Chapter 65: Kappei's Birthday!
On September 16 which is on a Monday...
School is over and in the homeroom of Class 2-A, "We got a few hours to set things up for the party!" Archie briefed everyone as they began the decorating.
Harry, Declan and Kolton are blowing balloons, Miyumi and Lucia are working on a banner, Nichelle is setting up the buffet table with the help from Shane and Bull and finally, a portal opened up with Dedrick emerging from it alongside Yamikage and Hank.
"Right on time to leave our presents." Dedrick told Archie.
"Leave them at the corner over there. Midori and Vega are arranging the presents." He told them and they complied.
"Hey where's Emma and Kurt?" Nichelle asked.
"They're working on something at town." Archie answered and it cuts to Kurt's family restaurant as he and Ema are baking a birthday cake together. "A lot of chocolate and coffee cream for this special treat." said Kurt.
"Everyone is preparing for this day. Right now, Davis is keeping him busy and at the same time, they got kendo club activities." said Emma as they worked through this. "Even so, all the chairs and tables are rearranged to be cleared for space in our classroom."
"Might be a big party and I bet the others from the other classes want to join the celebration." said Kurt as he measured the flour and sugar while Emma does the preparation and baking.
Meanwhile...
"And always keep your elbows straight." Kappei briefed the club members as they listened to him. There are about 4 freshmen starting their first day in this club as they listened to Kappei explain the way of the sword via a slideshow in a room. After that, they each have a kendo and began the training with Davis supervising them at the training area. "I wanna see the strokes you rookie mates!"
"Yes sir!" They replied as they swung their kendos for the basic attack training. An hour later, "Okay mates! We're done for today! See you on the next club activity!" Davis announced as the trainees went to change back to their casual attires. Kappei, Davis and a few of their peers which are at the same school year as them began cleaning up the dojo.
A few minutes later, "Alright mate, we're done here." said Davis.
"Man you sure know how to train those boys properly in their form and technique. No wonder Austin nominated you to be the club leader." Kappei told him.
"And too bad because of that, I'm better than you mate."
"What the frick? No way! I'm better than you!"
"No I am better than you mate!"
"I'm better than you twice!"
"I'm better at you thrice mate!"
"Well I-"
"GIVE IT UP NOW FRESHMAN!"
"Huh?" Their bickering was interrupted by something outside so at the drop of the hat, they packed up and left the dojo with Davis locking the door. "And it was just near us to our left." Kappei pointed out. Yup, 3 boys are harassing a freshman as, "Well? Give us your credits!"
"Yeah you stupid nerd! Give it all or we'll crush your body!"
"B-B-But I need them for my...school meals! I...I can't do it!"
"Fine...prepare to-"
"BZZZZZK!"
At that moment, all 3 got shocked and they passed out as, "Nice shot mate!" Davis commented.
"When will people learn to stop harassing the weak and vulnerable.." Kappei asked when, "Kuryu! You saw that?"
They gulped as, "How dare you attack 3 of my classmates...INSOLENT SHITHEADS!" Kuryu sure is pissed as Sid smirked. "Anyone in Kuryu's class who gets attacked anyone outside are going to be dead meat. Nab them!"
Out of nowhere, 5 students appeared and grabbed the boys. "Take them outside at the football field! Good thing I finished my football practice and I could use some pummeling!" Kuryu ordered. "And Sid, gather all of Class 3-A."
"Gotcha."
At the football field...
"OOF!" The boys are thrown onto the field as, "You've made a grave mistake in having your peers to pick on the weaker students and trying to brawl with us." Kappei warned Kuryu as he and Davis got back on their feet.
"And you made a grave mistake by beating me in the past. I never lose to anyone or anything in my life until this moment! It's the one thing I will never forgive you for." Kuryu replied.
"Perfection won't make you a perfect ninja. Everyone makes mistakes or fails in something. But do they wallow in self pity or spiral into depression? No! They get back on their feet, try again, persevere and succeed in the end." Kappei replied angering Kuryu furthermore.
"Damn mate. You speak reason but we're also heavily outnumbered." said Davis.
