It's time for the Sports Festival finale. Gizon and Izuku have had the week to prepare themselves, and both are ready to win. Can Izuku become the first support student in UA history to ever win the Sports Festival, or will Gizon be too much of a obstacle for him to overcome. What surprised does Izuku have in store to combat Gizon's quirk and come out victorious.
But before we get into the story, I have some announcement. So long time readers of mine will remember last December I didn't post any new chapter, but sent the month reviewing chapters posted throughout the year, grammar edits, increasing their lengths and add new plot point to help in the future. I'm thinking I'm going to be doing the same again this year.
Secondly, ITS OCTOBER. That means Halloween, second favorite holiday of the year. And that means costume and I've already got majority of my costume put together, and it's Dynamight. I have the base of the costume done, Shirt, Belts and Pants. I, hopefully, should have the gauntlets done by Halloween. I'm 3-d printing them and have an insane idea of putting a plasma pop in one of them. It's a toss up if I'm doing the mask, but I will not be doing a wig or his boots. (Wig: My head gets hot using a regular head. Boots: way too much work)
Further More, American release of MHA: You're next, is in two week. I've already got a ticket and plan on wear my costume. (LETTTT"S GOOOOOOOOOOO).
As always I do not own MY HERO ACADEMIA or Marvel or any of their characters
With that, let's begin.
In Classroom 6-G, Izuku had different footage of Gizon's fight from the Sports Festival and was having Jabisu analyze his fighting pattern. Yet it was just like Gizon's fight against Ojirou, every fight Gizon was fighting differently. He rarely repeated a move and he had several different combos that he could easily switch between, even in the middle of them.
"Sir. I am unable to find one singular pattern." Jabisu said.
"So you can find multiple then," Izuku said as he watched Gizon deflect Ojirou's tail. Before Gizon had followed with a thrust to Ojirou's chest, but this time he went for a leg sweep.
"Hisahito appears to be trained in three separate forms of martial arts. I've been able to match his movement to the art of Krav Maga, Wing Chun and Muay Thai." Jabisu said, as demonstration videos of the three martial arts always appeared above the holotable. Izuku watched the video and saw how the moves presented weren't all that different from the ones Gizon had used.
"They're all very different from each other, but he seems efficient in all of them." Izuku commented then looked at the three demonstration videos and thought, "We might not be able to telegraph his moves like a video games boss, but we can get a handle on them. Jabisu, download any video you can get that demonstrates Krav Maga, Wing Chun and Muay Thai. Then compare them to how Hisahito fights. I want to write a probability algorithm that analyzes his movement and predicts his next move, then gives me the three movements with the biggest probabilities. It's not going to be perfect, but it will at least help level the playing field, so I don't make a complete idiot out of myself."
"Right away sir." Jabisu said
While Izuku spent the night in Classroom 6-G, Gizon stayed up late in his room, watching the highlights of the Sports Festival. He wasn't just watching the third event, but also the first and second, watching Izuku's movement closely. Gizon walked how Izuku dodged around different obstacles and attacks, his movement too dissimilar from Iron Monger. They were faster and more agile but could the because Izuku didn't have the large suit slowing him down?
Gizon watched as Izuku flipped out of the trench and landed back on the pillar. Sighing Gizon closed the video, then swiped to the fight he had against Momo. This fight was going to be the most telling, Izuku was going to wear his suit during their fight. Gizon watched as Izuku overtook the PA system and made a grand entrance. Gizon froze the video after Izuku stood up. The armor looked so much like Iron Monger and a clear progress from the overly large and cumbersome suit to a more form-fitting sleeker suit could be seen. Yet the behavior was different, during the attack Iron Monger made himself over-imposing, by size alone. That didn't feel like the kind of person that came from the grand entrance Izuku had made.
Was Izuku just trying to separate the personas, cold-blooded killer, versus the reserved engineer that preferred machines to people? Gizon recalled the feeling he got from Izuku's quirk. It wasn't too dissimilar from Denki's, the feeling of electricity and the power coursing through their quirk. Gizon felt like he had static electricity in his hair, yet while Denki's quirk felt like a lightning cloud in the middle of a storm, Izuku's quirk felt like the whole storm had been captured in a small glass bottle, unable to escape.
