Legacies and Lightning: Chapter 25
1 day after the second exam ended; in Koyoi's house: With Naruto, Koyoi, Hosoi and Harui
"Omg Naruto, you clean up nice" Hosoi said to Naruto as he stood in front of a mirror.
"You think so?" Naruto said as he turned around; Naruto was wearing a salmon (dark pink) dress shirt, blue jeans rolled up to his ankles with a black leather belt and his regular blue sandals "I never worn nice cloths like this; usually I just buy cloths out of the bargain bin".
"Oh no honey, you look great" Harui said as she grabbed a spray bottle and comb and began to wet Naruto's hair before slicking it back "I got to say I'm glad Koyoi's cloths fit you; but you really need more civilian cloths".
"Oh yeah, thanks for letting me borrow your cloths Koyoi" Naruto said and Koyoi looked to him with a smile.
"Hey, what kind of friend would I be if I didn't help out" Koyoi said "besides, I'm more fashion minded than you are; I mean, you were going to wear cargo shorts…eww".
Naruto chuckled as Harui finished combing his hair "I got to admit, I'm kind of nervous; even though this is for Yuui, I hope I don't disappoint Hinata" he said.
"Although I must say it's a little unorthodox to just ask a girl out of the blue" Harui said as he brushed his hands through his long hair; Naruto sighed and nodded.
"Well it's not like girls are coming out of the wood work to go on a date with me" Naruto said.
Meanwhile in an alternate universe: After the written portion of the Chunin exams in Konoha
Sakura was walking up the stairs to Naruto's apartment door about to knock and see if he's there 'ok Sakura, don't be nervous' she thought 'Naruto asked you out dozens of times, he'll definitely say yes'.
As she reached the door she knocked a few times "hold on I'm coming" came Naruto's voice; the deadbolt unlocked and the door swung open "oh hey Sakura; what're you doing here?"
Sakura felt a blush coming and she coughed in her hand "well I was wondering if uhh…" Sakura began "the second exams doesn't begin until tomorrow; so I was wondering if you want to grab some ramen?"
"Right now?" Naruto asked and Sakura nodded "sorry I can't; I'm about to go out and eat barbecue"; Sakura's blush faded and she looked at him.
"Huh, with who?" Sakura asked.
"With me" came a voice and Sakura spun around and saw the Tenten standing there with her hair done into 2 buns that looked like panda ears, her pink Chinese dress shirt and a smile "you ready to go blondie".
"You bet" Naruto said as he walked out and locked the door; he then turned to Sakura and whispered "can you believe it; I got a date with a cute older girl". Naruto let out a goofy giggle before walking over and grabbing Tenten's hand "well can get ramen another time Sakura" he said as he led Tenten away.
Sakura was about to say something when she saw Tenten flip her the middle finger behind her back before vanishing from sight "that… bitch" Sakura said as she felt her anger rising.
Back to the story: With Naruto and Hinata
Naruto had just picked up Hinata from the hotel and was surprised at how nice she looked; Hinata wore black slacks with a light purple sweater and looked very nervous.
'Huh… has Hinata always been this cute?' Naruto thought as he and Hinata walked through the busy streets of Kumo; both of them were getting looks of both confusion and wonder as a Hyuga was walking freely through Kumo with a blonde boy who everyone presumed was a Kumo ninja. Unbeknownst to them Naruto was a Konoha ninja but they couldn't tell because of his clothing.
"S-so Naruto" Hinata said with her usual stutter "w-what restaurant are we going to?"
"Uh… not sure" Naruto said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper "its say the R-r-r". "Can you read this?" Naruto asked as he handed the note to Hinata who took it and attempted to read Yuui's handwriting.
"Rel-am-pago steam house" Hinata said with minor difficulty "what a strange name, I never heard anything like it before".
A few minutes later after following the instructions Naruto and Hinata found the steak house and saw both Yuui and Chojuro waiting outside; Yuui was wearing white pants, red heeled sandals which added another 2 inches to her already towering height, a black crop top and a blue jean jacket.
Chojuro was wearing an outfit much like Naruto's was wearing a light blue dress shirt with a white tie, grey slacks and black sandals.
"Yo, Yuui, we found…what ever this place is called" Naruto said as he and Hinata walked up.
