Chapter 52: Down with the Behemoth
Returning to Hollow Bastion, Hawk Squadron found Beast at the landing point.
Sora: Where's Belle and the others?
Beast: Still inside.
Everyone looked at the Heartless swarming the castle.
Goofy: Against their will?
Beast: No, I think they stayed for a reason.
Donald: I wonder why.
Stone: Did you try to help them?
Beast: I tried but they said I had to meet up with you all.
Dolly: (Drawing Yubashiri) Then let's end this once and for all.
Agreeing with Dolly, everyone stormed the castle, ready to seal the Keyhole! The Heartless saw them coming and moved to intercept them.
Dolly: (Bring out their new Summon Gem) Let's test this new gem out!
Powering up the Summon Gem with her Laser Lamp, Dolly caused a small, red dragon to pop out.
?: I LIVE! NOW WHO'S THE GREAT ENEMY THAT REQUIRES THE MIGHTY FURY OF MUSHU?!
Dolly: (Picking him up) Big talk for a little guy.
Mushu: (Wrapping himself on Dolly's arm) You better believe it!
Breathing fire, Dolly used Mushu as a wrist-mounted flamethrower. Working together, everyone fought their way to the princesses.
Sora: (Slashing Heartless with Oathkeeper in one hand and Uramasa in the other) Keep up the pressure, everyone!
Stone: (Shooting his DC-17 Hand Blasters) Understood, sir!
Sparky tackled Heartless like an electrified pinball.
Donald: (Casting spells) We have to get to the Keyhole!
Beast: (Clearing a path) This way!
Following Beast, Hawk Squadron managed to find a short cut up to the Keyhole Chamber. They found the Princesses of Heart shining a light from their hearts to keep the darkness from swallowing the world.
Beast: Belle?
Belle and the other Princesses remained unresponsive. It took all their strength to keep the darkness at bay. They sensed the Keyblade near and managed to give Sora more strength by giving him a new Keyblade. Sora summoned the Keyblade and saw a new one. It was black with two bat wings as the handle guards, a black blade as the blade with the Japanese Kanji for "Darkness" as the key teeth, and Sora's crown neckless as the keychain token. This was the Oblivion Keyblade.
Goofy: Ya think they're okay?
Dolly: Beast, we can handle whatever is waiting for us. You stay here and guard the Princesses.
Beast: Go luck… (As they left) My friends.
As the squad went into the Dark Depth, stomping towards them was a black and green creature with two tusks that spiraled upward to resemble horns. This was a Behemoth.
Sora: Hawk Squadron… Let's take this thing down!
Charging forward, the Behemoth slammed a foot down making the team scatter. Dolly climbed up and started shooting fireballs on its back. Mounting Simba, Sora started using his blades to slice up the Behemoth. The Behemoth tried to counterattack but Stone threw grenades at it and Sparky kept zapping him. Donald and were doubling on spells and firing them at the Behemoth. The Behemoth was about to crush Donald but Goofy jumped in front of him to protect him. Sora got to the Behemoth's Heartless Logo and threw Uramasa into it. He rushed at it and slammed Oblivion into it, making Uramasa dig deep into it and destroyed it. Everyone walked to the floating Heartless logo.
Goofy: Now let's go and seal that big Keyhole!
Leon: Sora, you did it.
Everyone heard Leon's voice and went back to the chamber. They found Aerith, Yuffie, and Leon there.
Sora: What are you guys doing here?
Yuffie: We came in Cid's ship.
Aerith: This is our childhood home. We wanted to see it again.
Leon: (Sigh) It's in worse shape than I feared. It used to be so peaceful…
Aerith: Don't worry. If we defeat Ansem, all should be restored, including your homes.
Sora: Really?!
Dolly was beyond happy until Yuffie said something.
Yuffie: But, it also means goodbye.
Aerith: Once the worlds are resorted, they'll all be separated again.
Yuffie: Everyone will go back to where they came from.
Sora: (Still happy) Then we'll visit you guys in the Ebon Hawk.
Leon: It's not that simple.
Yuffie: Before all this, neither of you know about other worlds, right?
Dolly: (Sora shaking his head no) Not in the sense we've learned.
Aerith: It's because every world is isolated in their own place. Impassible walls divided them.
Yuffie: The Heartless destroyed those walls. But if the worlds return, so will the walls.
Leon: Which means ships like the Ebon Hawk will be useless out of its own area.
Sora and Dolly finally understood the consequences of their victory.
Sora: So you're saying we'll never…?
Dolly's heart sank.
Leon: We may never meet again, but we'll never forget each other.
Aerith: No matter where we are, our hearts will bring us together again.
Sora and Dolly smiled, knowing it was the true. With a renewed spirit, Sora turned and sealed the final Keyhole.
