Sara couldn't believe the big day was nearly here. Tomorrow, she will make Ava Sharpe an honest woman. Tomorrow she is getting married. Something that if someone had told her that five years ago, she would've laughed in their faces, since that Sara was an immature hothead who cared more about partying than taking anything seriously. She never would've believed that she'd not only get married to a woman, since she hadn't realized her sexuality back then, but would become a government agent, let alone the director tasked with rebuilding one of the country's leading spy agencies.

And yet, here she was. Argus was now closer to its former strength and she knew that Gamble would serve as an excellent interim director while she was on her honeymoon.

"You okay?" Ava asked her bride to be, a bit concerned by how quiet Sara had been.

"Yeah, it's just hard to believe that the big day is finally here and that Oliver is going to be here to see it after all." Sara said and Ava smiled.

"I know how much Oliver means to you. And to your sister. Especially since she gets to have her wedding too, since I know you felt kind of guilty about the fact that you got to have your wedding, but she wasn't able to have hers." Ava said.

"Yeah. But for the most part, everything worked out, though Tommy's invite was revoked and Argus is on standby to take down any unwanted party crashers." Sara said.

"Enough thinking about that, or else I might think that you're planning on bailing on the wedding." Ava said, only half kidding as Sara placed her hands on either side of Ava's face.

"Hey, that will never happen. I don't care what it takes to make it happen, but tomorrow morning at 10am, I am going to marry you. After all, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'm not going to give that up." Sara promised her fiance, thrilled that tomorrow, that title would officially change to wife.

"Good, just remember that before you head to Argus command instead of the wedding hall tomorrow, since you're staying with your sister right?" Ava asked.

"Yeah, but remind me again why we decided to go along with that archaic and outdated tradition for straight weddings?" Sara asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because you might not be extremely superstitious, but when it comes to our wedding, I'd rather be on the safe side and not risk any bad luck by seeing my bride before the wedding." Ava said.

"Fine. Besides, it'll give me a chance to thank Ollie for paying for the whole wedding." Sara said, since that had been one of Oliver's wedding gifts to Sara and Ava. Well, technically, he was sharing the bill with Sara's parents, since he knew that Sara's father's pride wouldn't allow him to get away with not paying for some of the wedding, since it was tradition for the bride's family to pay, especially since he was going to be paying for his own wedding to Laurel, but that Quentin could stomach, since it was his wedding he was spending money on. But Sara's wedding, Quentin wanted to contribute in some way, so Oliver had agreed to split the bill with him, though in reality, he was covering most of it.

"I still can't believe he's paying for so much of our wedding." Ava said.

"And our honeymoon in Bora Bora." Sara added.

"Yeah, that I'm not complaining about, since he got us a private villa, right on the beach." Ava said.

"I agree with that. And my dress is already at the mansion, since they moved in last week and you're sure you're okay with Oliver and Laurel adding Artemis to their invite?" Sara asked.

"Of course not. Besides, we're keeping the guest list relatively small anyways, since we don't need a big crowd. From what I understand, we'll get that at your sister's wedding." Ava said, though that was partially because her own family wouldn't be attending the wedding, since while Sara had sent them an invite, they'd never even bothered to send a reply card.

"Are you sure you're okay with your family not coming?" Sara asked cautiously.

"You're the only family I need Sara. It was sweet of you to try and invite them, but I knew that they wouldn't come." Ava said and while Sara wasn't convinced, she nodded.

"Come on, we need to get changed for the rehearsal dinner." Ava said and Sara nodded as they headed back to their apartment to change.

The next morning found Sara standing in a bride's room at the wedding venue, wearing a silver robe as she looked at herself in the mirror while her wedding dress was still in its garment bag, waiting for her to put it on. After her mom and sister arrived to help with her hair and makeup.

Speaking of which, when Sara heard the door open, she turned to see her mom, sister and niece come walking in. Or well, Jasmine came running in her pretty flower girl dress.

"Auntie Sara, look how pretty I am." Jasmine said as Sara picked up her niece.

"You do look pretty Jasmine. I'm almost worried people are going to pay more attention to you than me today." Sara said.

"No, I won't do that." Jasmine was quick to promise her.

"I know sweetie, I was joking." Sara assured her as she put Jasmine down.

"You're lucky I love you enough to wear this hideous bridesmaid dress." Laurel said, since her dress was a pale blue color with an A-line with a frilly flower trim and it was not the most attractive thing she could wear and she would be changing into something more flattering before the reception.

"And I'm sure you'll pay me back for it with something equally hideous when I'm your maid of honor. Besides, today's not about you looking good." Sara reminded her.

"I know. I just wanted to give you a little trouble before I switch over to my maid of honor mode and turn you into my puppet." Laurel said.

"Work your magic on me. Make me look perfect for my special day. But have you seen Ava?" Sara asked.

"Who do you think sent us here to make sure that you're not skipping out? She's having a full meltdown." Dinah told her daughter.

"I wish I could go calm her down, but I get the feeling that seeing me before the ceremony will only make her worse." Sara said.

"You're right about that." Laurel agreed.

"Come on, the sooner we get started, the sooner I get married and the sooner Ava calms down." Sara said.

"Sounds like someone is eager to get married." Laurel teased.

"Like you're not." Sara responded.

"Fair enough. Now sit down and let us work our magic." Laurel said and Sara just nodded as she sat down at the vanity and surrendered herself to the mercy of her mom and sister, while Jasmine watched eagerly.
