Guy was on the floor, panting. He's never felt so horrible in his life before. He was in tears. It didn't hurt anymore, at least he thought it didn't. He wasn't sure. He looked around, remembering he was in Rissa's apartment. There was no serious damage, but things were all over the place, including an upside down table.

-We don't really ever use it, anyway.- he heard Rissa whisper. Did she read his mind? -Not exactly. I got into your head.

-That's weird…- he trailed off.

-Maybe a little. Are you okay?

-How long was I… that?

-About four hours.

-Wow. It's all such a blur.

-Same, actually.- she said.

He remembered turning. It was painful, yes. It was much harder for him to understand what happened after he turned. He remembers running, remembers Rissa's voice telling him that it's okay, but he couldn't tell what happened and when it happened. He could see that Marissa was smiling. He took that as a sign he didn't hurt her.

Guy carefully sat up.

-How are you feeling?

-Fine, I guess. It just hurt at first.

-Does it still hurt?

-I thought you could read my mind.

-I'll take that as a "no."

He let out a small laugh. Then another one, upon realising he had no clothes on. He didn't really care at the moment. At the moment, he was just glad it's over. Glad that he's never gonna have to become a wolf again.

-Is your sister going to get mad? I mean, this place looks terrible.

-Ah, it's about what she expects.

-You told her about me?

-Nah, but she left me alone in the apartment. Must mean she doesn't mind the mess.

-That's… interesting.

-You know,- Rissa smirked, changing the topic. -You look great in fur.

He laughed again, harder than before. As long as Rissa was there to say something like that, he didn't really care if he was a person or a wolf. Or a vampire. Or all three. She'd always be able to make a joke like that and he'd forget all about who he is. He'd only remember her. That was the only thing important to him at the moment. At the moment…

His mom often told him that he should never disregard a moment. He never really knew what she meant by that until now. Until this moment, when he looked into Rissa's big, beautiful, brown eyes. Until this moment, when she placed a hand on his shoulder. Until this moment, when he was ready to forget every mean thing she ever said to him. Until this moment, when nothing else mattered. Until this moment, when she kissed him.

She slightly pulled away. He whispered:

-Thank you for staying with me.

-Well, thank you for not biting me.

He chuckled:

-What do you mean?

-A werewolf bite. It's fatal to a vampire.

He pulled away further:

-Wait, what?!

-Guy, it's okay, you didn't bite me…

-No! No, Rissa, it's not okay!

He got up and made his way to the door, putting on his (thankfully long) jacket and shoes.

-Where are you going?

-Home.

-Why? Why are you even upset?

-I told you to run, Rissa. That's the last thing I clearly remember. And when I did, I didn't even have the faintest idea this could be fatal to you. You knew. And you still didn't run.

-Yeah, because I care about you!- she was yelling now.

-Too much, apparently,- he said through tears. -You risked your life. If you weren't there, nothing would've changed. This… this was just reckless.

-Get out!- she yelled, showing her fangs.

With that, he left. He wanted to go back. Not to Rissa's place. To that moment.
