Chapter 12: No tricks

Sheldon finally broke the hug "Missy I'm so sorry"

"Sheldon"

"You were right about her the whole time and I should have listened"

"Sheldon!"

"You and Georgie could've gotten-"

"SHELDON!" Missy yelled finally getting his attention "are you ok? Did she do anything to you?" Sheldon shook his head giving her some relief "good"

"We need to find Georgie" Sheldon said remembering they weren't out of this yet

"He's here?"

"Yeah, and the last I saw him he was fighting Marcas" Sheldon said ready to go back outside "are you sure you're alright?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine" Missy said trying to focus on helping Georgie

They left the room and went up the stairs carefully to not make any noise, Stephanie and Marcas could still be anywhere in this place. However for now it didn't seem like there was anyone in the stairwell.

"I really am sorry, I should have listened to you" Sheldon said, needing to get it out one more time

"This isn't your fault Sheldon, it's hers" Missy reassured. As they went up the basement stairs she still had a few things she was curious about "don't get me wrong I'm glad you're ok, but why didn't she do anything to you?"

"She said she wanted me to consent" Sheldon explained disgusted by his own words "that I'd… 'function' better, and it would be more successful" was the best way he could phrase it

"oh…..OH!" Missy said putting the pieces together "Oh eww" Missy groaned resisting the urge to throw up

"Do you know if Billy's here too?" Sheldon asked, making Missy nervous "I saw you guys together back at the hotel, do you think he's ok?"

Missy thought hard and chose her words very carefully "he…the last I saw him he ran off, I didn't see any of them chase him so I think he's fine" she lied knowing she'd regret this later

"Oh thank goodness" Sheldon said in relief while Missy sighed

They made it back to the floor where Sheldon and Georgie got separated. Sheldon slowly opened the door and exited with Missy, shutting the door slowly. They made their way back to right above where Sheldon fell, trying to make every step as quiet as possible.

They were done talking and on high alert for-

BANG

A loud noise came from down the hall and around the corner. Sheldon and Missy leaped into the closest room before they could think, shut off the lights, closed the door, and waited. They heard footsteps. They were slow and timid, yet echoed their ears with each one. A flash of light impaled the door window and stayed there. It stayed there for twenty seconds but it felt like twenty hours. The light went away giving them a strand of relief.

After counting down to two minutes they left the room and kept going, there wasn't any sign of who had that light. Sheldon contemplated if the halls had shrunk since the last time he'd been here as it felt like even was ready to crush him at any moment.

They were getting close to where Sheldon and Georgie split up, once there they'd-

"Awhh-" Missy almost sneezed but Sheldon covered her nose in time. She seemed alright for a minute before she did sneeze but into her arm, they'd be fin-

"Who's there?"

Sheldon froze as he recognized Stephanie's voice around the corner. Him and Missy hid in the same room, but they may have shut the door a bit too loudly

"Seriously, who's there?" they heard her again

They stayed as quiet as they could hoping she'd just pass by.

"Sheldon, is that you?" she said. There was a noise, the noise of a door opening; she was checking the rooms.

"Sheldon think about what you're doing, not saying I would but I do have the power to revoke your acceptance, all that work for nothing" she tried manipulating him, Missy waved her finger calling Stephanie crazy

"And what will your mother think when I tell her you were misbehaving?" Stephanie spoke with venom in her voice as she walked into the room next to theirs.

They could hear her creep through the room closest to theirs, they could almost feel her breathing down their shoulders.

Missy shushed Sheldon before she tiptoed over to the room across the hall and released the door from its latch and let it open. She tiptoed back and chose the rooms tv remote to grab ahold of. She silently asked if Stephanie was still in the next room and Sheldon nodded.

Missy took a deep breath stayed just outside their door and threw the tv remote into the other room causing an crash louder than expected, all they had to do was wait until-

POP

A gunshot caused Sheldon's eardrums to burst, he leaped away from the doorway and hid behind the door. Missy was so shocked that she didn't move and Sheldon had to drag her back and keep her behind him. He peeked outside to see Stephanie shot at the room Missy targeted and ricochet off the wall next it, the plan worked, he bounced back behind cover a second before Stephanie came into his view.

"Just a warning Sheldon, I'd never do a lethal shot on you. Running is a bad idea, it's too long a walk a home" she said approaching the distraction room

They'd have to move fast, but Missy still had her hand covering her mouth. That loud gunshot really must've scared her-...her other hand was grasping the core of her shirt, with red liquid on it.

Sheldon almost screamed but Missy moved her hand just in time to cover Sheldon's mouth. Sheldon ripped it off as his brain melted trying to think of how to help her. Not knowing what else to do, he helped Missy apply pressure to her wound. Sheldon kept looking back and forth between Missy and the doorway, listening to Stephanie make her way to the other room. What he thought was Stephanie going at a brisk pace now felt like the longest hike he had to wait for. Against Missy's wishes he got up and quietly looked through some of the cupboards looking for anything that could help her, but he found nothing.

