Chapter 17
Her office was quiet, much like the entire Hyuuga Power and Electric building. All lights were off except the emergency ones above the stairs. As were the outside lights to illuminate all the doors around the building. The security alarms were set, and the cameras were positioned to catch anything out of the unordinary should anyone try to break in.
Soft, classical music filled the small office while Hinata sat on the couch with a glass of wine in her hand. The bottle on her desk was half empty, along with a lamp that was the only light source in the room. Hinata's pale violet eyes were fixated on the windows, watching the rainfall, the thunder rumble, and the lightning strikes, taking a sip of wine the odd time while watching the nature display. It was peaceful and calmed her inner thoughts, which were currently being tossed around like a tornado in a trailer park.
Hours ago, she had gone home to her apartment like her cousin had told her to, changed into a comfortable skirt and top, and then considered contacting Hanabi to spend the night at her place. However, she wasn't in the mood to see or talk to her sister for some reason. After the discussion she had with Neji, Hinata really just wanted to be alone. She had tried to relax in her apartment, but it just seemed that it reminded her of Naruto wherever she looked. The dining table where they ate together, the couch where they snuggled, and the bed where they slept or made love.
I can't stay here . . . I need to go somewhere else . . .
The first place she thought to go was her father's house; it was currently empty, and he wouldn't be back until Tuesday from his trip. But the thought of being alone in the house only made her feel more unhappy. So instead, she decided to go to the one place that always took her mind off of anything bothering her, the office.
After grabbing a sandwich and cappuccino at her favourite coffee shop, she headed back to the head office, where she knew her cousin and sister would be gone for the day. Sure enough, when she arrived at 4:30pm, the office was pretty much empty except for a few employees and the cleaning crew. Hinata then closed her office door and focused on completing her task of assigning the safety programs to their new hires.
While working, she had been receiving texts from Kiba. Originally it had been about spending the night at his girlfriend's while renovations were happening at his house. However, then it turned into him ranting about Tamaki's roommate not liking him staying over and that he would have to pay for a hotel for the weekend. Hinata had felt bad for him; hotels were usually more during the weekend, especially last minute, so she had offered her apartment up for him to use for the weekend.
I'll just spend the night at my father's house. I should text my dad's cousin later that I will be coming by so they don't have to check on the place tonight.
At 9pm, she had finally finished setting up the new employees, and by then, she was ready to just head home and fall into bed. But, as she was tidying up her office, she went to the larger cabinet to put some things away, and in the corner, she saw a bottle of wine with a glass. It was something she kept in her office just in case for special occasions, but as she stared at the unopened bottle, she figured one small glass before she went home couldn't hurt.
One glass had turned into two, then three, and now here she was on the couch going through over half the bottle. Hinata couldn't remember if she had ever drank this much before; however, she figured it was warranted somewhere in her mind.
A little bit after 10pm, Kiba suddenly called her, and she thought perhaps something was wrong at her apartment. He had seemed strange on the phone, asking about a movie so late in the evening. Then when she informed him that she wasn't at Hanabi's, his probing questions only irritated her even more. It was none of his concern where she was, and for once, she snapped at him for being so nosy before hanging up. Immediately he tried to call back, but she let it go to voice mail.
Hinata tried to keep her thoughts clear and just enjoy watching the rain with a glass of wine; however, as always, it slipped back to a specific blonde-haired electrician. Tears started to pool in her eyes, and she let out a frustrated sigh.
It had been tough on her the first year with him working away. She could tell he was stressed out from being gone for so long, especially after spending almost 80 days in Russia and Kazakhstan. However, his current work location had been the worst for many reasons. Hot weather, snakes, spiders, crocodiles, and not being able to come home to see her or his family or friends. The fact that he had snapped at her didn't bother really matter, but rather what he had said and accused her of.
"You seem so fucking happy without me being there! I'm sure you're getting really close to Toneri, and don't miss me at all! Fucking damn it! We should have just ended things months ago before I even got to Australia!"
Tears slipped down Hinata's cheeks as she took a rather long sip of the wine, almost emptying the entire glass. What he had said had hurt her deeply, and a part of her felt sorry for him that he thought those things. But first and foremost, what she felt was anger.
An anger she had never felt before.
She had been trying so hard to keep herself busy and preoccupied while he was gone, keeping her mind focused on other things. It seemed almost every day she was working overtime, then heading to the company gym before going home for a quick supper and then falling into her bed. During the weekends, she would go see her family and friends, but it was always the nights that were the worst.
Alone in her bed, Hinata would sometimes stare at the other side where Naruto usually lay. Her fingers would sometimes sweep the spot he would have been before grabbing her extra pillow and hugging it as if it were him. For the past few months, she cried herself to sleep at least twice a week, wishing that he was beside her again.
She also yearned for him deeply.
The longer he was away, the more her body craved for his touch and affection. Some nights she would have such vivid dreams of him in her bed, but only to wake up the next second with him gone. At first, she had merely put up with it and waited for his return. However, when he had been away for over 80 days, the pulsating ache in her body had been too much to contain. Never had she intentionally touched herself before unless Naruto was with her. The action alone had been embarrassing enough that she almost stopped; however, as her hands moved across her body and behind her closed eyes, it was Naruto that was touching her; she found her release quite swiftly.
As the days continued to add up while Naruto was in Australia, Hinata thought a great welcome home present for him, would be if she took a more initiative role in the bedroom. Usually, Naruto was the one to lead, and she followed his guidance. And while for her, just making love with the lights on was a huge step, she took the advice of her friends and bought the '365 Different Sex Positions'. While some were outrageous and just downright looked uncomfortable to perform, there were a few that did intrigue her. To top off her surprise for him, she had even returned to the lingerie store to pick out a few things that Naruto might like to see her in.
But then . . . he lost his temper and accused her of being happy without him . . .
Of getting close to another man other than him . . .
That he should have broken up with her almost three months ago . . .
A trembling sigh escaped her lips, followed by a soft choking sound as she tried to hold back her sobs.
I have been nothing but loyal to him. I've never thought of anyone else . . . and yet, he so easily feels that I would do such a thing on a whim.
What angered Hinata the most was that she had done nothing to deserve such allegations from him. One simple picture of her standing next to a business partner, who happened to have his arm wrapped around both her and Hanabi . . . and suddenly Naruto assumed she was getting close to another man and cheating on him.
After downing the remainder of her glass, she stood up slowly and went to her desk to pour another one.
Needless to say, after he had hung up on her, she had been undeniably confused. She tried to call him back a few times, but he wasn't answering any of her calls. That Saturday, she never left her apartment, only staying in her bed with tears and questions to which she wished she knew the answers.
The next day she attempted to call him again, but he never picked up. She even reached out to Sakura and Sasuke to see if they could get a hold of him. She kept quiet about the details of what had transpired between her and Naruto, but the sick feeling in her stomach only increased when Sakura told her she couldn't get in touch with him either.
Hinata had been mostly truthful with her cousin.
She was indeed worried that something had happened to him. The assumptions in her head ranged from that someone had stolen his phone, it was possibly broken, or perhaps he just didn't want to talk to anybody. As the days went on, she was almost tempted to contact his mother to see if he would respond to her, but Hinata figured the situation wasn't that desperate yet.
Before she had returned to the office this evening, Neji had been able to get in contact with Jiraiya and ask about Naruto's wellbeing. While the older electrician figured that the blonde electrician was fine, he would contact Orochimaru early the following day to see what was happening. While she was relieved that most likely nothing had happened to him, it still made her wonder why he wouldn't return anyone's calls at all.
And then, the fear she had pondered almost a week ago came slamming back into her.
Perhaps, Naruto wasn't actually mad at her but mad at himself.
Perhaps, he had done something that he felt guilty about and had thrown his anger at her as a self-defence coping mechanism.
Perhaps, HE had been the one to cave and kiss the lips of another woman.
