THE LION GUARD: BONGO THE SLYEST
CAN'T WAIT TO BE QUEEN

Another day in the Pride Lands, though it wasn't quite peaceful this time.

In the forest, Kion and Kiara were facing off each other next to the tree with the claw marks on it, hunched low, teeth bared, and growling each other. The reason for this was that Kion had found Kiara sharpening her claws by his favorite scratching tree, before the golden prince had driven his sister away from the tree before standing defensively in front of it.

"Back off!" Kion demanded with the growl.

"You back off, Kion!" Kiara shot back with the glare. "That was my tree!"

"Your tree?!" Kion growled, stepping forward towards his sister emphatically. "I already told you! That's my scratching tree!"

"There are trees everywhere! You can sharpen your claws in which tree you want!" Kiara shot back, hunching low. "But I was here first to claim this one! So step aside!"

"No way!" Kion refused, shaking his head. "Unlike you, I need to keep my claws sharp after every time I stop Janja and his hyenas from causing the trouble or cleaning up after the thunderstorms! Besides, you can't tell me what to do!"

"Uh, actually, she can." Simba's voice then said, making both Kion and Kiara look up in surprise as their father walked up to them, sitting in-between of his fighting children. "For the next few days, Kiara will be queen."

"Me?!" Kiara gasped in shock.

"Her?! Queen?!" Kion gasped, shocked as well. "Dad, what's going on?"

"Kiara will be acting queen while your mom and I are away at Kilio Valley." Simba explained, looking at Kiara and then at Kion.

"Kilio Valley?" Kiara repeated. "You are visiting the elephants? Why?"

"Because we have a funeral to attend." Simba said, looking down with sadness. "My friend Aminifu has passed away."

Kion's and Kiara's eyes went wide at such of news, before they frowned in sadness and pinned their ears against the backs of their heads.

"Oh, no. Aminifu, the leader of the elephants. I remember him." Kiara said, sadly.

"Me too. He was a wisest of elephants." Kion recalled sadly.

"Yes. He was." Simba nodded. "He helped the Pride Lands return to normal after Scar was defeated. Once the elephants returned, all the other animals began to follow them, and the Circle of Life came back into balance." he explained. "And now, Aminifu has completed his part in the Circle of Life."

Kion and Kiara lowered their heads down in sadness.

As he said this, a small gust of wind carrying the leaves blew past him, which reminded him as a sign of his late father Mufasa's presence, likely to reassure his son that Aminifu's spirit was in peace.

"I'm so sorry, Dad." Kiara said, and then she became curious. "Um, how long will you and Mom be gone?"

"Just for a few days. We'll be on our way tomorrow," Simba answered, till he noticed Kiara's nervousness over this. "And I'll let you in on a little secret - I was nervous about ruling the Pride Lands at first too." the king reassured as he lifted his daughter's chin with his paw and nuzzled her.

"I'm not nervous." Kiara defended with the nervous chuckle before she relented. "OK. Maybe a little."

"It's okay. I have faith in you." Simba reassured, before he and Kiara nuzzled each other warmly. Simba then turned to Kion, who looked expectantly at his father. "And the Lion Guard as well." the king said, making Kion to smile.

"Just keep the peace and everything will be fine." Simba told them.

"I won't let you down, dad." Kiara assured him.

"I'm sure of it, Kiara." Simba told her. "Or should I say, Queen Kiara?" the king lightly teased his daughter with the smirk.

This made Kiara's face turn to shock, before she turned her head away, laughing nervously.

However, what the royal family didn't know was that a trio of old troublemakers were watching them closely from the bush.

"Did you heard that, fellas?" Moto asked from his friends, Konda and Mafu, as he watched the royal family heading back to the Pride Rock. "Kiara is going to be the acting queen for the next few days while the King is gone visiting the elephants."

"For some boring funeral of the elephant with nothing to eat in there." Mafu groaned boredly.

"You gluttonous bottomless oaf!" Moto hissed, whacking Mafu in the head with the back of his paw. "I ain't interested in the funeral of the old timer elephant! I am only interested what opportunities this will grand to us."

"What opportunities?" Konda asked.

"Well, what do you think, moron?!" Moto hissed, raising up his claws to strike him, making Konda to flinch away. "Opportunities to make everyone see Kion's no different from Scar. And that is ironic."

"How?" both Konda and Mafu asked.

"Well, Kion's the Leader of the Lion Guard and so was Scar. Kion's is the younger brother of Queen Kiara, and Scar was the younger brother of the King Simba's father. And both of you know what Scar thought about his older brother, don't you?" Moto asked them.

"Jealousy?" Mafu answered.

"Resentment?" Konda answered as well.

"Exactly!" Moto exclaimed. "All we need to do is to make Kiara feel so proud, so confident, so, so, so, so superior over Kion and the Lion Guard that Kion cannot bear it and will resent her just like Scar resented Mufasa."

"To the point of repeating the history again?" Konda asked, indirectly reminding Moto about the part where Scar murdered Mufasa in the wildebeest stampede.

"No, you oaf!" Moto hissed. "Just to the point where everybody can see that Kion's nothing but the little Scar-junior." he said, chuckling sinisterly to his new plan to disgrace Kion in the eyes of the pridelanders.

The next morning, Kiara stood on the Pride Rock's promontory and watches as King Simba and Nala were walking away from the Pride Rock and heading towards Kilio Valley, with Zazu flying overhead.

"It is a big responsibility." Simba told to Nalas as they walked across the savannah, with the king feeling a little nervous.

"Worried about Kiara, or are you worried about your tribute?" Nala asked her husband.

SimbaƤs face turned into the shock as he and his mate stopped. "Wha? Why-Why would I be worried about that?" he asked from her.

Nala chuckled, knowing that Simba was lying about him being a nervous. "I don't know. Maybe because you have to say it in Elephantese? And if I remember correctly, you had a very hard time to speak Elephantese properly when we were growing up. You kept saying things you never even knew you were saying." she lightly teased him.

Simba groaned and rolled his eyes, "Yes. Elephants and their traditions."

"And they take those traditions very seriously, Sire." Zazu said, landing on a nearby rock next to Simba and Nala.

"Oh, believe me, I know." Simba nodded, rolling his eyes again. "It has to be perfect."

"True. But it's just one phrase." Zazu said before he cleared his throat. "Ehie kala pono tou."

"Hmm. Easy for you to say." Simba said, rolling his eyes.

"Oh, I suppose it is. But then, I am fluent in elephant," Zazu started, as Simba and Nala strided past him. "not to mention gorilla, chimpanzee, and several dialects of bushbuck.

"Yes, Zazu. We know." Nala said to Zazu over her shoulder

"Believe me, sire." Zazu called, as he flew after Simba and Nala. "By the time we get there, I'll have you speaking like a true elephant!"

But as they walked away, they didn't know that Mzingo the vulture was watching them from hiding in the nearby tree. The sinister vulture then flew down from the tree and landed on the rock Zazu had been standing on a moment ago.

"Hmm. Simba and Nala leaving the Pride Rock to visit the elephants. This will be worth keeping an eye on." he said to himself with interest, before he flew away and towards the Pride Rock.

A little further away, Simba and Nala continued walking across the savanna, with Zazu flying overhead.

"It's things like this that almost make me wish I wasn't king." Simba admitted with the sigh.

"Come on now, Sire. It's really not as bad as all of that." Zazu reassured his king.

"Having to say goodbye to an old friend in a language that I don't understand?!" Simba fired back with the scowl.

"Yes. This is an unfortunate duty. But you have so many other wonderful ones, sire." Zazu said, as he landed on a nearby rock as Simba and Nala stopped again. "If I may say so."

Nala then lowered her head down to Zazu's level. "Actually, Zazu, I think Simba could use a little reminding." the queen suggested.

"Yes, of course!" Zazu agreed and flew up as the music started to fill the air.

Nearby, Twiga the giraffe was eating leaves from a tree until Zazu flies up to her.

Zazu

"Everyone in the Pride Lands big or small"

"Looks forward to whenever you may call"

Twiga and a hyrax in her feet see Simba and Nala before rushing over to them and bowed before the king with Zazu in the middle bowing as well.

"A visit from your highness is an honor yes it's true"

Simba nodded in acknowledgement, before he looked around and saw other animals, such as Mbuni and the baby ostrich with her and the mongoose bowing to him as well in the distance.

"All your subjects wants so much to be with you"

"So embrace your position"

"The Royal Tradition"

"Uniting the Pride Lands with every little thing"

"In all of the wonderful duties of the king"

Simba and Nala then jumped over a little pond, where some fishes were jumping in the water, then a ring of fish forms up and they spray water into the air like a fountain.

Simba is then sitting while several birds fly past him.

"You welcome birds from all around"

Several gazelles prance past Simba.

"Grant gazelles their grazing grounds"

A blue turaco lands on a nearby tree and whistles before flying away.

"Behoove the official turaco whistles"

"Guard the clearing of pointing thistles"

Simba parts some grass, revealing the wedding between. Muhangus and Muhanga as the two aardvarks approach on either side of the king and kiss.

"Reside over aardvark wedding rights"

Simba then leaps away and approaches a group of mongooses. He bites the air, and they copy him.

"Coach the mongooses and their bites"

Zebras are bucking and braying, while Simba watches from a ledge above them.

"Listen to the zebras' silly pleas"

Several monkeys hang down from a nearby tree. One monkey sneezes and falls off its branch, but Simba catches him before he could hit the ground.

"And bless any animal when they sneeze"

Zazu then flies up to Simba.

"So embrace your position"

"The Royal Tradition"

Zazu flies off, while Simba and Nala stroll along below him.

"Uniting the Pride Lands with every little thing"

"In all of the wonderful duties of the king"

Zazu spirals higher into the air, before flyhing up to Simba

"In all of the wonderful duties of the king"

Two bushbucks prance past Simba, with the second one prancing over his head.

"You set the limits of Bushbuck hopping"

A hippopotamus belly-flops into a pool, while Simba watches from a nearby rock.

"Judge the hippo's belly-flopping"

A crocodile in the pool opens its mouth and groans.

"Consider crocodiles complaints"

From the shore, Simba bends down and kisses a baby porcupine.

"And tend to kiss baby porcupines oh so gently"

Simba

Simba passes through a wooded area, with birds flitting over his head.

"Assign the songbirds to their trees"

A chimpanzee is sitting in a nearby tree, looking down at the king while scratching his head.

"Advice confused chimpanzees"

Simba approaches a bee hive, with the beez buzzing harmlessly around of his head.

"Ceremonial naming of the bees"

Zazu

Shingo shifts uncomfortably as fleas hop around in his fur, as Simba and Zazu approach him.

"Consoling giraffes when they get fleas"

Simba

"Actually, that's not much fun"

Zazu

"The fleas do tend to spread but that's said"

Zazu flies off and through a wooded area, with Simba and Nala strolling along behind him.

