Chapter 13 - Nomu
Chopper and Tsuyu had recently made their way out of the flood disaster zone, and made their way back to the main plaza, where their peers awaited them. Since the duo was still in knee-deep water, Tsuyu carried Chopper on her head to dry land.
"So, what's our next move?" Tsuyu asked the animal that was above her.
"Well… I think you should get out of here as fast as possible." Chopper began, as Tsuyu interjected.
"So you're staying then?"
"Yes. These villains here have something that could rival even All Might… and if they have that, then my help's gonna be needed here."
"Alright then-"
Before Tsuyu could finish, the duo heard a loud 'CRACK', as Aizawa's arm was snapped in an instant due to the bio-engineered weapon that was called a 'Nomu'.
The instant later, Izuku jumped up into the air, readying the strongest attack in his arsenal with 20% of his power.
"His brain is probably his weak point!" Izuku thought, as he was front flipping in the air before thinking, "STRAW HAT… SMASH!"
Izuku's leg crashed into the Nomu's brain… but unfortunately for him, his attack did absolutely nothing.
"MIDORIYA! GET OUT OF HERE!" Aizawa shouted.
Before Izuku could follow Aizawa's words or deny them, the Nomu reacted to Izuku's strike, jumping up and headbutting Izuku with the same power as All Might, knocking him far, far away from the battle and dealing massive damage to him. While falling down, the Nomu additionally slammed Aizawa's head into the ground, dealing similar damage to the teacher.
"Tomura Shigaraki." the villain with the teleporter quirk began, arriving beside the one he called out.
"Kurogiri. Is Thirteen dead?" the man supposedly named 'Tomura Shigaraki' questioned.
"Thirteen is incapacitated… the remaining students should be of no consequence." Kurogiri stated.
"Mr. Aizawa!" Shoji shouted, as he saw the scene below… and was horrified.
Meanwhile, having been knocked all the way to the Ruins Zone of USJ (where Bakugo and Kirishima were transferred), Izuku began to get up after the Nomu's blow.
"Deku?! The hell are you doing all the way over here?" Bakugo shouted at Izuku.
"Are you alright?" Kirishima, who was with Bakugo, additionally asked.
"I'm fine… I just got hit by that guy…" Izuku stated.
"Who?!" Bakugo barked at Izuku.
"I don't know his name…" Izuku noted, but he gritted his teeth and got up, stating, "But he has a strength rivaling even All Might's."
Upon hearing this, Bakugo was momentarily surprised, but then smirked, "All Might, eh?"
At around this same time, Chopper and Tsuyu then made their way up and out of the water, now being somewhat close to the main plaza.
"Nearly there… Mister Aizawa?!" Tsuyu stated in shock, as Chopper saw their teacher from on Tsuyu's shoulders as well.
"No way… he's completely out of it!" Chopper noted, as he shook his head, "We've got to do something!"
"Oh? It seems there are some kids over in the water, Kurogiri!" Shigaraki noted, as he leaped towards Tsuyu and Chopper, "Let's leave some of them dead! That'll wound the pride of the Symbol of Peace!"
Time stood still, as Shigaraki took his hand, all five fingers ready to attack and disintegrate Tsuyu, who was right in front of him… however, despite Shigaraki's speed, he made one grave miscalculation.
"HEAVY GONG!" Chopper shouted, as he hit Shigaraki square in the side of the head, sending him recoiling backwards along the ground. The USJ Nomu turned his beak up, questioning animalistically if a worthy opponent had arrived.
After he finished rolling around on the ground, Shigaraki found his footing, and tried to regain his composure… and once he did, through gritted teeth, Shigaraki asked,
"You… just who the hell are you?!"
Aizawa, who was prepared to have erased Shigaraki's quirk to save Tsuyu, used Chopper's actions to come to a new conclusion.
"Chopper… he saved Tsuyu!" Aizawa noted, "He could've just let her die… claiming Shigaraki's attack was too fast... but he intervened!"
"My name is Tony Tony Chopper!" Chopper proclaimed, "I'm a doctor, and my job is to save people! So as long as I'm around, I'm not gonna let you hurt anyone!"
