Note: Short chapter, but I wanted to focus on conversations on the New Republic making compromise with Thrawn. I believe in Canon they made Thrawn seem too evil. In the scenario we have, I believe Thrawn would be willing to allow the New Republic to exist, as long as they allow his own fleet to unite the Unknown Regions. And for Leia, she won't seek to go beyond being professional with Vader because deep down she feels Bail is her true father. She still has the anger she gets from Anakin.
Hope you guys enjoy the interactions. :) Comment if you have any suggestions.
Thank you!

Thrawn awoke, the echoes of the Bendu's laughter still lingering in his mind. The dream had been vivid, a haunting reminder of the enigmatic Force-wielder he had encountered on Atollon.
His personal chambers provided a stark contrast to the surreal dreamscape he had just left. Thrawn sat up, the remnants of the dream fading as he focused on the cold reality of the present. It was a peculiar experience for the Grand Admiral, who prided himself on his ability to analyze and predict, to be confronted by a being that defied such logic.
"You cannot see. But I can."
"What? What do you see?"
"I see your victory. But compromise is necessary for the foreseeable future."
Reaching for a data pad, Thrawn began recording the details of his dream. The Bendu's cryptic words echoed in his thoughts—beyond his power to kill, a prediction of victory, and the elusive concept of compromise. Compromise to people he once thought of as rivals or enemies? Thrawn, ever the strategist, found himself drawn to deciphering the deeper meaning behind the Bendu's words.
"Unexpected the Rebels forced the Empire to peace. Perhaps Vader influencing the reformed Empire or New Republic fleet will suffice to protecting this Galaxy from these unknown threats."
Thrawn stood on the bridge of the Chimaera, the hum of activity around him as officers and crew members carried out their duties. A captain approached, reporting that Lord Vader was ready to initiate a hologram call. Thrawn nodded in acknowledgment, signaling for the communication to begin.
Vader's imposing figure materialized before Thrawn, the dark silhouette a stark contrast against the blue-tinted glow of the holographic display.
"Lord Vader, or should I say General Skywalker?" Thrawn asked with a respectful nod.
"You know how to get your information, Grand Admiral."
"Perhaps, or I've always had an inclination."
"What is your purpose in reaching out to me?" Vader asked, his presence commanding attention.
"Skywalker," Thrawn addressed Vader directly, "I seek to clear up any questions regarding these peace talks. I heard you are in charge of what remains of the military?"
"Correct."
"Well I'll have you know there are threats out there that are barely known. Do you remember our mission after my mishap on Atollon?"
Vader nods. He remembers Palpatine wanted to see what his two biggest assets can do together. He recalls Thrawn toying with his former identity. Also, their fleet rescued force sensitive Chiss from a vague species known as the Grysk.
Thrawn continued. "Well, we were dealing with the Grysk. They are a force threatening the Chiss Ascendancy."
Vader's helmeted gaze bore into Thrawn. "I recall Grand Admiral. At the time I questioned if your loyalty was with the Empire or your people."
Thrawn maintained his composure. "Ah yes. Well I'll have you know, the Grysk will not stop at the Chiss, but spread to the Empire as well."
Vader saw where the conversation was going, "Very well, do you propose an alliance?"
"Yes, I am forming a faction in the Unknown Regions to thwart this threat."
"I see... you wish to stay separate from the Republic?"
"Why yes Skywalker... I am skeptical if this reformed government can even make the Outer Rim stable from piracy and smuggling."
Vader understood Thrawn's point of view. "Very well. Grand Admiral, I will reach out to the New Republic forces on your proposal. Even if they are wary, I still want to follow through with what our alliance can do for the protection of the galaxy."
"Good General Skywalker, I hope to hear from you soon..."
The holographic transmission between Thrawn and Vader concluded with a respectful nod from the Grand Admiral. The alliance proposal, while a deviation from the typical Imperial approach, carried the weight of strategic wisdom. Vader acknowledged the necessity of adapting to the evolving galactic landscape, even if it meant forming alliances with former rivals.
Thrawn returned to his command chair, contemplating the intricacies of the alliance he sought to forge. The bridge hummed with activity as his officers carried out their duties, unaware of the delicate negotiations transpiring. Thrawn knew that the success of this venture would depend on the ability of both sides to find common ground, a challenging task given the history of conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel forces.
As Thrawn prepared to reach out to the New Republic, he understood the complexities of his dual role – a loyal Imperial officer and a strategist seeking the best course for the galaxy's stability. The alliance he proposed would be a delicate dance, requiring finesse and diplomacy to bridge the gaps between the opposing factions.
Thrawn pondered at coexistence. "The concept of agreeing to disagreeing. I hope the New Republic will tolerate my forces' aim to stabilize the Unknown Regions. It is in our best interest to do so. With a united Unknown Regions means the Grysk will have a difficult time invading the Core and Mid-Rim."
The galaxy awaited the outcome of this unexpected alliance, its fate hanging in the balance as Thrawn navigated the intricate web of politics, strategy, and the ever-present Force. The Chimaera sailed through the vastness of space, on a course that would determine the future of the unknown regions and the galaxy at large.