"So embrace your position"

Simba

"The Royal Tradition"

Zazu

Simba and Nala begin to dance to the beat.

"Uniting the Pride Lands with every little thing"

"In all of the wonderful"

Simba

"In all of the wonderful"

Simba and Zazu

"In all of the wonderful duties of the king"

Simba, Nala, and Zazu then pose together.

"In all of the wonderful duties of the king"

The music ends.

"That's more like it." Nala said, before she turned to her husband. "Did that help?"

"Yes, it did." Simba admitted before he turned to Zazu. "Thank you, Zazu. I do feel better now."

"Wonderful, Sire!" Zazu exclaimed with delight. "Now, about your Elephantese accent?"

Simba, however, gulped with the newfound worry as he and Nala continued walking.

Nala saw the nervousness returning to her husband's face, but could only hope everything will end well.

###

Back in the Pride Lands, Beshte, Bongo, Fuli and Bunga were walking towards the Pride Rock. "Hey, did you hear?" Beshte asked from his friends. "Kiara is queen of the Pride Lands."

"Yeah!" Bunga exclaimed, jumping up and spinning in the air briefly. "It's un-bunga-lievable!"

"Hmm, it was bound to happen, eventually." Fuli shrugged, nonchalantly.

"I'm sure she'll be a nice queen," Beshte smiled.

"Well, Beshte, she is only gonna be queen 'till King Simba and Queen Nala come back from the Kilio Valley." Bongo reminded. "But I wonder how well Kion's gonna take all of this. They, I mean Kion and Kiara, haven't been on very good terms lately the last I saw.

"It's gonna be a nightmare!" Kion's voice said, making the Guard to turn around to see Kion bouncing downhill along the rocks to join his friends. "Being bossed around by my older sister for a few days." the prince fummed.

"Oh, can that voice low, Kion. It's just a few days." Bongo chuckled. "How bad can that be?"

Kion was about to answer, when he realized that they were one member short. "Hey, has anyone seen Ono? It's not like him to be late for morning patrol." the prince asked, looking around for the Keenest of Sight.

"Here he comes!" Fuli said, seeing Ono flying towards them, until he flew past them,

"And there he goes?" Bunga said in confusion as they saw him flying towards the Pride Rock.

"What? Why is he going to Pride Rock?" Kion wondered.

"Beats me." Bongo shrugged.

###

The Guard went back to the Pride Rock, where they found Ono standing on the promontory of Pride Rock, nipping at one of his wings.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm. Got to get clean for the queen." he muttered to himself.

"Hey, Ono!" Kion called out, startling the egret. "What are you doing here? We have patrol."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Kion." Ono apologized, "Uh, Queen Kiara asked me for a favor."

"Queen Kiara?" Kion repeated, frowning in disgust.

"Kion! Shutupshutupshutup!" Bongo hissed with the low voice, getting the prince's attention, before the dog puppy motioned his head towards the entrance of the royal den.

There they saw Tiifu and Zuri standing side by side at the entrance with wide smiles on their muzzles.

"Announcing her Royal Majesty..." Zuri began.

"Ruler of the Pride Lands..." Tiifu followed.

"Queen Kiara!" The two lioness cubs finished in unison, before they stepped aside as Kiara, the acting queen, walked formally out of the den. "Make way! Make way for the queen." Tiifu added.

"Your Majesty." Bunga said as Kiara walked past him, and the honey badger instantly dropped down on his knees and bowed before Kiara.

Kion rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Bunga, that's really unnecessary." Kiara told the honey badger, a bit awkward of this.

"Thank you, Your Majest-" Bunga said as he raised his head, only to be pushed down by Tiifu.

"You're a queen now, Kiara." the light-furred cub reminded her friend "So, let him bow."

"Yeah, everyone should bow." Zuri agreed, until Kiara gave her an expectant look. "Well, not us. I mean, we're at your services." the tawny-orange lioness chuckled.

"It's my pleasure, Your Majesty." Bunga said in a muffled voice.

Kiara leaned down to Bunga's level. "Bunga, stand up." she said, nervously. The honey badger did as told and jumped to his feet.

"Your wish is my command." Bunga said, bowing at Kiara again.

"Oh, boy." Bongo said with the annoyed eyeroll. "Doesn't Bunga have a shame over taking some things such as this a little too dramatically?" he asked from Fuli.

"You tell me, Bongo." Fuli agreed.

Kion then stepped towards Kiara with the annoyed scowl. "Kiara, what was so important you had to take Ono away from our patrol?"

"Zazu went with mom and dad, remember?" Kiara reminded, as Zuri and Tiifu stood by her side. "I need someone to give me the morning report. And Ono is the Keenest of Sight, so why not him?"

Kion gave Ono a side-ways look, before he relented grudgingly. "Yeah, okay. But he's still part of the Lion Guard." the prince reminded. "You should have asked me first."

"Kion! Kiara is your queen!" Tifu scolded.

"And you better respect her as such." Zuri added.

Kion glared at the two lionesses for siding his sister against him.

"That's right!" Moto's voice called out from behind all of them, making everybody turn around to see Moto, Konda and Mafu walking up to them, each three of them carrying the piece of meat in their mouths before Moto dropped down his. "Queen Kiara doesn't have to ask anyone for anything anymore. And since she's your queen now, she doesn't need to ask anything from you!"

"Oh, no! Not him!" Bongo groaned in annoyance and rolled his eyes.

"Moto and the co." Kion growled, glaring hatefully at the bully and his friends.

Moto and his friends then walked up to Kiara and each one of them bowed their heads deep down to her in respect, so to speak, before they dropped their pieces of meat from their mouths in her feet. Konda's piece was gazelle, Moto's zebra, and Mafu's...

Well, both Moto and Konda were both surprised and dismayed when they realized that Mafu dropped in Kiara's feet nothing but a bare bone, having already wolfed down all the meat from around of it. And as the proof of it, Mafu was licking his salive-drenched chops, until he stopped upon seeing Moto glaring at him.

"What? I was hungry." Mafu defended.

"I told you not to eat the tribute to the Queen Kiara, you gluttonous bottomless moron!" Moto growled angrily in Mafu's face, making the overweight lion to hunch low submissively.

Moto then turned to his own piece and pushed it towards Kiara, while Konda did the same with his own piece, before the two lions straightened up.

"Your Majesty," Moto started, bowing his head again. "Please, accept our humble tributes to your royal graceness."

Kiara was taken aback by Moto's gentlemanly and respectful demeanor, as this was a completely more than how he usually acted in her presence despite him being known as a bully, while the Guard glared at the trio of troublemakers angrily.

"Her Majesty will accept them kindly. Thank you, Moto." Zuri said as she and Tiifu took the pieces of meat for Kiara.

"Please, it's nothing but my humblest pleasure to serve the best interest of Her Majesty." Moto added with the kind smile.

"Are you sure that you're doing this just because of Queen Kiara, Moto?" Bongo questioned with the sucpisious scowl. "Or are you doing this just to get under of Kion's skin again because of your obsession for that "Scar-junior" stuff of yours.

"That's preposterous, you stupid mutt!" Moto growled at the wild dog puppy.

"Stupid?!" Bongo gasped before he narrowed his eyes into a threatening glare while hunching low and growled even louder at the mean lion. "I'll show you the stupid, you stupid, stupider, stupidest..."

Not taking kindly of the wild dog's insults, Moto hunched low and growled threateningly back at Bongo, making Beshte, Bunga and Fuli to stand up for their friend to Moto.

Sensing the tension, Kiara stepped forward.

"Alright! That's enough!" Kiara said with authoritative voice, making everybody turn to look at her. "I might be the queen, but since my dad asks Zazu all the time for the morning reports, then I'll ask Ono for his morning report."

"That doesn't change the beauty of the whole thing, Your Majesty." Moto said as he turned to Kiara. "I mean, you're the queen of all the Pride Lands. You can tell anyone what you want them to do and you can do whatever you want to do, without even need to ask. Ain't that right?" he asked, winking at Kiara.

Kiara glared at Moto. "I am not taking my duties that lightly, Moto." she said sternly, before she turned to Ono. "Ono? Can I please have your morning report?"

"Yes, Your Majesty." Ono said with the salute and hopped forward to the acting queen and cleared his throat. "Uh, all appears to be in order from Mekundu Cliffs to Ukuni Woods. There's much excitement about your becoming acting queen." This made Kiara smirks pleasantly, while Kion frowned frustratingly. "The oryxes aren't fighting, for a change. The eland herd is migrating east along the river, as expected. Oh, also, on the path along the river, I spotted a new cluster of beehives.

Bunga was super-excited to hear the last one. "Bees and honey together make a great snacks." he noted.

"If you say so." Fuli told him.

"And that's the morning report." Ono finished.

"Interesting." Kiara muttered. "Alright. Thank you, Ono."

"Yeah. Great job, Ono." Kion repeated, dryly, rolling his eyes.

"Thank you for the opportunity, my queen." Ono said, bowing to Kiara.

Kion let out a loud annoyed groan at that, making Ono to turn towards the prince.

"And you, er," Ono stuttered, cowering in front of the annoyed prince. "my Kion?" he finished with the sheepish smile.

"Sounds like everything is okay. So, can I have Ono back for the Guard's morning patrol now?" Kion said, trying to keep his annoyance with this whole situation under control the best he could.

"Hang on, Kion, I'm... I'm thinking." Kiara told him as she began to ponder about the last part of the morning report. "The bees are building hives on the path along the river. The elands use that same path. If the elands step on the beehives, they'll get stung."

"She's right, Kion." Bongo called, making the prince to turn to him. "If that happens, the bee-stung herd would go nuts and break off and cause a lot of trouble."

"Exactly, Bongo" Kiara said, making Bongo to bow his head down to the acting queen.

"Oh? I didn't think about that." Kion muttered.

"Oh, but you didn't have to. You're not the queen." Tiifu said with the snarky look on her face.

Zuri laughed as she and Tiifu exchanged a fist bump with each other as Kion stroded past them, frowning at the two lionesses though he chose to ignore them.

"You know, Kion? They're right. You're not the queen." Moto said snidely, before raising his voice up. "Let alone King! And you probably never will be!"

"Hey!" Bongo called out angrily, walking up to Kion to stand up to Moto. "He might not be a king, but he's still a prince of the Pride Lands! A royal family! A royal blood!" the wild dog puppy reminded harshly while getting in Motto's face, "Which means that compared to him, YOU... are nothing but a low subject, and thus obliged to show respect his majesty!"

Bongo then turned to Tiifu and Zuri. "And the same goes for you two too, you pitiful, whiny, poor excuses of the proper lionesses!"

Both Zuri and Tiifu gasped in wide-eyed shock at what Bongo had just called them.

