Mahou Sensei Ichigo

Welcome, everyone, to the second chapter of this arc. This chapter will continue from the last chapter, except during the night. And like I said, it is not Makie who will be attacked, it will be someone else. And you will find out who. Another thing that I didn't mention is that someone from Ichigo's class will also be involved a lot in this arc, and I purposedly left them out of the trailer. But before we begin, I believe I owe you all an apology. Since the last update, several incidents popped up, like my grandfather's health. His kidneys had collapsed, and it was a stressing time for me. Luckily, he is doing much better. Secondly, I have been having many technical issues with my laptop. As I type this now, I'm using a different keyboard than my laptop's actual one as most of my keys are no longer working. And my other reason for not updating is regrettably my own laziness. So I apologize for that, my dear readers. And now let us not delay, and unto the chapter!

I do not own Bleach or Mahou Sensei Negima!. They belong to the respective owners of Tite Kubo (Bleach), Ken Akamatsu (Negima) and any other characters belong to their respective owners, nor do I own any of the songs that are in this chapter. Chapter 19: Vampiric Attacks

Natsumi was running late from her shopping, grumbling about the older students who were arguing with the cashiers.

"Mou~! Why were they doing that? They knew I was behind them! Did they do this as payback for the dodgeball game a few months back?"

Stomping her foot down, she noticed she was walking through the path with Sakura trees on either side. Looking up, she couldn't help but notice that something seemed off. Looking up, she saw that the moon was a full moon, but for some reason, it was blood red. And then she saw a shadowy figure sitting on one of the lampposts. And the last thing she saw was said figure flying towards her, eyes glowing red and sharp teeth descending towards her. All she could do was scream in terror.

"KYAAAAAAAAAA!"

It was the start of a new day as Negi, Makie, Ako, Konoka, Asuna and Momo were walking together. The street was a little crowded due to many students heading to their classes of the new term beginning.

"The new term is finally starting." Asuna said with a grin.

"And we'll be starting as 3rd year students from now on, right?" Makie giggles as walks with her arms behind her head.

"That's correct, Makie-san." Negi nods with a cheerful smile.

"And it's all thanks to Negi-kun!" Konaka agreed as she petted the young boy on the head, said action causing Negi to blush.

"We'll be in your care now, Negi-sensei!" Ako nodded whilst smiling happily as they walked forwards.

'I should be able to handle this teaching job a lot more now that I have experience under my belt!' Negi thought as he smiled more. 'This year should be a lot of fun and very easy! Soon I'll become a great Mage in no time!'

Little did Negi and many of our cast know how wrong he was…

Konoka then leaned closer so that only Negi, Makie and Asuna could hear what she was about to say.

"Ne, Negi-kun, is it really ok for you to not look for a Partner?"

Negi looked surprise, but laughed it off.

"I still think it's too early for me to decide on that, Konoka-san. Right now, I need to focus on being a teacher."

As this was being said, a familiar male with orange hair walked up to join them, his expression neutral. Following him was Mana and Zazie. And for some reason, Poyo as well. She was dressed in the school uniform, though it was a few sizes too small for her. Mana's expression was showing that she was amused whilst the mostly stoic Zazie had her left eye twitching.

"Oya? Zazie-san, who's this lookalike?" Konoka asked as she gazed at Poyo curiously.

Poyo had a sly grin as she gazed at Konoka, Asuna and Negi.

"Fumu, looks like my little sister has an interesting class. I look forward to watching.'

"Nee-sama…"

"Fumu, looks like she's getting mad again fufufu~"

And with that, Poyo jumped up to grab a nearby lamppost and swing around it till she got the momentum to jump onto a nearby building and disappear, much to the chagrin of those who witnessed.

"Rainyday… your sister is weird…' Ichigo finally spoke up.

"I know…" Was all Zazie said.

As soon as Negi changed the sign of 2A and replaced it with 3A, most of the class erupted into cheers, with Yue and Chisame not looking impressed whilst Negi had a sheepish smile.

With that said, Negi stood as tall as he could despite his age, gaining everyone's attention.
"I am now officially your teacher for the third year, Class a. My name is Negi Springfield and I will be your home and English teacher from here until March next year. It will be a pleasure to teach you all."

It was at this point that everyone smiled and talked amongst each other. All except for one, who was glaring at Negi. This caused him to notice. As soon as he made eye contact with the one glaring at him, she looked away. Curious, Negi looked at his roster to identify the culprit.

