Chapter 52
Mordekaiser
Mitna Rachnun
"Tell me, why should I bother helping Runeterra in defeating the Ruination?" Said Mordekaiser as he looked at the assembled demons and Morgana as he sat upon his throne, his warriors and soldiers guarding them to ensure they don't do anything stupid. "Why should I help the mortals of Runeterra in stopping something that I can benefit from by allowing it to continue?" Hearing the question, Moxxie clenched his fists at his dad before speaking.
"Because its wrong, dad." Said Moxxie as he stepped forward to stare his father in the eye. "You said long ago that you wanted to give everyone under your rule a fair shot at becoming something more, to get out of whatever slump or bad hand they got when they were born. That you wanted to give everyone everywhere this shot. Well, the Ruination is going to make things worse for all those people in Runeterra. Even taking away their ability to become something better. And your just letting it happen because you get what? An easier time to conquer Runeterra? Is that it, dad?"
"Yes." Said Mordekaiser simply as he looked at Moxxie, seeing no point in lying to him. He then conjured up some portals around him which showed various cities and villages around Runeterra being attacked by the Undead of the Shadow Isles. "This Ruination has provided a most unique opportunity to me with how widespread it is compared to the previous ones. The people of Runeterra are quite stubborn in their belief that the undead are abominations that must be purged from existence. They will not willingly bow to my rule the moment they learn of my status as an undead. They have more spine than the humans of Earth, who bow down to whomever they believe will suit their needs or just plain like more, regardless of their origins. If I reveal myself to the people of Runeterra when I begin my conquest, they will attack and refuse to yield to me, regardless if I desire to be diplomatic to them."
"So, you intend to just let them all die and have them accept you that way or something?" Asked Blitzo in confusion at what Mordekaiser just said. He wanted to say just how stupid that logic was, but feared the consequences of doing that with this man. This soon proved justified when he heard Mordekaiser laugh.
"In a way I suppose." Said Mordekaiser before showing everyone a portal that showed the undead of the Ruination destroying a city on Runeterra. Although it was clearly a city from Runeterra, given the subject they were all discussing, it was a city that looked radically different from any city or village that Moxxie and Morgana had ever seen in Runeterra. Granted, they didn't see much given their limited exploration or isolation of Runeterra, but still it was clearly a Runeterra city given it looked nothing like a city from Earth. At least in Moxxie's eyes.
The city that was shown to everyone was some sort of steampunk city that looked more advanced than a Noxian or Demacian city, but primitive compared to Earth cities. Yet it still held some resemblance to some Earth cities that Moxxie visited while working for I.M.P. what with its tall buildings and industrialization like look.
Raking his brain for an answer on what this city was supposed to be, Moxxie soon got his answer when Mordekaiser spoke up.
"Tell me Moxxie, do you remember what this city is supposed to be? It was covered during your lessons while you were a child." Asked Mordekaiser as he looked at his son, who looked back at his father. He tried his best to remember a city that looked like what his father was showing him, but he couldn't remember. Eventually, he just shook his head in a bit of shame, causing Mordekaiser to grunt.
"It seems we need to reteach you regarding Runeterra history and lore." Said Mordekaiser before explaining what this city was. "The city that I'm showing you right now is known as Piltover. The city of progress, renowned for its innovation and technological prowess. Home to some of the greatest scientific minds in Runeterra and also home to a strategic location for Noxus. So much so that an old enemy of mine infiltrated it and tried to manipulate events for her own benefit." Mordekaiser then showed a few things that happened in Piltover that made no sense to those that had no knowledge of what happened in Piltover.
"Needless to say, it failed and Piltover was safe from the influences of Noxus. At least for a time." Said Mordekaiser before showing a symbol featuring cogs behind some hexagonal shaped windows. "But just because they dealt with one group that seeks to use Piltover for their own ends, does not mean that others do not seek the same thing as well." He then showed an image of some of Mordekaiser's men conversing with some humans. Living humans. "Especially when one provides a mutually beneficial relationship for both sides. Unlike the one your leader has with his lover."