"And more than that, he's the Leader of the Lion Guard!" Bongo added, pointing with his paw at the mark on Kion's shoulder. "And while not a king, he's still doing a lot for the kingdom along with me and the rest of the Guard, unlike you Moto! You and your friends nothing more but keep making fun of him for your own amusement while lazing around and doing nothing for the kingdom yourself."

Moto, however, remained casual in front of Bongo's accusations against him.

"He's a prince, alright." Moto admitted. "But he's also the second-born and not next-in-line like Queen Kiara! That, along with him being the Leader of the Lion Guard, makes him therefore a reincarnation of Scar!" he added, chuckling darkly.

Kion frowned at Moto angrily while the rest of the Guard glared hatefully at the mean lion for comparing the prince to the late disgraceful lion. Even Kiara shot a glare at Moto's direction.

"I knew that this was all because of that!" Bongo said, glaring up at Moto with nothing but venom in his eyes, while Moto nothing but smirked down at the smaller wild dog puppy.

"Kion is nothing like Scar! He'll never be like him!" he growled through his gritted teeth. "Put that thing into your tight skull of yours, unless its empty because you apparently keep losing your brains somewhere else!" he spat, ponting one of his paws' toes/fingers at his own head to make his point hit home.

Bongo then turned away from Moto and began to walk back to the rest of the Guard, before he glanced at Kion over his shoulder and motioned his head towards their friends, beckoning him to follow him.

Moto then walked up next to the edge of the promontory of Pride Rock, his eyes fixed on the puppy. "Well, at least I haven't lost my mommy or my memories of her." he sneered.

Bongo's head jumped upright and the pup let out an aloud gasp in shock upon hearing what Moto just said, which froze him in spot, made his eyes go wide - and even welled from tears - as his mouth hung sluck.

Kion, the rest of the Guard, even Kiara gasped in shock upon hearing this, because that happened to be a very, very sensitive topic for Bongo to speak off.

The moment later Bongo's fur bristled, his claws came out and his muscles tensed as the pup hunched low and his shocked look turned into a blind fury. Even his Mark was glowing ominously reddish.

"Hapana!" Ono gasped with worry and flapped his wings frantically, getting air airborne before the beast would get on the loose and sought refuge from Beshte's back.

"Uh-oh." Fuli muttered worriedly.

"Bongo?" Kion said, helding out one paw towards his best friend in attempt to calm him down, but instantly pulled it back when Bongo swiftly spun around towards Moto, his teeth bared and barking furiously, making everybody around him flinch.

"ALRIGHT! THAT'S IT!" Bongo barked and, claws stretched outwards, pounced on the mean lion, who stared at the pup with the wide-eyed shock before he got tackled by the smaller pup empowered by the Mark.

Bongo's attack on Moto knocked them both over the edge of the promontory and they ended up rolling downhill to the feet of the Pride Rock as the others looked down at the two.

Afterwards, the others could hear nothing else but loud growling and barking in anger, along with the clawing and biting with such of level that the Guard, Kiara, Tiifu, Zuri and Moto's friends cringed and flinched at the each blow that came after the other.

"OUCH! THAT WENT WAY TOO PERSONAL, MOTO! UHH!" Bongo barked angrily.
"GAH! HEY! WHAT ARE YOU... OW!" Moto grunted in pain.
"UGH! I DID WARN YOU EVER MENTIONING MY MOM BEFORE! DIDN'T I?! ARGH!" Bongo asked.
"OWW! MY TAIL! TEETH OFF MY TAIL! HOLD STILL, YOU STUPID DOG! OHH!" Moto growled.
"AGH! YOU'LL PAY FOR WHAT YOU SAID! UGH!" Bongo growled.
"OW! LET GO OF ME, YOU LITTLE CRETIN! OUCH!" Moto demanded.
"AGH! I'M GONNA TEAR YOU APART, YOU POOR EXCUSE OF A LION! OHH!" Bongo growled.
"AHH! I SAID, LET GO OF ME! AND WATCH MY FUR! YEOUCH!" Moto cautioned.
"OUCH! NEVER, EVER, MENTION HER TO ME AGAIN! EVER! GAH!" Bongo demanded.
"OW! OW! OWOWOWOWOW! NOT THERE! NOT THERE! ARGH!" Moto yelped in pain.
"YEOUCH! THAT'S RIGHT! YOU WANTED PIECE OF ME, YOU GOT IT! AGH!" Bongo growled.

"Anybody wants to wait till Bongo runs out of steam?" Bunga suggested to his friends. "I would, because I actually like this show." the honey badger admitted.

Kion rolled his eyes as he turned away from the fight to the rest of his friends. "Okay. Lion Guard, let's move out to our patrol, after we break the fight before anyone gets even more hurt, Bongo most importantly."

"Kion, wait! Hold on!" Kiara called out as she bounded towards Kion, making him to reluctantly turn back to his sister. "Can you and the Guard divert the eland herd away from the bees' nest?"

"Huh? I guess we could, but..." Kion was about to say.

"Ooh! Ooh! Queen Kiara's first official decree!" Zuri exclaimed, curring Kion off as she and Tiifu hopped onto their hind legs and clasp paws.

"My first decree?" Kiara said, turning back to her friends.

"Queen Kiara's first official decree!" Zuri repeated. "The Lion Guard will... Uhh... What was it again?" she glanced at Tiifu for help to get her out of here.

"The Lion Guard will divert the eland herd away from the beehives." Tiifu announced. "So says the queen."

Kiara shrugged and turned back to Kion and the Guard with the smug smile. "Yes. So says me, after you get Bongo and Moto from tearing each other apart, of course."

"Now, off you go to do your job. Shoo-shoo." Zuri said, glancing directly at the Guard.

Kion let out the groan but held it together. "Come on, guys." he told his friends as the Guard left to do their duty.

"By your command, my queen." Bunga said, making another dramatic bow before following the others down the Pride Rock backways.

As they made their way down the Pride Rock, when Kiara was out of the earshot, Kion began to grumble in annoyance over this whole thing.

"Did I just get an order from my sister?" Kion asked with the frown.

"No. You got an official decree." Fuli said cheekily.

Meanwhile, Zazu was standing on a tree branch teaching King Simba Elephantese and Simba was having some trouble while Nala was watching it from aside.

"No, no, no, Sire. It's like this: Ehie kala pono tou." Zazu pronounced.

"Ehke kana puo tu," Simba struggled to pronounce just before he groaned in annoyance, "What in the Pride Lands does that mean, again?"

"Literally, it translates to "He had good on him"." Zazu explained. "Which means he was a good elephant."

"Well, that is certainly true." Simba agreed, lowering his head a bit. "Aminifu had much good on him."

"And now, you'll just have to say it in Elephantese." Zazu said.

Simba, however, had ran out of patience. "I can't say it in Elephantese. And do you know why?" Simba asked, rhetorically. "Because I'm not an ELEPHANT! ROAR!" the king roared angrily in Zazu's face, causing him to fall off the tree branch and land into the patch of grass.

"Simba, you might not be an elephant, but you are a king." Nala reminded calmly, calming her husband down. "And as a king, this is to be expected of you." the Queen added, nuzzling encouragingly Simba's mane.

Simba let out a sigh, calming down. All he just wanted was everything to go properly so that he could give Aminifu his goodbyes respectfully towards both him and the elephant traditions without making a fool of himself.

"And Aminifu was a good friend and he deserves the best. Thanks, Nala" Simba thanked, giving Nala a nuzzle in return, before he turned back to Zazu. "Alright, Zazu, once more from the top."

"Of course, Sire." Zazu groaned as he dragged himself up from the grass to continue teaching Simba Elephantese.

Back home, the Guard was standing behind of the some rocks while observing the several beehives that littered a trail on the savanna.

"Beehives in the path just like you said, Ono." Kion said, looking up at Ono. "But where are the elands?"

Ono flew above the tree tops to check it out and scanned the area with his keen vision, until he spotted the herd coming, though some distance away from them.

"I see them, Kion! They're on their way!" the egret reported. "Just around the bend."

"Okay. So what do you suggest, Bongo?" Kion asked, but got no response from the dog pup, making the Fiercest to look where he thought Bongo to be standing, between Fuli and Bunga, only to see the spot empty.

"Bongo?" Kion repeated.

A small yelps and grunts behind their backs made the rest of the Guard to turn to look behind them over their shoulders.

Bongo was sitting there while grooming and re-adjusting his ragged and messy fur and tail after his rough fight with Moto, while licking the bleeding off from some of the claw marks he'd received all over him, though the wild dog puppy was left with the right swollen eye.

"Ohh! I'm gonna feel sore all over tomorrow!" Bongo groaned, shaking his fur. "Oh, well. At least Moto looks a way more worse than what I do."

"You know, Bongo? You could've just walk away." Beshte told his friend calmly. "I know Moto was trying to get under yours and Kion's skin with the whole thing like always, but even he wasn't worth of it."

"But you also know how sensitive I am with the whole subject of my mom, Beshte. Especially when she is spoken of so disrespectfully as Moto did, after she gave her life to save mine." Bongo pointed out.

"Bongo's right, Beshte." Fuli said. "Moto went too far by insulting Bongo's mom. He had it coming."

"Yes, I know. But..." Beshte was about to say.

"Guys, focus!" Kion called to them, and they all turned back to the beehives, with Bongo taking his spot between Fuli and Bunga. "So, Bongo, what do you say?"

"Did Ono already checked the location of the herd?" the wild dog pup asked, which Kion confirmed with the nod.

"Okay." Bongo said and took a careful look of the situation before he came up with an idea. "I'd say that when the herd gets here, we'll move them off the path and across the fields. Far away from the bees."

"You're sly dog, Bongo." Fuli praised her friend with the smile.

"You know, it's hard to believe that something so small could bother something so big." Beshte noted.

"Yeah, seems kinda silly." Kion agreed. "Moving a whole herd of elands just to avoid a few little bees."

Bongo blinked his eyes at the Strongest and Fiercest. ""Something so small"? "A few little bees"? Have you two no idea about the bees like the hyenas have no idea of the Circle of Life?" the dog pup chided them.

Beshte and Kion turned to Bongo, raising the brow.

"One sting from a single bee may not be a big deal, but there's, what, thousands and thousands of them per hive, and being stung by the swarm of bees unwisely provoked! Hrrr! You guys don't want to know what it's like being awfully itchy from the bee-stings." Bongo cautioned.

"Bongo is right." Ono said as the Keenest of Sight landed hovered next to Kion. "And besides, that was Queen Kiara's decree."

Kion let out an annoyed groan at this. "Yeah, Queen Kiara's decree. Not to mention about Moto seeking any excuse to ridicule us, even through of Kiara's just temporary queenship."

Little did the Lion Guard know that Mzingo was eavesdropping them from the branch of a nearby tree.

