a puff of green smoke from 'Ancient Lamp', a green genie emerged with both arms folded and a cocky chuckle (Level: 4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1000).

"He has two monsters?" gasped Percy, "You can't…! Not 'another' one…!"

"I Tribute both of…" raged Spencer, as both 'Ancient Lamp' and 'La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp' faded away in streaks of blue, "…my monsters!" He took another card ('Blue-Eyes White Dragon'), held it up, then placed it onto his Duel Disk, "Come forth, 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!"

The card materialized face-down on the field before flipping face-up and revealing itself—just in time for 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' to emerge from the card with an almighty roar (Level: 8/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500). When that happened, Spencer folded his arms and laughed evilly as his 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' faced the 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' on the opponent's field.

"How's that, scrub?" taunted Spencer viciously.

"Uh-oh," mumbled Percy, knowing this wasn't going to be pretty, "A second 'Blue-Eyes'!"

The Battle Phase commenced…

"'Blue-Eyes', put your kin out of its misery!" thundered Spencer, completely taken over by anger and the want of revenge. As he announced the attack name, his 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' opened its mouth and fired an attack, "Burst Stream of Destruction!"

"Fight back!" panicked Percy, ordering his own 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'.

Percy's 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' opened its mouth and fired off Burst Stream of Destruction. Both attacks collided, but they were equal in strength—forcing both monsters to destroy the other.

"Damn, what a guy…!" complained Percy, recoiling from the backlash of the destruction of both monsters, "Did he go nuts just because he didn't like the fact that I was controlling his 'Blue-Eyes'?!"

The smoke soon cleared away. Back with the crowd…

"Now why'd he go and do a thing like that?" Gordon mused, doing so in a puzzled tone.

"Damn right! Now Spencer's wide open for a direct attack," added James.

Back on the field…

"I'd rather see my 'Blue-Eyes White Dragons' in the GY than rot in a hand like 'yours', Percy!" sneered Spencer, "Besides, my turn's not quite done yet," He took another card from his hand, "Did you think you were the only one capable of reviving the dead?"

"What?!" flinched Percy.

"I activate 'Monster Reborn'!" Spencer went on, turning his card ('Monster Reborn') over. He placed his retrieved card onto a Monster Zone on his Duel Disk, "Resurrect, 'Blue-Eyes'!" In the background, an enlarged image of the 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' Normal Monster Card flipped face-up and revealed itself while he raised his right hand upward, "Return to your true master!"

One of the destroyed 'Blue-Eyes White Dragons' reappeared on the field with a roar (Level: 8/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500). Now poor Percy was right back to square one.

"Spencer also had 'Monster Reborn' in his hand?" worried Percy.

"You'll never use my 'Blue-Eyes' for your own means again!" warned Spencer, before pointing forth with his left hand (with the Duel Disk), "Now that 'Blue-Eyes' is back in the hands of its real master… you'll taste true terror!"

"Okay! Okay! Sheesh, man, take it easy! Don't get so worked up over a little card," Percy scolded, a little annoyed.

Hearing that only infuriated Spencer more than he already was. That damn Percy Avonside obviously had no idea about the connection Spencer had with 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'.

"You dare call my 'Blue-Eyes' a little card?!" growled Spencer, "You just don't get it, do you? This card represents my pride and soul as a duelist!" The crowd gasped, but he was far from being done, "I'm the 'only' one with the skill to wield a 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!" As he (Spencer) finished raging to the opponent, Percy nervously listened on, "And now you'll find out just how much skill I'm talking about! Get ready to lose to us again, Percy!"
