In the dim flickering light of the streetlamps, a sinner walked down the sidewalk distractedly digging into her purse. "I know I put my keys in here…" she muttered to herself, tucking a lock of fluffy wool back behind a curved horn and away from her eyes.
"Psssst!"
She slowed her steps and then stopped, looking around nervously for the source of the sound, pulling her purse protectively to her chest. "…hello?" she called out uncertainly.
"Psssst!" came the sound again, more insistent this time.
Now that she was paying attention, it was clear it was coming from the darkened alleyway she was standing in front of. Hesitant to leave the pool of light she was currently standing in, she tiptoed to the edge without stepping over, "Is someone there?" she called out in a trembling voice.
The only response was a sudden hand reaching out to grab the collar of her shirt, pulling her off her feet and into the darkness.
"Wait—what are y—" She managed before she screamed.
When it cut off a moment later, the silence hung heavily over the street.