"Besides, Kiara's only been queen for a day. I've been leading the Lion Guard for a lot longer than that. And Moto thinks I'll just do a terrible job." Kion pointed out. "Kiara can tell me to do something, but she can't tell me how to do it. I'll take this to a whole new level where even Moto wouldn't dare to go. I say we move the bees." Kion declared with the smirk.

"Move the bees?!" both Ono and Mzingo repeated with the raised eyebrow, the former worriedly and the latter confusedly.

"Kion, don't do it." Bongo cautioned worriedly. "Pissing off the bees just because of your pride ain't a good idea."

"Pfft! Come on, Bongo!" Bunga scoffed as he jumped onto a rock. "What could possibly go wrong?"

5 minutes later.

"AAAAHHHHHHHH!" the Lion Guard screamed as they ran along the river while being chased by a huge swarm of angry bees.

"AAAAHHHH!" Ono screamed as the bees chased him in a loop through the air.

Bunga, meanwhile was casually sitting by a beehive on the trail and scooped honey out of it, while not minding about the angry insects buzzing . "What are you guys running for? Bees taste even better when they're mad!" the honey badger said as he ate the honey.

"Was this really worth it, Kion?!" Bongo yelled at his best friend, running by his side. "Was getting the bees mad at us really worth of it?!"

"Yeah! Maybe we should've diverted the elands away from the bees in the first place!" Fuli yelled in agreement from Kion's other side.

"Don't worry about the elands!" Kion yelled back.

However, as the Guard turned around the bend, their faces turned to shock when they noticed the aforementioned eland herd coming right towards them.

"THE ELANDS!" Kion, Fuli, Bongo, Ono and Beshte gasped.

As the surprised elands charged at Kion, Beshte, Fuli, Bongo and Ono, the Guard attempted to skid to a halt but ended up to collide headfirst into the herd of elands.

Bongo shook his head before looking back, his ears pressing against the back of his skull while his face recoiled with worry. "Uh-oh! Kion!"

Kion looked back and saw the swarm of bees heading straight towards them. "Oh, Hevi Kabisa! Incoming!"

"TWENDE SASA!" Bongo yelped.

Soon, the air was full of alarmed grunts from the elands and screams and yelps of pain from the Lion Guard as they were stung by the bees.

###

Later at the Pride Rock, in the royal den.

"There may have been a small problem with the bees and the elands." Kion admitted as he and the Guard faced Kiara, who stood in front of the throne with Tiifu and Zuri by her side, all but Bunga covered with the itchy bee stings.

"A small problem?" Kiara repeated with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, it wasn't a total disaster." Kion added, before he scratched at a sting in his side.

Moto, whose ragged body was covered with the various claw- and bite-marks - especially from his rear end, rendering him unable to sit for a week at least - from Bongo's claws and teeth during their fight, with his left eye swolled and a small piece of his right ear missing, stood aside with Mafu and Konda. The mean lion and his friends couldn't help but chuckle at Kion's and most of the Guard's appearances after the bee attack.

"Oh, really?" Moto mocked. "It looks pretty total disaster to me." he glanced at the Guard scratching their own awfully itchy stings.

"Yeah. A total delicious." Bunga said, messy from eating the honey while eating some bees he'd taken with him.

"Shut up, Moto, unless you're up to for another round!" Bongo threatened as he scratched the stings behind his ear. "Ohh! So itchy!"

The wild dog pup then stepped forward. "For the record, Your Highness, I was against this whole thing." Bongo said, scowling at Kion while adressing Queen Kiara.

"I second that as well." Ono agreed, nipping his wings on Beshte's back.

"But, if I speak for the Queen Kiara's mind, it wasn't either one of yours call to move the bees instead of the elands, for none of you two is the Leader of the Lion Guard." Moto pointed out. "Kion's the Leader of the Lion Guard, so he has to bear the responsibility of his... recklessness, or incompetence to carry out Her Majesty's given tasks."

"Incompetence?!" Kion shot back, glaring at Moto.

"Reckless this time maybe, but he ain't incompetent?!" Bongo added, baring his teeth at Moto and growling at him.

"No. I think that Moto is right." Kiara eventually said.

"WHAT?!" Kion, Bongo, fuli, Beshte and Ono gasped in surprise, with the golden prince staring at his sister in shock that she's side with Moto against him.

"I gave you a decree to divert the eland herd away from the bees and you chose to do the other way around." Kiara chided her brother. "So admit it. I was right about the bees, and you were wrong."

"I admit it, Your Majesty!" Bunga piped up, once more bowing to Kiara in dramatic way.

"What's there to admit?" Tiifu noted. "The queen is always right."

"Especially giving titles to her top advisors." Zuri added with a smile. "Dame Tiifu and Lady Zuri."

"What?" Kiara questioned, glancing doubtfully at her friends over her shoulder.

"Lady Tiifu and Dame Zuri?" Tiifu amended.

Bongo rolled his eyes at the two lionesses.

"Well, after the bees relented, we did manage to round up the elands." Kion informed, with Bunga confirming it with the nod.

"Eventually." Bongo sighed.

"Most of them." Ono added.

"Some of them didn't want to come with us." Fuli followed.

"I don't think they like us," Beshte finished.

"Then, maybe next time, you should listen to your queen." Moto smirked at the prince as he walked up to the throne to stand by Kiara's side.

"Next time?" Kion raised his brow as his body tensed.

"Yes. Next time when she gives you a decree, prince." Moto said with the arrogant sneer. "And by her permission, I'd like to supervise the Guard's progress to fulfill the Queen Kiara's decree, and see to it that it is fulfilled properly this time."

"We don't need you or your friends to breath in our necks while we're doing our job, Moto!" Kion rebuked. "Not even if Kiara says so."

"Queen Kiara, if I may remind you, little brother." Kiara reminded, stamping her paw emphatically and holding her head high haughtily.

Kion turned his glare from Moto to Kiara.

"And next time when I give you a decree, I'm expecting you to listen and do as you're told, and properly so, or I'll seriously consider of having Moto to see it done." Kiara said, narrowing her eyes at Kion. "Or have you forgotten Dad left me in charge?"

Kion rolled his eyes. "It's pretty hard to forget." the prince said quite resentfully. "I'm at least glad that it's just temporary, then I don't have to bear you bossing me around."

Moto, with Konda and Mafu, stood "protectively" around of Kiara, hunching low, baring their teeth and narrowing their eyes into the fierce glares as they growled warningly to Kion to back off. Kion, however, was unfazed by the troublemaker-trio's stand up to him and kept his narrowed eyes foxed on Kiara.

Both Kion and Kiara glared at each other with narrowed eyed, before Bongo stepped in-between and half-forcibly began to nudge Kion towards the exit of the royal den.

"OK. Before we'll have another fight in the Pride Rock, even though I'd like to have a rematch with Moto and have him torn to shreds this time" he glared at Moto. "Right now, we should go to get these bee stings treated." Bongo suggested, guiding Kion out of the royal den with the rest of the Guard following behind.

Kiara, along with Moto as he stood down, watched the Guard leaving, before Kiara gave an annoyed sigh with the eyeroll.

"Ugh! Did he really had to make things hard for everyone here?!" Kiara bemoaned.

"It's not your fault, Your Majesty." Moto told her. "Kion just can't bear the thought of you being the Queen to boss you around, so he's only driven by the instincts to do things by his own way, not yours."

"I can see that, Moto." Kiara agreed.

However, Kiara then looked down in thought and began to become slightly suspicious of Moto. After all, this wasn't the first time when Moto has claimed to her that Kion wants to surpass her as the superior and the insignificant lion figure in the eyes of the pridelanders instead of the future Queen of the Pride Lands when Kion first got the Roar.

"But what are you up to now, Moto?" Kiara asked him with the raised eyebrow.

"Well..." Moto said, scratching himself. "I'm only trying to advice Your Majesty from making the same mistake as your grandfather did with Scar. He failed to keep his little brother under the check and it proved to be his downfall. And, who knows, the same thing will happen to you too if you don't keep your brother under the check."

"Then what are you suggesting?" Kiara asked, partially uneasy anout this but also partially intrigued due to her own annoyance with Kion.

The left corner of Moto's mouth curved up into the brief grin, knowing that he had got Kiara's interest, which fit perfectly to his plot to have Kion disgraced.

"Well, Your Majesty, I'm suggesting that Kion is in urgent need of... discipline." Moto suggested.

"Discipline?" Kiara repeated.

"Yes." Moto nodded. "Kion needs to learn to stay in line, and learn to do exactly as Your Majesty tells him to do. And if he steps across that line or doesn't do as he is told by your decree, then he needs to be disciplined with the punishment suitable for him, which you have all the right to inflict upon him as the Queen." Moto explained calculatingly.

"And you have to do that to him over and over again until he finally realizes he has a very limited options compared to Your Grace's vast and unmatched superiousness. And whether he likes it or not, though I wonder what that does even matter to you, he has to accept that you're superior to him. Including to respect you as his Queen unconditionally. Either easy way or the hard way." he added temptingly.

"Well," Kiara said as she gave Moto's suggestion the moment of thought. "I guess that Kion indeed does need a little discipline about following my direct orders more properly in the future so that there will be no more similiar disasters like the one he caused today."

The smug smirk then crossed her muzzle. "After all, I am the acting Queen of the Pride Lands, so he has little choice or there will be the consequences for his insubordination."

"Wisely said, my queen." Moto said sinisterly, smirking to himself smugly that he'd managed to increase Kiara's confidence in her role as the acting queen and with it her haughtiness and the sense of superiority to make it even more unbearable for Kion.

Knowing that Kion would never respect his sister as queen, let alone tolerate this side of his sister for long, Moto believed that sooner or later Kion would eventually snap and do something very ill-advised to his own sister like Scar did to Mufasa, which would make the Pridelanders see his point that Kion is just as bad as Scar.

Meanwhile, at the entrance of Janja's volcano den in the Outlands, Mzingo was informing Janja of what he saw, while Nne, Cheezi and Chungu were listening.

"You wouldn't believe it, Janja. The whole sky. It was filled with bees." Mzingo informed, "I barely made it out of there without getting stung myself. The Lion Guard, however, wasn't that lucky."

"So, with Simba away in the elephants' territories, brother and sister are not getting along." Janja said and laughed, with Nne, Cheezi and Chungu laughing along.

"Be a shame if their family squabbles led to chaos in the Pride Lands. Janja smirked.

"Not the mention of this Mr. Moto pulling the wedge between of them." Mzingo added. "Attempting to make Kion and the Lion Guard look bad in everybody's eyes and making Kiara to feel superior over her brother."

"Maybe we could all profit from it." Nne spoke up the suggestion, snickering.

