When Guy woke up, Rissa was still asleep. He got up, left the room and went down the stairs, careful not to wake the scary Damon guy. His head hurt a lot, but that, as Rissa explained, was because he was in transition.
Guy entered the kitchen quietly and found scary Damon guy making pancakes. Shirtless. He quickly took a step back:
-Sorry! Sorry! I didn't know you were gonna… especially…- Damon glared at him. Guy got scared. Is he gonna punch him? He looked like he wanted to punch him. If he looked like he wanted to punch him now, what will he look like when he finds out the reason he came here is to bite his wife?! He should really calm down. He made a calm face. Damon didn't.
He figured that Rissa would get up soon and closed the blinds, so the sunlight wouldn't get in. He missed his mom… she probably thinks he's dead. Wait… he IS dead!
Rissa came in, her hair all over the place. Damon chuckled:
-Morning, Kitten!
-Shut up!- Damon laughed harder:
-Coffee's on the counter!
-Ugh, I don't want coffee!- this was another problem. Her parents' house didn't have blood bags, because, you know, why would it? Aunt Caroline's should. But she can't leave the house during the day. Great.
The door opened and he came in. Exactly the way Rissa remembered him. The brown hair, the blue eyes, the smile. His dad's old, red jacket that he'd always wear, and she'd always tell him to stop wearing it, that it was ugly and that no one ever understood what the "M" on it stood for. He just said it stood for "Mystic Falls" and kept wearing it. Maybe it was because he liked it. Maybe it was because he liked hearing her say she hates it. Either way, he was here. Vik.
-Riss!- he smiled. -What are you doing here?
-Oh, just visiting Dad.
-Even though Dad didn't invite anyone!- Damon mumbled.
-Anyway,- Rissa rolled her eyes. -How are you? How's life? How's… Vivi.
-Oh, yeah, about her…- Vik said, sounding kind of sad.
-Vik,- Marissa looked at him. -Did… did something happen to Vivi?- she asked with just a tiny bit too much excitement, though she could see he didn't notice. She could also see that Damon did, because of the way he smirked at the question. Vik sighed:
-No, no, she's fine. It's just that, she… she moved.
-Moved?
-Yeah, to Peru.
-To Peru?!- Marissa asked, again, seeming to happy. Damon's smirk widened. -So, are you, like, trying long-distance?
-No. She ended it.- Ended it. Ended it. Vivian ended it. Vivian moved to Peru and ended it. If she heard this a month ago, she would be the happiest person on the planet. Of course, not now, because her humanity is off and she has no emotions, but still… VIVIAN MOVED TO PERU AND ENDED IT!
Rissa always hated Vivian. Elena always said that she didn't hate Vivi herself, just the fact that she was with Vik. But that wasn't true. She didn't hate Vivian because she was Vik's girlfriend, she hated Vivian because she was Vivian. She was mean. She was always there. It was annoying. Vivi was annoying. She didn't deserve Vik.
Yeah, Rissa had a major childhood crush on Vik. He was a year younger and always her best friend. When she was 13 and he was 12, she understood she was in love with him. She didn't immediately confess. She wondered for a long time before she did and then she didn't. It was more like, she was planning to, but then she showed up. Little Vivi, new in town. Stupid Vivi. Stupid "I-heard-your-dad-was-the-sheriff" Vivi. And he dated her. For 5 years. And now… she left. She ended it. Vik was single.
-Who's that?- he asked, pointing at Guy. Damon smirked:
-Rissa's boyfriend.
-Thanks, Dad.- Marissa muttered. Vik may have been single, but she, apparently, wasn't. But it was fine. Her emotions were off. She didn't care.