"Chopper!" Izuku yelled, making his way back to the scene by himself (Shave allowed him to get there faster than Bakugo or Kirishima), "Don't let that guy touch you, he can disintegrate those he does!"
"Whaaat? Good thing I punched him away from Tsuyu then!" Chopper noted, as he turned back around to see Aizawa, still held down by the Nomu behind him.
"Grrr… you're just a nobody!" Shigaraki yelled, "Nomu!"
"Tsuyu... get out of here." Chopper quickly noted, as with a quick 'kero', Tsuyu decided to follow the boy's order.
The Nomu responded to his master's order preemptively, launching himself towards Chopper and extending his fist out to create a punch, but Chopper also reacted with a punch of his own, with both opposing forces canceling out against each other, creating merely a massive shockwave in their wake.
The Nomu then tried to land another punch, but Chopper canceled out that one too. Then Chopper blocked another, and another, and another, until eventually, every blow was a flurry of them, just like two gatling guns were being loaded against each other.
"What the hell?!" Shigaraki questioned, "But… this Nomu is meant to be on par with All Might! How the hell is this fodder even competing with him?!"
Izuku then activated eight percent of One for All, and rushed towards Shigaraki.
"Shigaraki, look out!" Kurogiri shouted, which Shigaraki started to react to, but not before Izuku had already arrived.
"USJ… SMASH!"
Izuku hit Shigaraki with another powerful kick, which Shigaraki was barely able to block with his arms, being knocked back a decent amount.
"You… you're annoying, you brat!" Shigaraki shouted, as Kurogiri then stated.
"Shigaraki! Be careful, the students seem to have exceeded our expectations… we mustn't engage in any hasty confrontations!" Kurogiri shouted.
"No… NO!" Shigaraki desperately shouted.
"I'm not gaining any leverage on this guy!" Chopper noted, still engaged in that aforementioned flurry of blows with the Nomu from USJ, "And I'm only losing stamina but… with Arm Point, I should be able to deal some damage!"
Chopper then quickly transformed into Jump Point, launching himself slightly into the air, but the Nomu reacted too fast, jumping up and successfully grabbing Chopper by the neck, but thankfully, the reindeer had a backup plan.
"Guard point!"
Chopper thought, transforming into a ball of fluff that slid right out of the Nomu's grasp. Nomu then launched himself into the air, attempting to catch up to Chopper, but that's what Chopper wanted… so long as he could time this perfectly!
"Arm point!" Chopper thought, as he transformed forms, quickly initiating his attack, "CLOVEN… CROSS!"
Hitting the Nomu square in the chest, he sent the bio-engineered weapon rocketing down onto the ground below.
"Chopper…" Aizawa mumbled, as Chopper, after landing on the ground, looked over to his teacher.
"Don't move! That injury looks bad… I'll come look at you in a second!" Chopper stated.
Chopper then looked back over to the USJ Nomu, as despite the massive injury and prior shockwave, he stood right back up… and with a massive, hoof shaped hole in his chest, no less.
"Ah! Sorry, that was too far! I'll have to treat you too!" Chopper noted, but Nomu was unfazed… as with ease, a red fiber surrounded him, and he regenerated, "W-what?!"
"I'm surprised you made it past Nomu's quirk… Shock Absorption." Shigaraki stated, "Unfortunately… you'll find it a lot harder to get past his regeneration, capable thanks to none other than his life fibers."
"This guy's basically just like a Pacifista then!" Chopper noted, "It took the combined powers of our entire crew to defeat one back on Sabaody… I don't know if I'll be able to take it on by myself! Best to-"
Before Chopper could even so much as come up with a plan, Nomu had already begun to launch a punch at Chopper… and not just that, but he was much faster than before.
"Guard point!" Chopper thought, quickly transforming into a fluffball that took minimal, yet still a hefty chunk of damage from the Nomu's punch, being recoiled backwards.
"I should also mention…" Shigaraki noted, laughing as he did so, "that once Nomu regenerated, you activated his life fiber abilities… meaning he's stronger and faster than even you now!"
"Even faster?!" Chopper noted, shocked, as he shouted out, "Mister Aizawa! Hold on, I've gotta beat this guy, then I'll get to you!"
"Beat him?!" Shigaraki laughed at the claim Chopper made, "I'd like to see you try!"
