Episode 13: 20,000 Screams under the Sea
Out in the Pacific Ocean, around the Polynesian area where Moana grew up and traveled around, everything seemed at peace, even at night time. The Ocean was calm, the night was as clear as the water. Everything felt just the way life in the Polynesian islands ought to be.
But that all was not to be, for out in some section of the islands, where the water was the deepest a classic galleon was steering out, aboard there were shadow monks and evil scientists, followers of both Dakmogon and Dr. Venom. The monks held dark teleporters while the scientists held flasks of growth hormones or mutagen formulas and some tanks of dangerous aquatic animals ranging from piranhas to crustaceans and cephlopods. The monks would summon some creatures of legend and mythology while the scientists would grow the animals to giant size plus make them super hostile to attack anyone around the waters in an attempt to increase the Dark Master's power through pain, fear, and death the key components to return to full power. Within a matter of minutes strange gigantic creatures arose in the sea all around them, the havoc was about to begin.
Some creatures were a giant squid, a mutated lobster, and some other beings. On command from the monks and scientists, the creatures dispersed throughout the area attempting to wreak havoc on whatever they could come across be it an abandoned island or any fishing boat in the area. Some fishermen were able to get to safety, some weren't they were caught and either capsized or devoured by the monsters.
On one island which was none other than Moana's home island, a portal appeared in the sky and out dropped the Z-Team themselves just a few feet from viewing distance to see the destruction. The village chief came forward to assess the situation as well, then turned to Zack and his team.
"My daughter has told me great things about you folks. Would you do us the favor in dealing with these abominations?" asked the Chief.
"Yes Chief, we shall put an end to this madness and halt whoever is sending them!" replied Zack.
"I won't let you down father!" added Moana.
"Please take good care of my daughter!"
With that, the group headed down to the area where all the boats were stashed, hidden in a cave should the need ever come to pass. There was one, larger than the other ones which they immediately boarded without hesitation and then sailed off into the sea of monsters. All around horrifying roars and screams of victims were heard, the ocean all around was littered with broken boat pieces all around, some pieces had some people holding on for dear life, shouting out for help. Several team members Donald, Moana, Jasmine, and Goofy used the other side of their weapons to help pull them out of the water to safety.
Just as the Team rescued about 12 people, out from the depths of the ocean emerged a gigantic lobster, mutated and belligerent, ready to sink the ship. Wasting no time, the enormous mutated crustacean grabbed Mickey in its claw and immediately began to shake him up. Aladdin and Jasmine stepped forward, Jasmine lashed out with her whip at the lobster's eyes and then Aladdin pointed his scimitar and shouted "Squall Gust!" emitting a small but powerful gust of wind pushing the giant lobster backwards, which enabled Mulan to launch a firework right at the claw, which released Mickey. With Mickey out of harm's way, Donald pointed his spear at the giant mutated lobster and shouted "Lightning Strike!" emitting a bolt of lightning and electrocuting the lobster, sending it down to the depths of the sea.
One threat neutralized, but the danger was just beginning, there were more people to be saved from some giant monsters. Though Zack and Elsa were the main leaders, Moana decided to take command of this ship since this was her people, and as future Chief it was her duty to protect and guide her people. Zack held out his Threat Detector to keep on the alert for more sea monsters, knowing all too well the ocean itself plus the night can hide many insidious things that can pounce upon anyone when they least expect it. Simultaneously he held his flaming sword to use as a light to see if there were any more people that could be saved, Minnie with her light magic emitted an aura of light as well to luminate the dark waters as well.
They spotted another unfortunate fisherman, clinging on to a piece of a raft, Moana lowered her oar for him to grab onto to pull him up. Just as he was about to grab it, he immediately sank down in the blink of an eye, everyone including those that they already rescued were shocked at what just happened, and in the spot where he was, the water turned red a bit, and then in a matter of seconds, a great big piranha fish erupted out of the water, its teeth gnashing for its next victim as it landed on board. This wasn't like what happened at the lab a while ago this one was much bigger, it continually gnashed trying to get to some of the rescued fisherman while Z-Team members charged at it trying to knock it off. Elsa came forward and froze the fish at the mouth and then worked her way downward until the fish was comptletely frozen in a block of ice. Simba, Nala, Rajah, and Pluto stepped over and pushed the piranha off the boat, landing in the water with a big splash, but not enough to get in the boat.
Just as that threat was over, Zack's threat detector beeped in alarm and it guided him to the source which was right in front of the boat. An ominous cloud appeared overhead, and in a matter of seconds rapid bubbling was happening out in front growing bigger and bigger by the second. The Z-Team readied themselves for what was coming up ahead, while the rescued fishermen huddled together not knowing what fearful thing they were about to encounter next. With a bit of a roar an enormous jet black being with a bald head and glowing, vacant eyes appeared before the boat, only visible from the shoulders up, Zack immediately knew this monster.
"The Umibozu…." Zack said without a shred of fear, then turned to Moana. "Think back to the audition, the Sphinx mentioned this creature…." Hearing this Moana stepped forward to face the huge black creature.
"I should sink your ship right now…." boomed the Umibozu, it's voice was enough to make even the bravest person quake in his or her boots, "but first I'll ask you this…..what is the most horrible thing that you know?" Moana, though shaken a bit stood firm.
"Life!" she replied. In a matter of seconds, the creature sank down to the depths, and Zack's threat detector stopped beeping. He then turned to Moana.