Hinata would be called a liar if the thought hadn't crossed her mind before. However, it had only been seldom.
She knew how Naruto could sometimes get when he drank too much. His more jokester side would come out, but also his inability to respect people's personal space. He would hug strangers without even thinking about it, or sit too close to someone who wasn't even part of their group. Normally, this didn't bother Hinata at all, and she was the one to pull him away gently. While she didn't want to believe that Naruto would do such an act with someone else, it nevertheless started the nightmares that she constantly had for the past week. It ranged from Naruto suddenly showing up at her apartment wanting to confirm their breakup or her walking in on him being with another woman.
Without hesitation, Hinata tilted her head back and downed her wine in a matter of seconds. Then, after setting the glass down, her trembling fingers came up to wipe the tears from her eyes. She hated how this whole situation made her feel. She was angry and bitter at the one she loved most. Furious at the words he had said and upset he had caused her to have such negative thoughts.
A part of her wished what Neji had said would come true. That he would suddenly just show up, gifts in hand, and beg her to forgive him. Then this whole mess would be behind them, and everything could go back to the way it used to be. But then, there was the other side that didn't want to forgive him right away. It was a darker side that Hinata didn't know existed within her. Although the voice was very small, it told her that she shouldn't forgive him right away, that he needed to feel the pain he had caused her.
It was never in Hinata's nature to be mean or seek revenge on those who had hurt her. The voice only made itself known in situations where she had been deeply hurt. Like when her family had started to mend the past and start over, that ugly part of her had surfaced and said that she shouldn't forgive anyone. However, she ignored those negative words without hesitation and forgave her father, sister, uncle, and cousin.
But with Naruto . . . this feels almost different. He's seen a side of me that no one else has. He knows pretty much everything about me. He is my best friend, lover, and companion.
She looked down at the wine bottle in front of her.
He is both my poison and my wine . . . He can hurt me with just a few words . . . and yet he can make feel so wanted and loved with just a simple look of his eyes . . .
A wave of dizziness swept over her, and Hinata clutched the desk in front of her for balance. She knew that she had drank way too much and that it was probably best to stop. Putting the cork back into the top of the bottle, Hinata ever so slowly walked over to the large cabinet again, where she put the liquor back and grabbed her raincoat. Then, with the same snail's pace, she returned to her couch and grabbed her phone to check the time. It was past 10:30pm now, and she knew it was time to head to her childhood home.
Hinata leaned her head back to stare at the spinning ceiling. She immediately knew that she was in no condition to drive herself there, which left only two options. Either call a cab or spend the night in her office. It was something she had done before, especially if there was a deadline that needed to be met in less than 24 hours. While it was tempting to just roll her coat up as a pillow and rest her head down for the night, the couch wasn't exactly that comfortable to sleep on. Her more practical side voiced that she just wait a few minutes, take some deep breaths and then call a taxi to take her.
However, the longer she stayed like that, she could start to feel her mind slip into a deep slumber. Her body felt so relaxed, the soothing sound of the thunderstorm outside, she could feel herself falling into the land of sleep.
I don't want to fall asleep though . . . if I do . . . I'm going to have that dream again . . . I'll dream that he's here and he'll . . .
The sound of her office door opening caught Hinata's attention. Slowly, she opened her eyes and turned her head to see who the culprit was that had entered.
It was Naruto. He was completely drenched and staring at her with an astonished look on his face.
Ah, damn it . . . I fell asleep . . . I don't want to have this dream again . . .
Hinata sighed and turned her head back to look up at the ceiling. She prepared herself for a repeat of what had happened in previous dreams, the harsh words of Naruto saying they were breaking up. However, as the seconds ticked by, it remained eerily quiet. Finally, she opened her eyes again to see that he was still standing at her door, his expression now full of guilt.
Well . . . this is different . . .
She marvelled at how good her mind had quickly depicted how Naruto would look if he were to suddenly show up in front of her. His face was tanned, but she could see the visible lines where his sunglasses had been. The black shirt and jeans he wore were completely soaked from being out in the rain; she could clearly see his muscular form from how the wet t-shirt clung to him. His hair was also longer than before, almost to the length of when she had first met him. Her eyes then scaled the rest of him before coming back up to his blue eyes. She wasn't sure what exactly was going on, but this Naruto in her dreams almost seemed hesitant to approach her.
They stared at each other for a few more seconds, and then Hinata finally decided to break the silence. "What are you doing here?" She asked in a neutral tone.
Naruto flinched slightly, his eyes darting down to the floor while his mouth opened and closed wordlessly. From her perspective, it looked like he had been through hell and back emotionally. Finally, he spoke. "I came to find you. You weren't at your apartment, and after I talked with Kiba, I figured this was the most likely place you would be."
On any other given day, Hinata would have been extremely impressed that he had been able to figure that out on his own. However . . .
This is only a dream, so of course, he would suddenly be here.
Hinata wasn't sure where this was all going. It was already drastically different from any other nightmare she previously had. It seemed with this one she was more in control, which meant . . . she could do whatever she wanted without any consequences. Telling Naruto how furious she was at him was out of the question. However, this wasn't reality, meaning she could vent all her frustrations.
She pulled herself up into a proper seated position and gave him a stern look. "Naruto, you really upset me with what you said. I have been nothing but loyal to you; I've only ever had eyes on you since we first started working together. I know things have been rough on both of us while you've been gone, and yet, you so easily accuse me of being unfaithful over a picture at a company party."
Her boyfriend flinched, but his gaze never left hers while Hinata expressed her feelings.
"The way you easily snapped at me, it makes me wonder if . . . and I hate to admit that this even crossed my mind, but that perhaps you were the one that cheated and took your frustrations out on me."
Naruto's eyes became as wide as saucers, and in an instant, he was in front of her, grasping her hands in his, a painful look on his face. "No! No! Absolutely not! NO! I would never, ever do that!"
Hinata couldn't deny that it sort of felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders, but at the same time, it was only temporary because it wasn't real. She stared down at the man before her and asked the question that had been plaguing her for almost a week. "Then why? Why would you say something like that to me?"
He bit his lip momentarily, taking a moment to collect his thoughts before answering her. "It was a combination of things. I was frustrated and tired of being away for so long. Even though I got one day a week off, I couldn't spend it with any of my family or friends, or especially you. I missed you so much. The longer I was away, the more bad thoughts clouded my head. Usually, every time I came home to you, you would instantly clear that negative energy I was carrying in an instant. Without seeing you for almost three months, it just kept hovering over me like a dark cloud.
"You would send me pictures of spending time with your friends and family, which usually made me feel good that you were doing great, but at the same time, it made me feel like you were doing too great. Like, you didn't miss me at all. So I started to think that perhaps there was someone back home that was making you happy. I just felt so alone."
His last sentence came out almost like a choked sob, making her heart clench at the sorrow she felt behind his words. Hinata tried to keep her facial expressions neutral, but as he continued talking, she found it harder and harder not to just wrap her arms around him and forgive Naruto right then and there.
"That night you wanted to talk to me, I had a horrible day at work. I really should have just told you that we could talk the next day since I had it off, but I felt bad since we hadn't talked in over three days. I was just so angry and irritated, and when you showed me that picture of the company party . . . and the way Toneri had his arm wrapped around you, I just finally snapped. I said things I didn't mean at all and let my anger take over. As soon as the words left my mouth, I was angrier at myself more than anything, and I threw my phone against the wall." He released her one hand to reach into his jean pocket and pulled out his phone. Naruto handed it to her. "I broke it, which is why I wasn't able to contact you the next day. I'm pretty sure you tried to call me after I had my temper tantrum, but I headed down to the bar to get plastered drunk."
Hinata stared down at the electronic device. Her finger lightly pressed the home button, but it did nothing; the screen was also cracked. Everything he had just said made her want to believe him. Naruto was never the type to lie or make things up. Pale eyes finally looked back up at the man before her, and the desperate look he was giving made her want to forget all that had happened between them.