Gizon sighed. He wished he had this ability during the USJ attack, then he would have been able to get a read on Iron Monger's quirk.
Gizon looked at the paused video, until there was damning evidence about Izuku's connection to Iron Monger, all Gizon could do was wait. Gizon resumed the video, for now, all Gizon could do was prepare for his fight tomorrow. And as he watched the video he saw something that could be useful.
The next day Powerloeader, Present Mic, Principal Nezu and Midnight were preparing the stadium for a virtual Sports festival. Present Mic was checking the sound system, while Principal Nezu and Midnight were coordinating with the Department of Education's representative and the camera crew that had come.
Powerloader was in a harness and was leaning over the edge of the railing, checking that all cameras had been properly bolted in. He unclipped the modified nail gun from his belt and nailed in one last camera. He then raised his hand pulled over a collections of cables and attached them to the camera. Powerloader then hit the power button and the red light turned on.
Powerloader then leaned back as if he was a rock climber ready to descend, he then called out to the camera crew, "Camera 4FWGK45FW connected and sending."
"We're receiving the signal down here, Powerlaoder. Looks like we've got all of them hooked up. " The head crew member said with a wave. He then looked at the different monitors. He pressed a few buttons and then yelled out, "Actually, Camera 46EWF4F6E is getting some kind of interference."
"Oh, sorry that's me." Izuku called out from the arena in the middle of the stadium, getting everyone's attention with a wave "I wanted to get a recording of the fight."
Powerloader just shook his head, while Izuku raised his helmet up and spoke into it, "You connected Jabisu?"
"Yes sir, recording and analyzing Hisahito." Jabisu said.
Izuku then looked over at the chief crew member, "Alright, your camera should be back to normal."
The chief crew member looked back at the monitor and said, "Alright we're good."
Powerloader gave a thumbs up and then gripped the railing. He then hauled himself over the landing and in the seats, He then unhooked his harness from the railing and let the strap hang by his legs. He looked down and saw the different cameras that he and the camera crew had set up. It was to provide an all-around view, so anyone who joined the livestream could choose from which angle they wanted to view the fight.
Powerloader looked down at the arena and looked between Izuku, who was standing, and talking to Jabisu. And Gizon, who was sitting on the other side of the arena looked as if he was meditating. While Izuku had his armor on, Gizon was wearing a simple white t-shirt and UA track pants with black running shoes. He was also wearing a pair of black fingerless gloves. He was only allowed to wear them as he had requested to wear them to have some padding against Izuku's armor. Principal Nezu allowed it, though they had been thoroughly checked for extra weights.
Suddenly Gizon opened his eyes and looked over at Izuku, "Hey Midoriya. I want to congratulate you on making it this far. You've definitely made the world shake, but I'm sorry to say this is as far as you go. You won't be winning this fight."
"I won't be so sure about that. There isn't much I can't do when I have time to prepare." Izuku said with a small smirk that Gizon matched.
"Just know, no matter what happens in these fights, I just want to say, I'm looking forward to seeing you in class soon. You might have failed the entrance exam, but you beat the zero pointer and you've proven that you can be a pro hero." Gizon said as he pushed off the ground, landing in a push-up form. He then lowered himself to the ground and then pushed hard enough to get his feet under him and stand up.
"Thanks for your vote of confidence. And I look forward to training with you." Izuku said as a green light went off in his helmet, signalling all systems were good to go.
Gizon smiled at Izuku. Because as much as Izuku was looking forwards to being transferred. Gizon was too as that meant he would be able to keep a closer eye on the support student and figure how exactly he was tied to the Iron Monger.
The DOE representative looked down at her watch and then called out, "Alright, we need to go live in 5 minutes."
Everyone gave their form of affirmation, while Gizon started to do light stretching, while Izuku slipped on his helmet. Present Mic stepped away from the sound system, grabbing a microphone and a small water bottle. As he walked up to the arena, he downed the water bottle. Then turned on the microphone and made sure it was connected correctly.