"Yeah. His entire class is gathered to wage war on us." He replied as he observed Kuryu's classmates. Sid, his right hand man has Iron Balls. The other boys have Body Blade, Hulking Beast, Ferrokinesis, Chimera, Mummification, Monster Army, Teleportation, two have Mouth Laser, Force Field, Crystal Body, Slow Motion, Shoulder Energy Cannons, Green Electricity, Ice Cube, Eruption, and Extendable Bellow Swords from a pair of twin boys.
For the girls, they have Hair Slicer, Arrow Storm, Dreamland, Minefield, Gorilla, Dizziness, Fire Breather, Forearm Scythe Blades, Dust Storm and Energy Drain.
Also, everyone is armed with a Iaitos, shurikens and kunai as, "What are going to do..." Kappei asked.
"We can't fight and brawl at this state..." said Davis.
Unfortunately, "NOW!" Kuryu ordered as everyone shouted a war cry and charged together at them! "No choice..." Kappei unleashed water and lightning as he fired them. One boy summoned an army of monsters from the ground as, "Someone's been playing too many video games! Even though we have some dudes in our class that are into gaming also!" said Davis as he sliced them all. And then, a chimera charged at him and another fired energy blasts from the cannons that morphed from his shoulders. Davis blocked the blasts as the chimera pounced and pinned him down but, "Hydro Fist!" Kappei punched out a fist made out of water that punched and wet the beast.
Then, a hulking beast and a gorilla charged to them with a few others backing him up. One shot large ice cubes, another fired green electricity and the last one grew crystals on his body and using his hands, they shot sharp crystals. Switching elements, "Tempestuous Firestorm!" Kappei unleashed his move but Kuryu made his move as he unleashed lightning and hail startling him and Davis as one of the girls inflict dizziness making them feel dizzy. The attacks launched just now hit them. "BOOM!"
Followed by some pummeling from the hulking beast and gorilla. "OUCHIE" Kappei and Davis yelled as another girl created explosive mines on the field and 2 more girls made their move as one breathe fire and the other created a dust storm. "Incoming! Photon Pillar!" Davis managed to stab his blade on the field and a pillar of light blasted below the girls blinding them temporarily and they also disabled their attacks.
"Nice move. But they're just getting warmed up..." Kappei warned his friend as they brace themselves.
Back in class...
"What kind of party food we're having?" Cruz asked,
"Crispy chicken tenders, clubhouse sandwiches, pepperoni pizza, fudge brownies, chocolate glazed doughnuts and meatballs with sliced onions and roast potatoes on skewers." Jeong answered. "For the drinks, we got soda in 1.5 litre bottles and lemonade. We also go paper plates and cups for the party."
"Hmmm...might not be enough." He replied when the door opened and, "Are we exactly on time for the party?"
"Ryotarou! You're just in time!" Archie greeted him as he, Draco, Alec, Tobias, Kanisuke, Kitou, Orion and Masumi entered the classroom. They also brought gifts and food. "I got tempura, Draco got beef steak cubes on toothpicks and Alec has coleslaw."
"Perfect! That's a lot of party food we have now!" said Cruz as the set up is on the way. Even so, the other class representatives along with the vice representatives and several students from each of the remaining 8 classes have arrived to join and attend the birthday party.
Back at the field...
Kappei and Davis struggle to fight back against the entire class 3-A. They're relentless and tireless in unleashing their awakened powers. "I WANT THEM DEFEATED AND HUMILIATED!" Kuryu yelled as he created 2 tornadoes and sent them whirling to them.
Kappei wasted no time and summoned a large tornado and it dominated the other 2. Just them, the twin boys fired their mouth lasers from his left and right. However, Davis used his twin photon blades and blocked them both. "Fighting against us is an unwise move!"
"Not to mention that it's after school hours and you're all doing this?! Have you no honour?" Kappei asked as an Iron Ball nearby hit him if he didn't shoot fire and melt it.
"Who cares about honour and other shit?! Didn't I say strength and power is what makes a true ninja?! This is the opportunity for me to settle this and show everyone here why I deserve to have my power ranked Ancient!" Kuryu declared ignorantly.
All cheered for their class leader and attacked some more. One girl has her long hair hardened and sharpened enough to slice Davis's photon blades. "Ah whatever you bloke, I can create more and they're fast!" Davis created 2 more and is right on time to block an arrow storm created by one of the girls. Severak students shoot kunais and shurikes but were deflected away by the 2 boys as the twin boys transformed his arms into the extendable bellow swords and went crazy to extend and strike.