But this isn't real . . . Naruto isn't really here in my office right now . . .However, this is my dream; after all, I can do as I please here . . . so what do I want?
A part of her almost wanted to teach him a lesson or punish him somehow for his actions. The only answer that came to mind caused her to blush and look away from him. Sometimes, when they were out and about with friends, he would get teased by them, and she would laugh along with the crowd. Or perhaps she would say a funny comment that he said 'hurt' his feelings. Then, later on, he would 'punish' her for being so mean to him. Which usually meant him teasing her body with kisses and touches until she was writhing on the bed, begging for him to make love to her.
I've always wanted to pay him back for all those times . . . but I've never dared to be so bold and do something out of my comfort zone. However, with the wine I've consumed and this being a dream . . . I'm feeling rather daring right now . . .
"I screwed up big time, and I'm a huge idiot. I couldn't take being away from you any longer, so as soon I was done with my work on Wednesday, I hopped on the earliest flight possible and tried to make it back here as fast as I could to see you. I'm sorry, Hinata. I'm so sorry." He apologized, gripping her hands tightly in his as if almost begging her for forgiveness.
She continued to stare at him, trying to keep a straight face while the wheels in her head began to turn. Her eyes briefly glanced at her coat draped over the arm of the couch, the belt on it catching her attention. Then, with a plan formed, she looked back at him and said, "If you want me to forgive you, you have to do as I say for the next little bit and not question anything. Understand?"
Naruto's eyes widened momentarily, and he looked utterly confused, but he still nodded his head. "O-okay. I'll do anything that you ask me to."
Hinata could tell that he almost seemed scared. As if she were going to ask him to leave and never speak to her again. She decided to start off simple, "Stand up and take off your shirt."
He opened his mouth to question her, but she continued to give him a stern look, and soon he did as she asked, looking down at the wet garment questionably.
"Just place it on my office chair; it's leather, so it won't get soaked." Hinata instructed, and when he had done as she asked, her next instructions were, "Now turn around."
Blue eyes blinked down at her in bewilderment, but he did as he was told, and now Hinata was sitting there staring at his bareback. A shiver went down her spine at the sight of his lean muscles, and she wanted nothing more than to just run her hands over his warm skin. Biting her lip, Hinata reached for the coat belt and swiftly pulled it towards her. Standing up, she stood right behind the blonde electrician and said, "Don't move."
The moment her hand grasped his wrist, she visibly saw his body twitch and his head attempting to turn around and look at her to see what she was doing. Then, as quickly as she could, Hinata grabbed his other wrist and promptly bound them together. He didn't put up much of a fight, most likely heeding to her words and not wanting to screw up his chance of being forgiven.
However, he still voiced his concern to her. "H-Hinata? What are you doing?"
She didn't answer, and when she saw him make a small attempt to free himself from the restraints, she smiled upon seeing that he couldn't break free. Smiling to herself, Hinata walked around him so that she could look him directly in the eye. He seemed very confused and unsure of the situation he had just agreed to be a part of, but she only gave him a little smirk before pushing him towards the couch.
The backs of his legs hit the sofa, and he fell down onto the cushions. He stared up at her with wide eyes, and he tested the restraints around his arms again. "Hinata?"
Silently, she grabbed the bottom of her loose grey sweater and pulled it over her head, revealing to him a black tank top underneath. Hinata then kicked off her open-toe, flat sandals before moving to slide herself into Naruto's lap, straddling his hips.
"H-Hinata . . . w-wait . . ." he stammered in a hushed voice, trembling the moment she settled on top of him.
In previous encounters, they had never tried restraining the other; it was something that was entirely out of her comfort zone. However, this was his punishment. Naruto would always tell her how much he enjoyed touching her, and now he wouldn't be able to all.
She was the one in complete and utter control of his pleasure.
Pale violet eyes scanned his upper body, drinking in every contour of his handsome face and then down to his toned chest, biceps, and abs. Her hands came up and began to glide across his skin, causing him to take a shaky breath and quiver against her fingertips. Then, wanting to take this a step further, Hinata leaned down and began to plant kisses along his neck, exploring his bare skin with her hands and mouth.
Her name was a continuous mantra leaving his lips, along with sharp gasps and grunts as she began teasing him. Naruto was already beginning to squirm against her, but Hinata was only getting started. A loud rumble of thunder shook the sky just as Hinata's hands skimmed across his skin and moved up towards his head. As a crack of lightning illuminated the entire office, her fingers began massaging his scalp, which caused a throaty groan to leave her lovers mouth. The soft kisses she had planted on his neck turned to light nibbles and licks, especially when she reached his ear, lightly tugging on the lobe with her teeth.
Hinata suddenly realized why Naruto was so keen on teasing her all the time. The way his body shuddered due to her touch, the sounds he made echoing off the walls, the way his face was flushed, and the expressions he was making. . .
All because of me . . . the way I'm touching and teasing him, he's reacting like this because of me. If this is how he responds to just me touching and kissing him like this when he can't touch me in return . . . I wonder what would happen if I went a step further . . .
Feeling even more confident, Hinata gave his ear a final nibble while tugging on his blonde locks. Then, she slowly made her way down his body, leaving behind a trail of wet kisses and licks, pausing only momentarily to flick her tongue against his nipples.
"Ah, please . . . please Hinata . . . untie me, please!" Naruto tried to plead with her in a raspy voice, but his requests only fell on deaf ears.
She slid down, spreading his legs with her knee until they hit the floor, her fingers and head looming close to the waistline of his jeans. A deep blush spread across her cheeks at the physical reaction her touch had had on him. While she had felt it against her womanhood, it was different actually seeing it close up like this. She stared at the obvious bulge in his jeans, feeling her own body responding to his vocal and physical reactions.
Naruto continued to try and reason with her, begging that she remove his restraints and free his hands. However, his cries only pleased her more. It meant that her punishment was working. Wordlessly, she only looked up at him with a hooded gaze and ever so slowly began to unbutton his pants. He was panting heavily as if he had just run a marathon and couldn't catch his breath. Blue eyes were half-closed as he watched her gently begin to undress him, pulling his jeans and boxers down with a few tugs from her hands.
His manhood sprung up right before her, clearly showing Hinata how much he wanted her right now. However, she was only getting started with his pleasurable, torturous punishment. Resting her head on his thigh, her hands began to please him. Stroking his manhood with one while the other cupped the family jewels.
Naruto's head snapped back.
She watched in awe as his body convulsed and his hips bucked against her hands. When they had been making love in previous encounters, Naruto did react to her touches, but never anything like this. It caused a pulsating throb between her legs and made her wish that she was this bold in reality.
I should enjoy this as much as I possibly can . . . because the moment it's over, I'm going to wake up alone again . . .
At first, she had been satisfied with only touching him with her hands, but as her eyes shifted from his throbbing member up to his contorted face, Hinata came to the conclusion that she wanted to do more. While she wasn't a fan of using her mouth on him like that, Hinata knew that Naruto loved it whenever she got the courage to go down on him. It had taken her almost a year to get comfortable with the idea of giving him a blow job, and while she usually only did it during special occasions, she wanted to do it right now.
Sitting up more on her knees, Hinata brought her lips closer to his tip and closed her eyes when her mouth surrounded him.
Naruto completely broke down.
His pleas became louder, hips thrusting hard against her mouth, to the point that she had to place her elbows on his thighs to pin him down. Hinata was glad the office building was empty; otherwise, everyone on each floor and even in the warehouse would have heard Naruto's cries of pleasure.
Hinata felt like her world was spinning faster and faster. So many things were happening at once that it was hard to pinpoint what she enjoyed more. The freedom the liquor and the dream gave her? The deep dark fantasy she had about pleasuring Naruto like this? Or was it that she had always wondered what it would be like to make love to Naruto in her office? She couldn't deny that sometimes while working, her pale violet eyes would fall onto the couch and visualize what it would be like to have him in there after hours with the door closed.
