Everything is so dark, as if you were asleep. But for Madison, she wasn't. She thought she was dreaming at first, but she felt something strange. Her eyes are closed, her breathing is normal, and she was still underwater. Madison slowly opened her eyes and flutter them a bit until she notices something different.
She looked around to see her surrounding was different. She not at the sunken ship, but to see a giant skull with an eyepatch, tiki statues, a volcano, and a diver just swimming above the surface.
"Wha-?" Madison was confused at first until it hit her. She's not at the ship, she's... "I'm in the fish tank. In a dentist appartment. But how did I-?"
Madison tries to think on how she ended up in the fish tank and scratching her head. But as she looked at her arm, she notices something. They were see-through as if she was a ghost, but she's not.
This felt so familiar to Madison as she wondered why she was see-through until she remembered what it is.
"Of course. This is spiritual travel. I must have thought about Nemo." she spoke.
And speaking of Nemo, a sound of a splash came from above. Madison looked up to see the dentist pouring a fish from a bag into the tank. It was Nemo.
"Dad!" he cried out as he was now in the water and into the plants.
"Nemo!" Madison spoke as she swam towards him, but when she tried to move the plants, her hands went right through them.
She forgot that when she's in spirit form, she can't touch or feel anything, or that no one can see or hear her. She sighed as she decided to watch the frightened little Clown Fish.
"Daddy?" Nemo spoke again as he was out of the plants.
He was really scared as he was swimming backwards until he bumped into something. He quickly turned around to see that it was one of the tiki statues. Nemo quickly swam away from it and tries to find his dad until he bumped into the glass wall. Madison watched him as he swims to another direction but bumps into the glass again and again.
Poor Nemo.
He doesn't where he is or what this place is. Madison swim towards him as she was now beside him, looking at the waiting room of the apartment. She looked around and spotted magazines and toys. Of course, there was a toy of Buzz Lightyear. Madison wanted to chuckled as it was fun to spot any easter eggs, but now it wasn't the right time for this situation.
"Barbara? Prep for his anterior crown, would you, please? And I'm going to need a few cotton rolls." a voice spoke from the back.
"Okay." another replied.
Both the fish and the mermaid turned to look back at the dentist room, to see two people in there. They both swimmed closer as the got to the previous glass and saw one human sitting on a chair, lying down with a bib around his neck. Madison knew this was a patient but where's the...
"Hello, little fella."
Madisom let out a yelp as she saw the dentist's face appeared out of nowhere and was looking at Nemo. The little Clownfish screamed and hid behind the barrel while the dentist chuckled.
"Beauty, isn't he? I found that guy struggling for life out on the reef and I saved him." he said and then turned around to face his patient as he was talking to him.
Madison turned her head to the direction as she saw Nemo coming out of the barrel. He was slowly swimming backwards as he was looking at the dentist, but as he bumped into a small chest, bubbles came out as it opened.
"Bubbles!" a voice shouted.
Madison and Nemo turned to see a Yellow Tang fish swimming towards the chest, muttering with cazy words as was reacting to the bubbles. Nemo quickly moved out of the way as the Yellow Tang got close to the chest and was looking at the bubbles until the chest closed.
"My bubbles." he said as he had his fins on the chest and looked at Nemo.
The Clownfish swim back, nervously at the Yellow Tang until he heard another voice.
"He likes bubbles." a female voice spoke as it was actually a Starfish, hanging onto the glass wall.
Nemo yelped and swim away from her until he his inside the small diver helmet. Madison watched as a bunch of fishes gathered around the helmet and could hear Nemo's whimpers of being so scared until...
"Bonjour." a voice with a French accident spoke and Nemo screamed as he swims out of the helmet.
"Whoa, slow down little fella." a Pufferfish spoke as he caught him with his fin. "There's nothing to worry about."
"Oh, he's scared to death." the Striped Damselfish cooed as she looked at the scared clownfish.
"I want a go home." Nemo spoke as he was timid and looking the fishes around him. "Do you know where my dad is?"
"Honey," the Starfish spoke softly as she looked at him, "Your dad's probably back at the pet store."
"Pet store?" Nemo asked, looking confused.
"Yeah. Like I'm from Bob's Fish Mart." said the Pufferfish as he was giving him an example of where he was from.
"Pet Palace." the Royal Gramma said.
"Fish-O-Rama." the Yellow Tang said, raising his fin proudly.
"Mail order." said the Striped Damselfish.
"Ebay." said the Starfish.
Madison looked at the fishes. When watching the movie as a little girl, she didn't understand what they were saying until she watched a couple of times. They have been in living in stores and forgotten what it was like in the ocean. Also, looking at the them again, she does know who they are. The Tank Gang. The Yellow Tang fish was Bubbles because he was obsessed with them. The Pufferfish was Bloat, the Damselfish was Deb, Royal Gramma was Gurgle, and the Starfish was Peach.
"So, which one is it?" Gurgle asked as he had his fin around Nemo.
"I'm from... the ocean." he answered slowly as he looked at the Royal Gramma.
