Acid Death Angel in the Air
Ginro is knocked down again by Inuyasha as the point of the training was endurance for the blonde guy to get a little tougher to withstand anything, but Ginro really didn't like being put in so much hard because it's exhausting and painful.
"(Man, how the fuck did I get dragged into this?)" Ginro thought asked himself.
Then he remembers how Kohaku came up to them, asking for help to save Ruri and seeing how sad her face was when speaking about if there is even the slightest chance in saving Ruri then she'll take it.
"(Oh yeah, that…)" Ginro thought groaned.
Ginro looks over to se Kaseki and Suika holding glass cups while being cheerful, this actually makes him feel pretty jealous to see all of that new shiny stuff that those two get to have in their hands while Sango is doing a little cleaning to make sure these glasses don't have any dirty spots on them.
"Oh man, their team's so lucky. It looks like fun. They're playing. They got shiny stuff." Ginro complained.
"You're making it sound like you want some shiny stuff for yourself." Inuyasha said, walking up to him.
"It would be really cool to have a shiny thing like a shiny spear." Ginro said.
"You could try asking Senku, but I'm not really sure if he'll go for it." Inuyasha suggested.
"Why not? He made a gold spear for Kinro a while back, and it was so cool." Ginro recalled the golden spear that his brother has and never bothered to share.
"Wait! He actually turned a spear into gold?!" Inuyasha shouted in shock. He suddenly grabs both Ginro and Kinro dragging them all the way to Senku.
"Hey! Senku! Is it true that you made gold?" Inuyasha asked, getting his attention.
"Ginro said that you made gold, did you really make something like that?" Inuyasha asked.
"Gold? Oh, you mean the gold spear. Yeah, it was a little something I did to impress the two guards with how amazing science is even though they still refused to let me in." Senku explained.
"Can you show me that? I have to see this with my own eyes!" Inuyasha demanded.
"Turning a spear into gold? Now this is something I got to see!" Sango became interested in the subject.
"Hold on, don't we have something to do first, like making the sulfur drug?" Senku reminded them of the task at hand.
"I'm afraid you're gonna have to make this gold stuff they're talking about. When Sango becomes curious about something she's never seen before, she tends to want to know how it's done so she can do it herself later." Kaseki explained.
"Same can be said with Inuyasha, he can't help but wanting to see something if it's true or not." Kagome mentioned.
Senku now finds himself in a corner with Sango and Inuyasha leaning closer to him, their eyes demanding him to do the gold thing to see how it's done, and they aren't moving until he does.
Reluctantly, Senku agrees on making the gold spear for Kinro again just to get these two off his back and get back to work.
"Alright, here's how you do it. First, I break apart this cinnabar, which is sometimes called the philosopher's stone, and let it melt into the heat to become mercury." Senku started the demonstration of making gold color.
"Wow, didn't think I see this again. Takes me back when we first met." Chrome smiled as he remembered that day like it was years ago even though it was only around a couple of weeks.
"Now, just melt some gold dust into the mercury." Senku put the gold dust in.
"Take a spear, put it in the bowl to get it covered in the mixed mercury, then hold it into a fire." Senku took Kinro's spear and put it in the mercury bowl then put it right into the fire. "Oh yeah, and make sure not to inhale the smoke or it's death." He warned.
A few seconds later, Kinro's spear turned into gold right before Inuyasha and Sango's eyes.
"And here you go." Senku smirked as he handed the spear to Kinro.
"My spear…!" Kinro squealed softly in seeing his golden spear again, feeling like he just regained an old friend after so long.
"No way! He actually did it!" Ginro gasped.
"Hey, hey, hey, Senku! Would you by any chance make me a silver spear? Please!" Ginro begged.
"You were able to do it in a snap just like what you did with Kinro's spear, so it shouldn't be a problem for you to make a silver spear with all that glass stuff you have in there." Ginro pointed at the lab.
"I'm starting to think that Ginro only wants a shiny spear to make himself look cool." Kagome said to Sango.
"You're definitely on the mark." Sango nodded.
"(A silver spear.)" Senku thought started to think about it.
"Yeah, good point." Senku laughed a little with a grin.
"And now that we have our glassware, we're gonna have to suck it up and go get the next ingredient. Which is also the most difficult material to obtain." Senku believed this could really work in their favor.
"All right, let's break in this lab with a silver spear." Senku decided to go make a silver spear for Ginro.
"Yay! I'm finally getting a silver spear!" Ginro cheered, jumping with joy.
"I wouldn't be celebrating just yet; he's only making the silver spear because of the ingredient he just mentioned." Sango pointed out.
"That's right, this mission is quite risky. It may well cost you your life, Ginro." Senku confirmed it and looks back at the confused Ginro.
"We're going to set off on a grand adventure. One where we'll discover chemistry's greatest treasure. So, you'll be exploring an area that's ridiculously dangerous. Where you could literally die in an instant." Senku explained with a scary grin. This got Ginro a little scared in confusion.