"He's not my fucking lover!" Yelled Blitzo in frustration. Scared of Mordekaiser he may be, he still has enough wit to get angry about being called Stolas' lover. They were just fucking each other for his own benefit. Nothing more.
"What exactly do you mean by that?" Asked Morgana, ignoring Blitzo's yelling so she can focus on what Mordekaiser just said. She heard of Piltover but nothing about its recent plights. So, she wasn't sure what Mordekaiser was doing that was actually beneficial for its people. "How do you help the people of Piltover?"
"After Noxus left, the people of Piltover and its neighboring city or a portion of Piltover, depending on what you believe it should be, Zaun suffered some…internal strife that has been stirring for generations. Noxus may have stoked the flames and used it to their own benefit, but make no mistake, it was a strife that was destined to happen." Said Mordekaiser before flexing his clawed fingers. "After Noxus left Piltover alone for a while, the internal strife between Zaun and Piltover still remained. Lessened, but still alive. Individuals from both sides tried to fix the damages left behind from Noxus' involvement and their own actions, but its rather difficult to undo generations of hatred and loathing between two people. Unless you know where to start." He stopped flexing his claws and showed the picture of the cogs behind windows again.
"Clan Ferros of Piltover." Said Mordekaiser. "One of Piltover's oldest houses. Responsible for financing some of the major players of Piltover and Zaun's latest strife and one of the few to get away from the major events that led to the killing of one of Noxus' best generals and the expulsion of Noxian influence in Piltover relatively unscathed. They were in a prime position to help rebuild Piltover and Zaun from the mayhem left behind by both Noxus and those individuals in Piltover and Zaun that caused some…unfortunate chaos. Unfortunately, they weren't exactly keen to being on the forefront of Piltover's rebuilding." He then showed an image of Mordekaiser speaking with some humans. Young ones by the looks of it. "Fortunately, an opportunity presented itself that allowed me to not only push them to this but also extend a mutual beneficial relationship with Piltover. One that benefits everyone. Not just myself and Clan Ferros."
"Forgive me for doubting that, Mordekaiser, but what exactly did you and this Clan Ferros agree to? Many claim such things and such claims are often not the case." Asked Morgana as she looked at the image of the humans with Mordekaiser. One was a young man with platinum white hair and the other was a young woman with the same hair color. Both had bright blue eyes and seemed to be around the same height. While the young man seemed to be pleased with something Mordekaiser said to them, the woman was more critical given her glare towards Mordekaiser. Yet the glare wasn't hostile, rather it seemed to be more analytical and critical to what Mordekaiser had said. She also noted that the woman seemed to be utterly fearless upon seeing Mordekaiser unlike the man who seemed to be more cautious and afraid of the Iron Revenant.
"The former heads of Clan Ferros suffered an attack from Zaunites powered through something called Chemtech." Explained Mordekaiser. "The patriarch succumbed to his wounds and the matriarch died soon after from anguish I've been told. Needless to say, their successors were eager to prove their worth, well one of them anyway, and to honor their parent's legacy." Upon hearing all that, everyone processed what Mordekaiser just said before Moxxie spoke up.
"You didn't…have anything to do with their parent's death, right dad?" Asked Moxxie. Although he loved his father, he was mature enough to know just how ruthless he was to those he didn't have any connections with. His actions against Alastor, Verosika, Blitzo, and many other people in Hell and Earth were clear indications of that. Especially when he wanted something.
"No." Said Mordekaiser simply. "I was actually planning on convincing their parents to make an alliance with me when the initial events with Noxus were done. Yet they died before I could make an effective argument with them. Their deaths were rather unfortunate to my plans. They were quite skillful and connected to Piltover's elite. Not to mention quite pragmatic as well. Fortune would have it, however, their children were willing to cooperate, regardless of my origins. Well, the brother anyway. The sister was more cautious in what I have to offer, but respect that of her. Pragmatic, but also not reckless. And never showing fear in the face of overwhelming danger to her life. Its quite rare to find such bravery nowadays. In either case, I made contact with them and through a long process of diplomacy and promises of great rewards and renown for their clan should they help me, we agreed to a mutual beneficial partnership. I supply them with financial support, technology from Earth as well as magical knowledge from myself, In return I receive an ally within Piltover that will help ensure a smooth and easy integration of Piltover into my empire when I return to take Runeterra for myself. So long as I accept a few guild lines and restrictions of course."