"Well down, but I have a feeling that won' t be the last we'll see of it…." Zack said. Just then the Threat Detector beeped again, and this time six huge serpentine heads shot out of the water surrounding the ship, mouths open ready to snatch anyone it came across. The Z-Team readied their weapons immediately surrounding the distressed fishermen. One head tried to snatch one fisherman, but Simba and Nala bit and scratched at the head, sending it backwards with a roar of pain. Another head attempted to bite the mice, but Mickey and Minnie repelled it with their spells, Minnie even launched her Light Ray spell right at the head's eyes, blinding it. One fisherman was snatched by one head, but Aladdin and Jasmine teamed up slashing and whipping at that head until the fisherman was dropped, he had some bite marks on some of his torso and right leg but okay, he would have to be healed a bit once the threat was over. One head launched itself at Mulan, but she got out of the way and started a flurry of sword strikes at it, while her dragon Mushu sparked and flamed at it, repelling it. Another fisherman was snatched and then immediately devoured by that head, Moana and Donald stepped forth pointing their weapons at that head first Moana shouted "Hydro Surge!" and then Donald followed up with "Lightning Strike!" the two magic attacks combined and shocked the head till it was stunned. The last head headed straight for Zack and Elsa, but like the previous encounter first Elsa launched some of her ice magic and then Zack shouted "Flame Blade!" emitting a stream of fire at that head. Feeling defeated the multi-headed monster having had enough, retreated into the depths of the ocean. With the threat out of the way, Moana stepped towards the wounded fisherman and raised her hand.
"Healing Spring!" she said, Moana began to glow sea blue, and then a spring emerged from the ship, the injuries the fisherman received healed at a rapid pace until the wounds where gone. The fisherman was amazed at what just happened, so were the others.
"Let's just hope we don't have another attack like that Scylla we just repelled" Zack addressed everyone "I have a feeling that too will return at some point..." But the calm was cut short when Zack's Threat Detector started beeping much more furiously than the last times, it would seem this would be the worst of the threats this night in the ocean.
Sure enough the threat was confirmed as a bunch of huge tentacles shot out of the ocean, one of them swung forward and hit Zack in the side of the head, knocking him out. Elsa immediately recognized this monster with eyes wide open with shock.
"No, the Kraken!" She shouted in fear, Minnie, Abu, Pluto, and Donald screamed in terror at the sight of what they were seeing as the gigantic cephalopod even showed it's insidious head including jet black vacant eyes. One tentacle grabbed Donald and then slammed him onto the boat, knocking him out too. With two members including their leader knocked out, the Z-Team had to brace themselves for their toughest challenge so far, doing whatever it took to repel the horrible tentacles with whatever means necessary. One of the fisherman discovered a harpoon on the boat and jabbed at one tentacle with it, while all the others huddled together and the Z-Team members repelled the ship. Rajah and Simba pulled Zack away from the front to help him recover. Another tentacle grabbed Goofy and shook him up a bit, but Aladdin stepped forward and lobbed off the tentacle setting him free. In a matter of minutes while the fierce battle took place, Donald and Zack came to, and drew their weapons, rejoining the battle. Another fisherman discovered a pot of whale oil, came to the edge where the ugly beast's head was and then doused the head with it.
"Now's your chance! Set it ablaze!" Zack pointed his sword and shouted "Flame Blade!" which emitted a stream of fire, setting the Kraken on fire, it screamed as it was burning up, and then sank to the depths of the ocean in a matter of seconds. All threats have been neutralized, it was now time to return the distressed fisherman back home. As the boat was steered to the direction of the home island, at starboard side, Moana caught sight of the dark galleon.
"There's probably where the threats originated from!" Moana said in amazement.
"Good eyes Moana, let's secretly follow them and find out what they're up to..." replied Zack, other members agreed to the plan. Secretly paddling the way towards it, they spotted the ladder leading onboard the galleon. Mickey, the handy spy stepped forward and quietly said "Dark Cloak!", becoming invisible, he dove in and then swam his way which was a short distance and without being seen climbed on board, though he stopped himself when he reached the top, he dared not attempt to make a sound to make his presence seen. He heard some discussion among the monks and scientists.
"It seems the attack in these oceans has failed us…." said one bearded scientist.
"Don't be too sure, my fellow monks have spotted some success out here in these waters…." replied the lead shadow monk in a dark tone. "A few fears generated and casualties is enough progress for our master. Plus it would seem that your experiments have proven most beneficial".
"We shall appoint your boss about the successful trial of your experiments…." added another monk.
"Very Well, I'll inform Dr. Venom of the successful mutagen formula and to increase the stock of it." replied one dark haired female scientist.
"Where should the next target be?" asked one blonde haired bespectacled scientist.
"That would be the land of Japan, the dark energy and presence of monsters in that land is sufficient enough to raise our army of monsters…...with enough time not even that dreadful Z-Team should be able to stop us….." finalized another Shadow Monk. Having heard enough, Mickey quietly slid down the ladder and went into the water while still invisible and landed back on the boat to report.
"Uncloak!" he said, and became normal. "Let's get these fisherman back home and I'll report everything." They did just that, with some family members being reunited, but there was also some mourning for the ones they lost to the monsters.
"Thank goodness that my daughter and this noble man saved my men!" the Chief addressed his people. "It would seem that we need to be more careful since dark forces have risen all around..."
Afterwards, Mickey turned to his teammates and gave the full report of what he heard, Zack knew Japan was a place that had many spiritual energies and some dark forces as well, it would be a go-to place for a Dark Master.
"We need to get to Japan on the double!" everyone in his team nodded and put their hands together
"Z Power!" they all said in unison and then Zack created a portal for his team to jump in to travel to Japan.
