A Military helicopter flew along, following the chemically scorched earth left behind by this new beast that had been making its way north. It had slunk all the way up to Argentina, smoking out villages and decimating landscapes.

Even this high up all personnel had been ordered to wear gas masks to protect from the fumes. The creature was becoming more and more of a threat as time went on and that was soon going to be a big problem for everyone as the so-called Smog Monster was approaching the city of Buenos Aires.

(for those who don't know that's Argentina's capital)

"We are approaching the monster," the chopper pilot spoke into the comms, " location -34.935 -59.578."

The dark mass of the Smog Monster neared the reconnaissance team. Some photographers and social media personalities had gotten pictures of the heavily wounded creature after its tussle with the armed forces, its brain even exposed, poking out the top of its head. But now, the creature looked relatively untouched. its skin had healed over extremely quickly, the only evidence of the scuffle were patches of dirt.

"Roger that" said the guy on the other end of the radio, " what is the length estimate,"

It was roughly noon so the pilot used the shadow of the aircraft to estimate length.

"Around 60 metres," she counted, "and probably around 20 metres tall at the head from what I can see."

Back at Monarch, this information was flowing into the meating room along with live footage of the creature.

"I knew they should have killed this thing while they could!" Stanton cried, pinching the bridge of his nose, "and now I have to spend days of my life analysing its god awful roar."

As if on cue the creature looked up at the copter and roared its classic eardrum scratching call. Stanton winced.

"Not to seem insensitive, but we have more important things to worry about than your enjoyment of your work life," said Ross (he's the boss man if you forgot), "this beast is now at sub-titan size and is showing no signs of stopping, it just eats everything."

"Any clues on where this titan came from?" Ilene Chen asked.

"We have run a few DNA Tests," Andrews explained," but they seem to have produced unreliable results because they show that Hedorah or Hedoro if you want the code name is related to axolotls, Amhuluk, humans, and a mess of other assorted creatures. So the DNA probably broke the DNA analyser with its complexity or some unique trait."

"Nomatter what it's made of, we need to pacify this monster now," decreed Ross ,"I'm glad that the Argentinian government is finally taking this seriously. Is that all for now."

All the scientists looked around at each other and nodded.

"Well, then, meeting was dismissed."

As all the specialists filed out the room, Mark russell was shutting down his laptop which he had been using for taking notes.

"Hey, what's that," asked Dr Ling Chen, pointing at a file, slap bang in the middle of Mark's desktop with an image of Mothra as the icon.

"I... I don't know."

He read the file name:"the mothra plan"and intrigued he opened it. It was a simple undecorated PDF with some bullet points down the side.

Everybody stopped in their tracks and then crowded around the laptop.

"Ok, the meeting continues," said Ross sitting back down," put this "Mothra plan" up on the screen."

Mark connected to the projector and a view of the PDF was projected to the room. The room was dead silent for a few seconds as they all contemplated what had been put on the screen.

"Quick question," Rick Stanton asked ,"Why didn't you mention this sooner."

"I... I didn't write this," Mark admitted ," I have no recollection of this."

"Well evidently you did make it. Maybe you had a few too many and forgot all about this'' Stanton suggested

"You know I don't drink like that anymore Rick."

"Nevermind that," Ling Chen dismissed, "this here could set the world back in balance,"

"What!' 'Ilene Andrews questioned ,"when has releasing titans ever been a good idea! The first time it happened Monster Zero almost took over the world and when we brought Kong out of his island it started this titanomachy. We don't stop chaos by adding another variable."

"But this will return things to the way they were!" ilene Chen argued calmly , "it will return the world the way it was."

"What, you mean returning it to a peaceful lack of titans or a prehistoric jungle where radiation is too high to survive and the titans reign supreme." Stanton said sarcastically

"Silence," Ross commanded sternly, "while it is certainly an interesting idea you have no solid evidence to back it, we'd just be adding another monster to the mix and hailing mary."

What would Serizawa say!" Ling Chen yelled slamming her fist on the table, "you arrogant fools! You think we can stop this alone. We couldn't stop one titan, let alone twenty. Nature will find a way!"

She then stormed out the room

Her sister promptly jumped out of her chair and ran after her. Everyone sat in silence for a few seconds wondering what would happen next.

Ross buried his face in his hands, he could see why his post wasn't the most sought after. The world was actively falling apart around him and there was nothing he could do.