"That's it?" Asked Stolas as he heard all this. Upon processing all this information, Stolas couldn't help but be befuddled with what Mordekaiser said regarding his deal with this…clan Ferros. "You give them knowledge and money that'll help them become more powerful in this Piltover and all you get in return is them helping you conquer their city peacefully? That sounds like they get the better deal than you."
"Yeah, real smart dea…ow!" Blitzo tried to comment on this but was stopped by Moxxie, who jabbed his elbow into his boss' stomach, knowing full well what he was going to say will cause his dad to maim him at best or torture him for all eternity at worst.
"It may sound like they have the better end of the deal, yes." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at the demons before him, annoyed but not surprised at their lack of vision and long term thinking. "But that is the point. I want the people of Runeterra to understand the benefits of serving me and my empire. I want them to see examples of why I am the superior ruler above everyone else. I want them to see why it is foolish to rebel or question my rule. And Piltover will serve as one of these examples." Upon hearing all that, Moxxie realized what the end goal was for his father's deal with this Clan Ferros.
"You want Piltover to be used as a reason why its foolish to challenge your right to rule." Said Moxxie, realizing one of the goals of his deal with Clan Ferros. "You want to make everyone second guess the idea of rebelling to resisting you simply because of you being undead by using certain people and cities as examples of why people should work with you. Why they should accept you as their ruler because of everything you can provide them." When Moxxie finished, Morgana also chimed in, realizing Mordekaiser's plan as well.
"The carrot approach." Said Morgana as she looked at Mordekaiser. Much as she didn't want to admit, she had to admit it was a clever plan of Mordekaiser. "By showing how people are thriving under your rule, you make rebellion or resisting your conquests of other people seem foolish. Essentially, you make yourself look like a man of the people and prove yourself a more competent and fairer ruler than their current ones. Meaning, you gain new people that will willingly join you, thus sparing resources needed to conquer them by force rather than diplomatically."
"Exactly." Said Mordekaiser as Millie, Stolas, and Blitzo realized the whole goal of his deal with Piltover. It was…quite an ingenious plan really. And it was something that none of them expected from Mordekaiser given his…appearance and general demeanor. "With my help, Clan Ferros' influence in Piltover has grown considerably. What damages wrought by the past mistakes and foolishness of Zaun and Piltover's people have been erased and Noxus influence over the city has been minimized to the point of irrelevancy. All because of me."
"But what about the Ruination? How is Clan Ferros dealing with that when you aren't helping defeat it?" Asked Moxxie, wanting to get back to the topic at hand. Much as this was all fascinating to hear as well as him being reminded he needed to do a crash course over Runeterra lore and history, Moxxie wanted to focus back on the Ruination and convincing his father to do something about it.
"When I learned of the current Ruination being more powerful than the previous ones, I ordered all my mortal agents in Runeterra to go into hiding in locations where my magic can protect them. For Clan Ferros, I ordered them to simply retreat to their holdings, where my mages have casted spells around their holdings to prevent the Ruination from affecting them and their affiliates. That way, I don't lose anything and the other denizens of Runeterra are mine to influence." Upon hearing that, Morgana glared at him.
"So you intend to let the Ruination run its course so you can prey upon the weakened nations of Runeterra with fake curtsey and care." Accused Morgana in disgust. "You intend to take advantage of the destruction and chaos wrought by the Ruination to spread your influence all across Runeterra. You intend to allow thousands, even millions, to die just so you can make it easier for your conquest of Runeterra. So you can influence the weakened nations of Runeterra like a puppet master." Mordekaiser simply looked at Morgana before nodding in confirmation.