Meanwhile, Izuku was falling out of the sky, having just been teleported by Kurogiri away from Shigaraki and himself.
"Straw Hat… SMASH!" Izuku thought, as he used the attack to allow himself to not be damaged as heavily by falling from such a height. While it wasn't his sole intention, the impact also made a very loud noise.
"Hey, Todoroki!" a female voice shouted out from afar, "We got another one!"
In an instant, ice rapidly approached Izuku's feet. Processing this, Izuku quickly jumped up into the air, as he shouted,
"Hey! It's me!"
Ryuko and Todoroki then quickly rounded the corner from behind a building, as they saw Izuku.
"Izuku?!" Ryuko questioned, as if not believing his presence, "I didn't see you over here before!"
"I was fighting over with that blue haired villain in the plaza, Shigaraki." Izuku began, "But that fog guy, Kurogiri, teleported me back here. I've gotta get back as soon as possible though!"
"What are we dealing with, Midoriya?" Todoroki asked with tactical efficiency, "These villains here just laughed and told me nothing."
"Someone who apparently has the same strength as All Might!" Izuku answered, "Chopper's been able to hold him off, but I don't know for how long he'll be able to!"
"Then what are we sitting on our asses for then?!" Ryuko questioned, "Let's get over there and kick ass!"
"Running through a maze like this will take too long, plus, we'll be right in the open for them to attack us when we get there!" Todoroki shouted, as he looked behind himself and created a massive glacier in an instant, "This will take us up high. Once we're above the plaza, let's jump off, and make it there."
"Got it." Izuku noted.
"You want me to break my legs?! I'm quirkless y'know!"
"It's fine. I'll make an ice wall down too." Todoroki stated, "Just don't slow me down."
"Hah!" Ryuko stated, "Took the words right outta my mouth!"
"Jump Point!" Chopper thought, yet again trying to jump out of Nomu's range… and now even more easily than before, Nomu was able to reach Chopper, and this time, punched him instead of grabbing him, "Perfect!"
"Now, Guard Point!" Chopper thought, as he transformed into a ball of fluff, being recoiled all the way back from the main plaza to the Conflagration zone by the Nomu (fire; Ojiro's here). Expecting this, Chopper landed onto a rooftop of a building, where he transformed back into his Brain Point form.
"Scope!" Chopper thought, as he placed his hands in front of his face… looking for any potential weaknesses the Nomu might have, especially pertaining to his life fibers, because Chopper knew he likely wasn't going to be able to beat Nomu as is.
"Maybe… scissors?" Chopper thought, but before he could act, the Nomu rapidly approached him, having quickly jumped all the way to the zone in a single bound.
"Arm Point!" Chopper thought, using his enhanced strength to block Nomu's attack, though he could still feel the impact through his hooves.
"Who's there? Another villain?!" a voice said from below, as Chopper realized that it was Ojiro, quickly noting,
"Ojiro's down there! I gotta get this guy away before he hurts him!" Chopper then transformed once more, "Kung Fu Point!"
Chopper then used Kung Fu Point to kick Nomu in the brain, knocking him downwards through the building they were standing on.
"Ojiro!" Chopper shouted, shocking the tailed-boy, "Get to the exit by going around the sides! This guy's even stronger than All Might, so if he gets a hand on you, he'll kill you!"
"R-roger that!" Ojiro stated, "But are you gonna be alright-"
"Go!" Chopper ordered, as Ojiro obeyed, going to escape. Meanwhile, Chopper jumped off the building to where he knocked Nomu down before.
"Heavy Point!" Chopper thought, as Nomu was launching towards him, even before Chopper had reached the ground.
Chopper countered against the Nomu, utilizing the additional velocity from gravity to match Nomu's fist, but even then, the Nomu was still stronger than him.
"Jump point!" Chopper thought, launching backwards off of the Nomu's fist before the monster could get their hands on him.
"Scissors… scissors…" Chopper thought, going over what he analyzed to be Nomu's weakness earlier, "Wait… maybe… Ryuko's Scissor Blade!"
"Seems that furball from earlier forgot about you, eh Eraser Head?" Shigaraki stated, as he walked towards the injured hero who was in the middle of the plaza. Aizawa had no words for Shigaraki, as he lay, breathing heavily, not knowing if he would survive.