"Oh yeah, I should've mentioned this place is named using Kumo's ancient language" Yuui said scratching her head and sticking out her tongue "you look great by the way, you actually combed your hair for once".
"Thanks, Ms. Harui did it" Naruto said and Yuui shifted her focus to Hinata who flinched at her; Hinata was less scared of her but more intimidated by her height as she towered over Hinata.
"And you look good to Hinata; that sweater really goes with your eyes" Yuui said and Hinata swallowed and spoke.
"You look good as well Lady Yuui-" Hinata began but Yuui cut her off.
"Cut it with the 'Lady' crap; we're gal pals" Yuui said making Hinata go wide eyed "just Yuui, ok Hina?"; Yuui gave Hinata a wink and all of a sudden Yuui seemed less intimidating to Hinata.
"Ok… um… Yuui" Hinata said feeling a little awkward.
"'Sup Chojuro; how you doing dude" Naruto asked Chojuro who rubbed the back of his head.
"I feel a little awkward without my sword; but other than that I feel fine" Chojuro said.
"Ok everyone; lets head in, we got reservations" Yuui said as she led everyone inside.
Meanwhile at the Raikage tower: With A, Uzui, Kakashi, Tonoi and Mayui
A sat at his desk with his hands folded in front of his face as he heard the report from Uzui, Mayui, Tonoi and Kakashi; he took in a deep breath and spoke.
"So that's all you found out?" A asked and they all nodded.
"Yes Lord Raikage" Tonoi said "that sound ninja team know and worked along side with Orochimaru; under the law if they associate with an S-class criminal they are subject to interrogation and execution".
"During the interrogation they said that there's more spies here in Kumo" Kakashi said with his hands in his pockets "they said they could be an individual or a team; but they don't know who or how many".
"Along with that they're not even sure if they passed the chunin exam" Mayui said crossing her arms "they could've been disqualified or even killed". "There's a lot more factors we don't know Lord Raikage" Mayui said.
"Goddamnit" A said as he rubbed his temples "alright then… are there any likely candidates for who might be the other team?"
Uzui stepped forward and put a large stack of papers onto A's desk "we have a rather large pool; I already eliminated those who've died or already left" she said. "There's only a few teams we can say who are one hundred percent not suspects" Uzui said and A looked at her.
"Which ones?" A asked.
"Yuui's team… and Naruto's team" Uzui said with a sigh "Naruto's…well, he's Naruto"; everyone kind of nodded as they knew Naruto well and knew he could never be a spy. "Along with that from what Kakashi told me, he killed a spy in Konoha who was working for Orochimaru several years ago" Uzui said "safe to say Naruto's not in his pocket".
"Same goes for Yakumo" Kakashi said "due to her Ido incident a couple years ago she's been going through constant and i mean constant psyche evaluations". "These also include truth and lie detection tests with our torture and interrogation department" Kakashi said "and she hasn't failed a single test".
"Crap" A said "alright, then, so in plain terms… we got nothing"; everyone nodded at this and A took in a deep breath. "Alright then; since Hiruzen isn't here to vouch for any of the Konoha genin I'll need your help Kakashi" A said and Kakashi nodded "gather up some jonin you trust and begin surveillance of anyone in the hotels; Uzui and Mayui will assist you". "I hope you understand why I'm doing this" A said.
"So that it won't look like Kumo shinobi are spying on visiting guests" Kakashi said and A nodded "alright then; I'll need Anko, Kurenai, Asuma, Guy and Hayate here to assist me".
Back with Naruto, Yuui, Hinata and Chojuro
Naruto was sitting at a table with the others and with a smile on his face; although this wasn't a happy smile, it was more of a 'I'm way over my head smile'.
"Sir, may I ask again; will you like a Pinot noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling or Malbec?" The waiter asked; Naruto's eye was twitching while Yuui, Hinata and Chojuro looked at him.
'Oh god he looks like he's about to have a stroke' Yuui thought in her mind.
'N-Naruto's…he doesn't know what any of those mean' Hinata thought as she tried to find a way to help Naruto 'oh gosh, why did the establishment have to so high classed'.
'What the hell is this guy asking, what's going on?' Naruto thought in a panic 'oh man I'm going to look like an idiot; come on Naruto say something'.
Before Naruto could say anything Chojuro came to the rescue "umm, me and him don't drink wine; what's your beer selection?" Chojuro asked and Naruto looked at him.