"The Ruination will allow me to spread my influence more easily than without." Said Mordekaiser simply. "While the nations of Runeterra are rebuilding from the destruction wrought by the Ruination, I can place agents within their societies in places of power, convert those in power that have the potential to aid me in my conquests, and eliminate those that are a threat to said conquests. All of this without drawing much attention from the people of Runeterra because of the chaos from the Ruination. Thus expediting my conquest considerably and with less lives lost in the long term. Everyone wins. Hence why I will not aid in defeating the Ruination. I have too much to gain by letting it continue and very little by aiding in its defeat." When everyone heard his explanation, the reactions were mixed.
For Blitzo, Millie, and Stolas Mordekaiser's plan made sense if completely deceitful and immoral. Being demons of Hell, they didn't really have much in the way of morality to really challenge or question Mordekaiser's plan. In fact, if they were in his place, they would probably do the same. In Hell, it's a dog-eat-dog world they live in where only the strong thrive and common folk just trying to survive until they die. Its just the way life is in Hell. Plus, Mordekaiser's plan wasn't anything too different to what the Sins or the nobility in Hell do when they want something. In fact, it would be seen as the norm or even brilliant in some regards as…well the nobility wasn't known for their vision or brains for that matter. Stolas can attest to that many times.
For Morgana, however, she was absolutely disgusted with Mordekaiser and his lack of care towards the lives of others. How he completely was fine with letting innocent people die just so he can achieve his goals quicker. And the fact that he justified it by saying it will mean less lives lost in the future just threatened to have the winged woman to tear her chains out of anger with her bare hands. It was clear to Morgana that further steps needed to be taken with Mordekaiser than what she had arranged with him. Many steps.
Moxxie's reaction, however, was one of pure disappointment. He knew that his father was ruthless, yes, but he never thought he was this ruthless. Sure, his constant ignoring of the Exterminations was something he knew of and his attack on pretty much all the Rings in Hell prior to his announcement were all demonstrations of his ruthlessness and callousness towards others, but he didn't think he would go this far. Letting countless man, women, and children who are still among the living and still have so much to live for or even didn't have an opportunity to prove what kind of person they really are just to gain himself an advantage was something that sickened and disappointed Moxxie. It made him question everything his dad claimed so long ago about wanting to give everyone a chance to advance and become something more than they started with.
"How could they do that when life just keeps throwing obstacles in their life?" Thought Moxxie as he looked at his dad in disappointment. "How could they become something more when people do that? Or even just end their lives and dreams just because someone deems them less important to their own goals? How…how could you dad?" Moxxie, after swallowing a bit, spoke up to his dad.
"Dad. This is wrong." Said Moxxie as he stepped forward to his father, looking at him and his throne with disappointment but also determination. He had to convince him that this was the wrong path to take and soon or else more people will die. When he saw that his dad was looking at him, Moxxie continued.
"You can't let all those innocent people die just because you think its better for the long term that they die so others can live. What if they find out that you did this?" Said Moxxie as he thought of the most effective way to convince his dad to intervene on behalf of the people of Runeterra. "Do you think they'll be grateful or ignore what you did against this invasion of dead? No, they'll rebel against you or see it as a reason to fight you instead of wanting to join you. So, you're not preventing more deaths. You're just causing more deaths. Not only that, but your sacrificing your own principals to get what you want. Didn't you say long ago that you want give people a real chance to advance into something better than what they started out in? Well, your taking away that chance by letting them die while they still have so much to live for in the living world. I can forgive you for not doing anything against the Exterminations, but don't the same thing when something similar is happening with the Ruination on Runeterra. Your own home. So please dad, for the sake of your own principles and for those people that are being affected by the Ruination, do something against it. Please. If you're the dad that I think you are, you'll do this. Not for me, but for your own principals." Mordekaiser said nothing as he looked at his adoptive son as if he was pondering the Imp's words. Before Mordekaiser or Moxxie could say anything, Blitzo spoke up.
"Sheesh, Moxxie, why the fuck are you trying to convince your dad in doing something nice and charitable when you are working for an assassination business." Whispered Blitzo as he looked at his employee with a raised eyebrow, something that caught the attention of Morgana, who was standing near them and Millie, who was looking at her husband in admiration. "In case you didn't know, we aren't exactly the most moral people either. We kill people for money. You honestly think you got a chance to talking some moral shit to your dad when he was the one that got the very job your working in and you do without much complaint." As the winged woman was slowly making her way towards the two male Imps without drawing attention to herself from the other demons, Morgana overheard Moxxie's response.