As Present Mic stopped in the middle of the arena, he glanced at Izuku and Gizon, "I'm glad we're finally doing this. My radioshow's ratings have been at an all time low. They haven't been this low since I first started out. You better make it a good show, unless Aizawa won't be the only one that irradiated with you."
"And here I thought you were a ray of sunshine," Izuku said, as he always listened to Present Mic's radio show, so it was hard to see him as anything else than the happy-go-lucky presenter he was.
At the same time, Gizon didn't exactly feel threatened by Present Mic. "Then how about we make this interesting, give us the whole playing field."
Present Mic looked at Gizon with a confused look, "What?"
"No boundary line, we get the whole grass area to fight in," Gizon said, gesturing to the white line that indicated the boundaries of the arena. While the rules and types of fights that occurred during the One-on-one fighting during the Sports Festival were always different, the fights were always bound within the white lines.
Present Mic turned to Principal Nezu, to see what his answer should be.
"We have two fighters whose strength relies on their strength, coincidence that means they work better in a larger fighting area. They would have no need to limit themselves, nor fear property damage. And no crowd here there's no need to limit attacks. No reason not to sit there, and is that not the point of the Sports Festival to show what the students of UA are capable of. Hisahito, I dare say your idea interests me. And I say I'm dared to allow it. I'm sure it would make for a spectacular fight. One that would cap off this year's Sports Festival is a way that would not be soon forgotten." Principal Nezu said as he thought about it.
Up on the platform, Izuku looked over at Gizon and asked, "Have you ever taken a business class before, specifically in business relations." As the way Gizon was speaking and the deals he was making, sounded a lot like how Inko had described the actions of the Board of Directors and those within marketing. A deal that seemed to be balanced on the surface, but then was pushed by one party while making it seem the other party was getting a better deal. It seemed that Gizon knew how to make such a deal with the most logical mammal in the world.
"Um, no." Gizon said, as was his first year in public school in a while.
The UA teachers looked at Principal Nezu, surprised he was thinking it over. Rarely he took over 5 seconds to think over an issue, but he had been thinking over it for 20 seconds.
"Powerloader, as the cameras are now. Are they able to view the entire grass field?" Principal Nezu said looking up at Powerloader.
"Well, uh, yes sir," Powerloader said. Was Principal Nezu considering accepting Gizon's offer?
Principal Nezu then turned to Izuku, "What do you make of this offer Midoriya."
"Huh." Izuku didn't know what to think of it. He was getting better with quick short movements, but several times he got very close to crossing the line. With the larger field of play, he won't have to be so concerned about it and he could focus more on Gizon, "Sure why not. And Hisahito, let's make a bet. Winner does an exclusive interview with Present Mic for his radio show after internships are done."
"I'm going to have to check my schedule, but alright." Gizon said.
"I accept the deal as well. Grass is in play, but sitting area is not." Principal Nezu said.
All UA's teachers looked at Principal Nezu, he had been the one to accept the change in rules during Gizon and Ojirou's fight. But the two of them could have done that regardless. But to completely change the arena. Did Gizon Hisahito have some kind of blackmail to hold over their rat overlord? If he did, what kind of blackmail could it possibly be?
Mr Aizawa shook his head. No matter how much Principal Nezu tried to portray himself as a logical-thinking mammal, there was nothing more that he loved than causing chaos for other people. And it seemed Gizon had figured out how to use that to his advantage.
"Alright we're alive in 30 seconds." The DOE representative said.
Principal Nezu then looked over at the camera crew and said, "I do believe since I just gave them the entire field to fight in, it might be in our best interest to get off said field."
It took a few seconds for anyone to realize what Principal Nezu was saying. When the first man connected the dot, he quickly grabbed supplies and ran for the ramp to get back into the stadium. Shortly after seeing their co-worker disappeared, the rest of the crew made the connect, grabbed their equipment and ran after him. All the while Mr Aizawa and Principal Nezu calmly walked after them.
From the stands, the DOE representative called out, "Live in..3…2…1."
