Chapter 39: Ursula
While Sora and friends were searching for Ariel, she was helping Ursula. She snuck into the palace where the Trident was stored. Ariel took it and handed it to Ursula. Sora and the others saw light coming from the palace and swam up to investigate. They found Ariel by her father's side. He was injured and weak.
Triton: The trident… we must get it back.
Sora: Let's go.
Sora and company were swimming off when Ariel stopped them.
Ariel: Wait, I'm going with you! My father is hurt and it's all my fault… For more than one reasons.
Sora: Alright. First we need to know where she went.
Triton: Her lair… It's by the shipwreck.
Everyone swam off to Ursula's lair. Approaching the shipwreck, everyone noticed there weren't any Heartless guarding the area.
Ariel: (Swimming) Guys… I'm sorry.
Sora: For what?
Ariel: Ursula told me you all were from other worlds.
Dolly: (Guilty tone) We're sorry, Ariel. It's a secret we weren't allowed to tell anyone. Your dad surprised us when he confessed he knew all along.
Goofy: Ya mad?
Ariel: I was but then I thought you guys would've told me if you could.
Donald: We had to protect the order.
Dolly: We can worry about that later. We got to find Ursula.
Everyone looked around for a clue. Sora then stumbled upon a boulder blocking a hole. Signaling for the others, everyone managed to move it out of the way. Everyone swam through. They soon came across a giant skeleton of a long dead animal.
Dolly: Even though I'm a dog, this thing gives me the creeps.
Everyone swam down and found Ursula's lair.
Ursula: So, my dear, you decided to go back on our deal.
Ariel: I made a mistake! Give me back the trident!
Ursula: And your friends?
Everyone summoned their weapons. Ursula smirked and swam into a tunnel. Everyone swam after her. They ended up in seemingly endless abyss.
Sora: Where'd she go?!
From the abyss, a giant Ursula stared down at the heroes like lion to a mouse.
Dolly: (Spinning Yubashiri) She's nothing but an oversized seafood platter! Let's take her down!
Everyone swam for Ursula's head and began attacking her. While she was a lot bigger, she wasn't tougher. She took the attacks hard.
Dolly: What's the matter, Ink Stain?! We getting the drop on… (Getting grabbed) You?
Ursula grabbed everyone but Sora.
Ursula: You shouldn't have interfered, boy! You should've followed the rule!
Sora swatted Ursula's tentacle away from him.
Sora: Maybe… (Gripping Olympia) But I won't let evil people like you win!
Ursula: (Charging the trident) Such heroic nonsense.
Ursula fired a massive energy blast at Sora but he stayed strong. Channeling the energy to his Keyblade, Sora began to redirect it.
Sora: (Firing) What goes around… COMES AROUND!
Sora fired at Ursula and nailed her in the head. As Ursula fell, she let go of the trident and Sora's friends. Everyone left the scene; unaware Sora didn't kill Ursula, just weaken her temporarily. Everyone swam back to the palace and gave Triton back his trident.
Ariel: Daddy, I'm so sorry.
Sora: Please, don't be angry with her.
Dolly: She also stole the trident because she was mad at us on lying.
Triton: It's my fault, as well. You followed Ursula because I wouldn't let you follow your heart. And when you found that crystal, I lost my temper and destroyed it.
Goofy: Oh, yeah, the crystal! Why did you destroy it?
Triton: That crystal held the power to reveal the Keyhole. The Keyhole is dangerous. I had to keep you away from it at any cost.
Dolly: I wonder why Ursula didn't use the Heartless much.
Triton: Ursula's weakness has always been underestimating her enemies. Now, I have a request for the Key bearer: Seal the Keyhole. (Looking at his weapon) My trident also holds the power to reveal the Keyhole.
Sora: Perfect… But where is it exactly?
Triton: (Chuckling a bit) That's the amusing part: It's in Ariel's Grotto.
Everyone was dumbfounded on the fact they were so close to the Keyhole; they could've sealed it hours ago.
Triton: (Giving them the trident and a Data Disc) I found this a while back.
Taking the items, everyone swam for Ariel's Grotto. Inside, Ariel allowed the trident to show the Keyhole. Sora raised the Keyblade and locked the Keyhole.
Ariel: Tell me, Sora. Your world, what's it like?
Sora: It's home.
Ariel: I thought that would be an answer. I'll find a way to travel to other worlds… Somehow.
Dolly: You end up in a place called 'Camden Town', look me up.
Sora watched as Olympia disappear. He resummon the Keyblade and it was new. The weapon was formed ocean waves, the key teeth was a crab, and the token was a seashell. Everyone swam off to get picked up by the Ebon Hawk.