"Oh, we have a special tonight; a flight of beers consisting of a pale ale, ale, lager, stout, IPA and a Pilsner from one of Kumo's most famous breweries" the waiter said and Naruto looked at him.
"We'll both take one" Naruto said pointing in between himself and Chojuro.
"I'll have a Merlot" Yuui said trying to get past the awkward moment.
"Can I just have a water" Hinata asked "I'm a teetotaler".
"A what?" Naruto asked confused.
"It means she refrains from spirits sir" the waiter said "I'll be back shortly"; the waiter walked off and Naruto let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"Holy crap I had no idea what he was talking about" Naruto said before looking around "ok… so… this is a fancy restraint".
"Ummm… kind of" Yuui said making Naruto go wide eyed "this restaurant is more upscale than most but not like super high class; if it was me and Hinata would be wearing dresses and you and Chojuro would be wearing suits".
"Wow" Naruto said "you just had to pick the poorest guy in Konoha to come; man the fanciest place I've ever eaten at before this was a restaurant that folded their napkins into triangles". Naruto looked over to Hinata and spoke "sorry if I'm not exactly comfortable Hinata" he said "must be weird for a clan heiress like you to go out with a bumpkin like me".
"No it's not" Hinata said before catching herself and beginning to poke her fingers "ummm I was very flattered when you asked me; no one has ever asked me out on a date before".
Naruto was taken aback by this and smiled at Hinata "thanks Hinata, that means a lot to me" Naruto said and Hinata blushed "and I'm 'flattered' you said yes to going out with me; I mean… considering how I'm treated back in the village, my hopes weren't that high for any girl to say yes".
"Oh, don't say that Naruto" Chojuro said "you seem like a great guy; I'm sure you're a lot more popular than you think ".
"Oh yeah, the village pariah" Naruto said rolling his eyes "yeah, girls are lining up around the corner to go out on a date with me".
Meanwhile; Back in the alternate universe: After the preliminaries of the Chunin exams
Sakura was once more walking up the stairs to Naruto's apartment 'Ok Sakura, this time it'll work' she thought as she climbed the stairs 'you gotta do this before he leaves off to train for the finals'. Upon reaching the top of the stairs she saw someone already standing there "What are you doing here Ino pig?" Sakura said and Ino jolted.
"Forehead, what're you doing here?" Ino asked and Sakura marched up.
"I asked you first" Sakura said and Ino huffed as she brushed her blonde bang out of her face.
"I'm here to ask out Naruto for a date" Ino proclaimed and Sakura's jaw dropped "after seeing him beat Kiba I thought… well". "Ok, so how he won was kind of gross but still I'm asking him out" Ino said before she knocked on Naruto's door "so you're too late billboard brow".
"Hold on I'm coming" Naruto voice said through the door.
"There's no way he'd go your with you bitch" Sakura said as she got into Ino's face "Naruto's always been into me; not stuck up bimbo's like you".
"What did you call me you flat chested hussy" Ino growled as both she and Sakura literally butted heads; suddenly the door opened up and Ino pushed Sakura away and turned. "Hey Naruto, how's it going; do you wanna- what the hell are you wearing?" Ino said as Sakura ran up and went wide eyed.
Naruto stood in the door wearing blue jeans with a belt that had a large Konoha symbol belt buckle, brown cowboy boots, a orange plaid shirt with a bolo tie and a black cowboy hat.
"Oh hey Sakura and… Ino?" Naruto said confused "umm, what are you guys doing here?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me; Sakura was just leaving to a gynecologist appointment" Ino said and Sakura gave Ino a death glare.
'You cunt' Sakura thought seething in rage now.
"Sorry I can't; I have a date" Naruto said making both Sakura and Ino go wide eyed.
"Huh, but Tenten is still in the hospital after what that Suna girl did" Sakura said and Naruto nodded.
"No, not her" Naruto said before pointing behind them "her"; Sakura and Ino spun around and their jaws dropped.
Hana Inuzuka stood there wearing a red plaid shirt, blue jean skirt, black cowboy boots and a white straw cowgirl hat "hey there handsome; you ready for the rodeo?"
"Hell yeah" Naruto said as he closed the door "man this is gonna be awesome; bull riding, brisket, square dancing".