I only wanted to tease him to teach him a lesson, but now . . . I'm enjoying it and turned on just as much as him . . .
The pulsating throb between her legs increased, and Hinata couldn't deny the fact that her underwear was completely wet. She desperately wanted to do it with him. She wanted him to fill the emptiness inside that she had been feeling for the last three months. She wanted to feel pleasure too.
Without hesitation, Hinata released her mouth from his manhood, and slowly stood up in front of him. At this moment, Naruto tried really hard to break free from his restraints and even attempted to stand up. However, whether it was because he was physically weak from her teasing, or perhaps he wanted to keep going, Naruto easily went back down when she pushed him. His blues eyes looked up at her with bewilderment and anticipation, clearly wondering what she was about to do next.
Hinata could see that his body was lightly covered in perspiration, his breath short and ragged, and she could clearly tell that he had been pushed to his breaking point. She almost wanted to stop, consider his punishment over and untie him so that he could embrace her. However, that sinister voice deep inside her mind whispered enticingly into her ear that she could do a few more things before setting him free; as a way to prove her point even more. Her cheeks felt hot at the idea that manifested into her head, but nothing was stopping her from doing it.
Ever so slowly, she pulled her skirt up slightly. Her hands disappeared under the article of clothing where his eyes could not follow. Naruto momentarily held his breath as he waited to see what she was doing, but it all came out in a frustrated growl when he saw her underwear fall silently to the floor. Then, when she started to remove her tank top, his face shifted almost to a painful expression. Finally, when her black top joined her panties on the floor, she heard him audibly gasp when her fingers began to tug on the clasps to her bra.
"Please, Hinata . . . I'm sorry . . . Hinata . . ."
With her upper body fully exposed, she slowly approached him, taking her spot back on his lap, pulling her skirt up and around their hips, hiding from his eyes the area where they would become one. A loud whine left his throat, and as she settled her womanhood against his throbbing member. Hinata couldn't help the soft moans that escaped her lips at the feel of his hard, smooth erection right up against her wet folds. Naruto immediately attempted to sit up, desperately trying to touch her. Her hands caught his shoulders, pushing him back against the couch cushions.
She waved her finger in front of his face with a hooded look and clicked her tongue in disapproval of his actions. Then, reaching underneath her skit, Hinata grasped onto him and guided the tip towards her entrance. Ever so slowly, she began to lower her hips down onto his, relishing in the feeling of them finally becoming one. They both let out sounds of ecstasy, and Hinata couldn't believe how much she had missed this feeling, missed the sensation of being filled by him. Her inner muscles clenched around him tightly, almost painfully, since this was the first time having sex with him in months.
Grasping his shoulders tightly, she slowly began to ride him.
It was unbelievable how real and delicious this dream felt. Her body was overly sensitive, and she could already feel the familiar coil in her groin begin to tighten. Hinata's soft moans and gasps mixed with Naruto's growls and incoherent words for forgiveness as she began to speed up her tempo. She adjusted her arms in a way to support her breasts while she moved up and down, giving Naruto quite an eyeful, but he was unable to touch the large mounds of flesh.
She adjusted her hips slightly, rocking them at a different angle where her clitoris rubbed against his pelvis, which made shivers course through her entire form. With her most sensitive spot being hit, the intense foreplay from before, and with how tender her whole body was, Hinata suddenly let out a surprised and pleasurable cry as her body reached its orgasm. The waves of pleasure swept across her body, her fingernails dug into Naruto's shoulders as she tilted her head back and voiced her ecstasy to the ceiling.
It felt like she had delved deep underwater, feeling weightless and floating on a sea of pleasure, unable to hear or even take a proper breath of air. Then, as the aftershocks of her orgasm began to fade, her ears finally picked up the sound of Naruto's voice. His words were strained, begging her to keep moving as he thrusted his hips up into hers.
Her first instinct was to keep going and heed her boyfriend's desperate cries. However, as she came down from her ecstasy high, she realized that her dream was about to end. At first, she had relished in the fact that here, she could do whatever she pleased and enjoy it to her heart's content. But now that the end was near, she was hit with a sense of sadness that any moment now, she would wake up and be alone.
A choked sob slipped past her lips, and tears began to stream down her cheeks. Her hands released Naruto's shoulder and came up to cover her face. Hinata tried to hold back her cries, but the sorrow she had felt before came back with a vengeance, slamming full force into her.
Naruto's not here . . .
He's not here . . .
I miss him . . .
I miss him so much . . .
Through her sobs, she could hear Naruto asking her what was wrong. He was no longer thrusting his hips; she could feel his erection softening between her legs to the point that he easily slid out of her. Instead, his voice was full of concern and worry, begging her to talk to him and say what was wrong. Hinata wanted to tell him, but she was afraid that she would be back in her lonely office any second now.
"Please, Hinata. What's wrong?" Naruto whispered against her ear, and she could feel him desperately trying to free his hands from the belt around his wrists.
But she couldn't speak; the only sounds that came out of her were sobs and wales of sorrow. Her tears wouldn't stop, and it was becoming hard to see clearly. A few times, Hinata found it hard to breathe, which caused her body to cough and almost gag while catching her breath.
Then, she heard Naruto whisper. "Untie me, Hinata. You don't have to tell me what's wrong yet, but please, for the love of God, untie me."
Without hesitation, she leaned forward and released the knots on the belt that kept his hands at bay. Instantly, his strong, bare arms were around her, holding her tightly against him. One was wrapped around her waist, while the other held onto her shoulders. It was comforting and yet devastating at the same time. How could her mind play such a cruel joke on her right now? Their sexual encounter was bad enough, but now she was just being toyed with by being comforted by an illusion that wasn't really there.
"Shh, shh, shh, Hinata. It's okay. Everything's going to be alright. I don't know why you're upset, but I'm here now." The illusion whispered soothingly into her ear, gently rocking her back and forth.
Hinata finally broke down.
"No . . . no, it won't be. I'm going to wake up, and you'll be gone. I wish you were here right now . . . I wish you weren't still in Australia . . ." She let out a few more sobs. "Why are my dreams so cruel?"
The Naruto holding onto her froze, and she held onto her breath, just knowing that this was the moment she would wake up. But instead, she felt him pull back slightly, his hands coming up to cup her cheeks.
"Hinata. Hinata please look at me. You need to look at me right now." His voice was rather stern, and she was afraid to open her eyes, so she shook her head.
"Open your eyes, Hinata. I'm not going anywhere; I'm here! I'm right here, Hinata!"
There was something in the tone of his voice that told her to trust in it, and so, she finally opened her eyes.
Pale violet and blue stared at each other intensely. The Naruto before her was so close that she could feel his breath fanning against her cheek. She wanted so desperately to believe that he was real; however, with the effects of the wine still holding onto her, Hinata didn't know what to believe. Hesitantly, her hands wiped away her tears before reaching forward and touching his face. Naruto leaned his cheek into her hand and planted a kiss on the palm.
"Real . . . this is real?" she asked softly, trying to come to grips that perhaps all that had transpired recently in her office hadn't been a dream.
Naruto nodded and began to plant soft butterfly kisses on her cheeks and forehead. "I'm here, Hinata. And I'm not leaving you like that again."
The alcoholic veil that had clouded her mind suddenly lifted, and she slowly started to come to terms with what was happening.
This isn't a dream . . . Naruto is really here . . . he's right in front of me . . . but then, I . . . we . . .I said to him . . . oh dear lord, what have I done?!
Hinata fainted.

The smell of dark roast coffee wafted throughout the kitchen while Naruto prepped his cereal. His eyes kept darting over to the small television on the counter, waiting to hear what the news had to say about the upcoming weather for the week. Unfortunately, the rain was still falling heavily from the sky. However, the thunder and lightning had disappeared for now.