"Who knows… maybe we can level up when we kill you!" Shigaraki threw his hand up, and was going to touch Aizawa with it… but once he did, nothing happened, as Aizawa was erasing his quirk, "Why you little-"
Suddenly, Shigaraki heard explosions in the distance.
"Must be the Nomu, killing your little friend-"
But before Shigaraki could even finish, he was hit right in the side of the face with an explosion… from none other than Katsuki Bakugo.
"Get your filthy hands off my teacher, you asshat villain bastard!" Bakugo shouted at the villain, who shot off of Aizawa after being hit by the aforementioned explosion from Bakugo.
"Kurogiri..!" Shigaraki began, who looked into the distance, realizing that Kurogiri was already incapacitated by Kirishima.
"You could've had a nice life… if you just walked the path of the straight and narrow." Bakugo stated, with a smirk forming on his face, "But you decided to become a villain! And villains… GET STOMPED BY GUYS LIKE ME!"
Bakugo then used two explosions to propel himself upwards. Shigaraki questioned what Bakugo was doing, but the boy then catapulted towards Shigaraki, spinning around as he did so.
"Hate to say, but I got this idea from Deku's little attack he did against me during our Battle Trial! And I call it…" Bakugo yelled down at Shigaraki, as before he could even respond, Bakugo unleashed a massive explosive tornado, shouting, "The Howitzer, IMPACT!"
While Chopper was fighting desperately against the Nomu, the pair both saw a massive explosion off in the distance.
"That explosion…" Chopper thought, "Bakugo's gotta be over there!"
Nomu, processing this, as well as hearing an order from his master, returned back to the plaza.
"Wha- hey! Get back here!" Chopper cried out from behind the Nomu, transforming into Jump Point to try and keep up with the Nomu.
All grouped together, Izuku, Shoto, and Ryuko were all running up the ice pillar which had previously been made by Todoroki. They also witnessed the massive Howitzer Impact unleashed by Bakugo.
"Seems that Kacchan's down there, and doing just fine." Izuku observed.
"Yeah, but I say we should head over to the Conflaga- con… the fire zone!" Ryuko shouted, having been struggling to say, "Conflagration Zone", "After all, that's where we saw Chopper and that Nomu fly off to, right?"
"I don't think we should." Izuku argued.
"Why?" Todoroki questioned, "Wouldn't it be optimal to help Chopper in this scenario?"
"In most cases, you'd be right, but I noticed while the Nomu was in combat that he's been exclusively following orders from Shigaraki, almost mindlessly." Izuku explained, "So theoretically, if we take out Shigaraki…"
"Then we can take down the big guy as well!" Ryuko commented, "Well then, let's get down there, and tear the crap outta that guy!"
Before any could act on this, Todoroki noted, "Wait a second, is that-"
"How do ya like that, you crappy villain?!" Bakugo said with a maniacal smile, as after the smoke cleared from his attack, Tomura Shigaraki was on the ground, injured and coughing up a fit… his quirk wasn't designed for durability.
Bakugo taunted his foe, "Come on, shithead! Show me what you've got!"
"Tomura Shigaraki!" Kurogiri screamed, as he tried to escape, but Kirishima slammed Kurogiri's body into the ground.
"Sorry dude, but I can't let you go!"
Realizing that desperately trying to escape Kirishima's grip wouldn't work, Kurogiri then decided to take a different course of action.
"Nomu!" Kurogiri yelled.
Within practically an instant, Nomu arrived in front of Kurogiri and Kirishima. Kirishima's eyes grew wide, and he reactively hardened once he stared at the Nomu, but the Nomu merely looked dead eyed at Kirishima right back, not having been given an order yet.
"Wait a second," Todoroki began, "Is that the Nomu?"
Izuku looked down at the ground, as his plan was ruined in an instant. Quickly charging up Full Cowling and using Shave to instantly get to the plaza, Izuku jumped off Todoroki's Heaven Piercing Ice Wall, and readied up yet another attack similar to the Straw Hat Smash while he was falling to stop his momentum when he hit the ground, and deal damage to the Nomu if he could.