"(Bet he's regretting the beg for a silver spear now.)" Inuyasha thought chuckled.
Soon, Senku and Chrome went into the rock collection to find the one rock that is perfect for making a silver spear.
"So, this hair-looking stuff's gonna turn into silver? That's bad. I was almost positive they were some kinda roots." Chrome was surprised when looking at the hairy-like rock.
Meanwhile, Inuyasha is training with the three fighters dodging their strikes and even parrying them with his feet then kicked Ginro making him stumble back.
But Ginro then looks over to Senku and Chrome working their science stuff to make his silver spear.
"So cool. They're gonna make my silver spear with that, huh? Wow! Science is super weird, isn't it?" Ginro commented.
"Pay attention to the training!" Inuyasha blitzed to Ginro on the left and punched him down.
"So, I meant I ask you, why is making a silver spear so important?" Chrome asked.
"Easy, because it's essential to our quest to acquire the most dangerous material." Senku answered, but it's still confusing to Chrome and Suika.
Moments later, the silver spear is born, and in the hands of Ginro.
"So shiny! So awesome! Thank you, Senku! I love my silver spear!" Ginro squealed in joy.
"You don't have to flap your gums one millimeter to thank me. The fact is, I didn't make that for you." Senku stated with a bag of glass containers.
"Come on, we need to get moving. Ginro, your job today is to be the team's bodyguard." Senku assigned Ginro that and he seems to like it.
"Wait a minute, why can't Inuyasha be the bodyguard and why Ginro at all?" Chrome asked.
"It's fine, this is something that brute strength isn't necessary for this mission." Senku waved off to Inuyasha.
Inuyasha was a little confused until he realized that he could use this chance to be with Kagome some more, to go on that date they never had.
"Hey, Kagome." Inuyasha walked up to Kagome.
"Do you wanna go on that date now?" Inuyasha asked, offering a hand to her.
Kagome remembers how Inuyasha asked him out 3700 years ago before they turned to stone, guess he must've wanted to give her something they never got the chance to have.
"S-Sure." Kagome blushed a little and accepted his hand, this also causes Inuyasha to blush.
Kagome and Inuyasha went off walking through the forest to have some peaceful moments that is definitely calming down the girl from everything that she is still processing, but she's getting better and couldn't be happier with Inuyasha by her side.
"Sorry I couldn't take you somewhere like a restaurant or the mall since those don't exist anymore." Inuyasha apologized.
"It's okay, being with you is all I need right now." Kagome smiled.
"Good, and it's nice to see that you've been getting along with the others." Inuyasha said.
"They've all been very good to me, and I saw how they've been helping each other to make this medicine for this Ruri girl." Kagome said, knowing they are good people in their own way.
"And I'll beat up that Magma guy should he get in the way." Inuyasha grinned with his fingers forming like claws.
"It's hard to believe that nature took over the world when humanity couldn't keep the stuff going." Kagome looked at the trees and such of the forest.
"Yeah, but Senku said we're going to get it all back once we wake up all the humans that were turned to stone." Inuyasha informed.
"Seeing what he's capable of. I have no doubt." Kagome smiled.
"Hey, remember how you'd let me ride on your back?" Kagome asked.
Moments later, Inuyasha is running through the forest on all four with Kagome riding on his back laughing with joy that this old thing they have together hasn't changed one bit even if thousands of years have passed since.
Inuyasha is also enjoying this moment as Kagome has been the only girl he would ever allow to ride on his back, to make her feel the wind on her hair with a little adrenaline.
"(Wait, that smell.)" Inuyasha thought noticed a scent in the air and then made a sharp turn.
"Hey! Inuyasha! Where are we going now?" Kagome asked, but he didn't answer.
Then a moment later, he stops and looks ahead in shock followed by Kagome who is also seeing the thing he sniffed earlier.
"Are those… cherry blossom trees?" Kagome asked.
"Yeah, there's no doubt about it." Inuyasha nodded as she got off from his back.
The couple looks onward in shock to see there are about almost two dozen of tall cherry blossom trees with the pink petals shining from the sunlight, they never thought they would see cherry blossom trees again.
"It looks like the cherry blossoms stayed. That's good to know." Kagome walked up to one tree.
"You know, this reminds me of the time our class went on a fieldtrip to a field where we planted seeds of cherry blossoms. There was even this plant science guy who made that stinky stuff for making the cherry blossoms not only big and strong but will last long for thousands of years." Inuyasha recalled that time.
"Yeah, when everyone was with us." Kagome smiled.
(Flashback)
Kagome got off a school bus with her friends and classmates as they arrived at a large field with the plant scientist waiting for them, holding gloves and trowels in each hand.
Kagome and Inuyasha are seen digging little holes for the cherry blossom seeds though the white hair boy is trying to swat a fly away and accidentally swatted some dirty on Kagome, but she didn't mind as she let out a laugh and threw a bit of dirt onto his face.