"Ah, the ocean. THE OCEAN!" Gurgle screamed, freaking out as he pulled his fin away from the Clownfish and looked at both of his fins. "He hasn't been decontaminated yet. Jacques!"
Madison looked back at the helmet and saw a shrimp's head popping out.
"Oui?" the shrimp known as Jaques asked in a French accent.
"Clean him." Gurgle said to him.
"Oui!"
The shrimp got out of the helmet and swim towards the Clownfish.
"Ocean!" Gurgle explained as he pointed at Nemo.
"La mer. Bon." Jaques start his work as he spins Nemo around with speed.
Madison watched as the shrimp spinned him faster than before and now notice that the clownfish was glowing until Jaques stopped his work.
"Voila! He is clean." he said and swims back inside the helmet after he blows a kiss.
Nemo felt a little dizzy from the spinning at first, but steady his swimming as he was no longer dizzy.
"Wow! The big blue." Bubbles spoke as he was amazed at the location of where Nemo was from. "What's it like?"
"Um... big... and blue?" Nemo answered with a confused tone.
"I knew it." the Yellow Tang spoke as he felt right.
" Kid, if there's anything you need, just ask your auntie Deb, that's me." the Damselfish chuckled. "Or if I'm not around, you can always talk to my sister Flo."
Deb lead Nemo to glass wall and only to see the reflection of herself as she smiled.
"Hi,how are you?" she greeted to her reflection. "Don't listen to anything my sister says, she's nuts!" she said to Nemo and then chuckled at the reflection.
Madison shook her head and smirked a little. It felt funny but the fish was crazy. Probably because she has been living in the tank too long that it made her go cuckoo. Suddenly she, along with the other fishes, heard Peach started to speak, but it sounded all muffled as she was still attached to the glass.
"Can't hear you, Peach." Bloat spoke as he rolled his eyes and smirked.
The starfish turned to face her friends with excitement on her face.
"I said we got a live one!"
Madison looked at the Tank Gang as they looked excited to see what's happening. She decided to join in as they swim up to where Peach was sticking and looked at the dentist.
"What do we got?" Deb asked the starfish as she was staring at the dentist and the patient.
"Root canal. And by the looks of those X-rays, it's not gonna be pretty." Peach answered.
Madison watched the dentist as he had a drill in his hand and was in the patient's mouth. The drill was starting it's works and the patient screamed with pain. Madison cringed at the sight and placed her hand at her cheek. She has been to the dentist appointments for teeth checking and all, but never a root canal. She doesn't want to imagine the pain to go through like that patient has.
"Rubber dam and clamp installed?" Bloat asked.
"Yep." Peach answered.
"What did he use to open?" Gurgle asked.
"Gator-Glidden drill. He seems to be favoring that one lately."
Madison looked away for a bit as she doesn't want to see more, but looked down to see Nemo as he looked confused at the gang.
"I can't see, Flo!" Deb groaned with annoyance as she was looking at her reflection and not the action.
Madison looked back at the dentist as he grabbed a different tool. The patient mumbled with his mouth wide open until he screamed more on the pain.
"Now, he's doing the Schilder technique." said Peach as she spoke to her friends.
"He's using a Hedstrom file." said Bloat.
"That's not a Hedstrom file. That's a K-Flex." Gurgle spoke as he was trying to get a good look at the view.
Madison turned to the two fishes as she knew they were going to argue, but also knew what happens next.
"It's got a teardrop cross-section. Clearly a Hedstrom."
"No, K-Flex."
"Hedstrom!"
"K-Flex!"
"Hedstrom!"
And with one final yell from the Pufferfish, he accidently inflates himself like a float balloon.
"There I go. A little help over here?" he asks and Deb sighs.
"I'll go deflate him."
Madison watched the Damselfish swim towards the Pufferfish and from the look of it, Deb got close to his mouth and used her fins to open it, letting out all the air or water. Bloat could have done it by himself as she remember watching some of the videos, but this is a movie. Once Bloat was back to his normal self, the gang along with Madison continued watching the dentist.
"All right, go ahead and rinse." the dentist spoke.
The patient moved a little as he was close to the sink and released the water out of his mouth.
"Ugh! The human mouth is a disgusting place." Gurgle spoke with disgust.
Madison looked at the Royal Gramma for a bit. For once, he was right. Inside the mouth is disgusting, depend on the mannerism of eating.
Suddenly, a loud bang came out of nowhere and the fishes and Madison looked at the window to see a pelican entering the room as he opens the door with his beak. Madison smiled as she knew that pelican was Nigel, the friendliest pelican that is a friend to the Tank Gang.
"Hey, Nigel." Peach greeted as she looked at him and looked back at the dentist working.
"What did I miss? Am I late?" the pelican asked.
"Root canal, and it's a doozy."
"Root canal. What did he use to open?"
"Gator-Glidden drill."
"He seems to be favoring that one. Hope he doesn't get surplus sealer at the portal terminus."
Madison looked at the pelican for a moment as he was talking to the starfish until he spotted something. She looked down to where Nemo is as he looked scared.