With the coffee brewed and his cereal ready, Naruto pulled up a barstool at the island in the middle of his parent's kitchen and silently watched the news to see what was happening around the city. It had felt weird at first being able to make breakfast in his childhood home instead of the small kitchenette that had been in his hotel room for the last 110 days. Even sleeping in his own bed had been awkward at first, but he couldn't tell if his lack of sleep last night was from just finally being home or the woman lying next to him.
After Hinata had fainted in his arms, he immediately had a mild panic attack. He tried to wake her multiple times, but his girlfriend was completely out cold. Once it was clear that she was out for the rest of the evening, Naruto quickly got himself dressed before awkwardly trying to get Hinata's clothes back on her unconscious form. As he carried her out of the head office building and to his truck outside, he prayed to any god listening that no one would see them and assume the worst possible situation was going on. He could just see that moment being when the security driver drove up to check on the building, only to see him carrying an unconscious woman to his vehicle. Thankfully though, the streets had been empty, and Naruto was able to strap Hinata into the passenger seat before taking her back to his place.
Once they had arrived safely and dry in the garage, he carried Hinata to his bedroom, where he stripped all of her wet clothing and dressed her in one of his more oversized t-shirts before tucking her under the covers. His original plan was to just cuddle up right beside her and fall asleep with Hinata finally back in his arms. However, after what had just transpired between the two in her office, Naruto wasn't sure if it was a good idea. So instead, he slept more on top of the covers beside her.
He wasn't sure how much alcohol she had drank, but the way her voice had been slightly slurred and the smell on her breath was a dead giveaway that she had consumed a lot. Naruto made sure there was a large glass of water and some Advil on the bedside table for her to easily grab. While most of the night he had stared at her and marvelled that he was back home beside her, Hinata, on the other hand, seemed completely oblivious to his presence. She would wake up the odd time, glance at him momentarily before chugging the entire glass of water and then rolling over to fall asleep again.
Naruto couldn't deny that it bothered him a little bit that she wouldn't acknowledge him, but at the same time, there were quite a few times he had gotten that shit-faced drunk too. Usually, in the mornings, you were out of it, still feeling the effects of the alcohol and being completely dehydrated. You were unaware of your surroundings, only focused on rest and drinking as much water as possible. By noon you were a bit more self-aware, but that's also when the nausea and headaches kicked in.
It's best to just let Hinata rest for as long as possible. She must have had a lot to drink if she thought that everything that happened between us in her office was a dream.
A dark blush spread across his cheeks, and he had to put down the spoon he was using before dropping it. The moment Naruto had opened the door to her office, he could tell that she was three sheets to the wind. Hinata's laid-back posture and the way her eyes stared at him so blankly, at first, he honestly thought that she was officially done with him and didn't want to even look at him.
It crushed him completely.
She let him have it how she really felt, and while it did hurt, he knew that it was well warranted and that he deserved it. However, things had gotten officially weird when she suddenly started giving him orders. At first, he thought it was just the alcohol talking and that she was just going to boss him around for a bit. But then she had restrained his hands and pushed him to the couch. From then on it got . . .it got . . .
Naruto let out a sigh and lightly smacked his hands against his cheeks. The mere thought of it made his head spin and his groin twitch.
I never knew Hinata had it in her to do those kinds of things. It was so sudden and out of nowhere that I didn't know how to react. Was the idea to try and punish me for what happened? Or because she thought it was just a dream, it's a fantasy she's always wanted to act out? I wish I could talk to her about it, but I don't know if she'll give me a straight answer.
When he had told her that what had happened between them wasn't in her head, the fear and panic in her eyes had overwhelmed her so much that she passed out. He knew from past drinking escapades that it was possible to do things you weren't fully aware of that were real. A funny example for him that Kakashi never let him forget was one Christmas Party when he had passed out on his boss's couch for the night. In his drunken mind, he had gotten up in the middle of the night and merely used the bathroom to relieve himself. But, in reality, he had walked right into Kakashi's room and took a piss in the poor man's closet instead. It was something that his grey-haired friend made sure he never forgot.
I don't blame Hinata at all for her thinking it wasn't real. She didn't know I was coming home, no one knew where she was at, and I only got into the head office because Kiba gave me the code.
Regardless if it had been a dream or not to his girlfriend, Naruto couldn't help but find the entire encounter erotic as hell after getting over the initial shock. The way Hinata had seduced him, been in complete control, and he was at her utter mercy. Naruto would be called a liar if he said he never fantasized about Hinata doing something like that to him. It was actually in his top three list of things he wanted to try with her in the bedroom. However, he was not one to push her out of her comfort zone if she wasn't ready yet. It had taken him almost 6 months of probing for her to make love to him with the lights on; how was he going to convey that he wanted his timid girlfriend to tie him up and dominate him?
Last night, not only was she not shy at all but completely confident with what she was doing . . . and that she was enjoying it too! The smile she was giving me . . . it just drove me insane. Not to mention seeing her reach her peak like that! But, God damn it, now I'm getting all worked up again!
Naruto let out a frustrated sigh and tried to finish his cereal before he needed to take another cold shower.
I completely understand how Hinata felt our first night at the hotel now. The throbbing sensation that stays with you if you don't reach your climax, no wonder she looked disappointed at me.
With his breakfast done and the dishes put in the sink, he turned off the TV and headed back downstairs to where his bedroom was. Quietly, he approached the door and peeked his head inside. Hinata was still snoring softly, and he noticed the glass of water on the bedside table was empty again. Tiptoeing across the carpet, he grabbed the cup and went to refill it again.
As he placed the full glass back in its spot, he stared down at his girlfriend, wondering what he could do in the meantime while she slept. His fingers played with the dead phone in his pocket, wanting to leave and head over to the closest cell phone service carrier to get a new one. However, he was nervous about leaving Hinata alone. Her car wasn't here, so he was one hundred percent certain she wouldn't run away, but he was concerned about her wellbeing. She did consume a lot of alcohol, and his worst fear was that she would start to throw up and panic about not knowing where she was at.
Naruto stood there for a few minutes, his eyes darting over to the alarm clock that told him the time was 9:30am. He couldn't decide on what he should do. Then, an idea suddenly popped into his head. It was corny as hell, but if it would make Hinata happy and not embarrassed about with what happened last night, he was willing to do anything.
Decision made, Naruto immediately got to work.

Hinata couldn't remember a time when she felt this dehydrated, dizzy, and exhausted. Her mind felt like it was surrounded by fog, and she could only remember bits and pieces. For example, finding water on the bedside table, dressed in only a large T-shirt, and making the odd trip to the bathroom. She wasn't exactly sure where she was, but her gut told her that wherever this was, she was safe. The bed she was laid in was soft and seemed oddly familiar. But in her drunken mind, her only priority was sleep and to ride out the headache plaguing her head.
It almost felt like she was in the movie Groundhog Day, where it felt like you were repeating the same day over and over again. Sometimes Hinata couldn't figure out if where she was at was just in or head or real. Then there were her memories of what had happened in her office. Sometimes she could see it clearly, but others, it was like she was looking through glasses with Vaseline covering the lenses.
After what felt like forever, Hinata finally sat up at one point and realized that her headache was now only minor, and the effects of the alcohol had worn off; she no longer felt like she was spinning. As she sat in the darkened room, her pale eyes scanned the area to see if it was familiar to her. There were a few pictures, but they were sitting on the dressers on the other side, so she couldn't make them out. Her finger gripped the heavy duvet tightly, and she closed her eyes to concentrate.
Deep breaths, Hinata . . . you were at your office, you had a little too much to drink, and you were about to head to father's place, but then . . .
At that moment, Hinata felt like someone had come up with a sledgehammer and slammed it into her stomach, knocking the wind out of her. Even though she had consumed more alcohol than ever before in her entire life, she could still vividly remember what had transpired in her office. A deep, heavy blush spread across her cheeks, and she buried her face into the covers.