"Midoriya!" Todoroki yelled, as he looked back at Ryuko, "I'll create an ice path down, follow along!"
"Right!" Ryuko stated.
Izuku was doing front flips in the air once more. Sure, he got dizzy every time, but somehow, he felt a certain presence… or a voice maybe… was able to guide him.
"At this point… I don't think my body hurting or not matters!" Izuku thought, "I'll put all I have into this next blow!"
"Get this boy off me!" shouted Kurogiri, as on instinct, Nomu charged up a punch which headed straight for Kirishima.
If not for him having his hardening activated, he surely would have been killed in just a single punch… and even with it, Kirishima was still knocked out cold in that single blow, having been thrown across all of USJ as well.
"No, Kirishima!" Sero yelled, up from the top of the staircase.
"He's alive... but knocked out!" Shoji stated.
"I don't wanna just sit around... but to fight against that Nomu..." Sero noted.
"You all stay here." Shoji ordered, "I'll go down and scout out the scene."
"I'll come with you!" Uraraka interjected.
"No." Shoji responded, "Your quirk wouldn't allow you to take a hit from that... that thing, but mine will."
"What the hell?" Bakugo questioned, turning around to look at the Nomu.
"Nomu…" Tomura Shigaraki mumbled, as he breathed heavily.
"SUPREME… SABAODY…" Izuku said, crashing downwards as he stopped his frontflips, clocking back his arms and unleashing 100% of his power in an instant, not giving Nomu so much as an instant to dodge. Izuku finished naming his attack, as he shouted, "SMASH!"
Izuku's arm tore apart, as the impact from his collision with Nomu shook the entire surrounding area. Everyone in the vicinity could barely comprehend just how powerful it was, and Aizawa was even knocked backwards… but Shoji caught him.
"Come on, I'll carry you up the stairs!" Shoji stated.
"Is… help… coming?" Aizawa questioned.
"Not for a while… one of the villains took down Ida… but Mina is on the run to U.A!"
After hearing this, Aizawa sighed, and then said, "Don't you dare die…" before losing consciousness.
The dust which had been brought from Izuku's attack slowly began to dissipate after the impact, as Izuku jumped out from behind the smoke, a broken arm in tow.
"Deku?!" Bakugo questioned.
"Be careful!" Izuku shouted back at Bakugo, "There's no way that took him out!"
"Nomu!" Kurogiri shouted through the smoke, "Attack the one who hurt Tomura Shigaraki with your strongest blow!"
In just an instant, Nomu arrived and stopped right in front of Bakugo, as if to give him time to process his own inevitable demise, as well as to charge up a massive blow which was to surely kill the boy. It was an eternity for the boy, yet it in actuality happened in an instant… and then, a darkness filled him… But… a voice penetrated through that darkness.
"DON'T YOU DAREE!" Izuku shouted, as suddenly, the very same energy that pulsated off of him when he rushed to fight the Sludge Villain, and the same energy he pulsated when he fought Bakugo in the Battle Trial, pulsated off of Izuku yet again.
A massive invisible shockwave of red energy blasted around the area, as suddenly… Nomu stopped dead in his tracks, fearful of the boy who had just radiated the energy of a Conqueror. His body shook and pulsated… and as much as he tried to fulfill the orders he was given… he couldn't.
"No way… Nomu, what are you doing?!" Shigaraki yelled, as Izuku continued to stare at the Nomu, energy continuously pouring out from his body.
"Deku?!" Bakugo questioned, with a drop of sweat down his face, as he stared at Izuku's face. It was completely serious, without a single ounce of fear within it… all that was there was determination; the determination borrowed from his will to become a hero.
Bakugo then turned over to Nomu.
"So, it seems you're afraid of that shitty Deku!" Bakugo stated with a smirk, "If that's all it takes to get you riled up, then maybe you're not all you're cracked up to be!"
"Nomu! What are you doing?! Attack!" Kurogiri shouted from behind him.
Conflicting desires ravaged through the Nomu's head, as he began shaking his body wildly. Suddenly, he punched the floor, then he dashed over to the staircase and punched that. And then one second afterwards, he let out a massive roar, as if trying to let out all of his pent up energy.