"Hello. Who's this?" Nigel asked with a smile as he looked at the little clownfish.
"New guy." Deb replied cheerfully with a laugh as she and the rest of the gang gathered around him.
"The dentist took him off the reef." Gurgle told the pelican.
"An outie. From my neck of the woods?" Nigel smiled as he looked at Nemo, "Sorry if I ever took a snap at you. Fish gotta swim, birds gotta eat."
"Hey!" the dentist voiced shouted as he notices Nigel at the window, "No, no! There aren't your fish. They're my fish. Come on! Go on. Shoo!"
The dentist quickly got Nigel out of the room as the pelican quickly flies off and accidently knocked everything down. As Nigel was gone, the dentist quickly closed the window and then picked up the frame that the pelican knocked down.
"The picture broke. This here's Darla. She's my niece. She's going to be eight next week." he said to his patient and then got near the fish tank as he showed the picture to Nemo while the rest of the fish swimmed away to hide. "Hey, little fella. Say hello to your new mummy. She'll be here Friday to pick you up. You're her present. Shh! It's our little secret."
As the dentist placed the picture beside the tank and walks away as he was talking to his patient, Madison quickly swims to the side to see the picture of Darla. She remembered that when she was little, she thought that Darla was only a little girl, but as growing up, she does realize that some kids don't know the responsibility of taking care of a pet or being gentle to the bags with fishes in. And also, the animation of the little girl did look creepy as she thought of it.
"Uh-oh! Darla." Bloat spoke as he and the rest of the gang, including Nemo, gathered around to look at the picture.
"What? What's wrong with her?" Nemo asked as he looked confused.
"She wouldn't stop shaking the bag." Gurgle explained as the fishes and Madison looked at the bag that Darla was holding was a dead goldfish.
"Poor Chuckles." Bubbles spoke as he sadly looked at the goldfish.
"He was her present last year." Deb cried into her fins.
"Hitched a ride on the porcelain express." said Bloat as everyone heard the toilet flushed and looked to see the dentist coming out of the bathroom. They were all staring at the toilet until the door closes.
"She's a fish killer." Peach explained.
Madison looked at Nemo with worry as she saw the little clownfish panicked and was scared to death.
"I can't go with that girl. I have to get back to my dad." Nemo quickly swims away, trying to find away to get out, but something pulled him. The tube filter was sucking the water that it accidently sucked Nemo in. He was stuck. "Daddy! Help me!" he cried.
"He's stuck!" Gurgle cried out and the fishes gathered around him, trying to find a way to help him.
Madison wished she could do something, but she can't. She's still a spirit and she can't do anything except watching until...
"Nobody touch him!" a voice spoke.
The gang and Madison turned to where the pirate skull decoration was at and saw a Moorish Idol fish popped out of there as he was eyeing at Nemo in the tube. Madison realized that is was Gill as she could see the scar on his eye and the ruined fin.
"Nobody touch him." Gill spoke again and he slowly swim towards Nemo.
"Can you help me?" Nemo grunted and whimpered as he struggles to get out of the tube.
"No." Gill replied, "You got yourself in there, you can get yourself out."
"Uh, Gill..." Deb spoke as she was trying to reason him.
"I just wanna see him do it, okay?" he said to her and looked back at Nemo as he was still panicking, "Calm down. Alternate wiggling your fins and your tail."
"I can't. I have a bad fin." Nemo whined as he told him.
"Never stopped me."
The Moorish Fish swimmed to the side as he show Nemo his scar and the ruined fin of his. Nemo gasped softly in shock as he could see that he was like him.
"Just think about what you need to do." Gill told him as he turned to face him.
Nemo looked at him for a moment as he thought about Gill's fin. He starts straining as he starts wiggling from the tube.
"Come on..." Bloat spoke softly with encouragement as he and the gang watched.
"You got this, Nemo." Madison spoke, even though none of the fishes can hear her.
Nemo continued himself pulling with all his fish muscles. And with one last wiggle, the clownfish was finally out of the tube as it continued to suck the water. Nemo smiled as he couldn't believe he actually did it and looked at Gill.
"Perfect."
"Yay! You did it!" Bubbles cheered as he and the rest of the gang gathered around him as they were relieved.
"Good squirming." Deb smiled and laughed cheerfully.
Madison smiled with relief that he was fine and then turned her head to see where Gill and Peach are.
"Wow. From the ocean. Just like you, Gill." the starfish spoke as she looked at him.
"Yeah." he replied as he was staring at the young clownfish.
Peach chuckled as she looked at the fish.
"I've seen that look before. What are you thinking about?"
"I'm thinking... tonight, we give the kid a proper reception." he said to her.
"So kid, you got a name or what?" Bloat asked as he smiled at the young fish.
"Nemo. I'm Nemo." he replied as he introduced himself.
Madison smiled more as she knew that his new friends will be there for him, once she, Dory, and Marlin comes up and get him back home. Speaking of those two, she needs to wake up and be with them. She starts closing her eyes, relaxing as she thought about returning back to her body and about Marlin and Dory until the necklace began its work.