"Yikes!" Kappei and Davis almost got stabbed as, "Eat some of this!" Davis fired photon blasts and Kappei fired lightning bolts at some students but one boy created a force field blocking their attacks and worse, Kuryu intensified his weather attacks as hail and lightning bombarded the field followed by eruptions from a student and the landmines laid just now blew up.
"This is too much!" said Kappei and a large ice cube him hit directly on the body.
"Damn! It's not getting any better for us! If only..." Davis then jumped back to avoid scythe blade attacks from a female student as the fighting rages on.
Back at class again...
"We're here!" Emma and Kurt have arrived and the cake is ready. "Wow...that looks so sweet and tasty!" said Masumi.
"You said it." said Victoria and Baron is drinking a can of soda.
"Now that we're here, someone message Davis to bring the birthday boy over." Emma ordered as Vega whipped her phone out. Seconds later, "All done."
"And now we wait." said Ryotarou as he ate a tempura. "Did I forget to mention it's my favourite food?"
And back at the field again...
"Ugh...I feel deenergized..." said Kappei. Yeah they took a hit from a female student that drained away their energy to fend for themselves.
"How long are they gonna drain us from all the fighting?" Davis asked as they braced themselves. "I want them broken! Broken to the point that they'll never become true ninjas! YOU HEAR ME? I WANT THEM BROKEN TO THE BONE!" A mad Kuryu ordered as the whole class got ready.
But all of a sudden, "Digital Nullifying Gravity Field!" From the entrance, Optic appeared and created a dome covering the area via a gadget and everyone ends up being immovable.
"Uh guys? I can't move or use my awakened power."
"Me too!"
"Same thing!"
"What's the meaning of this!? Someone do something!" Kuryu ordered but, "I'm afraid not." Optic entered the field as he took out another gadget and zapped it on Kappei and Davis. The gravitation around them is nullified and they find themselves being able to move again. "Stings a bit mate." said Davis.
"True." Optic then set his sight on Kuryu. "You sure like to bark up the wrong tree Kuryu."
"Just because you're the SCP doesn't mean you have the right to meddle into my personal matters!" He replied in anger.
"I have the right to do so because what you and your class is doing is against school regulations!" Optic is now serious as, "I want you to end this feud now. If you still hold on it, you will answer to me!"
"Ha! I find it had to believe." said Sid.
"Good. I will speak to the principal reporting this incident to him and he'll probably give the order to delay you lot. In other words, graduation is next year for your class!" Optic has dealt an assumed ultimatum as everyone grumbled about it believing it to happen or something. He then deactivated the field as the whole Class 3-A took their leave. "This is not over yet..." Kuryu hissed at the boys to himself quietly as he direct his glare at Optic. "The same goes for you..."
He just stared at him as he shifted his gaze to Kappei and Davis. "Need a one way ticket for some medical treatment?"
It cuts to the school infirmary as thanks to the awakened powers of the medical staff, Kappei and Davis recovered from their injuries. "What a relief..." said Kappei. "Now what?"
Davis just checked his phone and read a new message. "Shit! It's been too long! Better hurry!" He thought and, "Hey mate. Follow me."
"Where to?"
"You'll see." He lead him out as Optic watched. "Before looking for them, I dropped a birthday present already at their class..."
And minutes later...
"Okay mate. We're outside the classroom but first, close your eyes." Davis ordered as he did. He then opened the door guiding Kappei inside. Once he closed the door. "Open sesame."
He opened his eyes and, "SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAPPEI!"
"Happee Birthdee!" Yeah even Gumchi greeted along.
A bright smile appeared on his face upon seeing his class and some of the Class 2-B students and all the other class representatives and their vices all in the classroom. "I didn't expect this...thank you everyone."
"We are all honoured to celebrate your birthday." said Ryotarou as, "Nice birthday cake! Who baked this?" Kappei asked and his mouth is starting to water over it.
"Emma did and I helped her with the decorating." Kurt replied.