"He's fast, if nothing else." Bakugo commented, smirking slightly afterwards, "And I guess he's strong too, seeing as he conked out Kirishima in just a single blow."
"Of course!" Kurogiri nervously stated, "He's not just All Might's rival… but his superior… but to be unable to move because of this boy… wait…"
Shigaraki then spoke up for Kurogiri, "Just how the hell does a brat like you have the Haki of a Conqueror?!"
Shortly afterwards, Todoroki and Ryuko arrived on the battlefield.
"Hey! Izuku, you good?!" Ryuko yelled down, jumping off of Todoroki's ice, but the boy seemed completely and utterly focused on what was ahead of him, "What the hell's up with him?!"
"…I suppose this little outburst is of no consequence." Kurogiri noted, "Conqueror's Haki drains one of the very spirit they rely on to use it… you'll tire out shortly."
Kurogiri's prophecy quickly came to pass, as the continued strain during the battle caused Izuku to break his focus on utilizing Conqueror's Haki.
The instant Izuku's focus broke, the Nomu returned his attention to Bakugo, as he rushed towards him.
Todoroki tried to react, summoning a wall of ice, but all this did was delay the inevitable… as Nomu instantly broke through the ice as if it were paper, and still rushed towards Bakugo regardless, readying a punch and surely trying to kill him once more… until…
"HORN POINT!" Chopper shouted, as he quickly intervened, placing his horns in between the Nomu's fist and Bakugo, and while Chopper's first horn broke from this, the second stopped the fist, at least temporarily, "HEAVY POINT!"
"Nomu! Defeat that guy, and then let's get ready to clear the boss!" Shigraki coughed, still on the ground, but now having been teleported to Kurogiri's side when the heroes weren't looking. Chopper and the USJ Nomu then resumed their fight from earlier.
Before the fight begun however, Chopper yelled out, "Ryuko! This guy's weakness is scissors, since he's powered up by Life Fibers!"
"Huh?!" Ryuko responded, "Life fibers?! That's the stuff my Dad was researching! Am I supposed to know something?!"
"Clearly dumbass, if he's only telling you specifically!" Bakugo barked.
"Huh?! You wanna go?!" Ryuko angrily responded right back.
"C-calm down…" the now exhausted and on the ground Izuku stated, who used his left arm to try to prop himself upwards, in a pose akin to Luffy's second gear stance, "Scissors… he's talking about your scissor blade?"
"Probably… but what could this do?" Ryuko questioned.
"Scissors cut, so maybe he wants you to cut the Nomu?" Todoroki suggested.
"Alright! I'll try it!" Ryuko stated, as she took a step towards the fight between the Nomu and Chopper, and then turned right back around and said, "Yeah… I'm not getting in the middle of that."
"At least try, you damn coward!" Bakugo shouted.
"Well… either way, you wouldn't be able to with Kurogiri on watch." Todoroki noted.
"Easy. Let me handle that guy!" Bakugo confidently spouted.
"Then, I'll work together with Chopper to freeze that Nomu in his tracks." Todoroki stated, "Ryuko you stay on your guard!"
"I…" Izuku tried to say, barely able to stand, "I can help too!"
"Are you trying to make a joke at a time like this, you damn nerd?!" Bakugo shouted at Izuku, "You've done way more than what you're worth! Sit down, and let the pros settle this."
"B-but… but!"
"You've done more than enough!" Bakugo shouted, "We can handle this!"
In his own way, Bakugo was trying to look out for Izuku, and Izuku acknowledged this, as he smiled slightly, saying "Alright", and then fell over.
"Now then..." Bakugo began, "Let's do this thing!"
A moment later, he exploded straight onto the scene.
Chopper and the Nomu were engaged in fierce hand to hand combat, though to anyone who was paying attention to the fight, it was clear that Nomu was winning in every way.
"I can't use Horn Point anymore since one of my horns is broken!" Chopper noted, "And my hands are starting to hurt as well… if I parry any more blows, I might damage myself beyond repair, plus, it's not even like I can keep up with this guy anymore! Even if I can't control it… I'll have to go a step further!"