Stephanie was about to step through the distraction room door, that was close enough. Sheldon tried to help Missy on her feet but she couldn't stand for long. He tried again and it hurt her too much to stand "Sheldon go" she whispered

"WHAT NO!" Sheldon whisper screamed

"I'll be fine, you need to get out of here" Missy insisted

Sheldon's face turned red trying to figure out a way out of this. He looked out the door to see Stephanie had already fully entered the distraction room, not wasting a second of time he picked Missy up. He stumbled a little, she wasn't considered heavy to someone with actual muscles but to Sheldon this was his lifting of the sky.

Missy tried gesturing for him to leave her but he carried out of their room, they heard Stephanie rummaging through a cupboard "Sheldon, you're being unreasonable" the mere mention of his name made Sheldon walk even more carefully, one creak in his shoes would get them caught.

"HUH" Stephanie said inside the room. Sheldon froze in place while Missy tried to be quiet while hyperventilating. There was silence for a while, no speech, no footsteps, no rummaging, nothing.

'AHHHHHH' Sheldon wanted to scream after something touched his leg but Missy managed to cover his mouth just in time.

"Fucking rats" Stephanie said in the other room. This gave Sheldon a little relief until he heard her slam the cupboards shut and get up.

With quick thinking Sheldon removed his shoes and began running, his socks were way quieter than his shoes, he ran down several halls taking a few turns. He ran as fast as he could to get Missy to safety, not caring how tired he was getting

"Wah!..Sheldon?" he heard her back where they were, she definitely found his shoes.

He didn't know how he did it but he made it to the operating rooms. He entered, laid Missy down, shut and locked the door behind him, all before collapsing in exhaustion. There was no time though, Sheldon got off his butt and rummaged through whatever supplies he could find in this room. He found some gauze and bandages and ran back to the table. Missy had lessened her grip and started bleeding more, he needed to save her and he needed to do it now! Missy was starting to look faint and about to shut her eyes. He quickly reapplied pressure to her wound and bandaged her abdomen.

"Hey! Missy!" he said trying to get her attention

"I'm just…just tired" she said as she started closing her eyes

"Missy!" he yelled, he snapped his fingers in her face, without thinking he slapped her and successfully woke her up, he immediately kept going and finished taping the bandage

As Sheldon sighed in relief that Missy would be safe, Missy looked towards the door as the hairs on her neck rose and kept her awake. The aura around it had changed as if something was pursuing them. She squinted through the darkness trying to see what-

A light shined through the window and touched her, the same light from earlier.

Sheldon noticed this a moment too late as the light pounced on him. Before long the door was rumbling as the light carrier tried to break in. Sheldon grabbed the doorknob and held it still as the intruder tried to get in.

Missy tried to get off the operating table but collapsed on the floor. There had to be a way out; a window, another door, a vent, a weapon, Anything.

The intruder had resorted to kicking the door open, causing Sheldon to lose some ground.

SLAM

The door was thrown open sending Sheldon crashing against the operating table. Missy threw a sharp tool at him but couldn't throw very far in her condition. The intruder grabbed Sheldon and dropped the blinding flashlight next to his face. Sheldon's vision slowly recovered to find….Georgie!

Georgie got Sheldon on his feet and did the same for Missy, before noticing her wound "what happened!?"

"Stephanie shot her"

"...I'll kill her for this" Georgie growled after a deep breath

But now everyone was accounted for and they could leave this madhouse. Sheldon and Georgie helped Missy walk, the exit was so close. "Here I found some of these" he said reveling Missy's hammer and a tear gas grenade

"What happened, you know to Marcus?" Sheldon asked

Georgie didn't say anything, now that they were at the corner to the exit hallway he pointed to a body laying next to the receptionary table, wearing Marcus's clothes and with a computer covered in blood where the head should be.

"Walk me over there, I want spit on it" Missy asked

Georgie and Sheldon decided to give her that, they made it three steps past the corner until they saw the sweet light of day-

BANG

A gunshot was heard causing Sheldon and Georgie to sprint Missy back behind the corner.

"SHELDON!" Stephanie's voice echoed towards them "you still owe me, and you're not leaving till I have what I deserve" she roared "you don't come out in two seconds then I'm coming in"

Sheldon raised his hands and began to walk out, Georgie grabbed him but Sheldon gestured to their weapons and he began to have an understanding with what he was planning. Georgie let Sheldon go and Sheldon began to march out towards the exit

"I'm coming out, if you want to shoot me be my guest" Sheldon threw in her face he came into her view "You shot my Sister!" he threw in her face.

Stephanie kept her gun aimed at where Georgie and Missy were hiding while she approached Sheldon and grabbed ahold of him. "Alright now if the rest of you want to live you'll come out and do what I say" she said before flipping the safety off again

No one came out.

Stephanie didn't give them a second chance and marched to the side of the hallway opposite to them, and made her way to where they'd be in her line of sight. She never let go of Sheldon. She was getting in view of where they were hiding, with a gun aimed, but they moved on.

"Sorry Sheldon, they left you behind" she tried getting into his head

Stephanie was still moving right where they needed her too- she stopped. Wha- why did she stop, there was still a little more to go. Sheldon tried to shake it off as he could tell Stephanie got some pleasure from his elevated heart rate.