"That's different, sir." Said Moxxie as he whispered back to Blitzo, a bit annoyed at him pointing this out when they had something more important occurring right now. "We kill people that deserve it or because we have no choice on account of your policy regarding who we take as clients. I'm not going to deny that some of the people being killed by the Ruination deserve to die, but there are countless more people in Runeterra that don't deserve it as well. We shouldn't let those people suffer and die when we have an opportunity to save them." Blitzo couldn't help but roll his eyes at that.
"In case you also forgot, we also kill people that also don't deserve to die." Said Blitzo as Morgana was listening into their conversation while narrowing her eyes, not liking what she was hearing. "I mean we killed that cannibal family at the start of the business without remorse. And we also killed all those people during that bet with Verosika. Lot of those people probably don't deserve death as well, yet you helped me and Loona kill all those people. And don't get me started on all those lumberjacks we killed." Before Moxxie could retort back, Morgana spoke up.
"You did what?!" Yelled Morgana, catching everyone's attention while her own attention was completely on Blitzo, violet eyes glowing bright in anger.
"Oh no." Thought Moxxie as he realized that Morgana overheard his and Blitzo's conversation. He had been so focused on his father that he had neglected Morgana, whose morals and explosive temper was something that called constant watching out for. Gulping at the glare she was giving Blitzo, Moxxie tried to speak up when Morgana spoke up.
"Tell me, Imp." Said Morgana as she glared at Blitzo, who gulped at seeing her glaring at him. "What do you mean when you killed all those people? What exactly do you, Moxxie, and his wife do for a living?" Blitzo gulped again as Morgana got closer to him. He looked around at his fellow demons for help, but both Moxxie and Millie were scampering away from the pissed off winged woman while Stolas was looking at her in fear as her wings threatened to break off from their chains.
"Well…" Said Blitzo as he tried to say anything to appease the woman when she was suddenly in his face, her violet eyes glowing bright with power that threatened to burst out of her eyes in rage, resulting in his usual bravado being squashed under her gauze, being replaced with fear.
"Answer the question." Said Morgana simply as she looked at the Imp, trying her hardest to not unleash her rage against the Imp. If he was doing what she think he was doing, then he was in for a world of pain and torment. Before Blitzo could respond to the question, Stolas gathered his courage and spoke on behalf of his lover.
"Please, madam, if you wish to be angry at anyone, it should be me." Said Stolas as he looked at Morgana in fear as she turned her gauze to him. Gulping a bit, but resolute on defending his lover, Stolas spoke up. "You see, madam, for the past year or so, I've been having an affair with this Imp." He pointed at Blitzo, who was scrambling away from Morgana as she turned her attention to Stolas. "An affair of benefits you could say. In exchange for a day of passionate sexual activities, he gets to have my magical grimoire for the rest of the month. He then uses my grimoire to help make his business a reality, which is helping Sinners in Hell get revenge on those that wronged them back in the living world." Upon hearing all that, Morgana blinked, her anger subsiding a bit at the sheer absurdity of what she just learned. When she processed it all, however, she glared at Stolas.
"You mean to tell me that you've been giving a magical grimoire that allows travel between the land of the dead and the living world in exchange for a night of sexual conduct." Said Morgana with gritted teeth as her wings struggled against the chains holding them back. It took all of Stolas' willpower to not shit or wet himself from the look of pure rage and disbelief that was thrown at him from the Seraphim like woman before him. Normally he would not stand for such disrespect, but this woman was a Seraphim, one of the most powerful beings in Heaven, thus more than a match for a demon noble like him. If she wanted to, she can easily kill him, and the Imps without much trouble. Thus, the only option of him living was to try and calm her down.