Present Mic held the microphone up and then spoke into it, "Hello once again and welcome back to UA's Sports Festival for the first years. We can promise it will go to one for the history books. This time around we can come to you in a full 3-D virtually viewing experience and hope that all you watchers didn't have too much trouble finding us. For this final fight, we have Gizon Hisahito, from Class 1-A of the hero course. His opponent is a surprise, hailing from the support course, class 1-H, making it so he's not only the first support student in UA's history to make it pass the first round of the tournament, but to become a finalist. Can he go for the triple crown, it's Izuku Midoriya."
"Both of our fighters have fought tough opponents to make it here today. Hisahito fought his way through his fellow classmates. A bare knuckles fight against Kirishima. A fight of martial arts skills with Ojirou and a winner-takes-all fight against Uraraka. He's taken their challenges and beaten them.
"But he wasn't the only one as Midoriya also faced power houses from Class 1-A as well. He cut through Sero's tape like butter with a hidden blade. It was ice versus fire against Todoroki. Then he donned his suit in his fight against the vice-representative of Class 1-A, Yaoyorozu. Midoriya has used his intelligence to win these battles. Now for this final fight it will be strength against intelligence, which one will triumph."
"As always we have Midnight to referee the fights." Present Mic said, as he stepped off the platform and Midnight took her place.
"Alright, due to someone who loves chaos and creates it at every turn." Midnight said, tossing a glance at Gizon. Who didn't scoff but gestured as if to ask if she thought so lowly of him, "There has been some changes to the rules and Principal Nezu has asked that I repeat all of them."
Izuku knew the part was directed towards him, as he was friends with Mei Hatsume, who broke the record of explosions within the support department within two weeks. And while Izuku had yet to cause a single explosion his inventions were just as dangerous.
"This is still the Sports Festival, so sportsmanship is important above all else. So I want a clean, good fight meaning there is to be no deliberate bone breaking or any thing that results in loss of limb. While Recovery Girl is on standby, I don't think I need to remind you how much you two irritate her." Midnight said. That message was received loud and clear as Gizon smirked and Izuku got a mischievous grin. They might not find an irritated Present Mic scary but an angry Recovery Girl. Let's just say Gizon was happy to have his healing quirk and Izuku his armor.
"Now for the changes. Due to an agreement, the white line boundary is no longer in play. Meaning the fighters have the entire arena to fight, including the grass area and moving up to the wall. Meaning forcing your opponents out of boundaries is not possible, leaving forcing your opponent to submit, knocking them unconscious or causing them to be unable to move as the only means of victory. That being said, Midoriya due to your ability to fly, there has been a height limit set in place." Midnight said.
Izuku nodded, as that put a bit of a damper on his area to move. But it was a fair restriction, as at least Izuku had the rest of the arena to fight in.
"Nothing above the second floor." Midnight said. Jabisu immediately highlighted a ring around the arena at 6 meters, (20 feet) and put a red marker, so Izuku would know if he was nearing the limit.
"With that, are there any words you would like to exchange?" Midnight asked.
Gizon turned to look at Izuku and said, "How about we make this a bit more interesting for us and the viewers watching online. Loser buys Winner's dinner?"
"Sure why not. I've got no limit." Izuku said, as rolled his finger, causing the repulsors to hum to life as they warmed up. An outline of the new device Izuku had added for this fight appeared on the right side of his HUD. The device was ready to be used and all Izuku had to do was fire it off, but first he need to wait for the right moment.
Gizon let out a fake laugh and said, "Funny, since I was going to say the same thing."
Gizon then shifted a stance that Izuku recalled as the third stance he had taken against Ojirou. Jabisu scanned Gizon's body, analyzed the stance and gave the three most likely moves Gizon would open with. The move with the highest percent was a right uppercut, followed by a kick to the ribs, then the third was a right cross.
"Begin." Midnight said, from her platform. She then quickly got off the platform and then booked into the tunnel. She didn't want to be caught in the middle of a fight between the hero student that stood against Nomu and the support student that destroyed UA's front lawn with only five percent of his power.