Janja gave this a moment of thought, already forming up a sinister plan. "And we will." he nodded with the evil smile, before he sidled up to Mzingo. "Mzingo, tomorrow, I need you to send a message to the new queen. And make sure that Kion isn't in the present." Janja ordered his vulture ally.

"And what about this Mr. Moto?" Mzingo asked.

"Well, since you told me that this "Mr. Moto" lost to that half-eared mutt, Bongo, despite him being bigger and stronger, I think that he won't pose much of the threat." Janja remarked. "And furthermore, if he manages to hear your message, he'll only helps me out by boosting of Kiara's overconfidence in herself even more that she'll refuse to listen Kion's councel."

The hyenas and the vulture then cackled evilly at Janja's plan.

Next day, elsewhere, King Simba, Nala and Zazu have almost arrived at Kilio Valley, though Simba was still having some trouble with his Elephantese.

"Ehie kaka pano tou." Simba pronounced. "Did I get it right that time?"

"Um, it's coming along, Sire." Zazu said with an unsure look.

"You'll get it, Simba." Nala reassured her mate, before she looked up at the hornbill. "Zazu, how much longer until we get there?"

"Actually, we're already arrived." Zazu informed upon landing the rock as they arrived at their destination.

Kilio Valley was a small valley surrounded by many willow trees and a few scattered acacia trees, with several rocks scattered around the area, and a dirt path leading across it.

Down there, a line of resident elephants had gathered before Aminifu's body, placing flowers on him to pay their respects for their late leader with the sad looks on their faces. A gray female elephant with the broken right tusk and dark markings across her forehead, named Ma Tembo, who was Aminifu's daughter, stood sadly by her father's body and hugged him with her trunk.

Seeing the sad look on Ma Tembo's face over the loss of her father, Simba could only sympathize with her, for he knew too well what it felt like to lose a father.

The sight made Simba and Nala share a sad nuzzle with each other.

Simba sighed sadly and resignedly. "Well, time for the tribute." he said before they all went down to the funeral.

###

Back at the Pride Rock, Kiara was at the top of Pride Rock's promontory, overlooking the kingdom, with Moto standing a small distance away from her with Konda and Kufu.

"What are we even doing here, Moto?" Mafu whispered to his friend. "Can we go to get something to eat? I'm hungry."

"Hush, you fool!" Moto growled in Mafu's face. "We're here looking for another opportunity to boost up Kiara's confidence in herself and her superiority over Kion to piss him off some more, until the little Scar-junior reaches to the breaking point and shows everybody his true colors."

"How long will that take before King Simba comes back?" Konda questioned, reminding Moto that they got only this and two days more before King Simba returns.

Moto, however, wasn't worried at all. "By the sight of the things around here, not for long. I'm sure of it. The Scar-junior is already pretty pissed off with Kiara, and only needs only one hard nudge to set him over the edge."

"But what would be that "one hard nudge"?" Konda questioned again.

Moto was about to response to that, until he saw some black spot approaching towards the Pride Rock from the sky, just as Kiara was turning around and striding away. Moto narrowed his eyes to get a clear look of this black spot, until it got close enough to reveal itself to be a large bird. And when Moto realized what species of bird it was and WHO exactly was this bird, he smirked to himself.

"I have a feeling that we'll soon find out." Moto told his friends and motioned his head towards the approaching bird, making Mafu and Konda turn to look up at it.

The bird, revealed to be the vulture and none other than Mzingo, then landed on top of the promontory, before the sneaky vulture called out for Kiara.

"My humblest greetings to you, Queen Kiara." the vulture said in polite greeting, making Kiara turn around to face him. "Being queen obviously suits you."

"Mzingo?" Kiara gasped in surprise, backing away from the vulture a little

Moto then nodded his head towards Kiara as he glanced at Mafu and Konda, giving them "You know the plan/You know what to do." look, before the trio of troublemaker sprung up to Kiara's side, hunching low, drawing out their claws and growling threateningly at the vulture in Kiara's defense.

"Protect the queen!" Moto ordered, standing "protectively" between the vulture and Kiara.

Kiara gave the three of them a doubtful look of their quick act of coming to her defence, before she turned back to Mzingo. "What are you doing here, Mzingo?" the acting queen asked in confusion.

"Oh, no. There's nothing to fear, cub. Ehh, I mean, Your Majesty." Mzingo corrected himself with the bow to Kiara. "I'm coming in peace. And speaking of which, I am simply here to bring you a peace offering on behalf of Janja."

Kiara, Moto, Konda and Mafu all blinked their eyes, all four of them taken aback by this, before Kiara let out a dry laugh.

"Janja wants peace?" Kiara asked, not believing it.

Konda and Mafu looked at Moto in confusion, wondering if this would change the plan. However, Moto, though equally surprised himself that someone like Janja, a sworn enemy of the Pride Lands, would want peace with the Pride Lands, wordlessly told them to play along, and leave it to him to see if the plan would change or if they needed to improvise.

"Oh, it's what he's always wanted." Mzingo said as he bounded towards Kiara, before he let out the sigh and began to pace back and forth. "Sadly, your brother and his Guard, well... Forgive me for saying so, my queen," he bowed apologetically to Kiara. "but your brother can be quite stubborn."

"Ugh, tell me about it." Kiara agreed with the eye-roll.

"Sad truth, indeed." Moto added, eyeing Mzingo. "Lately, he has been more of a nuisance than a benefit to Her Excellency."

"Yes, Mr. Moto." Mzingo agreed. "Like with the bees yesterday, so I happened to hear."

Kiara then turned back towards Mzingo. "But if Janja wants peace, why didn't he come here himself?" Kiara asked, suspiciously.

"Well, Janja's not exactly welcome in the Pride Lands." Mzingo reminded rhetorically. "He thought you might meet on neutral grounds. He's expecting you sunset tonight at Broken Rock." Mzingo said, gesturing his wing at the direction where the aforementioned rock was located. "You can discuss the terms of your new peace agreement."

"And what is in this for Queen Kiara, Mzingo?" Moto questioned in mock-suspicion.

"Well, Mr. Moto, Her Majesty could usher in a new day of peace for the Pride Lands. And it would end all of the trouble the Pride Lands has with the hyenas." Mzingo informed.

Kiara didn't look convinced, until Moto looked down at her.

"Your Majesty, if I may? I know this may sound like a risky move but this may actually increase Pridelanders' respect and admiration for you as the first Queen of the Pride Lands to make peace with the hyenas and ended a lot of problems for the Pride Lands, something Kion would never even agree to do and would stubbornly continue to wage war with them. Even King Simba would be very proud of you for such of achievement when he returns, which would actually make him to see what a fine Queen of the Pride Lands you will become one day." Moto reasoned with her.

However, in the back of his mind, Moto was only using this whole opportunity to drive a further wedge between Kion and Kiara, for he knew that Kiara had a lot of less experience about dealing with hyenas than what Kion did and he knew that Kion would never agree to the peace treaty with Janja, due to two of them being the sworn enemies, even if Kiara does.

All of this fit perfectly for his plan to disgrace Kion.

"You should listen to Mr. Moto, Your Majesty." Mzingo nodded in agreement. "He knows what he's talking about unlike Kion does."

Kiara looked down, conflicted. She doubted Janja's true motives, of course, but she also wanted to please her father and prove to him that she can be a fine queen in the future, which Moto doubled down on with his tempting words.

"I'll think about it." Kiara decided eventually.

Mzingo nodded, satisfied. "Excellent. That's all we ask. I'll let Janja know." he added, before he flew away.

Kiara then turned around and strided away into the royal den to think about this, leaving Moto, Konda and Mafu on the promontory. And once she was was out of the earshot, Konda and Mafu turned to Moto.

"So, does this change anything or not?" Konda asked.

"Nothing's changed." Moto responded. "This achievement shall be the first in the whole history of the Pride Lands, and thus to boost Kiara's confidence and sense of superiority, which will make Kion's life even more miserable, and perhaps, even ignite the spark of jealousy in our little prince Scar-junior that'll drive him to show his true colors." Moto bragged.

Moto then looked out to the savanna, and smirked with satisfaction upon noticing Kion and the Lion Guard striding towards the Pride Rock.

Oh, yeah. It's show time." the mean lion chuckled.

Returning from the morning patrol, Kion, Bongo, Bunga, Fuli, Beshte and Ono, who was sitting on Beshte's back, looked up upon noticing Mzingo flying away from the Pride Rock, which caused the Guard, especially Kion, to raise their brows in confusion of Mzingo's sudden and unexpected visit.

"Huh? What was Mzingo doing at the Pride Rock?" Kion asked the everybody else's mind.

"And what he did spoke about with Queen Kiara and Moto?" Ono added suspiciously, having noticed Kiara and Moto on top of the Pride Rock's promontory at the same time Mzingo left.

"Something's not right. I can smell it." Bongo said.

Deciding to find that out, Kion turned to his teammates. "Lion Guard. Take some rest in the Lair. I'll go to Kiara to find out what was that all about."

"Oh! Remember to tell Queen Kiara that the Bravest in the Pride Lands said "Hi"!" Bunga requested as he and the rest of the Lion Guard made their way to the Lair.

Kion rolled his eyes at Bunga still calling Kiara the "Queen Kiara" as he climbed up to the Pride Rock and entered into the royal den, where he foind his sister sitting on the throne in her thoughts, with Moto and his friends standing next to the throne.

"Hello... Kiara." Kion said curtly and not addressing her with her title as the acting queen, for he was still upset with her from the yesterday.

"It's Queen Kiara to you, little prince!" Moto reminded him strictly.

Kion scowled at the trio of troublemakers, before he turned to face Kiara. "Why was Mzingo in here, Kiara? What did he want?"

"And that's none of your business but the queen's!" Moto added harshly, with Konda and Mafu nodding their heads in agreement.

"Moto, please. I'll handle this." Kiara told him authoritatively.

"Yes, my queen." Moto said with the bow and stood down willingly, though a little too willingly for Kion's liking, and the golden prince was immediately suspicious of his sincerity. But as Kiara turned to face Kion, Moto smirked from the corner of his lip, barely able to hold himself together while waiting impatiently to see where this confrontation would go.

"Mzingo was just delivering me a message," Kiara began to explain. "That Janja is offering a peace proposal and wants to meet with me sunset tonight at Broken Rock."

Kion's face dropped down in shock, unable to believe what he was hearing. "What? Janja? Peace proposal?" Kion questioned before he emphatically stormed up to the throne to confront his sister face-to-face. "Kiara, you can't be serious! You have to know that this is a set up! A trap."

Kiara, however, rolled her eyes at Kion. "Of course, you would think that." she scoffed before turning away from Kion.

"Kiara!" Kion groaned as he moved to stand right in front of his older sister. "I'm serious! You can't trust Mzingo... or Janja."

"Well, does Her Majesty have any reason to trust in your councel, Kion? Because you haven't given her any reason to lately." Moto sneered, adding more fuel into the fire.