She stood there looking around; the path she was supposed to go, the exit, and him. They didn't leave any trace for her to find, she didn't know what they had against her… right?

"Oh what a pity. It appears your family left you" Stephanie spat sarcastically, clearly given up on seeming endearing. "Well they'll make it home eventually, I guess I'll take Sheldon out tonight" she said slowly and steadily making her way to the exit with Sheldon

Sheldon finally started struggling to break free, giving Stephanie a huge grin for playing her cards right. She made her way towards the exit, the sunlight grasping the trim of her hair. As she turned her head to the sun-

"Yuhhh" the faint sound of a dead man throwing something

"Boink" Stephanie playfully said as she precisely kicked the tear gas grenade back in Georgie's direction

The grenade went off, trapping Georgie. As he coughed Stephanie forced Sheldon to the desk, much easier than before, and handcuffed him to the counter.

"GEORGIE! GEORGIE!" Sheldon tried to call out, whether to beg for help or to warn him he wasn't sure

Georgie ran out of the tear gas with Missy's hammer, but the moment he stepped out of that gas Stephanie smashed his head into the counter and slapped the hammer out of his hand back into the hall. Georgie was disoriented but retaliated by punching her ribs as hard as he could, sending her back.

At this point Sheldon yanked hard on the handcuffs, then he did it again, then again that time definitely fracturing his wrist.

Meanwhile Georgie charged at Stephanie and pinned her to the ground, she had her hand on his throat pushing him away but he still threw a few punches "You…Fucking…Bitch" he said before missing his third punch and hitting the floor.

Stephanie released him from her grip throwing him off balance, she immediately grabbed his head and smashed it repeatedly into the floor.

Sheldon was yanking on his cuffs even harder, he felt them getting weaker and weaker and close to breaking, Georgie needed help Right Now!

After ten or fifteen smashes into the floor Stephanie let him go as he laid there clearly concussed. She limped over to a box near the exit, and she raised an axe already stained with blood.

"GEORGIE GET UP NOWWWW!" Sheldon exploded as he fractured the handcuffs

Stephanie noticed this and picked up the pace until she was standing over Georgie.

Sheldon yanked one more time and finally broke the cuffs. It was too late. She was already standing over Georgie ready to throw the axe down, there was nothing he could do to sav-

"I CAVE!" he screamed halting her descent right before the blade touched Georgie

"What?" Stephanie asked

"...spare him….and I'll give you what you want"

"Shel-" Georgie got out but Stephanie kicked him, knocking him out

She returned her gaze towards Sheldon, the look of desperation and terror in his eyes gave her confidence. She pondered for just a moment "No Tricks" she demanded

Sheldon nodded

Stephanie pulled a bottle of Sildenafil out of her pocket and tossed them to him

Sheldon opened the bottle and dumped it into his mouth and down his throat. Who knows, maybe he'll overdose and die before he could feel anything.

Stephanie tried to keep herself proper despite being insanely impatient. She didn't say anything else, she just held her arm towards him and pointed to the ground

He grabbed the hem of his pants and did what she asked.

Stephanie stumbled back as she was mesmerized, Sheldon had to watch as she stared at him and licked her lips.

She pounced.

All Sheldon could see after a blur was the back of her head going up and down. His hearing was completely gone after two seconds, blocked out by ringing. After what may have been decades of this he lost his vision, unsure if this was his eyes shutting down or his mind going blank.

He was brought back back from hell when she started using her teeth, not enough to do anything about but enough to let him know it was still happening.

He needed to see Georgie before he was lost again, he was alive…at least the others might make it out of this.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Missy, crawling out from around the corner as best she could. He hated that she was seeing him this way, seeing him as helpless, weak, pathetic as he was right now. He could only hope that-

What was she doing? She was dragging herself towards the hammer that women threw away earlier- she threw it towards him.

"Wha-" Stephanie said just as Sheldon caught it in midair and smashed it against the side of her head. She looked to be screaming on the floor but he didn't listen very well and swung again, stunning her and leaving a divot above her right eye. He swung again, breaking through the skull, spilling pinkish-gray fluid on the floor. He swung again, breaking off more of the skull and causing her right arm to stop and shake. He kept swinging, until her nose was shattered and crushed like grape, until both her eyeballs eventually relaxed and fell out of her sockets and into the puddle of brain, until her teeth were scattered all over the floor, until her lower jaw gave in and just fell right off, until her hair was torn apart in chunks of skin and soaking in pinkish-grey. Eventually he stopped when he saw Missy crawled her way over, Sheldon immediately dropped the hammer and helped her up.

'Phew' the sound of Missy spitting on Stephanie's corpse reached him.

Sheldon sat her down at the counter before going to help Georgie "Sheldon wait-" Missy said but Sheldon was fixated on Georgie. Missy began to rest her eyes, using all her remaining strength the last couple minutes, she caught a glimpse of Sheldon stoically setting Georgie in a chair and going to the phone to dial a number.