I can't believe I did that! How can I ever face Naruto again?!
A few tears began to swell in her eyes, feeling highly embarrassed about what her drunken self had done so easily without hesitation. Of course, it wasn't in her nature to be like that; however, one thing she did remember was how much Naruto had seemed to enjoy it. The way his blue eyes had watched her, the sounds that had come from his mouth, and how he never told her no or tried to stop her.
He had loved it.
Hinata wasn't sure if this was a relief or if it embarrassed her even more. She wasn't sure if she was ready to talk about it with him yet, and most likely, he would tease her about it for months to come.
She couldn't deny that there were some things that she was confused about. How did he know where to find her? Was it true that his phone had been broken for over a week and that's why she couldn't get a hold of him? Why had he come back so soon? Wasn't his flight not until the 2nd last week in May?
As these questions spun around in her head, Hinata was suddenly brought back to reality by the loud growling of her stomach. Sitting back up, her eyes darted around the room again, searching for some kind of clock. When she finally found one, a soft gasp left her lips when she saw it was past noon. She had pretty much slept the entire day away!
Letting out a sigh, Hinata pulled the covers back and looked down at the oversized T-shirt she was wearing, which on her looked more like a short dress. It was black with an orange swirl on the front, one of Naruto's trademark shirts.
Oh . . . this must be his parent's place. I've only been here twice, but I never got a good look at his bedroom. We would just have dinner here and then head back to my place . . .
Hinata reached for the lamp on the bedside table and saw that now there was a tall glass of orange juice there, with a small note that said 'Drink Me.' She couldn't help but smile at his kind gesture before grabbing the glass and taking a long sip. The cold beverage tasted delicious, and with how hungry she was, Hinata downed it in a few seconds.
As she placed the glass down, her eyes fell upon the floor where paper arrows led towards the bedroom door. She blinked a few times before slowly standing up and following them. Then, carefully, she slowly opened the bedroom door and peeked her head outside. Naruto's bedroom was located in the basement of his childhood home. To her right were stairs that led up to the main floor, in front of her was a bathroom, and to her left was an entertainment area with a large couch and TV. She could hear soft noises coming from upstairs, but the arrows were pointing her in the direction of the bathroom. Hinata checked once more that no one was around before she slipped out and quickly dashed to the bathroom ahead.
Quietly, she closed the door behind her to see what the arrows were leading her to. On the sink was her shampoo and conditioner, along with a pair of her clothes that had another note on top. 'Have a nice long shower, and when you're done, I will see you upstairs.'
Hinata's heart fluttered with how sweet he was being. In that instant, she almost wanted to forgive him for everything.
But, as much as I want us to move on, we need to talk about what happened. Both with what happened over the phone and last night.
Pulling the large T-Shirt over her head, Hinata dropped the garment on the floor and started the hot water for a much-needed shower. While cleaning herself, her mind started going round and round in circles of what she would say to him. It was quite evident that the two of them were, for the most part, fine, and that breaking up wasn't even on the table. However, at the moment, Hinata still felt very awkward and confused. Did she start the conversation? Or, since they were in his house and he had been taking care of her, did she let him do the talking first?
Once she felt refreshed, Hinata turned the shower off and began to dry her body with a large orange towel. After putting on clothes and combing her wet hair, she sighed before opening the bathroom door and stepping out. Downstairs was still dark and empty, but there was noise once again coming from the kitchen. Biting her lip, Hinata slowly made her way up the stairs to see what was going on.
His back was to her as he had his eyes on the food in a deep frying pan. The smell of pasta, chicken, and Fettucine hit her nostrils, almost causing her to drool. A bouquet of red roses was on the dining room table, along with a box of cinnamon rolls and a small bag with the word 'Tiffany's on it. Hinata couldn't help but frown at the sight of all the gifts he had gotten her.
As she got closer, Hinata cleared her throat to get his attention. Naruto suddenly spun around with wide eyes before giving her the biggest grin ever.
"Good morning, Hinata! Are you feeling better? Just give me a few minutes, and I'll have your lunch ready here." Naruto motioned to the seats at the table. "Take a seat, and what would you like to drink?"
Hinata attempted to get a little closer to the stove, unsure if she could believe that Naruto was actually cooking a meal for her. "Don't tell me that you made this?"
Perhaps while he was gone all these months, he finally learned how to cook something other than ramen or instant noodles.
Naruto let out a laugh and scratched the back of his head. "Heh, ah well, no, actually." He guiltily pointed to the take-out containers beside the garbage can. "I ordered your favourite dish from that Italian place you like to go to. I just didn't want you to eat it cold, so I'm reheating it. That I can at least manage!"
She couldn't help but let out a little chuckle. Hinata reached forward to pat his shoulder, but just as her fingers were about to touch him, she suddenly withdrew her hand and pulled it to her chest.
I-I can't do it. Why am I so nervous to touch him now?
Naruto didn't seem to notice and pointed to the fridge. "Grab any beverage you like, and I'll toss your pasta on a plate. My lasagna is pretty much done too."
After pouring herself a glass of orange juice and one for Naruto as well, Hinata sat down at the table. He soon followed after her with two hot plates and placed hers down on the place matt. Once Naruto was sure the oven and stovetop were off, he joined Hinata by sitting across from her.
At first, it was a little awkward. Neither of them touched their food right away; Naruto was waiting for her to go first. Meanwhile, her pale eyes kept darting over to the elaborate gifts sitting beside her.
"Ah . . . don't worry about those. Right now, why don't we just eat? If you don't want to talk, I can put on some funny videos with my iPad?" Naruto offered.
Hinata nodded.
While eating their meals, the awkward attitude around them shifted slightly. Hearing his laugh and seeing his smile made Hinata feel a lot better; also, being able to laugh for the first time in almost a week helped her too. She couldn't help but hum with approval every time she took a bite of her pasta. It tasted so delicious; even though Naruto hadn't been the one to cook it, his heart had been in the right place.
Once they finished eating, Naruto scooped up their dirty dishes and gave them a quick rinse before tossing them into the dishwasher. She waited patiently while he tidied up the kitchen a bit. It hadn't caught her attention before, but he seemed slimmer since the last time she had seen him. His face was tanned, but she could still make out the bags under his eyes and wondered if he hadn't been sleeping or eating properly for the last three months.
Hinata was so lost in her own thoughts that she didn't notice Naruto take the seat beside her and nearly jumped when his hand cupped her cheek. He had a worried expression on his face, his thumb brushing just the top of her cheekbone.
"I can tell I'm not the only one that had trouble sleeping these past few months. Also, you've lost a lot of weight, Hinata. When I carried you to my truck last night, you were light as a feather." Naruto whispered softly.
She felt embarrassed, but instead of pulling away from his touch, Hinata gently leaned into it. "I could say the same for you. I'm surprised you didn't blow away in that rainstorm last night."
Naruto chuckled. "Well, I've still got rocks for brains, so I'm sure that's what kept me weighed down."
Hinata knew he was kidding, but she never did like laughing at the jokes where he called himself stupid. So instead, she decided to shift the conversation. "Why did you come back so soon? I thought you said it was going to be two weeks?"
He brought his hand down from her cheek but then grasped onto both of her hands with his. "Isn't it obvious? I came back so I could see you as soon as possible. I told you this last night, but I was in such a bad mood last Saturday. First, saying stuff I didn't mean and then throwing my phone against the wall, breaking it. Had I been able to call you and apologize the next day . . . I don't know; maybe I would have stayed the next 10 to 14 days. However, with no means of communicating with you, I wanted to get back as soon as possible."
She stared at him for a moment. "I know it's not the best way, but you could have sent me an email. I'm sure they had computers at your hotel, didn't they?'
