Arrival In Enchancia

Suddenly, Sofia heard the trumpets sounding.

"Sounds like King Caradoc and his family have arrived." Sofia observed.

"Oh no!" James groaned.

Sofia glanced at James, "What's wrong?" she asked.

"I don't want that royal pain in my neck to eat all the jiggly wiggly pudding that I'm helping Chef Andre make for dessert." James groaned.

"I take it you are referring to Prince Cuthbert?" Sofia guessed.

"Do you know any other royal pains in my neck, Sof?" James asked.

"Don't fret," Sofia said to James. "I'll make sure that little royal pest stays out of your hair."

"Thanks, Sof." James said.

"Anytime, James." Sofia said.

In the throne room, the royal party from Kippernium stood at the bottom of the thrones where King Roland and Queen Miranda were sitting and where Amber, James, and Sofia sat when they joined their parents in the throne room.

"Greetings, Caradoc! My old friend!" Roland exclaimed.

"Hello, Roland." King Caradoc greeted.

"How are you, Miranda?" Queen Gwendolyn asked.

"Very well, thank you, Gwendolyn." Queen Miranda answered.

Sofia entered the throne from the royal kitchen.

"Dinner will be ready shortly." Sofia reminded her mother and stepfather (adoptive father).

"Great," Roland said. "I'm starving!"

"Me too." Caradoc agreed.

"Sofia," Miranda requested. "would you mind letting Amber know that dinner is almost ready?"

"Of course, Mom." Sofia said.

Sofia started up the stairs toward Amber's bedroom.

When she was suddenly stopped, "Wait, Sofia! I would like to come with you!" the voice called.

Sofia turned to the owner of the voice, "You will have to ask your mother or your father, Lavinia." she said.

The Princess of Kippernium looked up at King Caradoc, "May I please join Sofia, Daddy-King?" she asked.

"Yes, you may." King Caradoc said to Princess Lavinia.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you lots, Daddy-King!" Princess Lavinia exclaimed.

Princess Lavinia raced to catch up with Sofia.

"No running in the castle, Sofia!" King Roland reminded.

The two princesses stopped dead in their tracks.

"Oops," Sofia called back. "so sorry, Dad!"