"Woah, woah, woah; hold up for a second" Ino said "Naruto just beat up your brother in the chunin exams".
Hana hearing this laughed "oh yeah, winning by a fart to the face; fucking hysterical" she said holding her stomach "mom is back home hazing Kiba for losing like that". Naruto blushed in embarrassment from Hana bringing up how he won and then spoke.
"Hana came yesterday to talk to me about it; mostly to make fun of Kiba" Naruto said "one thing led to another and now… we're going on a date". Naruto walked by Sakura and Ino and wrapped his arm around Hana "lets go darlin'; don't wanna be late now" Naruto said in a fake western accent.
Hana smiled and looked back at Sakura and Ino "suck it bitches" Hana said as she and Naruto went off.
Sakura and Ino were left there fuming as they saw Naruto walk off with Hana "no… fucking… way" they both said at the same time.
Back to the story: With Yakumo
Yakumo was walking through the streets of Kumo trying to find a place to eat 'oh… I wish Naruto was here; he usually picks the restaurants' she thought.
As she continue to walk she head a voice behind herself "hey Yakumo"; Yakumo turned around and saw Lee walking quickly towards her "how're you doing this fine evening".
Yakumo's heart began to race as Lee walked towards her at a fast pace "L-Lee?" Yakumo said "I'm fine, how are you?"
"I'm excellent Yakumo; I just got done doing my evening training and was planning on getting some food" Lee said with a smile plastered on his face "What about you Yakumo?"
Yakumo swallowed hard and spoke "I-I'm also looking for food too; but I'm not that familiar with this part of the village" she said.
"Oh, well what a coincidence" Lee said with his smile still on his face "just around the corner is a very good curry restaurant; do you want to eat with me?"
Yakumo's brain went into over drive and before she could even realize it herself she spoke "that sounds nice" she said but immediately wanted to take it back.
"Great lets go" Lee said as he grabbed her hand and began to lead her to the restaurant.
Yakumo had a flurry of emotions inside herself as she went with Lee; on one hand she was nervous, but on another she was happy.
'Am-am I going on a date right now?' Yakumo thought 'maybe I should've joined Naruto and Yuui'.
With Naruto, Yuui, Hinata and Chojuro
Naruto's mouth was watering as one of the waiters sliced off a sliver of steak onto his plate; Naruto didn't know this but the restaurant was one where guys walk around with different meats on a skewer.
The waiters then come over and slice off a piece of what ever kind of steak they wanted until they said 'I'm good'; the waiter with his large carving knife dropped the sliver onto Naruto's plate.
"One slice of medium rare sirloin for the gentleman" the waiters said with a smile.
"Thanks dude" Naruto said as he grabbed his chop sticks and put the steam into his mouth; the meat exploded into a cascade of juices and he chewed 'Oh.My.God'.
Yuui was using a knife and fork to cut up some lamb and at the same time was talking to Chojuro "-so yeah, I never really picked up on swordsmanship; my daddy tried but I'm more comfortable using taijutsu" she said.
Chojuro sipped one of his beers and nodded "it's completely understandable" he said "kenjutsu isn't for everyone; it takes a lifetime to master it properly". "So what about your hobbies; do you have any?" Chojuro asked and Yuui nodded.
"Oh yeah I totally do" Yuui said as she put down her utensils and began to count on her fingers "I like video games, horror movies, working out, reading manga, paint ball; I'm not super into girly stuff".
"Yeah, you should see her room" Naruto said finishing his steak "she literally has no pink or frilly stuff in it at all"; upon saying this Chojuro and Hinata looked at him.
"You've been in her room?" Chojuro said surprised "you and her… a boy and girl".
Both Naruto and Yuui looked at him confused "uh… yeah" Yuui said "why wouldn't I; me and Naruto have been friends since like forever". "I mean we haven't seen each other in years but our friendship is as strong as ever" Yuui said proudly.
"Damn straight" Naruto said and the both of them fist bumped; Naruto then turned to Hinata and spoke "what about you Hinata; you into girlie stuff or nah?"
"Well… I like to press flowers, knit and sew, scrap book and bake sweets" Hinata said and Chojuro looked at her.
"Oh really?" Chojuro said "do you like cinnamon rolls and donuts; those are my favorite"; Hinata looked at him and and smiled.