Naruto sighed. "Hinata, you know I can't even remember my own phone number half the time, right? So I always rely on my cell phone with the auto-passwords for everything! But I mean, granted I did try . . . however after ten attempts, it locked my account; so I screwed that up too."
Hinata smiled and started to rub the backs of his hands with her thumbs. "Well, while I'm sure it was unprofessional for you to leave the job like that . . . On the other hand, I can't deny that it makes me happy that you tried to get back here as soon as possible."
"Took almost 48 hours. The flight from Sydney to Los Angeles was bad enough, but then they had no direct flights back home after that, and I had to fly all the way to Denver before coming here. It was terrible. I barely slept, and as soon as I got back, I went to your apartment where I found Kiba and Tamaki getting all hot and heavy on your couch."
Her eyebrows furrowed together. "Wait, what? How did that happen? Didn't you just knock on the door like normal?"
Naruto bit his lip. "Ah . . . well no. I wanted to surprise you, and when I snuck in with the key you gave me . . . well, I heard some pretty interesting noises. I thought I had broken your heart so badly that you were with someone else. The image in my head alone made me physically sick, but before I could sneak back out, I thought I heard you moan Kiba's name, and I . . . well snapped. I stormed into the living room and surprised them. We both gave each other heart attacks. Good thing I did though; otherwise, I would have walked out of there assuming the worst."
Hinata pressed her lips together and almost scolded him that she would never do something so despicable. Her eyes were for him and only him.
But think of it from his point of view. If you walked into this house and heard moans coming from his bedroom, what's the first thought that pops into your mind? That it's a friend of his spending the night with his lover? Probably not.
Just then, the pieces of that evening suddenly fell into place. "Oh . . . so that's why Kiba called me. He was trying to find out where I was for you."
Naruto nodded. "He could tell you had been drinking, so if you weren't at your sister's or at your father's, the only other place I could think that you would be is your office. You did mention a few times that you have slept there before. So, I asked Kiba for the door code so I wouldn't trip the security alarm, and . . . that's where I found you.
"After our little . . . intimate encounter, I brought you here. You've been asleep most of the day, and I did have to leave briefly to run a few errands." He motioned to her gifts and held up a new phone too. "I called Kiba and asked for a favour. He's the one that brought over your clothes, shampoo & conditioner, and he kept an eye on you while I was gone. I didn't want to leave you alone in your condition. And as soon as I returned with the food, he headed back to your place. He said he should be out by Sunday morning."
Hinata drank in everything he said, and now everything seemed crystal clear. However, a blush spread across her cheeks, and she averted her gaze from his, staring at her knees. "I'm sorry."
"For what? I'm the one that should be on all fours right now, begging for you to forgive me. You have nothing to apologize for."
She shook her head. "What I said and did to you in my office was . . . inappropriate. I was mad at you and knew I couldn't say things I was feeling to you in person. So, when I thought it was all a dream, I just . . ." Hinata bit her lip and didn't finish her sentence.
Suddenly, Naruto leaned forward and gently kissed her, his lips softly brushing against hers. When he pulled back slightly, he was grinning with a mischievous look in his eyes. "So . . . if I said I deserved it and enjoyed what you did to me, there's no need to apologize, is there?"
Hinata turned a crimson red. "I-I . . ."
He chuckled. "But for the record, Hinata, if you're mad at me, just let me have it and tell me. You don't have to always be nice to me, especially when I was a rude ass-hole like that. Call me out and tell me how you feel. I was actually glad last night when you spoke your mind like that. I'm assuming when you tied me up like that, that was my punishment?"
Her hands covered her face, unable to look at him. He laughed softly before pulling her to him in a gentle hug.
"I'm sorry. I won't tease you anymore about it. But, just so you know, if I didn't like what you were doing to me, I would have fought back a lot harder or told you no. I'm always up for trying new things with you, Hinata, even if it's a surprise like last night. I trust you. Perhaps you can even blindfold me next time if you want to try it again?"
She peeked through her fingers and gave him a playful glare.
Naruto smirked and then turned to reach for the jewelry bag on the table. "Obviously, you've seen the flowers and cinnamon rolls, but this is for you too." He held it up for her to take.
Hinata's face was still beet red, but she pulled her hands away from her face to grab onto the bag. "Y-you didn't have to buy me something like this. The roses and rolls were good enough."
She tore the bag open and reached inside, pulling out a ring box. Pale, violet eyes widened, and she looked at him with a shocked, puzzling gaze.
Naruto frowned slightly. "It's not what you think. I would have gone to a lot more effort if that was an engagement ring, but for the time being, I think it will serve its purpose."
Slightly confused, Hinata returned her gaze to the box and opened it. Inside was a simple, white gold ring with a small piece of paper that read 'I promise to always be yours'. A few tears started to swell in her eyes as she watched Naruto take the ring and slide it on her left ring finger.
"I don't know what the future holds, but even if we have our ups and downs, I want it to be with you, and only you. There's a lot of shit I need to get together first before I do ask you to marry me, but I figure this is at least a start. I've saved enough money now to buy a house, and while I'm off for these next two months, I'd like us to go house hunting together. I'm not saying you have to move in with me right away, but I would like your opinion on a house that would be great for a family.
"I know I could go back to work at Konoha Energy sooner than later, but I would rather take this time to rekindle our relationship. I've been so miserable the past few months that I just need some time to be happy and relax for a bit. Besides, compared to what we just went through the last 16 months, I think my small shifts are going to be a walk in the park for us."
Hinata stared at the ring on her finger. While it was only a promise ring, it still made her feel so special, and it solidified her relationship with Naruto even more, a physical item that tied her to him. "What about you? Can I get you a promise ring too?"
Now it was Naruto's turn to blush. "T-that's really sweet of you, but they don't exactly like us wearing rings at work, right? I mean, you could get me one that I can wear while I'm home, but . . ."
Hinata suddenly grasped his left hand tightly. "I'll get you one of those silicone rings. Then you don't need to take it off, and it will be my promise to you that I'll say yes when the time comes."
He smiled and rested his forehead against hers before whispering, "Sounds good to me."
They stayed like that for a few minutes. She enjoyed the tender moment and the peaceful silence while Naruto placed the odd little kiss on her cheeks or forehead. A shiver ran over Hinata's form, and she closed her eyes.
I've missed him so much . . . and we are alone right now . . .
Without hesitation, Hinata leaned forward and kissed Naruto gently, a content hum leaving her throat; she had missed the feel of his lips against hers. Before she could kiss him again, Naruto suddenly pulled back slightly, and a deep blush spread across his cheeks. His eyes were looking down, and she could see that he was visibly trembling.
"Naruto?" she asked softly.
"I-I . . . look, Hinata. I'm still very riled up from last night." He shifted uncomfortably in front of her. Even though he was wearing jeans, she could clearly see he was trying to hide his erection. "As much as I would like to . . . you know, I also realize that today is your day off too. So is there anything you'd like to do today? Because, if you . . . if we start touching each other, I'm not going to be able to stop. It's been over three months, and I'm going to want to have you as many times as I can."
Usually, Hinata would have blushed too, but she felt unremarkably calm right now. She couldn't deny that she felt the same way; the thought of being intimate with him for the remainder of the day was something she wanted very much. Her own body quivered at the thought of his hands on her body, his hot breath against her ear, the feel of his skin against hers, and the passionate gaze of his blue eyes gazing into hers.
She stood up and walked over to the fridge. Opening the door, she scanned the contents inside; unfortunately, there wasn't much. Sighing, she turned around to see Naruto staring at her with a questionable look. Hinata pointed to the fridge behind her. "We should probably go out and get some more food. We'll need it for the next day and a half here, especially if we don't plan on leaving at all."
Naruto's face lit up. He jumped up and motioned her to follow him. "Well then, let's head out right away! The grocery store isn't too far away, and then we can settle down for the day."
The mischievous grin he had on his face made Hinata giggle, and she followed after him towards the garage where his truck was.