"Yes." Said Stolas as he looked at the woman, who was struggling not to explode in rage at the demon noble. Moxxie, a safe distance from Morgana if she explodes, looked at his father with a desperate look on his face, hoping he will do something to stop Morgana from unleashing her magic on Stolas and Blitzo. Mordekaiser, however, simply looked at Morgana as she glared at Stolas, her anger increasing by the second. "I realize how much this angers you, madam, but please don't punish Blitzo. He may be the one that made the business of killing living souls on Earth, but I was the one that made it even possible in the first place. Without my grimoire, he would never be able to go to the living world in the first place. So, if there is anyone that deserves to feel your wrath, its me. And I willingly hand myself over to you in exchange for you not bringing harm to my Blitzy." Upon hearing all that, all eyes were on Stolas, especially Blitzo, who was in shock at what Stolas was doing for him.
"Stolas." Said Blitzo as he looked at the demon noble in shock and disbelief as he looked at the winged woman, who was processing what Stolas just told her. For a brief moment, the demons thought that Morgana would take heed of Stolas' advice and only punish him, but what Morgana said next dashed those hopes.
"I cannot do that." Said Morgana as she looked at Stolas in pity but also anger. "Though I respect your desire to save your lover from punishment, I can't let his own crimes go unpunished. While I don't know how many people he's slain along with Moxxie and Mille," The aforementioned Imps winced at the anger that rose from Morgana's voice, meaning she was not happy with them as well. ", that ultimately doesn't matter. The fact remains that he killed people for the revenge of others. It matters not if those people were wronged or not, the people he, Millie, and Moxxie have killed should have been brought to justice. Brought in to repent for their crimes, to make them see the errors of their ways. But rather than doing that, these Imps have killed them in the name of vengeance. Not justice and I can't let that go unpunished. You may have given them the means to travel to the world of the living, but they were the ones to commit these murders. From where I'm standing, both of you deserve judgement for your actions." Stolas was stunned to hear that. Both desperate to protect his Blitzo and a bit angry at the woman for refusing his request, Stolas looked at her.
"Please, madam, I beg you to reconsider." Said Stolas as he looked at Morgana. "My Blitzy is simply trying to earn a living in a way that he enjoys. He has a daughter and they're just barely making enough to survive. So he needs this business of his to ensure they have enough money to survive in Hell. Please take that into consider…ack!" Stolas couldn't say anymore because Morgana had grabbed him by the throat, her expression full of rage and anger at Stolas.
"Stolas!" Yelled Blitzo as he saw this happening. Cursing himself at not bringing a weapon, Blitzo was about to tackle Morgana when Moxxie stopped him by doing his own tackle. "Moxxie!? What the fuck!?"
"You'll die if you go against her Blitz!" Yelled Moxxie as he held down Blitzo from throwing his life away. Although he didn't know how powerful Morgana was, Moxxie knew that she was more than Blitzo can handle if he dared to fight her.
"You dare justify murder of other people as simply a means to survive!?" Yelled Morgana as she tightened her grip on Stolas' neck, her eyes now glowing bright in violet fires as her temper threatened to break. "Those people that Imp of yours killed also had families that loved them or depended on them for survival as well. Do their lives matter less compared to your Blitzo and his daughter? Do they not deserve a chance to repent for their sins before their time comes? Did you think of that before giving away a precious tome of magic to an Imp that kills people for the mere sake of vengeance!? Did you!?" Stolas couldn't speak clearly as Morgana was starting to crush his windpipe because of how tight she was holding his neck. In desperation, Stolas raised a hand on Morgana and was about to cast a spell when Morgana noticed. Sneering in disgust, Morgana casted her own spell first, intending on disarming Stolas only so she can ridicule him further.
This, unfortunately, was not to be. For the moment the chains touched Stolas' right arm some immediately went wrong. At first it was just a small burning sensation but then instantly went into full searing pain as Stolas' arm became engulfed in purple flames.
This seemed to bring life to the demon noble because he instantly screamed in pain despite the hand around his throat as his arm quickly became engulfed in purple flames. Morgana, stunned to see this as she didn't intend for something like this to happen, instantly let go as she watched the flames engulfing Stolas' arm.
"Stolas!" Yelled Blitzo as he Millie, and Moxxie watched in shock as magical flames, for they had to be as Demons were immune to natural fire, started to engulf Stolas' entire right arm. Just before they could reach the rest of his body however, one of Mordekaiser's warriors quickly sliced the offending arm from the rest of Stolas' body with his halberd. Between the sharpened blade forged from both souls and metals found within the Grey Realm and the warrior's own strength, the halberd sliced through the demon noble's arm with ease.