"SHUT UP!" Kion growled harshly at Moto before turning back to his sister. "Kiara, I'm strongly advicing you against this."

"You just can't stand the thought that I might be right again." Kiara pointed out. "Just like with the bees."

"But this is completely different." Kion rebuked. "You don't know Janja like I do. I've had to run him out of the Pride Lands so many times, with the couple of close calls."

"Maybe that's why he came to me." Kiara shot back haughtily.

"And why? Because he knows he can't sway me over with his lies." Kion explained. "And the only reason he came to you is to use you as a leverage against dad! And Moto encouraging you into embarking this foolishness is helping Janja in it!"

"You do not know that. And you want to know why? Because you never even bothered to try to make the peace with him unlike I will." Kiara rebuked as she turned her back on Kion, smiling to herself. "For I'm the queen and he knows that."

"Kiara!" Kion said firmly, having had enough of Kiara's arrogance. "You're not really queen!"

Moto, Konda and Mafu let out a mock-shocked and rather a dramatic gasps after what Kion said. "How dare you to speak to your queen like that, you insolent brat!" Moto growled.

"She's not my queen! She's my sister, and at the moment a real thorn in my side!" Kion rebuked, before turning back to Kiara. "And I speak her the way I like, because's she's not the queen yet!"

Not taking kindly of Kion's insolence, Kiara rounded up to him, her eyes narrowed as she stood tall and authoritative to her little brother. "I am the queen." she corrected sharply. "And I'll do what I think is best for the Pride Lands. You'd know this burden if you were the king, Kion, which you are not, and likely will never be with that attitude!"

Kion sighed heavily, unable to take this anymore. "Fine. If you're so serious about this, and won't listen to me over Moto, then you're on your own, because I am done! Through with you!" Kion spat angrily.

Kiara was taken aback about what Kion said, before she watched Kion bounding out of the den.

However, Kiara quickly narrowed her eyes into glare. "Argh, brothers." she groaned in frustration as she lifted her chin high.

Moto watched with the silent glee as Kion left the den, all satisfied that Kion showed the signs that he would care a less if Kiara would end up getting into trouble with the hyenas because of her arrogance, thus proving his point that Kion's no different from Scar but a reincarnation of him.

"Don't mind of him, Your Majesty." Moto told to Kiara with the proud smirk of hin muzzle... for himself. "You're always right and he's wrong."

"Yes." Kiara said, before letting out a sigh. "Well, I guess it's best for me to get ready for the upcoming peace proposal tonight."

Konda then stepped forward to spoke. "So, you're actually going to meet Janja at the Broken Rock, Your Highness?" he questioned.

"Yes." Kiara confirmed confidently. "And since I cannot rely on Kion or the Lion Guard to escort me there and back... I have no choice but to appoint you three for the job." Kiara said, before he stood tall and authoritatively to the three lions. "Moto, Konda and Mafu, you shall be my royal escorts and bodyguards while we go to meet Janja at the Broken Rock."

Moto, Konda, and Mafu's eyes went wide, greatly surprised, shocked and taken aback by such a promotion. Their reactions to this, however, were far from being elated and feeling honored for such of opportunity, but rather greatly hesitant and even outright nervous.

None of them had ever been outside the Pride Lands' borders before, let alone directly encountered a living hyena face-to-face before. All they knew about was, with Moto's lead, ridiculing and belittling the other animals who are smaller and weaker than them, but nothing about actually fighting those who can actually fight back and go even as far as to kill you!

Moto gulped anxiously, sweating furiously, for this was never part of his plan of disgracing Kion, that Kiara would actually appoint him and his friends instead of Kion and the Lion Guard as her royal escorts and bodyguards to confront Janja, whom he suspected wouldn't never honor his side of the deal. He at least gave Kion a credit for that.

However, he was left with the little choice but to accompany Kiara to the Broken Rock to meet Janja.

###

"I can't believe it. What is she thinking? She's only gonna get herself killed out there." Kion muttered angrily as he left the Pride Rock and walked sulkingly through a field.

As if the powers beyond had heard him out, the mass of the gathered clouds above him then split apart, letting out the heavenly light just before the spiritual head of Mufasa manifested to his grandson.

"Kion!" the once great king's voice boomed as he called out to his grandson, getting the prince's attention. "Something is troubling you."

Kion sighed and sat on the grass. "It's Kiara, Grandfather." he admitted. "She doesn't know what she's getting herself into by accepting Janja's proposal. And Moto's making things even worse."

"Kion. Kiara is your sister and for now, she is your queen." Mufasa reminded. "And as your queen and sister, she needs your support."

"Even if she's wrong?" Kion questioned.

"Especially, if she's wrong." Mufasa answered.

Kion frowned and looked away briefly. "But she won't listen to me." he said as he looked back up to his grandfather.

"She will, Kion. She will. As long as you give her a reason to listen to you in return." Mufasa assured. "And as for Moto, do not let his harsh words get to you just because he has so little faith in himself, even more than he has in you."

Kion pondered his grandfather's advice for a moment, and realized that he was right. If he'd listened Kiara about the elands and the bees yesterday, Kiara would've listened to his councel over Moto's encouragement. And that he really shouldn't listen to Moto just because he lacks the faith in himself more than what he has a faith in him.

Nodding his head, Kion looked up to Mufasa with the smile. "Thank you, grandfather."

Mufasa nodded his head to his grandson before he disappeared in the clouds.

"I shouldn't have walked out on her like that." Kion said, feeling remorseful for the whole silly family squabble between of them. "I better talk to Kiara." he decided and made his way back to the Pride Rock.

"Kiara?" Kion called as he entered the royal den, only to find Kiara gone and Tiifu and Zuri lounging lazily on some rocks beneath the throne.

"Well, well, well, look who showed up." Zuri snarked.

"If you're looking for Kiara, hate to break it to you, but she already left." Tiifu informed.

"What?" Kion gasped in shock as she approached the lionesses. "Kiara's already gone?! When?!"

"No sooner after you left." Tiifu told him.

Zuri stretched her limbs and yawned. "She said she had some important meeting to go to...somewhere."

"And you let her go alone?" Kion asked.

"Not alone, though. She took Moto, Konda and Mafu with her as the royal escort since she couldn't rely on you or the Guard." Zuri said, waving her paw

"And besides, she's the queen." Tiifu defended. "We didn't let her do anything, she just did it. And as queen, it's her right to do whatever she wants."

Kion groaned in annoyance with these two lionesses for doing nothing to stop Kiara from going. "Ugh! Some advisers you two are."he said scornfully. "I need to get the Guard, now."

Kion then left the royal denewhile Tiifu and Zuri looked at each other in confusion.

"What's wrong with him?" Tiifu asked.

"Who cares?" Zuri scoffed, "He's not a queen."

At the Lion Guard Lair, the rest of the Guard were lounging on their spots until Kion arrived to fetch them.

"Lion Guard!" the Fiercest called out to the rest of the team, making the Guard to turn to him.

"What's wrong, Kion? Bongo called from the rock he was resting on.

"Kiara's in trouble! We need to get to the Broken Rock, now!" the prince alerted.

"The Broken Rock? But that's in the neutral parts between the Pride Lands and the Outlands." Ono realized.

"Why would Kiara want to go in there?" Fuli wondered.

"I'll explain on the way! We gotta go now! On the double!" Kion ordered as he ran out of the Lair.

Bongo was the first one to get up on his feet and leapt off his rock, running after Kion. "Lion Guard! Follow the leader!" the wild dog pup ordered.

The rest of the team followed them out of the Lair.

"Till the Pride Lands' end... LION GUARD DEFEND!" they yelled in unision as they ran towards the Outlands.

Back at Kilio Valley, the elephants have all gathered around of Aminifu's body, with Queen Nala in the audience as Ma Tembo, as a new leader of the elephants, stood in front of them, with King Simba and Zazu standing by her side.

"And now, His Majesty, the king will say a few words about my father." Ma Tembo announced.

All of the elephants murmured in surprise to see the king there. "The king?" "Simba?" (Gasps!) "Son of Mufasa." "Your Majesty."

Simba gulped in nervousness, even if Nala nodded her head as in encouragement, before the king glanced at Zazu.

"You got this, Sire." Zazu reassured.

Simba took a deep breath and grew confident. "I knew Aminifu a long time. And now that he has completed his journey though the Circle of Life, I will remember him fondly." the king announced.

The elephants trumpeted, mournfully, as Nala lowered her head in sadness.

"Because, as you elephants say," Simba said as Ma Tembo held her head up expectably. "Ehie kaka pano tou"." the king pronounced.

However, this made Zazu, Ma Tembo and all the elephants to gasp in shock all of the sudden and the herd murmured amongst themselves, with Nala looking around nervously.

Simba saw this and was confused. "Did I say "he had good on him"?" he asked, glancing at Zazu.

"I'm not sure, sire." Zazu admitted. "But I think you just said, "he had..." he put a wing to his beak and lowered his voice into whisper. "poop on him"." Zazu cleared his throat to stop himself from laughing.

"I SAID WHAT?!" Simba said in shock and looked worriedly at Ma Tembo who gave Simba a stern look, as if she was greatly offended by such of words for her late father.

However, after the moment of the awkward silence, Ma Tembo, much to Simba's, Nala's and even Zazu's confusion, began to chuckle, which she could hardly suppress, before she burst into a amused laughter.

All the other elephants then started laughing.

"It's true. Wisest as my father was, he didn't always realize he had lot of birds standing on him, and so, he always did have poop on him." Ma Tembo laughed in agreement. "And it always made us laugh. He always made us laugh. It's nice to remember the good times."

"Uh, Ma Tembo? That wasn't exactly what I meant to say." the king said apologetically, feeling still quite embarrassed for failing to pronounce his tribute in Elepanthese to Aminifu's memory the way he was supposed to.

"I know, Your Majesty." Ma Tembo assured him. "But we're still all glad that you remember my father fondly, either in a traditional or just a humorous way. And for that, thank you, Your Highness." she said gratefully, hugging Simba with her trunks.

Both Nala and Zazu both smiled happily/proudly at Simba.

"Well, he had good on him too." Simsa said with the smile.

"He did. He truly had good on him." Ma Tembo agreed. "But more poop." she joked.

Everyone shared a laughter at this, even Simba couldn't help with himself and joined the laughter.

Meanwhile, Kiara, Moto, Konda and Mafu had arrived at Broken Rock, a huge boulder cracked in twoin middle of the rocky terrain, where they were going to meet Janja.

Kiara looked around for Janja while trying to keep her composure, while Moto, Konda and Mafu looked around in extreme nervous, flinching at any sound, like the eerie whistle of the wind, the suspicious fall of the pebbles, the uncomfortable sound of the bird in the distance.

"Why did we even had to come in here?" Mafu whimbered fearfully.