Everyone finished planting the seeds and the scientist start pouring in the fertilizer that he claims to help them grow and last a long time.
Kagome's three friends pulled her in to take a group selfie with the field behind them.
(Flashback End)
Kagome looks at one of the cherry blossom trees getting a weird familiar feeling, then a thought clicked in her head.
"Inuyasha, I think these trees are the ones we planted back then. The cherry blossom seeds!" Kagome said.
"Are you for real?" Inuyasha asked in surprise.
"I'm not entirely sure myself, just a feeling about these trees that feels familiar somehow." Kagome smiled.
But then Kagome started to think of something that Senku said back then, when he called her Inuyasha's girlfriend.
"Hey, Inuyasha?" Kagome said.
"What's up?" Inuyasha asked.
"Remember earlier when Senku called me your girlfriend and you didn't seem to mind?" Kagome asked, blushing.
Inuyasha flinches upon realizing that it really did happen.
"Oh, huh, does that bother you?" Inuyasha asked worry, also blushing.
"No! Of course not!" Kagome yelled a little, shocking the boy.
"Inuyasha! I really like you, I love you! And I want us to be officially boyfriend and girlfriend!" Kagome confessed and walked up and closer to Inuyasha.
"Whoa, whoa, are you fucking being real with me here?" Inuyasha asked in shock.
"How's this for fucking real!" Kagome grabbed his face and pulled him in for a kiss on the lips.
Inuyasha was shocked at first, but almost immediately kiss back wrapping his arms around her and the wind suddenly picked up and blowing some cherry blossom petals around the newly official couple as they take in the moment before separating.
"Wow, didn't think you jump the gun." Inuyasha was impressed.
"We've been apart for thousands of years. I was scared of never seeing you again, to see the light again." Kagome said.
"I don't know what's going to happen next, but what I do know is that I want to be with you, Inuyasha Tessaiga. No doubt about it." Kagome smiled.
"I feel the same way. I love you, Kagome Higurashi." Inuyasha confessed.
"Wow, feels weird for some reason." Kagome chuckled.
(Kingdom of Science)
"Hey, guys! We're back! And you're never gonna believe what—Oh my goodness!" Kagome gasped as she and Inuyasha see that Senku, Chrome, Kohaku, and Ginro are back looking down like they're dead on the inside.
"What happened? Are any of you hurt?" Kagome kneeled down to Ginro who looked more scared than the others.
"No, but we would've been dead had we not come back." Senku said.
"What happened? Did you find what you were looking for?" Inuyasha asked.
"Yeah, we found the dangerous chemical thing we need but can't get close to take some… Sulfuric acid." Senku answered.
"Sulfuric… Acid! Even I know that's stuff is really bad!" Kagome gasped.
"And we can't make the medicine for Ruri without this dangerous stuff?" Chrome asked, feeling a bit scared of this.
"Not only that, but we're also gonna need it for all types of chemistry. It's essential for further advancement." Senku explained.
"Well then, we'll have to brute force our way through to gather some. I'm not afraid to risk my life if it'll save my sister's." Kohaku volunteered to get some of that acid.
"Oh no, you're not going. Even I'm strong and faster than you, but not even I would be able to get though that stuff." Inuyasha stated despite not knowing much about this sulfuric acid.
"He's right…" Senku vouched for that. "Here's a story from back in my day. There was a research group that went to an area of sulfuric acid like that one." Senku began telling the tale.
(Flashback)
The research group is walking through a path for a science discovery and researching, but one man at the front stop to check on his shoe lasses.
"The man in front knelt down for a moment, probably just tying his shoes." Senku said.
"Professor? Is something the matter?" A female researcher asked, noticing the professor isn't moving at all.
(Flashback End)
"Poor guy was dead… He'd knelt right into an invisible cloud of hydrogen sulfide. It sounds crazy, but it's true." Senku finished the story which scared the others around him.
"Humans don't stand a chance when Mother Nature wants us dead. You can be ridiculously fast or strong as Hell, but it won't make a difference." Senku pointed out.
"So, what in the Hell are we supposed to do, Senku? I have to save Ruri, no matter what!" Kohaku was determined.
"Easy, we know you would but try to think about this more and how it would affect your sister if you died for her sake. You'd end up hurting her more than helping." Kagome stated, making Kohaku realize that.
"Isn't there way to get through that acid cloud without dying?" Inuyasha asked.
"Oh yeah, I know just the thing we need for this. We'll make gas mask." Senku grinned, believing it's their best chance in getting sulfuric acid.

Inuyasha and Kagome have officially become boyfriend and girlfriend as they declared their love for each other under some cherry blossom trees, but there is a problem with getting some sulfuric acid for the road map of the medicine for Ruri as they'll be needing some mask. Let's hope it's enough.