'That girl… it says here she is seat number 26, Evangeline A.K. McDowell-san… she's a part of the Hikaru no Go and tea ceremony clubs. Huh, I wonder what Hikaru no Go is? And here, Takamichi said to talk to her when she is troubled? I wonder what he meant?'

He was awoken from his thoughts when Shizuna knocked on the door of his open door.

"Negi-sensei. Today is the school health checkup. Please tell everyone in 3-A to prepare accordingly."

And with that, Shizuna left, heading to the next classes to alert the other teachers.

Ichigo had just finished greeting his students as an official teacher. He gazed at Ritsuka, who was looking longingly at the empty seat next to her where Mashu normally sat. Hikari also noticed this and walked up to the desk, getting Ichigo's attention.

"Sensei, do you know where Kyrielight-san is?"

This question gained everyone's attention just as Shizuna was about to enter.

"Kyrielight had to report back home due to some health issues, that is what her… mother had informed me. She should be back tomorrow or the day later."

Hikari nodded at this before looking over to the entrance once Shizuna knocked, gaining everyone's attention.

"Kurosaki-sensei, today is the school health checkup. Please let everyone know."

And with that, Shizuna left. Looking back to his class, he nodded to Hikari.

"Alright, everyone needs to be ready to do a health inspection. Yagami, I'll leave it to you."

After saying this, all the girls stood up and begun unbuttoning their uniforms. Seeing this, Ichigo got up and left the class, not feeling comfortable. Standing outside, he looked to his left to see Negi further down the hall. Looking to his right, he could see Akashi-sensei, Yuna's father, smiling sheepishly at him. Snorting, Ichigo patiently waits whilst his class begun measuring each other's height, weight and bust size.

As everyone was standing around in their underwear, Haruna was looking around curiously.

"Hm? That's strange, Natsumi-chan isn't here. Hey, Chizuru, do you know where Natsumi-chan is?"

"Maybe she pretend sleep in -aru~" Ku-fei joked whilst pressing her back against Haruna's own back, making both girls giggle.

"Ara ara, you shouldn't joke like that Ku-san. No, Natsumi-chan collapsed of a fever and is currently in the infirmary." Chizuru answered, a worried expression on her face.

Meanwhile, Ayaka was freaking out after Sakurako teased her about her weight. All while Misa had a thoughtful look on her face.

"I wonder, maybe it has to do with that rumour that was spreading around the dorms?"

"Which rumour is this, Kakizaki?" Asuna asked as she looked over at Misa.

"The rumour of the Vampire in Sakura Lane~!" Risa laughed as she grabbed Mio from behind, freaking said girl out.

This made Ritsuka and Hikari grimace for certain reasons.

"They say when the moon is full, it appears amongst the row of Sakura trees near the dorms…" Ritsu continued, making Mio moan in despair as she covers her ears so to not hear Ritsu's words, all while having everyone's attention. "Wrapped in dark clothes… a BLOOD SUCKING VAMPIRE~!"

Everyone laughed whilst Mio escaped Ritsu's grip and cowered in the corner, making others laugh harder.

"Tainaka-san, that wasn't fair for Akiyama-san…" Hikari giggled as she went to console her freaked out classmate.

As this was being said, Karin Maaka didn't look happy as she was having her breasts measured by Aoi. This caused Aoi to cock a curious eyebrow.

As Sakurako, Misa, Makie and Konoka were making jokes about Vampires and Chupacabras, Asuna shook her head in amusement.

"You guys…. There's no way that rumour can be true… stop talking about nonsense and let's continue to get this health checkup over with."

"Fufu~ I wouldn't say that if I were you, Kagurazaka Asuna." A voice said from behind Asuna, making her and a few others look behind the orange-haired girl in surprise at Evangeline. "They say that the Vampire in the rumours loves energetic and cheerful girls like you~. You should be careful~ fufufufu~~"

Asuna couldn't form any words due to her surprise.

"Wow, Eva-chan rarely says anything to us…" Sakurako mused.

As this was going on, a worried Shizuna guided Ichigo and Negi to the infirmary to where a Natsuki was sleeping, her breathing a little shallow and her skin pale. Ichigo immediately looked for medical supplies whilst Negi gazed at her in concern.

"You said Natsuki-san was found in Sakura Lane on the floor with her groceries spread around her?" Negi asked whilst rubbing his chin.

With Shizuka's head nodding in confirmation, Negi went into deep thought whilst Ichigo checked her pulse.

