After having looked over the empty rooms with B, Charoite had decided to pick an empty room which happened to be next to Arcee's. She fantasized about how she was going to decorate. Maybe a large Megatronus Prime decal above her sleeping pod, and maybe some patterned decal could run at the bottoms and tops of the walls.

Then again, she wasn't supposed to be here long. She had a job to do. The Decepticons had been so kind to her and saved her life, and she agreed to return the favor by discovering the Autobots' secrets. Sure, the Autobots seemed nice so far, but they were being run by someone who threw his friend out of Iacon City and took over! Yes, it was too far for Megatron to kill Sentinel, and Charoite still grieved, but Megatron was supporting a future where nobody would be deceived again. Where no bots' lives would be ruined with lies.

"You made a really good choice! Great floor space!" B ran into the room. "Even more, since you're on the short side! I am too, but my room isn't as big. Oh! I could see some kind of decal above the sleeping pod! That space there is just begging for one!" B squinted and held his fingers up in 'L' shapes.

"Huh! You read my mind!" Charoite replied, "So, is being a big deal in Iacon treating you better than it's treating me?"

"Yeah! Definitely!" B grinned and nodded. His face dropped as he looked to the side. "I mean, I'm sorry about what's happening to you; I was just saying that—"

"—It's okay." Charoite smiled. "I'm happy you're doing well."

"Well, I don't get approached by bots every time I go somewhere, but sometimes they'll call my name and we'll talk for a bit. Or they'll just wave. It happens more when I'm with Optimus."

"Well, he's the new leader of Iacon, so I bet! He totally earned the Matrix for a reason!"

Charoite flinched. Earned?

"Anyway, I was thinking, since those bots chased after you, and there's might be all these bots out there like them, maybe you should have some kind of designated partner or buddy to go with you when you go somewhere? Just until the heat dies down? Hope it will soon, but I don't know how soon; I mean, Sentinel really messed things up for a lot of bots!"

"Honestly, I was kinda thinking the same thing," Charoite gave B a nod. "Until my haters start realizing how awesome I am again." She grabbed her face. "Ugh! I hope I won't get booed when I run in the Iacon 5000."

"I hope you don't either! So, I was thinking, maybe I could be your 'going somewhere buddy?' I mean, it doesn't HAVE to be me, it's fine if it isn't. I mean, Optimus doesn't really give me a lot to do, so—"

"—Do you want to be my 'going somewhere buddy?'" Charoite raised an eyebrow and smiled.

"Yes!" B pointed and nodded.

"Well, okay!" Charoite extended her palm. "Going somewhere buddies!"

B high-fived her. "Going somewhere buddies!"

B extended his arms. "Hug?"

"Yeah!" Charoite gave B a firm hug.

Bzzzzzz! Bzzzzzzz!

Startled, Charoite broke the hug as she felt a vibration in her chest plate. She opened it and saw her holographic device was vibrating.

"What's that thing?" B squinted at the device.

"Oh, uh…it's a holographic device! I gotta kick you out, sorry! This is a private call!"

"Private call?" B asked as Charoite ushered him out.

"Yeah! With a…my therapist! Doctor/patient confidentiality, you know! See you later, B!" Charoite slid her door shut and pushed the lock shut. She briefly wondered if she could actually use some therapy. She wasn't sure if Megatron was a good substitute.

Charoite pressed the button on the bottom, assuming it also answered calls and not just make them. A projection of Megatron shone from the light on top. She put the device on the floor.

"Hey, Meg—uh, you!" Charoite was weary of bots possibly hearing her. "Thought I was supposed to give YOU daily updates!"

"Thought I should call you first on your first day," answered Megatron, "Remind you what you're here for."

"Yeah, I'll get the…information, don't worry!" Charoite winked and pointed with both hands. "I'm just getting settled into the Autobot base, which feels good after being chased by a bunch of bots who think I'm a traitor!"

Megatron's eyes flashed. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay, but I'm still a little shaken up."

"Glad to hear." Megatron briefly smiled. "I'll let you get re-acquainted with Iacon. Stay alert."

"Oh, by the way, I'm just wondering…I heard Optimus earned the Matrix? I thought it was something that just had to be found?"

Megatron rolled his eyes. "Ugh. Somehow, Primus saw it fitting to give him the Matrix. I learned that even Primus can make mistakes sometimes. I'm glad the energon is back, but the Matrix would have been better in more capable, less selfish hands. Anyway, have a good day." The projection shut off.

Charoite was floored. She never heard anyone so blatantly object to Primus' judgement before. Could he make mistakes? Should Megatron have gotten the Matrix of Leadership? Was Megatron somehow a victim of circumstance? Sure, Megatron wasn't as warm and nice as Optimus, but he was really hurt by Optimus. If the Decepticons weren't worth helping, they wouldn't have saved her life!

Charoite however felt she could trust B more than Optimus. He wasn't Optimus. He was a bubbly, friendly bot who probably was easy to fool. Hence his working for Optimus. Charoite was happy to have B as an ally for the time being. She felt a bit of regret for going behind his back.