"Triple layered chocolate cake with coffee frosting and rainbow sprinkles on top." Kappei noticed as Kurt lighted 8 candles on the cakes. Everyone then gathered and sang the birthday song. "Make a wish!" Emma encouraged the birthday boy as he closed his eyes. Once ready, "FWOOSH!"
"What the? GUMCHI!" Everyone exclaimed as, "Hee! Hee! Hee!" Gumchi giggled over it as Kappei chuckled. "Silly little buddy!" He exclaimed as he hugged him and once he made his wish, he blew the candles as all cheered loudly.
"Cake time!" Alec, Kitou and Orion cheered as Kurt started slicing it. It's a large and it's enough for everyone as the party begins!
Everyone ate and drank and mingled with one another. Some boys threw darts on a target board which is pinned on the wall. "Watch this!" Kitou shot it and bullseye! "My turn!" Marcel went next followed by a few other boys.
At one table, Bull and Masai are arm-wrestling and at another table, Sylvester, Tyrone, Isaiah, Orion and Davian are playing poker. There are also some girls chatting with one another.
"Hey Midori. I heard you adopted a cat during summer?" Nanami asked as she drank some fruit punch.
"Why yes I did! I read in the website about it. There is a cat named Pickel that is being rehabilitated in the WNA. Heard it used to do dirty work for a villainous spy. I kinda felt bad for a kitty to be used to do that so I wrote an email to them about adopting it. A few days later, they dropped a cage outside my house and inside is that adorable feline!"
"Oh my gosh! You got the cat!" Nanami exclaimed.
"That's right! I loved it so much that I took care of it during summer! I even brought it with me to the dorms!" Midori added as they chat some more.
Over there, "Davis, are you alright?"
"Ah...Vega...it wasn't easy?"
"Are you serious? You just need to keep him busy until we finish the party setup."
"It's not that. I did keep him busy. Or should I say...we were too busy."
"With what?" Vega had a look of concern as she finished up her slice of pizza.
"Kuryu and his class tried to attack us for protecting a freshman that's being bullied by his peers. They were livid enough to wreck us." Davis explained.
"What an asshole. He's still having this grudge after the Summer Sports Olympics? He needs a chill pill to lighten up." said Vega.
"He needs more than a chill pill. That bloke has so much anger issues despite his extreme strength and powerful abilities." said Davis as they ate some meatball skewers together.
Meanwhile, "Emma, you organized this for me did you?"
"I would never forget your birthday." She replied. "Now are you going to open your presents?" In excitement, Kappei went to as Maeve approached Emma. "You know, you have yet to give him your birthday present."
"Of course. I plan to give it to him after the party and when it's just the two of us." Emma replied.
"Ooh. Are you going to do something hot and naughty." Maeve teased.
"No comment." She went to get a drink as Maeve smirked. "She's definitely going to do it..."
That night...
"I sure had a blast in the party." said Kappei.
"And now it's just you and me sharing the last slice of cake." said Emma and they're in Kappei's dorm having a private celebration. Just the 2 of them.
"Good thing it's a big slice enough for us!" He stated as they ate the cake together with some lemonade.
After the treat, "Oh yeah...Emma, you're the only one who hasn't given me a birthday present. Now that I suddenly remembered it."
"Um...yes! Yes about that...it, um...ah...begins...right now." Emma then kissed him on the spot and it hit him. "I think I'm going to enjoy her birthday gift..."
A few minutes of making out and then, the undressing took place. "This time...your undergarments are lacy and baby blue in colour." said Kappei.
"And you're wearing a white underwear with shuriken designs." said Emma as they got on the bed and made out some more. Kappei had fun kissing her neck and midriff as she moaned from it. In return, "Now, the real fun begins." Emma declared and is extremely shy as she blushed deep.
"Something wrong Emma?" Kappei asked.
"Um...no! Nothing is wrong! Here, I need to put this on you." She went to her school bag and took out a blindfold. She then blindfolded Kappei as, "I really can't see anything now..."
But all of sudden, it happened. "Wait a minute...where's my underwear?" He then felt something else. "Ah...AH! AH! AH! Is she...oh man...I think I'm in seventh heaven..."
Okay, now he knows what her birthday gift for him is. Better leave them for the privacy then. At least it's hot for both of them to have fun and enjoy themselves.