"Why, yes, I do like cinnamon rolls" Hinata said with a smile; both Hinata and Chojuro began to talk about sweets and Naruto leaned over to Yuui and whispered.
"Look at this; our two dates are becoming friends" Naruto said and Yuui nodded and gave him a thumbs up.
Another waiter came by spoke "would any of you like to try our Wagyu ramen?" He asked as he produced a tray with multiple small bowls of steaming ramen. Both Naruto and Yuui's eyes sparkled and they raised their hands and he put down two bowls.
Naruto and Yuui grabbed their chop sticks and took a mouthful of noodles and slurped them down 'so good' Naruto and Yuui thought at the same time.
'Man this date's going awesome' Naruto thought 'I'm hanging out with Yuui, eating good food; this is great'. 'Man, if only I was able to go on a date before this; who knows how fun it could've been back in Konoha?' Naruto thought as he put a slice of Wagyu beef into his mouth.
Back in the alternate dimension for the third time: One month the chunin exam finals and the Tsunade search mission
"Out of the way Ino pig" Sakura shouted as she knocked Ino to the side while trying to go up the stairs to Naruto's apartment "I've been waiting for this since forever".
"Back off billboard brow; I'm getting Naruto this-" Ino began until Sakura tripped her and rushed up the stairs.
"Ha, suck it Ino- oh what the hell, Hinata?" Sakura said as she saw Hinata trying to gain the courage to knock on the door; Hinata spun around and looked at her "what're you… you know what, no; this is the third time this happened and the jokes getting old".
Ino finally made it up the stairs "oh no, no freaking way; you better not be asking Naruto out" Ino said; Hinata began to blush and stutter.
"I-I-I" Hinata stuttered out "I'm sorry"; Hinata began to rapidly knock on the door. "Naruto, Naruto, Naruto" Hinata repeated.
"Oh come on; can't a guy get some peace" Naruto said from the other side of the door, just as Sakura and Ino rushed over just as the door opened "Hey Sakura, Ino… Hinata?"; Naruto looked confused. "What's-" Naruto began and Sakura cut him off.
"Naruto… be honest" Sakura began "Are.You.Free?"; all 3 girls looked at him intently and Naruto began to sweat nervously.
"No?" Naruto said not getting what's going on.
"Oh great, do you have another date?" Ino said and Naruto nodded "who is it this time; that blonde Suna girl?"
"That brunette from the ramen shop?" Hinata asked.
"Wait, don't tell me it's Lady Tsunade" Sakura asked
Naruto looked at them in order "no, no and ew no… Grandma Tsunade is like a billion years old".
"Well then who?" Sakura asked.
"Hey Naruto" came a voice that Sakura and Ino didn't recognize but Hinata did; they all spun around and saw Hanabi standing there wearing an anime shirt with magical girls on it "you ready for the 'Cyber Samurai Magic Force' movie?"
"You bet" Naruto said as he walked out and locked the door.
"Oh my freaking god" Sakura said slapping her forehead.
"Nooooo" Ino said not believing it.
"H-Hanabi?" Hinata asked as her soul began to leave her body.
"What the hell Naruto; she's not even a ninja yet" Sakura said.
"Hey, our age gap is closer than mine with Hana" Naruto said "I mean I'm thirteen and she's ten".
"That's not even the issue here" Sakura said.
"Hey look we're going out; so can we talk later" Naruto said as he walked by them "I promise we'll hang out later". "Lets go Hanabi; I wanna get good seats" Naruto said as he took her hand.
Hanabi passed Hinata and whispered "can you believe it; I got a boyfriend before you did" she said not realizing that Naruto was her sisters crush.
As they left all 3 girls looked at them.
"Oh come on" Sakura groaned.
"This is bull crap" Ino said.
"This world shall know Pain" Hinata said in a dark and absent minded voice; both Sakura and Ino looked at her.
"Uh… Hinata" Sakura said slightly worried; Hinata shook her head and looked at her.
"Oh sorry-I" Hinata began until she began to poke her finger "umm… do either of you know a good therapist?"
Back to the main story (this is the last one I swear): With Kakashi
Kakashi was on over watch, looking at the hotel he and his team was staying at during their time in Kumo; this hotel was full of Konoha, Iwa, Kiri and Taki teams. The hotel on the other side of town was where the other foreign teams were staying; that was the hotel where the Suna, Ame, Oto and Kusa teams were staying.