Vader, clad in his imposing armor, stood alongside Luke on the Executor's command deck. The hum of the ship's machinery formed a backdrop to their conversation about Thrawn's proposal and the delicate alliance in the making.
"Deep down, I yearn for a quiet life where the Force can be explored without the shadows of conflict," Luke mused.
Vader, his mechanical breath punctuating the silence, responded, "Peace is a luxury, my son. It is in times of quiet that you must be most vigilant. The galaxy is vast, and within its depths, unknown dangers lurk. Thrawn's proposal is an opportunity to secure a measure of stability, but you cannot afford to let your guard down."
Luke, sensing the weight of his father's words, turned to him. "I understand, Father. The times of peace are precious, and I am grateful for them. Yet, I also know the importance of preparing potential students for the challenges that may lie ahead."
Vader nodded, acknowledging the wisdom in Luke's words. "Gratitude for the peace we have, but readiness for the storms that may come. That is the way of the Jedi, and now, the way of your new order. When you develop it, train your students not just in the light, but also in the resilience to face the darkness."
Luke turned to Vader, his eyes searching for reassurance. "Father, what about you? Will you help me with the order?"
Vader, his gaze steady beneath the mask, sighed with a hint of regret. "My past actions have consequences, Luke. The dark shadow I cast is not easily dispelled. I cannot be a part of your order; it is not deserving of what I might offer."
Vader, ever stoic, continued, "My priority lies with the Imperial Navy. Controlling it, preparing it for whatever challenges the galaxy may throw at us. Thrawn, for all his strategic brilliance, may harbor ambitions to extend his influence into the territories of the New Republic. I must ensure that the galaxy is protected, that my remnants of the Empire remain a formidable force."
The father's gaze was unwavering, masked eyes focused on the star-filled canvas of space beyond. "Without me at the forefront, Thrawn might see an opportunity. I need to control the Imperial Navy and keep it aligned with a purpose that safeguards the galaxy."
Luke, grappling with his own responsibilities and visions for the future, nodded solemnly. "Understood, father. We'll do what we must."
As they stood on the Executor's command deck, the vastness of space around them mirrored the complexities of their relationship and the intricate tapestry of the galaxy. The father, a guardian of order, and the son, a steward of the light, each with their own path to tread.

The hologram flickered to life, revealing the stern figure of Darth Vader, flanked by the calm countenance of Luke Skywalker, Chancellor Leia Organa, Hera Syndulla, and other Republic officials.
Vader's synthesized voice reverberated, "I bring crucial information regarding Grand Admiral Thrawn. He is attempting to unite the Unknown Regions to prepare for a threat that extends beyond those territories. I have communicated with him directly through hologram."
A skeptical voice chimed in from one of the Republic officials, "Grand Admiral Thrawn was not present at the Battle of Jakku. How can we trust this claim?"
Vader, as implacable as ever, responded, "Thrawn operates in the shadows, orchestrating his moves with precision. His absence from Jakku is not important of his overall influence in the Unknown Regions."
Chancellor Leia Organa, addressing her father as "Lord Vader," replied. "Very well Lord Vader, do you view Thrawn as a threat to our government or willing to cooperate to safeguard against these unknown threats?"
"I do not sense deception from him. He reached out to me for a reason. I believe he is willing to cooperate with this government from my control of the remaining Imperial Navy. Thrawn and I have had a history together that goes back to the Clone Wars."
Hera lowered her brow. "That is news to me, Vader. But back to the topic, I see this as a long game because we don't know if and when these threats will threaten the known Galaxy."
Leia expressed her gratitude for this revelation. "Your information is valuable, Lord Vader. The Republic will tread carefully, but we appreciate your willingness to share this intel."
Vader inclined his head slightly in acknowledgment. "To finalize, a part of my fleet will secure Ilum, ensuring its protection. Additionally, I will dispatch a reconnaissance team to assess any damage done during the Empire. Skywalker has plans to utilize Ilum for the training of future Jedi, allowing them to attune to their kyber crystals."
Leia nodded, understanding the significance of Ilum and its connection to the Jedi. "We appreciate your cooperation, Lord Vader. We will monitor both situations closely."
As the hologram dissipated, the weight of their shared concerns hung in the air. The galaxy, caught in the delicate balance between the remnants of the Empire and the New Republic, faced challenges that would shape its potential compromise with Grand Admiral Thrawn.