"Kurogiri…"
As he saw that the Nomu wasn't making as much progress as Shigaraki would have liked, Kurogiri sighed, and shut his eyes, concentrating on making a Warp Gate, but before he could…
"KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE, FOGGY BASTARD!" Bakugo yelled, as Kurogiri opened his eyes, just in time to be hit by an explosion clear in the chest by Bakugo. Kurogiri tried to get back to the scene, but just like Kirishima before him, Bakugo grabbed Kurogiri's chest.
"Stay still, unless you wanna get blasted." Bakugo calmly stated.
"Woah! Bakugo?!" Chopper yelled out, but due to taking his eyes off the fight for a second, he was rewarded with a swift punch to the gut from the Nomu, as he was knocked back quite a bit away, blood spouting from his mouth, "It hurts… but… Now's my chance!"
The Nomu quickly rushed towards Chopper, but Todoroki interrupted the Nomu's path by quickly creating a Heaven's Piercing Ice Wall into the Nomu's side, knocking him back.
"Todoroki!" Chopper shouted.
"You got a plan to stall him so Ryuko can slash him?!" Todoroki shouted.
"Yeah!"
"Then I'll stall him myself for as long as you need to prepare!"
"Todoroki… even just since the Battle Trial… he's grown!" Chopper noted, sorting through his bag, "Everyone's just so awesome in their own ways… they remind me of my crew!"
Chopper finally found the Rumble Ball out of his bag, as he stood up, and sighed, "And for my crew… for my friends here too… I'd go so far as to even become a monster."
"Chopper!" Todoroki shouted, as the Nomu broke past all of Todoroki's ice walls, and was now rushing straight to Chopper.
Chopper put his Rumble Ball in his mouth, right in between his teeth, and suddenly…
A crunch could be heard.
"LET'S RUMBLE!"
The Nomu unleashed a furious punch at Chopper… but, for the first time in this fight, it was blocked without a single hint of resistance. Chopper then unleashed a single furious punch, or even more like a slap of his hand, which sent Nomu flying downwards, creating a hole in the ground which went down hundreds of feet.
Chopper wasn't done there however, as he began to grow larger and larger and larger. Any semblance of his old, cute appearance suddenly vanished, as he slowly became a beast the likes of which children would be afraid of. Everyone in Class 1-A was shocked by Chopper's transformation… as towering above all of them, he was a creature which could only be described as a monster.
Chopper screamed… but surprisingly, he retained complete control in this form.
"Huh? How come I can still control myself?" Chopper questioned, until he realized! He had never tested Monster Point since he had perfected control of his other transformations without the use of the Rumble Ball… so, in all likelihood, him improving control of his transformations had also allowed him to gain better control of Monster Point!
Even despite being injured, the Nomu was quickly regenerated through his Life Fibers, as he leaped out of the hole which Chopper dug for him, and a moment later, attempted to punch Chopper in the legs... but the titan sustained no damage.
"W-what the hell is that thing?! Just how…" Shigaraki cried, before realizing, "These fodder… are they even stronger than All Might?!"
As there was a fly on his leg, Chopper simply kicked the Nomu away.
"Chopper, are you still awake in there?!" Todoroki yelled, having created an ice path to reach the head of the titan that was Chopper.
"Somehow… yeah!" Chopper responded.
"Restrain the Nomu! Let Ryuko use her Scissor Blade to cut it… what do you expect it to do, by the way?!" Todoroki questioned.
"I don't know exactly… but I think the Life Fibers which are powering Nomu up are susceptible to cutting attacks." Chopper responded, "It's the best shot we got!"
"Right!" Todoroki responded quickly, as he quickly created another ice ramp to accelerate himself downwards, launching his ice wall at the Nomu as he did so, who dodged the attack, and in midair, attempted to attack Todoroki, but on instinct, Todoroki used his left side… which made the Nomu flinch momentarily, to Todoroki's surprise.
This distraction would've left Chopper the perfect opportunity to grab the Nomu… if not for his size, which caused Chopper to accidentally swat the Nomu away!
"Crap! I'm still getting used to this new strength and size…" Chopper thought... and to his credit, he had never really used the Monster Point before.
The Nomu then flew all the way back into the walls of USJ, but he quickly shot back into action, this time targeting Chopper and only Chopper. The Nomu soared up to Chopper's head, and attempted to punch him straight in his nose, but this only gave Chopper the opportunity to catch the Nomu once more, and this time, he succeeded!