Gizon rushed forward and Izuku saw him drawing back his right fist. So it seemed his predicting algorithm actually worked, so Izuku held out before his hand and pushed himself into his air. Gizon still tried to throw his right cross, but Izuku got out of his range just in time. Izuku then flipped over Gizon and as he slid to a stop he turned around and said, "We're supposed to give our all in this fight. So let me help you with that." Izuku raised his arms and shot two powerful blasts. Gizon's back took the hits but didn't stumble forward, allowing him to turn around.
It seemed Midnight had made the right choice to get out of the field as quickly as possible.
Gizon rolled his shoulders as he said, "And here I thought someone as smart as you, won't be dumb enough to do that. Well, I guess this going to be a full power fight from the gate." Gizon then dashed forwards.
Izuku's algorithm gave Gizon's next move was most likely to be a left punch to his chest. As Gizon got in close, Izuku brought his right hand up and caught Gizon's arm. Yet Gizon didn't panic, instead, he looked Izuku in the eyes and said, "I won't want it any other way."
Gizon's eyes began to shine yellow and Izuku looked down and saw a few green sparks jumping from his arc reactor to Gizon's fist which was only an inch away from it. Gizon then drew back his right fist and punched Izuku across the jaw. Izuku's head was pushed back but he slowly brought his head front and then drew back his own right fist.
Izuku then punched Gizon across the jaw and then opened his left hand and fired off a shot. The energy blast hit Gizon in the leg, causing him to stumble back. While Gizon was able to absorb all different types of energy, the rate he was about to do so was different for each type. Kinetic energy was the fastest, it was something he could handle before gaining his secondary quirks. Electricity was next, though if there was too much his body could still go a bit numb. Last was thermal, making it the hardest to absorb and Gizon least favorite to handle.
As thermal energy was the hardest energy for Gizon to absorb, if there was enough heat in the attack, he wouldn't be able to absorb it fast enough and become burned. So while Gizon was able to absorb the kinetic energy from Izuku's energy blast, there was still quite a bit of heat behind it. As Gizon stumbled back, he directed some energy to heal the burn that was over his knee.
It felt similar to Iron Monger's attack that Gizon had blocked so it didn't hit Eraserhead. Gizon had thought it was mostly kinetic energy, but the moment the attack had hit his chest, he could feel all the heat from it. And now having a chance to feel Izuku energy attack as well, they were practically the same.
Gizon looked up at Izuku, who said, "So that's your weakness. You can absorb energy, but don't handle heat so well."
"Maybe," Gizon said as he stood back up and he felt his skin cool down. He then launched himself at Izuku. There weren't many cracks in Gizon's defense, his trio of quirks handled many different things on their own, even more so when they worked together. But that didn't mean he was invincible, just a difficult b4321d to kill.
Izuku saw Gizon's next attack was most likely going to be a kick to the side, a headbutt or an underarm grab. Izuku wasn't worried about the headbutt, so he shifted his weight to be ready to block a kick, but also to blast into the air so Gizon couldn't grapple him.
Gizon noticed and put most of his weight on his front foot, causing him to slow down. It seemed Izuku was prepared for a kick, so Gizon shifted his weight around and planted his right fist against Izuku's jaw. But then Gizon followed through and hit Izuk's neck with his elbow. And not to give the genius a chance to think, Gizon continued his momentum and did a roundhouse kick to Izuku's side.
Izuku stumbled away but then used his repulsor to push himself into the air, where he found his balance and dropped to the ground. He turned around and saw Gizon running towards him. A string of code appeared on the side of the HUD and then three photos appeared. The first one was showing a punch to the gut, the second was a punch to the right side of the chest and then the third was a grapple around his neck to pull his head down into Gizon's knee.
As the two moves with the highest probabilities were punches in the chest area, Izuku moved his arm to block those areas.
Again Gizon noticed this and questioned if Izuku was some predicting his moves. It was clear Class 1-A had began to pick up on his unorthadox fighting, but that because they had personally fought against him multiple times. Perhaps he had done the same as Gizon had and rewatched the fights. But then Izuku would defending overall, yet wasn't what he was doing. Instead it looked like he was defending for specific moves, in this case a punch to either his chest or gut from Gizon's right arm. And then Gizon realized that was his next move, a gut punch then as bring Izuku's head down headed against his knee.