'No, something isn't right here… it's very weak, but I can sense some kind of magic on Natsuki-san. What could this mean? Is there someone else here that I'm not aware of that can use magic….?'

Ichigo raised an eyebrow as he watched Negi examine Natsuki.

"Hey Springfield."

'I've never felt this kind of power before, not even in Library Island… I wonder what this could mean…?'

Ichigo frowned more as he watched Negi. Gently tapping his head, he brought the young Mage out of his trance.

"I know that look, Springfield. You suspect foul play here, don't you?"

"Not at all! There's no need to worry, Ichigo-san. Natsuki-san is just a bit anaemic. She just needs rest."

Ichigo's eyes widened at this. He never suspected blood loss to be involved. Taking a closer look, he agreed with Negi's hypothesis that she was indeed anaemic. Though he frowned more at this.

'What the hell…. She definitely is looking like she lost blood, and then there's rumours about a Vampire of all things going on. Something's definitely not right here…'

Later that evening, Momo was walking by herself. She had a small frown on her face after hearing the rumours and decided to investigate. Walking down Sakura Lane, she had her guard up as she was nearing the halfway point through the path.

As she walked, she suddenly jumped back as she saw a figure in a black robe and pointed hat appear out of nowhere on a lamppost. She couldn't see the figure's face clearly, but she could see their glowing red eyes and a cruel smile appear on their face.

"Seat Number 32, Hinamori Momo, isn't it?" The figure spoke, making Momo take a step back. "Sorry, but I'll be taking some of that tasty blood of yours~."

With that said, the figure descended towards Momo, making her eyes widen at how creepy it was.

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!"

Both Momo and the figure paused, turning to see Negi coming at them whilst flying on his staff. Negi's hand begun to clow, making Momo's eyes widen in surprise.

"Ras tel Ma Scir Magister! Undecim Spiritus Aeris Wincurm Fientis Iminicum Caputent!"

Momo could only gape as she saw a bright light gather around Negi's extended right hand. All whilst the figure took a step back as Negi finished his chanting.

"Sagitta Magika Air Captorae!"

As the beams of light shot towards the figure, Momo watched in surprise as the figure raised their hand, sensing a similar pressure coming from said figure akin to Negi's, except it wad darker and colder.

"Deflectio!"

Negi's spell collided with a barrier made from solid ice, making Negi grit his teeth in frustration whilst Momo jumped out the way, now a bystander in this new kind of fight she's never seen before.

'There's no mistaking it! Deflecting all of my spells, this is the culprit of Natsuki-san's attack!'

As the mist slowly faded away, both Negi and Momo's eyes widened in horror as the culprit turned out be Evangeline.

"Fufu~ that was a surprising good attack, boya~ such high magical power~" Evangeline smirked as she floated upwards and away from the two on the ground.

"Evangeline-san!?" "Eva-san!?"

"Fufu~~ it's the beginning of the term, after all, so let us exchange formal greetings, Sensei…" Evangeline smirked more as she gazed at Negi. "Or should I say, Negi Springfield, son of the Thousand Master, Nagi Springfield!" Evangeline would then notice that she had a small cut on her right index finger. With an amused expression, she licks her own blood whilst she flew away.

"Fufu~ to have such power despite being only 10… just as one would expect from that man's son…"

"Wait! WAIT!"

Negi's desperate calls fell on death ears as she disappeared from sight. It was only then Negi had remembered that there was someone else with him. Looking at Momo, his eyes were reduced to pinpricks as was gazing at him with shock and wonder.

"Oh dear…"

Yes, yes, I know: not much of Ichigo in this chapter. But don't forget, this arc is only in its early stages; its only 2 down from 13 chapters, so 11 more chapters to go. I will say that Ichigo will become more involved in chapter 22. So what did you all think of Natsumi being the one who was attacked instead of canon Makie at the beginning? And now Momo is finally aware! Another thing, whilst this chapter didn't have much of action, like in the original manga and anime, that will change later on. In the finale battle of this arc, I will extend the battle longer, so hopefully by then, my battle scenes will improve. Now, to the reviews!

bluehall: Remember, this story takes place many years after the Fullbringer arc, but before the 1000 Year Blood War. Ichigo doesn't know about his Quincy heritage yet. So no, he will not be able to do so, at least not at this point.

fluffy-fanfic-lover: It was on a hiatus, but now has been revived.

The next chapter will carry on from where we left, but with a few more additions to it. This is where I will be changing the lore more and more so that it isn't a copy-paste, but edited scenes of the manga.