"He's caught!" Chopper yelled out, as Ryuko, still on the ground, saw the colossal titan she had to climb.
"Can you bring that guy down a little bit?" Ryuko asked.
"I can try!" Chopper yelled, struggling to contain the Nomu in his hand, "But you've gotta be fast, this guy'll break out sooner rather than later!"
"Damn…" Ryuko said, quickly rattling her brain to think of something, "Todoroki!"
"Yes?" Todoroki stated, speeding down off his ice path, jumping off it and landing right beside Ryuko.
"Get me up there!"
"Got it! Just stand in front of me!"
Ryuko followed Todoroki's order, and once she did, Todoroki manifested a massive ice path which propelled her forwards, and Todoroki followed right behind her. The duo sped towards the Nomu, but suddenly…
"Nomu!" Shigaraki shouted, "What are you doing just standing there?! Get those brats who are coming for you!"
Hearing this order from his master, the Nomu's resistance increased dramatically, as suddenly, he burst out of Chopper's hands, and rushed towards Ryuko.
Not even having a second to react, Ryuko barely had enough time to block the attack with her scissor blade, but nonetheless, was still hit back, and straight into Todoroki at that, knocking them both closer to the ground.
"We're not done yet!" Todoroki shouted, as using the ice path they had ridden on previously as ground, he created another ice path, giving him and Ryuko room to stand and the ability to slide right back onto the path.
"Sorry! I'll try to get him back, but I don't think I have much time left in this form!" Chopper cried, as he attempted to grab the Nomu, who was rushing up Todoroki's ice pillar.
"Aw man, what the hell are we gonna do?!" Ryuko questioned.
In this situation, Todoroki merely deeply inhaled, and then after a pause, deeply exhaled.
"I will never use this power again." Todoroki stated aloud.
"Huh?" Ryuko let out.
Once the Nomu reached the top of the ice pillar, Todoroki activated his flames… and just like before, a primal fear entered into the Nomu's body, which ended up stalling him in place.
"Now's my chance!" Chopper thought, as he reached out and grabbed the Nomu once more.
"Nomu!" Shigaraki yelled.
"Let's do this!" Ryuko yelled, as she held out her scissor blade behind herself, "Scissor Blade: Decapitation Mode!"
Todoroki, seeing this, quickly slid off his ice pillar, creating an ice path around it downwards.
Now having space, Ryuko launched herself towards the Nomu, screaming as she did. Chopper released his grip, and once he did, as Ryuko was given the perfect opportunity to slash her blade right through the Nomu, who had nowhere to run.
"FINISHING MOVE:" Ryuko began.
The slash she let out was harsh, as Ryuko peeled through the Nomu's skin like butter. After her slash, Ryuko began falling down to the ground, but she was caught by Chopper with the palm of his hand, who safely brought Ryuko down to the ground.
"Sen'i Sōshitsu!" Ryuko yelled, as once she said this, parts of the Nomu's skin seemingly peeled off… and along with it, came his life fibers. A red thread erupted out of them, and went straight to Ryuko, who absorbed it in her hair… she had gotten a bit stronger from this fight.
The Nomu fell to the ground, with a loud explosion of dust blasting out from the ground in his wake.
As this happened, Chopper shrunk back down from his Monster Point form back into his regular old hybrid form.
"No… no… no… NO!" Shigaraki yelled, as nothing had gone according to his plan, as he stood up in the process.
"Oy, Chopper! That wasn't a bad transformation at all!" Bakugo, still resting on Kurogiri, yelled with a smirk at the reindeer, who was completely paralyzed at this moment. Todoroki walked over to him.
"Are you okay?" Todoroki asked Chopper.
"Fine." Chopper said, "Monster Point just paralyzes me for a few hours… But, can you bring me up the stairs? I gotta tend to the injuries of Aizawa, Thirteen… oh! Don't forget about Izuku or Kirishima either!"
"Alright… but how are you going to treat them if you can't move?" Todoroki questioned, but in a moment, another thing caught his eye.
In the distance, even despite all that they had done prior… the Nomu still stood up once more.