In a matter of days the ones who were eliminated will be leaving so until then Kakashi was keeping overwatch and looking for anyone suspicious; everything was going well until Kakashi heard a almost silent foot step behind himself.
"Hello there Ms.Suzui" Kakashi said and Suzui stopped in her tracks.
"Keen ears you have there" Suzui said impressed and Kakashi chuckled.
"It was actually your smell" Kakashi said with an unseen eye smile "goat milk and sea salt?"
"Well I'll be; you guessed my soap correctly" Suzui said with a smile as she took a knee next to Kakashi "so what is your sexy ass doing up her?"
Kakashi hearing this looked to the side and saw Suzui with a smirk on her face "flirting with me to get my guard down?" Kakashi asked "or a genuine complement?"
"A little bit of both honey" Suzui said with a wink; suddenly her playful demeanor was gone and she spoke "so, anyone suspicious?"
'Heh, I guess Kumo has it's own Anko?' Kakashi thought "no, some of the genin going out to eat, conversing or relaxing in their rooms"..
"Ain't that a shame; I was hoping for a little meet and greet" Suzui said as she sat down "nothing I love more getting my babies bloody"; Suzui tapped her tonfa's and Kakashi chuckled.
'Yep… Kumo's Anko' Kakashi thought "don't worry Suzui; you'll get your chance"; suddenly out of the corner of Kakashi's eye he spotted a blot of orange. "Huh?" Kakashi said.
"What is it?" Suzui said excited.
"Oh nothing; just Naruto and the Raikage daughter with their dates" Kakashi said and Suzui looked curious "I guess the date went well".
Down below: With Naruto, Yuui, Hinata and Chojuro
Naruto and his group were moving towards the hotel after getting done with their double date; Naruto and Yuui in particular were completely full and feeling tired.
Naruto patted his swollen stomach and grinned "Man that was some good food" Naruto said as he walked side by side with Hinata "Did you like it Hinata; I didn't see you eat that much?"
Hinata sweat dropped and spoke "um, Naruto; you ate as much as three grown men" she said before looking to Yuui "and she ate as much as four".
"Hey, with how expensive that place was I was gonna eat my moneys worth" Yuui said with a smile and a shrug "besides, that cheese cake was amazing; I thought I was gonna pop".
"Well I had a nice time Chojuro said; and thankfully we didn't have to pay" Chojuro said and Naruto chuckled
"Yep, all on Yuui's dad's dime" Naruto said "I gotta thank him the next time I see him".
As the group reached the front of the hotel Naruto stood in front of Hinata while Yuui stood in front of Chojuro
"Hey Hinata" Naruto began with a light blush and rubbing the back of his head "thanks for going out with me and stuff; you're awesome". Hinata smiled softly at this and spoke.
"I-I appreciate it Naruto" Hinata said as she began to poke her fingers together "umm, maybe when we get back to Konoha, we can umm…". Hinata swallowed hard and spoke "maybe we can… go on another one?"
Naruto was taken aback by this 'wait, another date?' Naruto thought 'd-does she like me?'; Naruto just gave her a smile and nodded.
"Sure, sounds great" Naruto said and Hinata upon hearing this smiled.
'Oh my gosh, does Hinata like Naruto?' Yuui thought suppressing a giggle 'well she has a good eye; he's like the best guy I know'. Yuui refocused on Chojuro and spoke "I had a lot of fun too Chojuro; even though this date was arranged, I think you're a great guy" Chojuro blushed and rubbed the back of his head.
"Thank you Yuui" Chojuro said "I'm glad everything's worked out; and I can't wait until I tell Lady Mizukage the news". After a few more words and goodbyes were exchanged Hinata and Chojuro went inside and both Naruto and Yuui began to walk away.
As they walked away towards the Raikage manor both Naruto and Yuui were bursting with energy "hoho man, my first date; and it didn't go to hell" he said "and Chojuro seems like a great guy for you Yuui; maybe he's the one you can marry?"
"Maybe, we'll see" Yuui said "but what I'm really interested in is you and Hinata; I think this date maybe be the start of something between you two".
"I don't know… maybe" Naruto said with a smile "hot damn, nothing could ruin this night".