Once the deed was done, the warrior grabbed Stolas, ignoring the demon's screams as black blood gushed out from his sliced limb like a broke water fountain, and dragged him away from the burning limb as the purple flames turned Stolas' right arm into nothing but ash.
Once the limb was not but dust and Stolas stopped screaming, everyone looked at Morgana or Stolas, the former being in shock at what happened while the latter was being tended to for his wound, panting as he was exhausted from all the screaming he did. Everyone was unsure of what to do until Blitzo, after fully processing what happened, screamed out in rage.
"You bitch!" Yelled Blitzo in anger as he glared at Morgana in hatred as she was looking at the dust that was Stolas' arm. Full of rage, he punched Moxxie in the face before kicking him off him, probably giving him a black eye and broken nose, before charging at Morgana.
Though still shocked at what happened, Morgana sensed Blitzo intentions and thus quickly grabbed him by the neck as he charged at her, rage clear on his face. She would have used her magic on him, but after what happened with Stolas, she realized that using her magic on Hell demons was a very bad idea.
Holding Blitzo by the neck, Morgana looked at the Imp as he tried to claw and kick the winged woman, unrestrained anger clear in both his face and eyes.
"You fucking bitch! I'm going to fucking kill you! I'm going to tear those wings of yours right off your body and feed them to you for what you fucking did to Stolas! You hear me bitch!" Yelled Blitzo as he tried to scratch and even bite Morgana's arm to get her to let go of him, but it seemed to have no effect on the woman as she ignored what attempts he had in hurting her. Sighing, Morgana was about to try and reason with Blitzo when Mordekaiser spoke.
"Enough." Said Mordekaiser as he rose from his throne. "Take everyone away and back to the central city. Its clear to me that what happened to Stolas has affected everyone here and thus they are not in the right state of mind. We'll settle this in another time. And ensure they're guarded at all times. We don't want another incident like this occurring while we have important discussions to make." With that, a portal was soon formed that will take them back to the city, where they can relax and try to calm themselves down from what happened between Morgana and Stolas. Following their lord and master's instructions, the guards that came with the demons and Morgana started to coral them all to the portal, silently instructing them to go through it.
Moxxie, seeing all this, wanted to protest, but knew that his father was right. Stolas was in need to medical help and Blitzo needed to be calmed down before he could make a big mistake. Thus, he and Millie, who was tending to her husband's injuries, followed the guard's instructions and went through the portal.
Two other guards, meanwhile, hauled Stolas to his feet and dragged him through the portal while the rest focused on dragging Blitzo through the portal, having removed him from Morgana's grip and restraining him from attacking Morgana further.
Ignoring the death threats of Blitzo as he was dragged through the portal, Morgana looked at the ashes that used to be Stolas' arm before looking at Mordekaiser, regret in her face, before eventually going through the portal herself, leaving Mordekaiser alone.
Once he was, the Iron Revenant thought of the interaction of Morgana and Stolas, particularly the interaction between her magic and Stolas' flesh, as well as what Moxxie said. Although he felt something akin to regret stir at seeing his son's disappointment but determined look as he tried to convince him to aid against the Ruination, thus causing said stirring, Mordekaiser felt something else when he saw what Morgana's magic did to Stolas' arm and he knew this feeling well. It was realization. Realization because he knew what magic Morgana used against Stolas. Magic that he hadn't seen for a very long time. Not since the days of his second empire on Runeterra. Not since he captured that one Yordle who knew that type of magic. He had his suspicions before when he saw bursts of her magic years ago and when he met her again for the first time in years, but now he was certain that she had it.
Yes. What Morgana wielded was none other than Celestial Magic. One of the rarest and most powerful types of magic in all of Runeterra.
Interest peaking more on Morgana, Mordekaiser started pondering on this new development as well as what to do regarding the Ruination for as much as he gained from letting the Ruination continue, his son left him pondering on the benefits of helping against it.
