Chapter 33: Trick or Treat
As the group entered the town square, they found the Mayor panicking over the Heartless going crazy all over town.
Mayor: Jack! Jack! We have a major crisis!
A Heartless pounced towards the Mayor but was destroyed before it touched him. The Mayor saw Stone's WESTAR-34 blaster pistol smoking.
Jack: The experiment must've caused the Heartless go crazy! Mayor, find shelter and alert the townsfolk to stay inside!
The Mayor ran as new Heartless appeared. They looked like mummies only with one eye. These were Wright Knights.
Sora: (Summing Wishing Star) We need Sally's Memory! The experiment might calm them down! Stone, lead Donald & Sparky and try to keep the Heartless from hurting anyone. Everyone else is with me and Jack!
Sora and his team ran to the cemetery to find Sally as Stone and his party opened fired on the Heartless. The Wright Knights forgot about the townsfolk and went for them. Meanwhile, Sora and his party came to the cemetery but it was so big.
Dolly: Finding someone here will take hours.
Out from a grave came a happy ghost dog with a Jack O'Lantern nose.
Jack: Zero! Have you seen Sally anywhere?
Zero barked happily at his owner and led them to a large tree where Sally was hiding. She was a living ragdoll with red hair and a dress made of separate fabric patterns.
Jack: Sally, are you okay?
Sally: Yes, I just tripped earlier. Is everything okay?
Jack: Yes, everything is fine. We're going to have the best Halloween ever. All we need now is your memory.
Jack explained everything to her and Sally brought a special flower. She gave it to Jack but decided to voice her worry. She saw the Heartless and felt uneasy around them.
Sally: Jack, I have a bad feeling about this. Why don't you try something else? There's still time.
Goofy: Maybe you should listen to her. The Heartless are a bad idea.
Jack: Don't worry. The doctor and I will make sure it safe.
Jack and company started back to the Doctor's with Sally in tow. No one knew that three unfriendly ears were listening. Out from a coffin, jumped three kids dressed as a devil, a witch, and a skeleton separately.
Devil: Lock!
Witch: Shock!
Skeleton: Barrel!
Lock: Did you hear that?
Barrel: Yeah, I sure did! A heart! What should we do?
Shock: (Hitting Barrel) We tell Oogie, stupid!
The trio ran to their treehouse where their master resided underneath. Stone and his team summoned Simba to help fight as the others ran by.
Sora: Need any back up, Stone?
Stone: (Shooting his Westar-34 and S-5 blaster pistols) No thanks, General.
Sora caught up with the others and found Dr. Finklestein already piecing the Heart together. By a stroke of luck, Dolly spotted a Torn Page of Pooh's book on the Doctor's bookshelf. She pocketed it before he spotted her.
Dr. Finklestein: (Examining the heart) Just one more ingredient: Surprise. I believe the Mayor has it.
Sora: I saw him running into town hall.
As Sora and company ran to town hall, the Naughty Trio told their master about the Heart. Looming over the coward trio was a giant living burlap sack filled with bugs. This was Oogie Boogie.
Oogie: (Laughing) A heart? That bonehead, Jack, is really making a heart? That works for me. Ohh, when I get my hands on that… (Seeing his lack of hands) Well, I've got no hands… But I'm still gonna nab that heart and control the Heartless.
The trio ran off to get the Heart. Meanwhile, the Heroes met up with the Mayor.
Mayor: (As the others held the Heartless back) And you're sure the Heartless will calm down when the machine is working again?
Dolly: Absolutely.
Wasting no time, the Mayor gave them a Jack-in-the-box.
Jack: Thank you.
Sora and company ran back to the Doctor, hoping his device would calm the Heartless down. They gave the Doctor the Jack-in-the-box and the heart was complete.
Dr. Finklestein: This should calm them down.
Dr. Finklestein rolled over to hook the heart up to the guidance system, but Barrel jumped in front of him and made him fall to the ground. The heart was sent flying right into Lock's hands.
Lock: Bye-bye.
The trio ran off with the heart.
Sora: After them!