Meanwhile on the other side of the village: With Gaara
Gaara was sitting on the top of a building wanting to be away from everyone else; so far he's been disappointed with the chunin exams. He only killed a team during the first exam and none during the second; all this waiting was making him stand on edge and he was hoping for an opportunity to kill.
Gaara's head pulsed and he grabbed his head "I am sorry mother" Gaara said to no one in particular "please be patient, I'll find someone to kill; don't be upset, I'll-". Gaara stopped when he felt a presence and he slowly turned around and saw who it was.
There was a girl standing there; she was about 14 or 15 and had long dark pink/reddish hair that seemed odd. She wore a black shirt hidden under a short sleeved tan tunic with the kanji for '4' on the hem, a purple rope like belt around her waist ties into a knot on her back; and most peculiar to Gaara for some reason was the black hat that had pipe like stripes and bandaged sides.
"Hey fucker" the girls said in a crude tone "you Gaara of Suna?"
Gaara glared at her and got to his feet "so what if I am?" Gaara said as his sand began to swirl around him "do you wish to die?"; the girl didn't say anything, she just took out a flute and began to blow into it.
Before Gaara could do anything his world began to morph and shift in front of his eyes 'What is this; what's going on?' Gaara thought as his vision began to go dark until there was nothing but blackness.
Gaara collapsed onto the roof and immediately all around him his sand began to slash around wildly; the girl keyed a mic on her radio and spoke "This is Tayuya; target's under the genjutsu, I'm gonna get the fuck out of here" Tayuya said as she began to run across the roof tops towards the rally point. 'I hope my genjutsu doesn't wear off' Tayuya thought as she ran 'I heard these Jinchuriki fucks are a lot more resilient than normal people'.
Meanwhile; at the other hotel: With Anko, Kurenai and Tonoi
Anko, Kurenai and Tonoi were all watching the hotel from the roof trying to see in anyone was doing anything suspicious; so far there hasn't been much movement and those who were milling about were either talking or heading out to eat.
"Kami, I'm bored" Anko whined "why the hell did we get picked to do this?"
Kurenai looked at her and spoke "I thought you'd be excited to possibly stick it to Orochimaru" Kurenai said "I mean… if we catch a spy, then you'd be one of the ones interrogating him".
Anko hearing this smiled and looked to the sky "that would be nice" she said.
"I swear, you remind me so much of Suzui" Tonoi said "if you two ever hand out then I'd fear for-"; Tonoi was cut off by the sound of a loud crash and bang from off to the west. Tonoi, Anko and Kurenai all turned their heads and went wide eyed.
Kurenai in particular felt a fear she hasn't felt in a long time; the last time she felt this scared was 13 years ago, but now it's come back full circle as once more she was looking at a Biju.
The One Tailed Tanuki, Shukaku stood in the western part of the village towering over several of the nearby smaller mountains; Shukaku opened his eyes and looked around before opening it's mouth and booming.
"I'M FREE, FREE, HAHAHA" Shukaku roared as he spun around and used his tail to smack a building off the side of a mountain "I'M GONNA CRUSH YOU PUNY HUMANS LIKE THE INSECTS YOU ARE; HAHAHA".
"Oh… shit" Anko said wide eyed and mouth agape; suddenly it popped into her head as she grabbed Kurenai and shouted in her face "WHERE THE HELL IS NARUTO?"
At the Raikage Manor: With Naruto and Yuui
Naruto and Yuui were just about to enter the mansion when they heard and saw Shukaku begin his rampage in the western portion of the village. Naruto and Yuui's mouths hung open as they saw this; suddenly Yuui snapped out of it and looked to Naruto.
"Holy shit" Yuui said gaining Naruto's attention "Naruto, we gotta go and help; we need to help the civilians"; Naruto heairng this nodded.
"You're right" Naruto said as he took off his shirt and threw it to the side; under his dress shirt he wore a white muscle shirt and to Yuui's surprise Naruto had a horizontal holster on the belt of his pants. Naruto popped it open and took out the 'Sword of the Thunder God' and activated it, the yellow lightning blade shooting out and giving off a light hum "good thing I kept this on me" Naruto said before looking at Yuui "let's kick some ass".
At the same time Naruto and Yuui activated their lightning cloaks with Naruto glowing red and Yuui glowing white; the next moment they both dashed off to the west to stop the rampaging Biju.