While Gizon had the speed and the strength, Izuku had mobility and it seemed he was about to keep up with Gizon's above-moderate speed. Beyond that Izuku had range, so Gizon's best option was to keep Izuku's close and not give him any area to prepare an attack. Though Gizon had suggested the idea, he had done so to see what Izuku would do. To give him the area that Iron Monger had to attack.
Gizon killed his momentum by absorbing the impact from his running and then brought up his left arm. Izuku tried to move to block, but Gizon hit him in the shoulder. Yet Gizon didn't withdraw his left hand, but then brought it up and wrapped his arm around Izuku's neck. Gizon then forced Izuku's head down against his knee. Then while Izuku was stunned Gizon kept him down in a headlock.
The world coming back into focus, Izuku began to punch Gizon in the side but realized how pointless it was after the third punch. Izuku didn't know how to get out of the headlock, punching was useless, but it seemed Gizon couldn't handle the heat from his repulsor. Gizon didn't seem the kind of fighter that would let go because of some pain. and if Izuku didn't break soon, Midnight could deem Izuku unable to move and he would lose.
Izuku then looked up and saw the red markers that initial his height limit. He guessed it was time to see if flight was in the bag of tricks Gizon was capable of.
"You want to hold me, then you better hold on tight." Izuku said as he wrapped his right arm around Gizon's back and grabbed his shirt. Izuku then directed power to his left arm and his feet and then the next second went flying into the air.
Gizon let out an exclamation of surprise and his hold loosened enough for Izuku to slide his head out. Yet Izuku wasn't done, Once he neared his height limit he dropped more of his power on his right side, causing as he spin around. Then as Izuku came to the apex of his flight, he did a 360 spin and ad the end of threw Gizon back down at the ground, hoping that some kinetic energy would get through
Gizon was caught off guard by the sudden lack of ground under his feet, but he had been in enough fights for his mind to quickly catch up. So as Izuku had thrown Gizon, his mind was able to catch up to the world. As he fell Gizon looked up at Izuku for a second, then smirked as he right himself and hit then ground feet first. As Gizon quickly fell into to a crouch, the cement around him spiderwebbed and a small crater formed around him as a dust cloud began to form. Gizon felt his knee and ankle go tight before hyper regeneration naturally activate and mended the sprain ligaments.
"It seems like you know how to fight. Well at least being able to hold your hold." Gizon said as he looked up at Izuku, but then he disappeared from sight as the dust cloud rose.
"I'll show you and the world how of a pro hero I can be," Izuku yelled as he dove down into the dust cloud. His visor turn to thermal and he aimed for the heat signature that could only belgn to Gizon. Izuku hoped to crash into Gizon and force into the ground. That way Gizon had to expend some of the quirk he had absorbed to break free. Yet as Izuku was able to crash into Gizon, the heat signature suddenly dash to the right, then Izuku felt Gizon grabbed his shoulder and waist.
Using Izuku momentum Gizon spun around and slamm Izuku to the ground, "But you still don't have much experience in winning."
"Now is better than any time to start." Izuku as he ingited all repulsors. Then like a break dancer spun around, taking Gizon' legs out from under him. Then as Gizon fell to the ground, Izuku pushed into the air. Once he was clear, Izuku stopped himself and shot back down towards Gizon. Gizon was starting to stand up when Izuku let out a yell and hit Gizon across the jaw. With Gizon had expect the hit, he was unable to absorb the kinetic energy. Meaning he spun around, as Izuku slid away like he was ice skating.
As Gizon took a knee, Izuku turned around and fired two quick shot at Gizon. He then shot forward and dropped kicked Gizon away. As Gizon went rolling away, Izuku used his gauntlets repulsor to catch himself and landed on his feet. As Gizon stopped rolled, he redirected some energy to heal the two burn on his chest, while he padded out of the flames of his shirt. He raised his head and looked at Izuku, who had both his arm extend out with his palm glowing.