Konda leaned his head towards Moto, looking worriedly around for any sign of danger. "Moto? Maybe we should've reconsider this." he whispered to him worriedly. "This wasn't part of the plan, wasn't it? Right?"

"Quiet, your fools!" Moto hissed to them. "Queen Kiara will handle this. I hope." Moto gulped, incredibly uncertain himself too despite him doing his best to keep on his tough-guy and brave facade on his face to hide his obvious fear.

"Hello! Hello!" Kiara called out. "Is anyone there?"

It was completely quiet, and not the slightest sound or sign to tell them of Janja's presence.

"Maybe... he isn't here, Your Highness." Mafu theorized. "Maybe he didn't come here at all. So can we just go now?" the overweight lion suggested hopefully.

"That would be the wisest course of action right now, Your Majesty." Moto agreed with the nervous chuckle.

"Steady now." Kiara told them with lightly shaken voice. "This may be a risky move just as you said, Moto. But this is our only chance to make a peace between Janja and the Pride Lands if we can just reach an agreement with him."

"Well, I beg your pardon, Your Majesty, but I'm starting to have a doubts that this was a good idea after all." Moto said, trembling.

Kiara glared at him over her shoulder. "But you were the one who encouraged me to do this, remember?" she sternly reminded.

"Well... I..." Moto gulped nervously, conflicted of whether he should tell Kiara that he never meant anything of this and that he was only using her temporary queenship to get under Kion's skin to prove his point that he's no different from Scar, or not to and save his own skin from the acting queen's wrath for using her for his own benefit.

But before he could say nother word, another voice cut in, making all four of them turn to the Broken Rock, where they saw the aforementioned hyena leader watching them through the gap.

"Queen Kiara. Welcome." Janja said as he came out from behind a rock and approached Kiara's company calmly, all the while addressing Kiara with the apparent respect. "So happy you considered my proposal. And you brought along a company too." he noted, glancing over Kiara's head at Moto, Konda and Mafu, who upon the presence of the hyena leader backed hastily away from him - and Kiara - widened eyes fixed on Janja.

"They're here as my royal escort and my brave bodyguards." Kiara announced, hiding her nervousness and holding her head high authoritatively.

At the word of "brave", Janja chuckled and gave a raised eyebrow look at the three troublemakers, seeing them cowering and trembling uncontrollably in fear in his presence.

"Yeah, right." Janja scoffed. "Such of shame, really. For I had hoped we could have discussed our deal, leader to leader. Just the two of us." Janja said with the sly smirk.

"We can still do that." Kiara shot back. "You summoned me here to discuss about peace between our lands. Well, here I am. What are your terms for the peace?" Kiara questioned, getting down to business.

"Oh, there will be peace between of us, Your Highness." Janja said deviously, before he looked behind him over the shoulder.

Kiara, Moto and his friends looked where Janja was looking, and saw several pair of eyes appearing in the shadows. Soon, Janja was backed up by the three members of his clan, Tano, Sita and Saba.

"Only with my terms." Janja said with the evil smile, revealing that he had no interest of hearing out or to agree on Kiara's terms, just his own.

Kiara gasped in shock at this reveal, losing all the confidence and the sense of authority in the situation, and began to slowly back away from the snickering hyenas.

"Uhh, you know what? I think I just might reconsider your proposal some more." she nervously excused herself and turned away to leave.

However, she, Moto, Konda and Mafu gasped in horror when Nne, Cheezi and Chungu appeared from behind the corner, blocking their only way out of here.

"Going so soon? But you're gonna be our guest." Janja smirked. "And the leverage to the peace."

"Leverage?" Kiara repeated in shock, recalling Kion having mentioned about that earlier. She turned to Janja, glaring at him with realization for the hyena's true motives. "Kion was right! You only wanted to use me against my dad, didn't you?"

"Soon as Simba hears I have his daughter, he'll have no choice but to turn over the Pride Lands to me." Janja confirmed, before he sadistically licked his chops, much to Kiara's shock. "Or else we'll have the three lions and the princess for lunch."

Moto, Konda and Mafu gasped fearfully at this.

"Or should we say "Trio of appetizers and queenly entree"?" Nne remarked.

Cheezi burst in the fit of crazy laughter at Nne's joke, while Chungu chuckled sinisterly, as saliva drooled out of his mouth.

The hyenas chackled as they surrounded Kiara and her "bodyguards", growling at them as they advanced towards them from all sides, forcing the four lions to go back to back with each other.

"My bodyguards! Protect me! Take me safely back to the Pride Rock! So says your queen!" Kiara told to Moto and his friends, expecting them to protect her from the hyenas till they get back to the Pride Lands.

However, Moto, Konda and Mafu didn't respond to her.

"My bodyguards? Moto? Konda? Mafu? Did you hear me?!" Kiara called them, confused of why they hadn't responded to her. "I order you to protect your queen!" she repeated, rather desperately as the hyenas were getting too close for comfort.

Moto, Konda and Mafu had all petrified still from utter fear as they stared at the hyenas growling at them hungrily. All three of them were just on the brink of losing their nerves.

Nne was facing Moto, with the hyena smelling the teen lion's increasing fear and savored it by smacking his lips to intimidate him some more, causing the bully's forehead get drenched with sweat and his against his chest pressed fore limbs to tremble furiously.

All it needed to set Moto into the blind panic was just a one small push over the edge.

Nne then, with the sudden move, leaned his head forward and snapped his sharp teeth at Moto's face to take a bite out of him.

SNAPS!

"AAAAHHHHHHHH!" Moto screamed at the top of his lungs as he finally lost his nerve and flew into the blind panic. "LET ME OUT OF HERE!" he screamed as he pushed his way through Chungu and Cheezi, running away from the Broken Rock tail between the legs.

Konda and Mafu, after snapping out of it by Moto's frightened scream, noticed their friend fleeing and immediately went to follow him, whimpering as they flew for their lives.

But at the same time, the trio of troublemakers abandoned Kiara behind!

The acting queen stared in pure shock at Moto's cowardly fleeing, with Konda and Mafu following close behind him.

"Hey! Moto! Konda! Mafu! Where are you going?!" Kiara called after them. "Come back! I order you as your queen!"

"SORRY, KIARA! " Moto called back to her without even looking back as he ran up the nearby slope. "EVERY LION FOR HIMSELF!"

"Moto! Moto, wait of us!" Konda called after their friend.

"Don't leave us to be eaten by hyenas!" Mafu cried from the rear end of the fleeing trio, due to him being the slowest runner of the three due to his overweight state.

Soon the three troublemakers vanished from sight into the , leaving Janja and the hyenas to cackle at their cowardice.

"Janja! They're getting away!" Chungu informed his leader.

"Let them go, furbrain." Janja said dismissively, before turning to Kiara. "For she's all I need."

Kiara looked at Janja fearfully, realizing that she had brought this upon herself simply because she didn't bother to listen to Kion, and that she had been too blind to see that Moto had persuaded her into doing this only to use her against Kion for his own selfish gain.

"Oh, Kion." she whispered softly yet desperately to herself. "I really need you here right now."

###

Nearby, Kion and the Lion Guard were closing in the neutral territories betwee nthe Pride Lands and the Pride Lands, with Kion explaining the situation to the others.

"Peace proposal from Janja?" Bongo repeated as he ran by Kion's side, before letting out the scoff in disbelief. "Yeah, right! As true as the crocodile tears."

"And Kiara accepted it?" Fuli questioned with the raised eyebrow as she ran by Kion's other side, which the prince confirmed with the remorseful nod. "Hmph! Foolish if you ask me."

"And he went down there with Moto, Konda and Mafu as his royal escort and bodyguards instead of us?!" Bunga questioned aloud in shock, though a bit too dramatically again. "Doesn't Her Majesty haver any faith in us that she ended up choosing those three losers, who haven't even seen the fight in their lives."

"No, Bunga. It was mostly because she didn't have faith in me and I foolishly refused to go with her." Kion said, hanging his head down regretfully. "If only I had listened to..." Kion lamented, until he was cut off by the sudden scream coming from ahead of them.

"AAAAHHHHHHHH!" "AAAAHHHHHHHH!" "AAAAHHHHHHHH!"

The Guard halted in their tracks, taken by surprise by those unexpected, frightened, high-pitched and rather girlish screams coming from the Outlands.

"What was that?" the Strongest wondered.

Bongo was the first one to recognize those screams and that to whom they belonged to. "Those sounded like Moto, Konda and Mafu." the Slyest noted to his teammates.

"Really, Medium B? Was it really them, or was it just Her Majesty screaming at the top of her lungs three times?" Bunga wondered, making Fuli to roll her eyes at Bunga's idiocy.

"No. Bongo is right. It's them alright." Ono noted, hovering above the Guard as he scanned the area ahead, seeing the three troublemakers running as fast as they could as if running for their dear lives. "I see them coming right towards us, and in a quite hurry, as if something's scared them out of their wits."

"Is Kiara with them?" Kion asked from the egret.

"I don't see her." Ono reported.

It didn't take long for Moto, Konda, and Mafu to reach the Lion Guard, but as if they didn't even notice them being there or didn't even bother to acknowledge their presence, the trio of troublemakers ran past them, whimpering "Hyenas' coming! Hyenas' coming! Hyenas' coming! Run for your lives! Every lion for itself! Wait for me! Wait for me!" as they headed back to the Pride Rock.

"Hey! Moto! Where's Kiara?! Where's my sister?! Where's the queen!" Kion called after the trio.

However, Moto or his friends didn't respond to him but kept running deeper to the Pride Lands, making Kion groan before he looked up to Ono.

"Ono! Scout ahead!" Kion ordered.

Ono saluted and flew ahead to scout through the neutral territories, using his keen vision to scan the area below. He soon found the Broken Rock and Kiara there... surrounded by Janja's clan.

"Hapana!" Ono gasped and flew back to the Guard. "Kiara's at Broken Rock, and she's surrounded by hyenas!" he reported.

"Moto, Konda and Mafu just LEFT HER THERE TO FEND FOR HERSELF?!" Kion growled with intense fury and disgust at Moto and his friends, though he just barely managed to regain his composure right afterwards. "We'll deal with them later. We need to hurry! Follow me!"

Running as fast as they could, the Guard made the beeline towards the Broken Rock.

###

The hyenas circled menacingly around Kiara, snarling, as Kiara braced herself for the fight. She turned to Nne as the vile hyena prepared to attack. Nne then lunged at her, but Kiara dodged him before whacking the hyena across the face, knocking the hyena away. Cheezi then approached Kiara and lunged at her, only for Kiara to dodge again by jumping over the crazy hyena and then landed behind him, before she kicked the hyena in the rear end with both feet, sending Cheezy face-first into the rock, afterwards he slumped to the ground, whining in pain.