Just walking around the supermarket with Naruto felt calm and refreshing; it was the simple things she really missed doing with him. They only bickered the odd time over what to buy. Naruto didn't like the idea of vegetables with his meals, but Hinata promised she would make them delicious and that he would enjoy them. Hesitantly, he agreed, only if he could have instant ramen for lunch tomorrow.
The couple got back in the truck with the groceries piled in the truck and made their way back to Naruto's home. At a stop light, Naruto reached over and grasped Hinata's hand in his, holding on to it tightly for the rest of the drive.
"So . . . are you going to tie me up ever again?" Naruto asked her hesitantly, but he was also smiling.
This did cause her to blush, and she averted her gaze to stare out the rain-covered window. "T-that's . . ."
Naruto chuckled and squeezed her hand tightly. "I really liked seeing you being confident and in control. Maybe once a year? On my birthday? You can have a few glasses of wine and then be my dominatrix."
Hinata closed her eyes and tried to control her breathing as her heartbeat thundered in her chest. She knew he was teasing her again, but at the same time, he wasn't. They had been intimate together for over a year and a half, so why was she so hesitant to try new things with him? Her shy side always took over, but as he stated last night, she had been brimming with confidence, and he loved it.
She peeked her eyes open to glance at him, his eyes now focused back on the road. Hinata couldn't deny that she had been very shy about sex with him at first, but now, as time had passed, she really did look forward to it, and it was even fun too. Hinata could remember a few times when either he'd accidentally lay on her hair or hit his head on something during the act. Some would say that would kill the mood. However, the two of them would just have a small laugh and then carry on. She was comfortable around him and would trust Naruto with anything.
I do need to be more assertive, but is now the proper time or place for it? Sure, if it was in my apartment or a hotel room, but Naruto's parent's home? I just feel that's . . . not right. His bedroom is one thing, but anywhere else in the house?
Hinata sighed and turned her gaze back out the window. She didn't want to disappoint Naruto, but at the same time, she was the one that had initiated sex last night. While she had found her orgasm, her boyfriend had been left hanging with no release. Hinata knew that feeling all too well during their first time together; the throbbing feeling like your body was on fire and needed to be put out.
She pondered on what she wanted to do, but her time became limited as they turned onto the main street to take them back to his place. The lingerie that she had purchased was still at her place, but perhaps she could offer to him trying out a new position on his bed? Just as she was about to suggest trying out the 'Reverse Cowgirl', her fingers that were playing with the plastic on the truck door caught her attention. Her pale violet eyes did a brief scan of the inside of the cab until falling onto the front seats.
Wait a minute . . .
After rounding the final corner down the street, Naruto pushed the automatic garage door opener, and they slowly pulled inside. He then turned the vehicle off and was just taking his seatbelt off before she tightly squeezed his hand to get his attention. Naruto paused and looked at her, a slight frown on his lips when he saw how bright red her face was.
"Hinata? Are you still bothered by what I suggested? I'm sorry, I'll stop teasing you about . . ." Naruto tried to apologize, but she cut him off with a stutter.
"N-no, it's n-not . . . I m-mean, what I . . ." Hinata inwardly cursed herself for not being brave and just blurted out. "Close your eyes!"
Naruto blinked at her in confusion for a moment. But then, he nodded and did as she asked.
Taking a shaky breath, Hinata pulled her hand away from his and adjusted the middle console, pushing up so it transformed into a third seat in the front. His eyebrows furrowed in curiosity, but he kept his eyes closed nonetheless. Biting her lip, Hinata gathered her courage and moved across the seats before pulling herself up to sit on the driver's side in Naruto's lap. His mouth fell open in a silent 'Oh' and his hands immediately grasped her hips. A shiver ran down her spine at the feel of his hands on her, and while his eyes remained closed, she reached down to push his seat forward so her back wasn't pressed against the steering wheel. Then, she adjusted the seat one more time by tilting it back so her head wouldn't hit the top of the inside of the cab.
"Y-you can look now . . ." Hinata whispered softly.
Finally, blue eyes opened to gaze up at her with a craved look, his hands lightly massaging her hips. "Hinata . . . here?"
His soft question made the blush in her cheeks creep down to her neck. Then, finally, she nodded her head, "I-I don't feel comfortable doing anything in your p-parents house, but, this is y-your truck . . . so I don't m-mind, and I . . . I . . ."
Hinata berated herself for not being able to express her feelings clearly, but in the end, she didn't need to. Instead, Naruto pulled her down for a passionate kiss. His tongue slipped into her mouth, and his hips rose to grind against hers, the feel of his stiff manhood rubbing against her underwear. She trembled against his chest, her legs gripping his hips tighter and leaning her head to the side so she could kiss him deeper. The humidity in the truck cab rose quickly; a thin layer of fog had already started to cover the windows as the couple kissed and moaned together.
Too soon, she had to pull away slightly to regain her breath, half-lidded violet eyes staring down at her lover, who was breathing just as hard as her. There was a massive grin on Naruto's face, his hands moving from massaging her hips to the curves of her bottom.
"I must be the luckiest guy in the fucking world . . ." Naruto panted heavily. "Two fantasies fulfilled in less than twenty-four hours. You better prepare yourself, Hinata. Once we're done in here and toss those groceries in the fridge, I'm not letting you out of my sight or grasp for the next few hours."
Hinata couldn't respond and only let out a whimper before finding his lips again.

Miles away in New York City . . .
Hiashi released a frustrated sigh as he entered the elevator with his brother. He usually was never one to feel tired after a week of business meetings, but he was ready to have a couple bottles of sake after today.
"Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." Hizashi exhaled, rubbing his temples in slow counter-clockwise motions. "We obtained quite a few new customers, but the problem is going to be that new program they want us to use."
The oldest twin nodded. "I'm usually one for keeping on top of technology, but even just trying to comprehend how it works made my head spin."
"Agreed, I almost started to think I was going senile there for a bit. However, if we want to keep progressing our companies, we are going to have to not only learn it but install it too." Hizashi leaned his back against the elevator walls as well. "I already know who you plan on sending to take the course and learn this program. And to be quite frank, I agree that Hinata is the best choice, but she's just been so down lately with Naruto being gone for so long."
Hiashi nodded in agreement. "I know. He's supposed to be done here in Australia in the next two weeks, but I have no idea when their last job in Nigeria is supposed to start or end. Hinata has been . . . downhearted lately, but I'm hoping she can rise to the task and do us this one favour."
Hizashi chuckled. "She's sad, brother. Hinata misses her boyfriend so much. Do you remember what it was like to leave Yui and Himari behind? Heck, the moment I would get home, Yui would . . ."
"They are doing no such thing!" Hiashi's face was a bright red.
The younger twin let out a loud cackle and hunched over. "Oh, you're adorable. But, of course, Hinata's an adult now, brother; I would be more surprised if they weren't . . ."
"Don't. Just don't say it." Hissed Hiashi. Wanting to hold onto the image of Hinata being his little girl for just a bit longer.
Hizashi struggled to contain his laughter. "But, all joking aside, I really hope Hinata can do this. I know it's not ideal to ask her to spend two months in New York. However, if she can master the system, install it into our computers and not only teach us but the rest of the staff too, we'll be laughing to the bank."
The elevator chimed, and the doors opened. "I just hope she's up for the challenge. Otherwise, I'm going to have to send multiple people for this course, and I already hate the idea of how much money I would be wasting when my daughter is more than capable of learning it herself."
"Well, let's get a bite to eat and think of how we're going to break the news to her on Tuesday. I'm starving and could probably eat the whole sushi bar right now."
As the brothers stepped out, Hiashi rolled his eyes. "Don't even try it. The last time you attempted that, you didn't leave the bathroom for over four hours."
To Be Continued . . .
Author Note: Just to be clear, no, Naruto and Hinata will not be separated again. Think of it as more . . . a possible getaway for the two in the Big Apple.