Izuku fired a shot and Gizon quickly rolled out of the way. Then as he came out of the roll, Gizon quickly got onto his foot and took off towards Izuku, who fired a volley of energy blast. Gizon ducked, dodged and weaved through Iuzku onslaught, until he was getting in close and drew back his left fist. Seeing Izuku stop his onslaught and moved his arm to deflect a left jab, Gizon knew he had Izuku right where he wanted.
Because at the last second, instead of jumping forwards and threw the jab, Gizon dropped down to the ground and kicked Izuku's leg. Now Gizon was expecting Izuku to reflexively jump over the attack, or at least going flying back wards to dodge. Yet Izuku didn't move a muscle. This allowed Gizon to get a clean hit on Izuku's left calf, and being able to sweep Izuku's feet out from under him. And the moment Gizon's shin connect with Izuku's ankle, something did break, causing the sound to echo throughout the stadium. Yet it was the armor covering Izuku's ankle.
Gizon looked up, expecting to see Izuku falling. But Izuku was still standing up right with no moment in his action. Then Izuku looked at Gizon, the metal mask of his helmet giving the impression that it was unimpressed. Gizon was confused but then felt pain shooting up from his shine. Gizon grimaced as he rolled away. He held a hand to his shin as he felt Hyper Regeneration was already mending the fractured bone and he redirect some quirk energy to speed up the process. Gizon rubbed his shin and looked at Izuku, "Ow, why did that hurt?"
"The armor around my legs is thicker to help support the weight of the rest of the suit," Izuku said and held his hands behind him like the explosion user, and then used two quick bursts to slide forward. He then brought both of his legs up and blasted Gizon in the chest. Izuku then let out another burst from his repulsor and backflipped to the ground, "As I said, there isn't much I can't achieve if I have a chance to prepare. I've had all week to improve my mobility and in close-quarter combat. Something you've clearly underestimated my level in."
"So this is Mark 3, then." Gizon said. If the large suit from the USJ was Mark I, then the one he wore against Momo would be Mark II. Making this new and improved suit Mark III. Izuku had promised to bring his A game and so far that was slowly no longer becoming a disappointment.
"Maybe, but I'll let you continue to think that as that isn't the only surprise I've got for you," Izuku said, as his eyes glanced over at the display of the new addition he had. He considered using it now and ending the fight. No, Gizon was still bright-eyed and he had the energy to break out, Izuku needed to drain his quirk a bit more. Focus more on heat than kinetic energy, so Gizon had to use his quirk's energy to heal himself. Tire him out until the equipment worked.
"Yeah Midoriya." Gizon said in a voice that sounded like he was going to make Izuku's plan difficult to achieve. Gizon then held out his arm to gesture around him, "We've got this entire arena to fight. We don't want to bore the readers, so how about we make the most of what Principal Nezu has given us. I don't plan on submitting and you're going to have to hit me harder to knock me out."
Izuku knew it was bait, as he knew how Gizon's quirk worked. The harder Izuku hit him, the harder he would be able to hit back. And he was about to take hits from Ochaco and her seemingly new super strength. And Izuku didn't have any kind of system to knock people out, maybe he researched a few options, maybe talk to Midnight.
But for now, he had a fight to focus on. And Izuku had the same thought as Gizon, he would never surrender and Gizon was going to have to break through his armor to knock him out. Izuku looked at Gizon and green lighting jumped across his eyes, "Alright let's turn this up to 11."
Izuku and Gizon stared each other down and then with a yell, charged each other.
HAHAHAHA, you thought I would only the finale a single chapter. But nope, this fight is going to be two chapter. Partly because I felt this fight deserved to be two chapters, it's the finale. Partly because I wanted to test myself to make a fight that could longer that it needed to be two chapter longer. And how did I go about that, well I added the new rule of the entire field is in play.
This chapter was just bound to the arena, but next chapter Izuku and Gizon use the entire field to fight.
Next Time: Turning It Up To 11
Review and tell me what you think.