"Nice moves." Janja snickered, appearing out of nowhere to Kiara's right. Frightened, Kiara tried to flee from the evil hyena, but Janja pounced on her and pinned her down to the ground before she could get far. "Too bad you're out here all on your own."

"No." Kiara whimpered in fear, trying in vain to get free from Janja's hold.

"GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER!" Kion yelled, catching Janja's attention, before the golden prince batted Janja off Kiara.

"TWENDE SASA!" Bongo barked, pouncing on the nearest hyena's, Tano's back, pinning the hyena on his stomach to the ground, before he leaped towards Chungu and Sita, turning around and kicking them both in the face with his hind legs, sending them away.

"Get away from the queen, fleabags!" Bongo demanded with the fierce growl.

"Kion! Bongo!" Kiara gasped, both relieved and overjoyed to see her brother here. "You came for me?!"

"Of course." Kion said as he turned to his sister with the smile. "I came because you're the queen, but also my sister. Nothing changes that." he assured, making Kiara smile.

"Are you alright, Your Majesty?" Bongo asked as he turned to Kiara.

"I am now. Thanks." Kiara said.

"Aw, ain't this a touching family reunion?" Janja cackled, making the lion cubs and the wild dog pup turn back to the clan.

Cheezi, who appeared to be noticing something off, let out a confused whimpering sounds as he turned to Nne, as if sharing his thoughts.

"Yeah. Wait a minute! We'ren't these two supposed to be fighting?" Nne reminded, narrowing his eyes in confusion upon seeing that Kion and Kiara were no longer fighting.

The two royal sibling and the wild dog pup shared the confident smiles with each other.

"Oh, we can fight alright." Kion agreed with the hyena.

"Way more better than you ever can." Bongo agreed.

"You think you can take us three on?" Kiara challenged with the smirk.

The hyenas laughed at this and surrounded the three again.

"Seven on three?" Janja questioned with the eyeroll, unphased. "I'll take those odds."

"Then let's even the odds, Janja!" Bongo remarked, before he looked over one shoulder at the top of the nearby slope. "TWENDE SASA!"

"TWENDE KIBOKO!" Beshte responded.

"HUWEZI!" Fuli responded.

"ZUKA-ZAMA!" Bunga responded.

Ono swooped down as the rest of the Lion Guard charged down the slope to join Kion, Kiara and Bongo. The royal lions and the wild dog pup smiled at their friends while the hyenas retreated to Janja's side, while their leader watched in concern.

"Till the Pride Lands end..." Kion began, before giving Kiara a side-ways look and nodded her to go on.

"Lion Guard defend!" Kiara finished.

"And by the Great Kings of the Past!" Bongo began as he and the rest of the Guard revealed their Marks, which glowed even brighter of their respective colors than ever before, empowering each member with power beyond of their natural limits. "Fly, you Outlander trash!"

"Seven on seven." Janja corrected as he advanced forward, seemingly unphased by the evened odds, until his ears pinned down and he let out the scared whimper "Forget that!" Janja said as he turned tai land fled.

"Hey! Janja! Where you're going?!" Nne called after him, baffled by his leader's sudden retreat.

"Wait for us!" Chungu called after him as Cheezi whimpered fearfully.

"Retreat!" Nne called as he, Cheezi, Chungu and the rest of the clan retreated into the Outlands.

With the hyenas gone, Kiara sighed before turning to the Lion Guard. "Thanks, guys."

Kiara then locked her remorse-filled eyes with her brother. "And Kion, you were right about never trusting Janja. He turned out to be nothing but a lying scoundrel."

Hearing that, Janja paused while bounding up a rocky slope. "Hey! I can hear you!" he called down to them, offended.

"And I definitely should've listened to you over Moto." she added even more remorseful. "Can you ever forgive me?"

"Well..." Kion said, looking remorsefully down to his paws. "This wouldn't have ever happened if I had listened to you about the bees yesterday."

"Oh, sure!" Ono muttered under his breath, "Now he admits it." he rolled his eyes, though his comment earned him a light glare from the prince.

"So... I'll forgive you about not listening to me... if you can forgive me about not listening to you about the bees." Kion told his sister.

Kiara smiled warmly at her brother that she literally threw herself into him, wrapping her paws around him into a loving hug, catching Kion momentarily by surprise, before the prince return to the hug in kind.

"Of course, I'll forgive you." Kiara said, before she gave a kiss/lick across Kion's left cheek in gratitude, much to his disgust.

"Ewwww!" Kion groaned, grossed out as he pulled out of Kiara's hug and wiped his cheek with his paw.

The rest of the Lion Guard shared a laughter at this.

"I think that Kion knows now how you feel whenever Tamu's smooching you. Eh, Bongo?" Fuli joked, earning a glare from annoyed Bongo.

"Don't even go there, Fuli." he warned, though Fuli chuckled at her own joke nevertheless.

"Alright, guys. We're done here. Let's go back to the Pride Rock." Kion said to Kiara and his friends.

"Yes, because there's certain someone who needs to be punished." Kiara agreed, forming an angry scowl on her face.

###

Later, back at Pride Rock, the Lion Guard and Kiara stood in front of one of the empty and uninhabited dens where they rather forcibly dragged Moto and his two friends - Kion and Bongo were dragging Moto by his tail, Bunga and Fuli from Konda's tail and Beshte from Mafu's tail - before they threw all three of them into the den like the yesterday's trash, starting with Moto who, of course, ended up getting landed on by his friends.

"You can't do this to us!" Moto complained, pushing himself up and knocking his friends off him. "You can't do this to me!"

"We're doing what you exactly deserve, Moto." Kion told to him.

"And by decree of the queen herself!" Bongo announced as he stood by Kion's side, along with Kiara and Bunga. "You and your friends are to be locked in this den as punishment until the queen decides the otherwise."

"And it looks like Her Majesty isn't in the mood of "thinking otherwise" in your case so soon, losers." Bunga taunted the three bullies with the smirk.

"I haven't done anything to deserve this!" Moto protested firmly.

"Uhh, what about us then?" Mafu questioned.

"We haven't done anything either, honestly!" Konda protested as well.

"Quiet, you fool!" Moto said harshly, silencing his friends, making them to cower submissively.

"You haven't done anything?" Kiara questioned rhetorically and angrily. "You encouraged me to accept Janja's proposal in the first place, and you left me back there at the hyenas mercy!"

"Well... I honestly didn't even believe you'd actually buy that filthy hyena's whole so-called peace proposal thing, let alone that you would choose me as your bodyguard when you go there." Moto told her, feigning innocence, though it only made him feel awkward. "So it's no really my fault we ran into a trap."

"And why didn't you believe it? And why do you think I foolishly chose you as my bodyguard?" Kiara rebuked. "Because you only thought you could use my role as queen as your benefit to deliberately make things even worse between me and Kion than they already were!"

"So that you could prove to everybody your "point" of Kion being just an reincarnation of Scar!" Bongo added with scorn.

"And this is what you brought upon yourself and your friends for using my sister against me, Moto." Kion growled.

Moto scoffed contemptuously. "Hadn't your sister been so gullible, then perhaps my plan would've worked!" he spat, indicating that he didn't care if he used Kiara against Kion to prove his point of Kion being like another Scar, before before he boldy or rather insolently walked towards them. "Now let me out of here!"

"Not a chance! The queen's decree stands! You are to stay here until said otherwise!" Kion said.

"I don't take orders from you, Scar-junior!" Moto spat at Kion's face and was about to push his way through of them. "And I will not rot in here because of that!"

"I don't care!" Kion spat at the former. "And yes you will." the Fiercest added at the latter, before he, Bongo, Bunga and Kiara backed off the entrance. "Beshte, lock them up!"

"Twende Kiboko!" Beshte grunted as he, with his Mark flashing bright, pushed a large boulder in front of the den, just enough to leave a gap in there for the air to go in, but too narrow for Moto or his friends to fit through of it, trapping them inside.

"Come help me with this boulder, you fools" Moto angrily demanded as he, along with Konda and Mafu tried to push the boulder off the doorway to get out, but it was too heavy even for all of them together.

Moto let out a furious growls as he peeked through the gap at the Lion Guard. "Just you wait until my mom hears about this! She would never appreciate you keeping me imprisoned here for no reason!" he threatened hypocritically.

"Actually, Moto..." Bongo spoke up. "Your mom really knows about this already."

Moto blinked his eyes in surprise. "What?"

"We told your mother what you've been doing and what you did. And after some convincing, she let us punish you the way we'd like, just as long as it ain't physical punishment. And so, we picked the house arrest, and she agreed to it." Bongo revealed, causing Moto to gasp in utter shock.

Being done, Kiara and the Lion Guard turned to leave, leaving Moto and his friends to suffer their well-deserved punishment.

"I hope you find the den quite cozy in there, Moto! See ya later!" Bunga tauntingly wished, waving his paw at the trapped lion.

"And hopefully a long time later." Fuli added, blowing a raspberry at Moto as the Fastest followed the others.

"Come back here, your ruffians! You meanies! You villains! Let me out of here! You're doing this just out of being mean!" Moto called in vain after them, but the Guard and Kiara ignored him as they continued on. "AAAAAAARGH! SCAR-JUNIOR! I WILL GET BACK AT YOU FOR THIS! ALL OF YOU! I SWEAR IT!"

Kion stopped upon hearing this and frowned in annoyance, until Kiara walked up to him and gently nudged him to make him keep going.

"Ignore him, Kion. He won't bother you anymore for a long time." she told her sister reassuringly.

Kion smiled at his sister before he kept going along with his friends and his sister.

###

Two days later, Kion and Kiara ran out of the royal den to greet their parents and Zazu as they finally returned home.

"Mom! Dad!" Kiara greeted them happily.

"Welcome home!" Kion added, standing next to his sister.

"So, how did your tribute go, dad?" Kiara asked their father.

Simba chuckled nervously, still feeling a bit embarrassed for it. "It went... it went..." the king said, but was unable to finish. That was until Nala stepped in to get her husband out of the awkward situation he had got himself into... again.

"Everything turned out fine." Nala informed, smiling assuredly at her husband, before she turned to look down at her two cubs. "So, how did ruling the Pride Lands go?"

"Ruling the Pride Lands?" Kiara smiled, tapping her tail. "It went... ehh... it was... uh..."

"Any trouble?" Simba asked, raising a brow.

"Well, uh..." Kiara stuttered, looking away from her parents with her ears on her side while thinking how to explain it.

"Yeah, a little trouble with the certain lion called Moto." Kion cut in. "But besides that, it wasn't anything Kiara couldn't handle." Kion then turned to Kiara, smiling. "I'm sure she's gonna be a great queen, someday."

Kiara sighed heavily, relieved but also grateful. "Thanks, Kion." she returned her brother's smile in kind.

"I never had any doubts." Simba said, proudly.

THE END
