Chapter 13: Clayton and the Stealth Sneak
After defeating the last Powerwild and getting the gorillas to safety, Tarzan and Hawk Squadron ran into Jane and Terk.
Jane: Clayton came to us in the tent then… I don't remember what happened next.
Dolly: I knew he was bad news.
Stone: We can pick up his trail if we head back to the camp.
Using the Vine Slid, the group arrived back at the campsite in no time. Dolly found Clayton's smoking pipe discarded on the ground.
Dolly: (Picking it up) He's close.
Stone used his Macrobinoculars and found Clayton's tracks leading to the cliffs.
Stone: I got a trail! Follow me.
Dolly put Clayton's pipe in her back pocket and raced off with the others. Clayton had used his Powerwilds to round up some gorillas. Readying his rifle, Clayton prepared to fire.
Sora: No!
Clayton held his fire and turned to his unwanted guests.
Sora: Clayton!
Tarzan: Not Clayton! *&X%! Not Clayton!
Clayton aimed his rifle at the heroes and everyone scattered as he fired. Sparky had a plan and asked Dolly to launch him at Clayton. Dolly let Sparky jump into Yubashiri and Dolly launched him at Clayton. Sparky flew right into Clayton's gun and charged it with enough electricity to make Clayton drop it. Sparky picked it up and ran back to his friends.
Stone: HA! Well done, Private.
Clayton drew his machete, refusing to accept defeat as the heroes surrounded him. Suddenly, the rock wall behind him exploded and Clayton started floating in midair.
Goofy: He's flyin!
Tarzan: Not flying!
Tarzan pointed to reptilian footprints under Clayton. Everyone was knocked aside as Clayton started at Sparky with psychotic rage.
Sora: Dolly, you and Tarzan are with me! Stone, you and the others keep Sparky safe!
Thinking quickly, Sora blasted Clayton with a Fire spell and knocked him to the ground. This also caused what he was riding on to reveal itself. It was a giant green and black chameleon-looking Heartless. This was the Stealth Sneak.
Stone: (Readying S-5 heavy blaster) Now we can see it!
Clayton got up as Dolly rushed at him with Yubashiri, but he blocked her with his machete.
Dolly: (Swinging Yubashiri as Sora and Tarzan came to attack) You're a monster! You attacked innocent creature!
Clayton: (Knocking Dolly aside) It's just profits, my dear. I could forgive this and cut you both in on it.
Sora: (Rushing) I'd sooner eat my own shoe!
Sora attacked Clayton with Tarzan's help. Sora swung hard with Lady Luck and shattered Clayton's machete. Tarzan took Sora's arms, spun in place, and launched Sora at Clayton. Sora kicked Clayton right in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him. Stone and his party were struggling with the Stealth Sneak.
Stone: (Shooting) This thing has tough skin!
Donald: (Firing Thunder Spell) We're barely doing any damage to it!
Sparky dragged Clayton's rifle to Stone and said to use it and him.
Stone: (Taking it) Good idea. Lieutenant, can you fuse a spell onto Captain Goofy's shield?
Donald: Yes.
Sparky jumped into Clayton's gun as Donald fused Goofy's shield with fire.
Stone: (Taking aim) Try this on for size!
Stone fired while Goofy threw his shield. Both the electrified bullet and burning shield pierced the Stealth Sneak.
Stone: (Throwing rifle) Worthless piece of junk.
The rifle landed near Clayton. He grabbed it and attempted to shoot the heroes, but the Stealth Sneak twitched from its injuries and collapsed onto Clayton. The Stealth Sneak faded away, taking Clayton with it. All that was left was his rifle. Dolly picked it up and smashed it against the rocks. Dolly brought out Clayton's pipe and thought it was enough of a souvenir. Kerchek approached the heroes and immediately threw them onto the cliff. Tarzan effortlessly climbed up.
Tarzan: Friends, follow.
Tarzan led his friends into a cave close by. Water flowed down from all around them, glistening from the light outside. Dolly took a moment to wash Clayton's pipe clean of tobacco and Clayton's saliva.
Sora: (Climbing) Dolly, come on.
Dolly pocketed the pipe and caught up with the others. Tarzan led everyone to a bright orb under a thriving tree.
Dolly: This is beautiful.
Sparky: Ih.
Jane and Terk arrived a short while later.
Tarzan: *&X%.
Sora: This is your home. But that means…
Tarzan listened well to a sound nearby.
Goofy: Huh?
Stone: That's water.
Jane: The waterfall. They're echoing all the way here.
Tarzan: *&X%. Friends there. See friends.
Jane suddenly figured out what Tarzan was saying.
Jane: Oh, now I've got it. *&X% means hearts. Friends in our hearts.
Tarzan: Heart...
Sora and Dolly were disappointed. They were back to Square One on their search.
Sora: Oh, so that's what it meant.
Tarzan: Friends, same heart. Clayton, lose heart. No heart, no see friends. No heart, no friends.
Sora, Dolly, and Donald understood what Tarzan was saying.
Sora: (Dolly equally ashamed) Sorry about the argument, Donald.
Donald: I'm sorry, too. You both have loved ones to find just like me and Goofy need to find the king.
Goofy smiled as he brought everyone together.
Goofy: Yeah. All for one, huh?
The orb's light died down and revealed bright colored butterflies. They flew away and revealed same Keyhole shape like in Wonderland. Sora pointed Lady Luck at it and the lock was done.
Stone: Let's take the data disk we found earlier back to M5-BZ.
Terk started brushing against Donald and he saw her affection towards him.
Jane: I think someone has a new admirer.
Dolly: Donald, lover of apes.
Donald panicked at the thought for a different reason.
Donald: No, no, no, no! Daisy would kill me!
Suddenly, Lady Luck vanished from Sora's hand. When he summoned it again, it was different. The material looked like it was wood, the teeth were five blunt tan spikes, and the keychain token was a butterfly. This was the Jungle King Keyblade. Meanwhile, far away, a group of people whose souls were as black as night and whose thirst of greed knew no bound. Most stood in the shadows, but one stood in the dark light. She wore clothes in the shape of a dragon, eyes as green a emerald, and a heart poisoned into a poisonous black rose. This was Maleficent. They watched the events of Deep Jungle unfold.
? #1: What drove the Heartless to that world?
Maleficent: The hunter lured them there. It was his lust for power that was the bait. But it seems the bait was too tasty for his own good.
? #2: (Laughing) Yeah, he got chomped instead!
One of Maleficent's guests walked into the dark light. He was dress in red & black clothing and held a cobra-shape scepter. This was Jafar.
Jafar: A weak-hearted fool like him stood no chance against the Heartless. But the boy is a problem. He found one of the Keyholes. And the girl protecting him is an equal annoyance.
Maleficent: Fear not. It will take him ages to find the rest. (Showing them boarding the Ebon Hawk) By then, the girl either will fail in protecting him or be destroyed. Besides, he remains blissfully unaware of our other plan.
